Chapter 2: Biluo Continent
Time and space shifted.
Biluo Continent.
Pain.
Su Luo felt as though her entire body was being pricked by needles, or had been crushed by a heavy truck. The agony was so intense her heart almost stopped beating.
In her dazed state, she slowly opened her heavy eyelids. Staring at the dirty white gauze mosquito net above her and the tattered quilt, she couldn't quite process what was happening for a moment.
"Su Luo, you wretched bitch! Why aren't you dead? Why did you have to wake up? Die, die, just die!" A sharp, piercing voice shrieked angrily by Su Luo's bedside.
Su Luo found herself utterly weak. With great effort, she turned her head toward the source of the voice.
It was a very pretty girl, around fourteen or fifteen years old. She wore a light gauze dress, with a pale green jade hairpin in her hair—though its quality wasn't the best. Her face was slightly round, her features delicate and fine.
The girl was beautiful, but her actions were vicious. In her hand, she held a thick needle used for sewing shoe soles, its surface gleaming with a cold, sinister light.
Her eyes were twisted with malice as she relentlessly stabbed the needle into Su Luo's body. She targeted the flesh hidden beneath the clothes, so that no one would notice unless they undressed her.
It hurt! This was sheer torture! How utterly despicable!
Su Luo tried to speak but found her mouth gagged with a rag. She tried to resist but discovered she didn't even have the strength to lift a finger.
Seeing Su Luo conscious, the malicious girl coldly ordered another, slightly older girl, "Third Sister, hit her! Hit her to death!"
Obediently, this Third Sister began slapping Su Luo hard across the face.
A cold glint flashed in Su Luo's eyes: *This torture, these slaps—I, Su Luo, will remember every single one.*
Su Luo could endure no more and finally sank into a swamp-like darkness.
"Young Miss… sob… Young Miss, please don't die…" A young, girlish voice wept miserably and mournfully, her throat seemingly raw from crying.
Awakened by the sound of crying and feeling someone shaking her vigorously, Su Luo groggily came to.
"Y-Young Miss?" The girl named Luluo, who had been weeping bitterly, looked up and met Su Luo's gaze. Her face immediately lit up with a mixture of shock and joy.
Now Su Luo could see the young maid clearly. She was about fourteen or fifteen, with fairly delicate features. However, her face was now covered in red, swollen slap marks, and her eyes were puffy like peaches, making her look utterly wretched.
Shifting her gaze around the room, she saw a table missing a leg, broken chairs, and a chipped teapot and cups. The whole place looked like an African slum.
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through Su Luo's head as memories flooded in like a tidal wave.
So it was true—she had really transmigrated.
This wasn't any familiar dynasty from her world, but the Biluo Continent, a place never recorded in Chinese history. Here, martial prowess reigned supreme.
The continent was divided into four kingdoms: Eastern Ling, Western Jin, South Wind, and Northern Desert. These four nations formed a square, encircling the legendary Dark Forest in their center—a place teeming with Demonic Beasts, where only Martial Artists dared to tread.
Su Luo was currently in the Grand General's mansion of the Dongling Kingdom. Her father was the Grand General Protecting the Nation, Su Zian, and she was the so-called Trash, the good-for-nothing, the idiot Fourth Young Miss of the Su Family.
On the Biluo Continent, every child underwent a talent test at the age of five. This test was crucial enough to determine the course of one's entire life.
Before this test, Su Luo had been the pride of the Su Family. At her birth, extraordinary phenomena occurred: the sky filled with radiant light, a rainbow paved a path, and a divine bird circled the entire imperial capital. Everyone proclaimed that the Fourth Young Miss of the Su Family was destined for greatness.
However, at the talent test five years later, this most highly anticipated Fourth Young Miss delivered a shocking upset—she was revealed to have zero talent, a Trash utterly incapable of practicing martial arts.
The expectations had been too high, the disappointment too great. In a fit of rage, Su Zian threw Su Luo into a remote courtyard to fend for herself. Su Luo's mother, scorned and disgraced, eventually died of depression.
