Chapter 205: The Plan (Seeking Subscriptions)
Humans had to admit that ever since the “Giant Dragon” descended, some unknown changes, incomprehensible to humanity, had occurred on Earth.
From a certain point in time, some unknown Creatures suddenly appeared on Earth. These Creatures couldn't be described as particularly powerful.
No matter how bizarre these Creatures looked, they were still vulnerable to human thermal weapons.
However, these Creatures seemed to carry a heavy pollution, and anyone who came into contact with them suffered from contamination and underwent mutations!
And the fate of those people was often not good.
Those who couldn't accept the mutation and committed suicide were perhaps the ones with the best outcome among them.
From the initial ugly, nauseatingly fishy Fishmen, to later disgusting Creatures with starfish-like heads and octopus-like bodies, whose names were unknown.
Creatures like these, with different species crudely stitched together to challenge human endurance, appeared one after another.
Due to the obstruction of these Creatures, the Laboratory built around the octahedron was completed more than a decade later than the estimated time!
Just as people were preparing to study this mysterious alien object and unravel all its mysteries, the true horror had only just begun!
The radiation of pollution not only occurred in the ocean, but the Land was also affected. On the Land, various strange Creatures began to appear.
They seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, without any warning.
Especially those Creatures that appeared in human towns, causing countless casualties to humanity.
This caused widespread panic in human society, with everyone believing that the end of the world was coming. Especially considering that Various countries had vigorously developed aerospace technology in previous years, which further confirmed their speculation.
Otherwise, why would they run away?
However, the octahedron, which the high-ranking officials of Various countries had been longing for, yielded no clues, no matter how much they studied it.
They didn't even know what material its outer shell was made of.
It was entirely composed of substances not found on Earth, or even in the Solar System.
After years of research, they couldn't even chip off a single fragment from this object!
The hardness of this object made it impossible for Scientists from Various countries to damage it using almost all available methods, let alone conduct further research.
This plunged the Scientists into distress, causing them to lose countless strands of hair.
How could they research this?
Therefore, an unknown number of Scientists fell into a trance.
Some even planned to use a nuclear explosion to blast it.
In fact, the Scientists already knew that the power of a nuclear explosion would have no effect on this object.
Before this, they had used lasers to heat the surface of this object, heating it to over a hundred million degrees. Apart from the surface turning slightly red, there was no effect whatsoever.
Even after stopping the heating, the reddened areas visibly returned to their original color, all within three seconds!
This led many Scientists to speculate that this octahedron was “alive”!
Its recovery ability was simply too abnormal.
Some Scientists even had a vague premonition.
They felt that the octahedron was watching them, that it knew everything they were doing to it, but it didn't care!
This arrogance, as if looking down on ants, disheartened many Scientists.
This almost most important place in the world earned the title “Scientists' Graveyard.” An unknown number of Scientists wanted to enter here, and an unknown number of Scientists left in despair.
Inside the octahedron, at its very center, a huge brain emitted mysterious fluctuations.
And the factory, composed of flesh and blood, that enveloped this brain, worked ceaselessly.
In all the spaces within the entire fortress, apart from the spaces where the Monsters that guarded the fortress lived, and the spaces where Godzilla was sleeping and nearby, all other spaces with living Creatures were the sub-brain's testing grounds!
A vast number of living beings lived here. Within these spaces, the unique environment allowed them to survive.
However, under the sub-brain's destruction, the number of these living beings had dwindled to a pitiful state.
And the world where Godzilla chose to briefly hibernate, an entire planet, was a perfect testing ground for the sub-brain!
The Creatures that appeared outside, resembling a child's scribbles, with different Creatures crudely stitched together, were the sub-brain's masterpieces.
Currently, inside the “Monster Factory,” a Creature with a three-point resemblance to Godzilla, possessing wings like a giant dragon, was sleeping.
This was the sub-brain's latest masterpiece. Although it didn't possess the terrifying power of Godzilla, if this fellow could successfully emerge, then it would be the most powerful Monster apart from Godzilla and the fortress itself!
This Monster could be said to be a low-spec version of Godzilla!
In fact, it was simply a recreation of the power Godzilla possessed before obtaining S2.
It had a fusion Atomic Reactor, Gravity Organ, Electromagnetic Pulse Organ, and so on, within its body.
It could even, to some extent, borrow the power of the Purple Mist!
It could be said that apart from the power originating from the S2 Organ, it possessed almost all of Godzilla's abilities!
This single Monster alone would be enough to destroy an entire civilization!
This Monster had reached the final debugging stage and was about to emerge.
However, the sub-brain did not intend to release it in the short term, because the civilization on the planet outside, which was the best testing ground for this Monster as an experiment, was not yet strong enough. Releasing it now would be completely bullying them!
Wait a little longer, wait for the civilization outside to develop for some time.
And to prevent the outside world from being too peaceful, the sub-brain would occasionally create a few small Monsters and throw them out.
Once they adapted, the sub-brain also planned to release a pair of MUTOs to give them a little bit of a giant beast shock.
Under normal circumstances, in a few more years, this Monster would appear on the outside planet and wipe out all civilizations on the surface.
But just as this Monster had been debugged and was about to emerge, the sub-brain discovered a strange little fellow.
It was called strange because that little fellow possessed a very powerful mind aptitude and actually discovered the sub-brain deep within the fortress.
So, the sub-brain postponed the plan and instead began to observe this human with powerful mind aptitude!
People with mind aptitude were one in ten thousand, and humans who could traverse through layers of space and vaguely sense the existence of the sub-brain were even rarer.
One might not even find one in an entire era.
