Chapter 26: Electromagnetic Gun

Looking at Godzilla, who seemed unharmed after being struck by lightning, the Kaiju was stunned, and the Precursors behind it were also stunned.

The current released by the Kaiju was not the static electricity that sparks when you touch a metal object, merely numbing your fingertips.

When ordinary Creatures touched the attack released by the Kaiju, they were carbonized instantly. Even metal would twist, deform, or even melt.

Godzilla, however, completely exceeded their comprehension. The Precursors simply couldn't understand why Godzilla was completely fine.

But the humans who witnessed this scene via satellite felt no surprise.

Or rather, if Godzilla were to be injured by the Kaiju's attack, that would be truly surprising.

One must know, Godzilla's mass is astonishingly immense, a mass so vast that it is enough for Godzilla to withstand any level of attack.

"Where is Godzilla? Where is Godzilla?"

At this moment, in the Shatterdome's command center, Dr. Newton and Dr. Hermann rushed over.

At this point in time, Dr. Newton, who should have come up with the bold idea of neural bridging with the Kaiju's sub-brain, did not do so.

He didn't even think of it.

Because he now had an existence that made him even crazier!

That was Godzilla.

As the most outstanding biologist on Earth, Newton's fanaticism for Godzilla was something ordinary people couldn't understand.

Moreover, there was a high probability that Godzilla was an indigenous Creature of Earth!

One must know, Godzilla's body is filled with elements of Earth's Creatures; this is not difficult to discern.

As for why Godzilla hadn't appeared before, it might be because he was in slumber and only recently awakened.

Compared to Newton, who was engrossed in his frenzied research on Godzilla, Hermann had been in a bad state for the entire month.

As the most outstanding mathematician on Earth, Hermann believed in the truth that "numbers do not lie."

After all, if you don't understand politics, you can write nonsense. If you don't understand English, you can guess reading comprehension. But if you don't understand math, you can only write "Solution."

Because if you don't know, you just don't know.

Originally, in his plan, it was impossible for so many Kaiju to appear from the wormhole last time, but they did.

And this time, there had been no activity for an entire month.

This caused him to lose a lot of hair over the past month.

And now, the culprit of all this finally appeared, and they immediately rushed over.

If it weren't for a month of continuous research that made their legs weak and unable to walk properly, they would have arrived even earlier.

"How is it? Has Godzilla confronted the Kaiju?"

Newton opened his mouth and immediately asked the question he cared about most.

"Dr. Newton, you guessed correctly. As soon as the Kaiju appeared, Leviathan swam towards the Kaiju, and the Kaiju met Leviathan head-on."

Leviathan was the name humans gave to Godzilla.

Others had no objection to this name; after all, Godzilla himself was an unmatched monster, so being called Leviathan was not wrong.

But Dr. Newton had quite a few opinions on this. However, his voice was too small, and he didn't want to waste more energy on the name, so he didn't say much.

This month, Newton proposed several hypotheses regarding Godzilla.

One of the most widely accepted was that Godzilla and the Kaiju were mortal enemies, with no possibility of coexistence.

Because for a monster as powerful as Godzilla, the entire Earth could potentially be his territory.

Therefore, when facing the invading Kaiju, he wouldn't show a good face.

Moreover, the Kaiju's destruction of Earth was simply too severe.

One must know, over the years, when monsters died, their blood would inevitably spill. That blood caused severe environmental pollution and was difficult to clean up.

To deal with that blood, humans could only dig a large pit and then seal it deep underground with concrete.

Besides that, there was no other good way.

But that was a method for Land. For the Kaiju killed in the ocean, their blood flowing into the ocean could not be cleaned up.

Therefore, after the Jaegers were invented and became stronger than the Kaiju, they generally wouldn't kill Kaiju too close to the Land.

Of course, given the volume of the ocean, the Kaiju's blood might not cause much pollution at all.

But perhaps Leviathan could detect it?

Therefore, they were not surprised at all that Godzilla and the Kaiju started fighting.

What truly surprised them was how strong the Kaiju's power was!

At this moment, everyone in the entire Shatterdome felt very complicated.

This feeling of staking one's fate on a non-human Creature was truly unpleasant.

In fact, even among humans, relying on a stranger feels just as bad.

But now, they had no other choice.

—After realizing its attack had no effect, the electric-discharging Kaiju quickly reacted.

Its two forelimbs spread open, revealing a pair of exaggerated wings, and then with a flap, it flew into the sky.

Godzilla watched the Kaiju looking down at him from above, his Eyes narrowing slightly.

Godzilla's Eyes were no longer the dead fish-Eyes from before, but rather intimidating vertical pupils.

Being stared at by Godzilla, even the fearless Kaiju felt a chill, so it flew even higher.

After flying higher, the entire Kaiju appeared to be standing on its head, tail up.

Subsequently, the horn on its head lit up, and electric light gradually spread from the horn to its spine, and then to the tip of its tail.

Looking at it this way, the entire body of this Kaiju was enveloped in electric light.

"What is it going to do?"

Inside the Shatterdome base, everyone who noticed this scene stared intently at this unusual Kaiju.

"This reaction—could it be an Electromagnetic Cannon!?"

Upon realizing that the Kaiju's internal energy was gradually rising and that it had straightened its body, someone suddenly thought of something and exclaimed.

"An Electromagnetic Cannon? How is that possible? That's a Kaiju—"

Before the sentence was finished, a golden flash appeared on the screen projected in front.

Then, Godzilla's previously raised head was slammed into the water by this golden light, splashing waves dozens of meters high.

Following that was the residual and gradually disappearing trajectory between the Kaiju and Godzilla.

At this point, everyone could no longer deny it.

Even if the attack used by the Kaiju wasn't an Electromagnetic Cannon, it was close enough.

But the question was, how could a Kaiju master such an attack?

This was not something that could be easily evolved.

Coupled with Newton's previous observation that all Kaiju had the same genes, a terrifying thought emerged in Newton's mind.

Could it be that these Kaiju were all cloned biological weapons?
