Chapter 204: Sleeping? (Subscribe)

Chapter 204: Taking a Long Nap? (Seeking Subscriptions)

For a long time—well, Godzilla spent most of his time in slumber.

But Godzilla felt that the lifeless outer world was simply not suitable for survival.

Even if Godzilla could survive there.

So, Godzilla casually chose to rest briefly in this world.

Then, he would return to the world where he became Godzilla.

After all, having been away for so long, he still wanted to go back and see what that world had become.

As the seawater in the space gradually submerged Godzilla's body, in the comfortable seawater, Godzilla slowly closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

Unlike his previous periods of deep slumber, this was a simpler sleep.

Although there wasn't much difference between the two, Godzilla was undoubtedly more relaxed this time.

And Godzilla had forgotten that he had long since become extraordinary; this sleep, he didn't know how long it would last!

Although Godzilla's attacks were not aimed at anyone, his attacks did not kill a single human.

But the impact on this world was enormous!

Even if humans didn't discover the fortress falling from the sky, Godzilla's undisguised flight from the atmosphere into the Earth and then into the sea could not possibly go undetected!

Not to mention the immense impact caused by Godzilla experimenting with various attacks in the sea afterward!

However, if it came to the human side investigating, they still didn't dare.

Although it was just a fleeting glimpse, the energy they detected was not comparable to all human atomic bombs combined and multiplied by one hundred!

And that was just for a brief moment!

It was hard to imagine what kind of powerful strength that giant, dragon-like Creature possessed!

This made the human side not dare to approach easily, fearing that they would anger the other party, who would then attack the planet beneath their feet.

At that time, tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions—without that giant dragon even needing to attack human Cities, these disasters alone would be enough to bring about the annihilation of humanity.

Just as the human side was feeling uneasy, they gradually discovered that there was no movement at all in the place where the giant dragon, observed by satellites, should have been.

The fleeting glimpse of the pillar of light that shot out from the seabed had not reappeared.

This made humans wonder if the giant dragon had fallen asleep?

Of course, this was just their delusion; it was more likely that this giant dragon was preparing an even more terrifying attack!

So, the human side even began to prepare to leave Earth!

Earth was too dangerous; they were going to Mars!

And in fact, Godzilla really was asleep!

Although the public didn't know that a terrifying entity had descended upon Earth, they could feel that the world's atmosphere had changed.

First, Various countries were vigorously developing aerospace technology.

Manned moon landings, going to Mars—it seemed like there were daily news reports about it.

Most importantly, they weren't just talking; they were actually preparing to make the aforementioned a reality!

Moreover, this time, Various countries seemed to have set aside their past grievances and were cooperating as never before!

This was incredible.

A few years later, this trend gradually subsided.

And some high-ranking officials in certain countries even wondered if that giant dragon had truly fallen asleep, and they didn't need to go to Mars anymore?

Although with current technology, even going to the Moon might not ensure long-term survival, truthfully, the possibility of going to Mars was not very high.

To be honest, no one would choose to leave their homeland unless absolutely forced.

But that giant dragon was a sword hanging over everyone's heads, capable of falling at any moment.

As time passed, a few more years went by, and the giant dragon in the deep sea still showed no signs of movement.

This led some Scientists to speculate whether that giant dragon had already died!?

The energy they detected when it descended upon Earth was the last burst of energy from that giant dragon.

This speculation received support from many people.

Otherwise, it would be impossible to explain why the giant dragon hadn't appeared for such a long time; could it really be asleep?

Could it be that the giant dragon traveled an unknown distance to Earth just to take a long nap?

Even if it came to Earth to take a long nap, shouldn't it have cleared out the unstable factors on Earth before sleeping?

Such as humans—therefore, humans also became bolder, and nuclear submarines had already begun tentatively searching the sea area where Godzilla landed.

But even they didn't know what they would find.

Fearing that Godzilla was not dead, those nuclear submarines were not so reckless, only slowly making their way to the sea area where Godzilla was located.

Thus, several more years passed.

They finally discovered a giant purple octahedron at the bottom of the sea!

That was the fortress that had fallen to the seabed!

After humans discovered this octahedron, it immediately caused a stir in human society!

They immediately associated this object with the giant dragon that had descended earlier.

They speculated that it was left behind after the giant dragon died; some speculated that the giant dragon had not died but was sleeping inside this object!

Some even speculated that it was the giant dragon's egg!

Of course, no one paid attention to those who proposed this point.

How big was this thing? And how big was that giant dragon?

An egg?

What on earth were you thinking?

No matter how you thought about it, this thing couldn't possibly be an egg, could it?

And next, how to deal with this thing became a problem.

After all, they wanted to move this thing from the seabed, but they were afraid that moving it would trigger something and cause a disaster.

So, Various countries spent an unknown amount of manpower and resources to build an underwater Laboratory around this octahedron.

Fortunately, this sea area was not too deep.

Otherwise, they would have had to give up.

And just as the Laboratory was being built, strange things happened.

In the surrounding sea area, unusual Creatures frequently appeared.

These Creatures were somewhat like fish, but there was a difference, as they had grown hands and feet!

They were exactly like the legendary mermen.

Most importantly, there were quite a lot of these mermen, causing a lot of trouble for humans building the Laboratory.

After paying some price to kill these mermen, people strangely discovered that anyone who had come into contact with the mermen had grown strange scales on their bodies.

Those scales were like a curse; once one grew, it couldn't be gotten rid of, and more and more scales would grow in a very short time until they covered the whole body, and then the person would become another merman!

This made people wonder if all those mermen were transformed humans!
