Chapter 265

Natasha was yanked flying. When she landed, she found herself at someone’s feet. Under those circumstances, she should have immediately taken evasive action, opened up distance from the enemy, and turned the unfavorable situation around. But when she heard that teasingly gentle voice, Natasha froze. As if possessed, she looked up, not even knowing why herself.

"Sarah?" The woman smiled like a blooming flower, looking down at her with flirtatious eyes, her arms folded over a chest even a few sizes fuller than Natasha’s. Natasha recognized her at once. She was Evenson’s finance manager and household director, Sarah.

Though they had only met a few times, Sarah had left a deep impression on Natasha. Every time they met, Sarah would stare at her with a very strange look in her eyes—the sort of look usually seen only when men looked at her.

After learning that Sarah’s orientation was unusual, Natasha spent 0.3 seconds mourning for Evenson, then resolved to avoid contact with this lesbian whenever possible.

After all, as the Black Widow, she was an old hand at flirting with men and coaxing information out of them. But with women… she was an inexperienced newbie, with no intention of getting on that ride. More importantly, she had suffered badly at the hands of a perverted lovesick woman not long ago.

"I really didn’t expect you to be this skilled." Natasha looked at the black whip Sarah was casually holding, the one that had dragged her over.

"There’s a lot more you haven’t seen, sweetheart. But…" Sarah reeled in her whip and pulled Natasha into her arms, whispering in her ear, "It’s rare for us to get a date alone. I don’t like being interrupted."

This time, her hands were fairly well-behaved, merely roaming over Natasha’s slender waist.

Sarah was referring to the action team, who were still stunned. They truly had not expected someone to sneak so silently so close to them. Even less had they expected the legendary Black Widow to fall for the other side’s trick so easily.

But just as they raised their guns, Sarah had swiftly pulled Natasha into her arms. Well, who would dare fire now?

"Relax, relax…" Sarah rested her chin on Natasha’s shoulder and said to the action team, "If you accidentally hurt my darling, I’ll skin you and use your hides to write my diary!"

"You should hurry and go help the captain." Just as the action team found themselves caught between advancing and retreating, Natasha said with a relaxed expression, "It just so happens that I can have a good talk with Miss Sarah here."

In other words: comrades, leave me alone and keep moving! And at this moment, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s internal camaraderie became apparent. Before Natasha had even finished speaking, the action team had already withdrawn.

"No loyalty at all." Sarah pouted. "I thought I could hold them up for a while longer."

Sarah had fully expected those people to at least waste some time with her. She had not expected them to leave so decisively.

"They’re agents, and so am I. The mission always comes first." Natasha thought that was perfectly normal.

"Yeah…" Sarah said with pursed lips. "Just like that auntie. She didn’t stop at all." Sarah meant Melinda. After seeing Natasha get taken away, that woman had merely glanced over and kept going.

"Iron Cavalry isn’t a title she got for nothing. Even I don’t dare provoke her too much." Natasha smiled.

"Yeah… she really is intimidating when she puts on that stern face." Sarah said disdainfully, then narrowed her eyes and licked her lips. "But she’d be pretty tempting pinned beneath someone."

Natasha could not help shuddering at those words. Feeling the movement of the beauty in her arms, Sarah immediately said, "I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that while we’re on a date."

"It’s fine." Natasha suppressed the chill rising in her heart and composed herself. "But why did you hold those people back? Do you enjoy having people watch you date, or…" A sharp glint flashed in Natasha’s eyes. "Does your boss need time?"

By then, Sarah’s hand had already reached Natasha’s collar, and she was considering whether to slip it inside. Though she dearly wanted to, she restrained herself for the sake of their long-term prospects.

"What is your boss doing? Why did he ask you to delay us?" Natasha hesitated, then actually reached a hand behind her and placed it on Sarah’s thigh.

"Oh… that feels wonderful." Sarah let out a sound of enjoyment. "Actually, there’s no harm in telling you. The final stage of the ritual is about to be completed. Once it is, things will change."

"Is that so…" Natasha believed Evenson was preparing some kind of spell. Once it was complete, it would completely change the outcome of this operation.

Looks like I can’t keep wasting time here. Natasha made up her mind. One hand stroked Sarah’s thigh while the other rested on the hand Sarah had wrapped around her. "Do you remember my nickname?"

"Hm?" Sarah was still too absorbed in the beauty in her arms to understand what Natasha meant when her hand suddenly went numb, accompanied by a crackling sound.

A high-voltage shock pad—one of the Black Widow’s commonly used concealed weapons. Natasha had stuck one onto Sarah’s hand. As for why Natasha herself had not been electrocuted? Hmph, because her combat suit was insulated.

Taking advantage of the moment, Natasha twisted free from Sarah’s hold. "Black Widows can sting."

But the concealed weapon, which should have been enough to knock an adult man unconscious, merely numbed Sarah slightly. After all, an elemental shaman’s lightning was far more powerful than that, especially Yang’s.

"Electric shocks? You like that kind of excitement?" Rather than being angered by the sneak attack, Sarah looked thrilled. "But I have something even more exciting."

With a sharp crack, she snapped her whip against the ground. A faint purple glow flashed over her body. Her hair turned black, while her face took on something like smoky makeup—black eyeshadow and purple lips giving her a distinctive beauty. A pair of bat-like wings grew from her back, and her clothes became nearly as revealing as a bikini. Yet beneath her alluring, pale legs were cloven hooves bent in reverse, somehow making her seem petite and adorable.

"Pretty, right?" Sarah pointed at the pair of sleek, glossy horns on her head. "I wax and care for them regularly."

"Oh, they really are quite pretty…" Natasha was deeply shocked by Sarah’s transformation and casually offered a perfunctory reply.

"You think so?" To Natasha’s surprise, Sarah became even more excited. "Looks like we really are made for each other."
