Chapter 2038: Dim Lights, Approaching the Sea

Wang Lin departed.

At the moment his figure vanished from the Immortal Cave Realm, in the Luotian Star Domain, on an ordinary Cultivation Planet, there was a woman. She wore purple robes, her beautiful hair reaching her waist, standing atop a high mountain Peak. Her dark hair was lifted by the wind, her dress fluttered, and her expression was calm yet elegant.

She looked at the sky. If one were to look closely in the sunlight, they could see the faint, beautiful downy hairs on her face. At this moment, her eyes held confusion. In that instant just now, she felt a Divine Sense arrive, pause beside her, and then vanish without a trace.

She had initially thought it was an illusion, but when the Divine Sense disappeared, a Jade Slip materialized out of thin air before her. The Jade Slip floated silently there, emitting a soft glow, perfectly still.

She was Xizi Feng.

Staring blankly at the Jade Slip before her, the soft light emanating from it revealed a wisp of familiar aura. That aura seemed to haunt her dreams, unforgettable for an eternity.

"Wang Lin…" Xizi Feng remained silent for a long time. She raised her jade hand, gently held the Jade Slip, closed her eyes, and immersed her Divine Sense within it. Inside, there was Wang Lin's voice.

After a very long time, when Xizi Feng opened her eyes again, a gentle smile appeared on her face. That smile was beautiful.

Also within the Immortal Cave Realm, in the desolate sea of stars in the Outer Realm, large amounts of shattered stones floated. They seemed to contain a strange rule, autonomously tracing a giant arc, slowly revolving.

Inside the largest shattered stone at the very center, an old man sat cross-legged. The old man's complexion was ruddy, and he breathed calmly. After every period of time, gray light would flash several times from his body, as if a stream of gray qi was emanating from within him, merging into the shattered stone, spreading outward, and then being absorbed by the other shattered stones nearby.

A long time ago, these shattered stones were not here. No one knows which year, but after this old man arrived, more and more shattered stones gradually materialized out of thin air, seemingly created by his Divine Ability… This old man was the stone statue deep within the Immortal Realm, beneath the Rift, back in the Wind Immortal Realm. If it weren't for him, Wang Lin's battle against Daoist Shui back then would have been much more perilous.

At this moment, the old man's eyes were closed. As he quietly breathed, he forced the petrification power within his body out. The large quantity of shattered stones existing here were born in this manner.

"I need three hundred more years to fully recover… Then I will leave here and return to… my homeland…" The old man opened his eyes, his gaze seemingly able to penetrate the shattered stone and see the calm, vast starry sky.

He was not a Cultivator of the Immortal Cave Realm; he came from the Immortal Astral Continent, from the Seven Dao Sect… In reality, he was merely a personal Disciple of the Seven-Colored Immortal Venerable.

While muttering, he felt reluctance toward the Immortal Cave Realm; he had been here for a long time. After a brief silence, he sighed inwardly and closed his eyes again. Just as he was about to continue meditating, a surge of Divine Sense power suddenly arrived, sweeping through the area of shattered stones where he resided.

The power of this Divine Sense shocked the old man's heart and mind. He knew clearly that if the owner of this Divine Sense hadn't wanted him to notice, he would absolutely not have been able to detect its arrival.

In his perception, the strength of this Divine Sense was already comparable to heavenly might.

The Divine Sense swept past without pausing, but after it dissipated, while the old man was still filled with doubt and surprise, a Medicinal Pill materialized out of thin air before him.

The Medicinal Pill was entirely crimson, emitting bursts of astonishing Heaven and Earth power. He merely inhaled its fragrance, and the petrification power within his body was immediately suppressed.

Gazing at the Medicinal Pill and recalling the Divine Sense from moments ago, the old man gradually found a trace of familiarity. His expression was dazed, and after a while, he muttered.

"It's him…"

Similarly, at this very moment, the instant Wang Lin stepped out of the Immortal Cave Realm and departed, in the Outer Realm's sea of stars, within an ordinary Cultivation Planet, an infant who was sleeping with his eyes closed in the core of the planet felt his eyelids tremble, as if about to open.

But after a long time, he still did not open his eyes. Instead, he gradually calmed down again, remaining in slumber. Inside and outside this planet, boundless spiritual power slowly converged from all directions, being absorbed by the infant, becoming the nourishment for his growth.

Before him, there was a Jade Slip formed by Divine Sense. That Jade Slip was not physically real but existed between illusion and reality, floating quietly, waiting for the day the infant would awaken and see it.

The Cultivation Planet where this infant resided was extremely ordinary, showing no strange features. But if there was one thing, it was that when viewed from afar in the starry sky, the planet faintly resembled an eyeball.

The mountain ranges on that Cultivation Planet resembled the blood vessels of an eyeball, the vast seas were like the white of the eye outside the pupil, and the continents within the sea looked like the pupil itself.

Wang Lin had visited this place before. He had not only seen Tosen, who had transformed into an infant, but also the Cultivation Planet that Tosen had found and decided to slumber on.

After Wang Lin departed, the Immortal Cave Realm was immersed in peace, recuperating and gradually growing stronger. Furthermore, a power that was almost imperceptible to anyone spread throughout the entire world here the moment Wang Lin stepped out of the Immortal Cave Realm.

This power could protect this place for generations, ensuring that the Immortal Cave Realm would never again experience something like what happened with Chi Hunzi.

On the Immortal Astral Continent, within the region belonging to the Immortal Clan, specifically in Dongzhou, Tianniu Continent, on a mountain Peak shrouded in mist, a mighty force surged into the sky that day, transforming into countless crystalline lights that spread in all directions.

After the crystalline light dispersed, Wang Lin, clad in white robes and with white hair, slowly walked out from the mountain gate of the former Seven Dao Sect, right next to the entrance to the Immortal Cave Realm.

Three hundred years passed in an instant, like the blink of an eye. Wang Lin stood there, looking at the sky of the Immortal Astral Continent. After a moment of silence, he quietly walked forward.

"Seven Dao Sect…" Wang Lin murmured. Before leaving, he raised his right hand and flicked his sleeve. Immediately, a fierce wind swept across the entire Seven Dao Sect. The ruins of the place vanished, replaced by an extremely magnificent and solemn Sect.

"Let this place become the home for everyone who leaves the Immortal Cave Realm…" Wang Lin murmured, reaching out his right hand toward the sky. Immediately, nearly twenty light clusters flashed out, shooting toward the heavens like long rainbows, speeding in all directions, and vanishing in the blink of an eye.

These nearly twenty light clusters appeared in various locations across the Immortal Clan's land.

Qing Shui, walking in a desert, seemed to sense something. As he looked up, a light cluster instantly arrived and merged into his body. His body trembled, and moments later, he opened his eyes, a smile appearing on his face.

Hong Shanzi was speeding across the sky. Ahead of him was a sword light containing a fierce-looking old man, but beneath that ferocity was hidden fear, as he fled at full speed.

Hong Shanzi's expression was grim as he pursued relentlessly. But just then, a light cluster appeared out of thin air and merged into Hong Shanzi's glabella, causing his eyes to narrow. He glanced in the direction of the Tianniu Continent; his grim face softened, but his pursuit speed became even faster.

Qing Lin, Zhou Ru, Hong Die, Zhou Yi, and almost all the Reincarnated individuals from the Immortal Cave Realm received the arriving light clusters and sensed the location of the Seven Dao Sect. Even if they remained Mortals in this life, their memories of the Seven Dao Sect would slowly awaken in the future.

Taking one last look at the Seven Dao Sect, Wang Lin walked out of the mountain gate. Outside the Seven Dao Sect, he had set up a massive great formation. This formation was comparable to the Immortal Realm's great formation within the Immortal Cave Realm. This way, whether he could emerge from the Primordial God Realm or not, the safety of the Immortal Cave Realm and the existence of the Seven Dao Sect would be guaranteed.

Having completed this task, Wang Lin did not look back. He took a step toward the sky, his figure gradually becoming transparent until it vanished.

"Three hundred years is more than several lifetimes for a Mortal, but for a Cultivator, it is not long… Fengzi became an Immortal Emperor, and Jidu became the Primeval Ancient Emperor. I wonder how they are doing…" Wang Lin murmured.

"And… where exactly is Li Qianmei…" Wang Lin sighed softly. He could guess that Li Qianmei, like Qing Shui, must have recovered her memories on her own. He could also sense the reason why Li Qianmei was avoiding him.

"Is she silently wishing me well…" Wang Lin raised his head, looking at the distant sky, silent. He always remembered Li Qianmei's whisper, the story of the flying bird and the fish.

After a long time, Wang Lin closed his eyes and walked step by step toward the direction of the Ancient Clan.

"I once promised Ancient Dao that when entering the Primordial God Realm, I would enter from the Ancient Clan's direction." Wang Lin remembered his promise from back then. His figure, several days later, had traversed the entire Immortal Clan region, arriving at the edge of the basin formed by the boundless sea, and walked toward the center of this basin, toward the Sea Wall that resembled a storm.

Before getting too close, Wang Lin could hear the roaring and whistling sounds, which seemed to stir up the wind and clouds, darkening the sky. That seemingly endless Sea Wall, now seen again after three hundred years, was even more violent than before.

Amidst the continuous rumbling sounds, the Sea Wall rotated rapidly, stirring up massive ripples, like waves suspended mid-air, constantly crashing against each other, seemingly intent on soaring into the sky. Deep within it, nine massive Sky-Piercing Pillars emitted nine-colored light, causing this light to permeate the entire Sea Wall and refract outward, seemingly enveloping the surroundings in a nine-colored illusion.

This illusion carried a sense of mystery, capable of capturing the mind and causing people to become hopelessly addicted. Furthermore, due to the various rumors about the Primordial God Realm on the Immortal Astral Continent, this place was filled with desire—the desire to become stronger.

Wang Lin stood beside the Sea Wall. Without the slightest hesitation, he pierced through the Sea Wall and appeared on the side belonging to the Ancient Clan. There, he calmly sat down cross-legged, quietly waiting for the opening of this place several months later.

As the time slowly approached, the Ancient Clan and the Immortal Clan on the Immortal Astral Continent, having prepared for hundreds of years, seemed like two Vicious Beasts awakening from slumber, erupting with Peak power.
