Chapter 297

In an instant, the originally pleasant and sunny "Golden Age" changed. The strongest Demon King, the original Demon King, capable of forming planets with his bare hands, coordinated with the [silver coin] of the [Magician], drew upon the four elemental silver coins, and launched his first attack at Qi Xing.

Endless mud and rock gathered frantically, compressed and carved into a sphere by violent winds. A vast ocean formed on its surface out of thin air, and a scorching core ignited the heartbeat of lava within.

In the blink of an eye, at the fingertips of Simon Magus, a real planet had been crafted and was falling toward Qi Xing!

This was the power of the oldest Demon King. Raising a hand created the world; waving it caused stars to fall. If it were the old Qi Xing, he wouldn't have been able to block this even if he wanted to.

Unfortunately, he had now seen the true light of creation from the source.

The creation made using Sasa's power was, in the end, just a replica of the light from the upper realm.

"I don't intend to waste words,"

So Qi Xing simply raised his left hand, grasping the falling planet from afar.

The planet was caught by an invisible giant hand. The soulless pseudo-humans on the streets looked up in surprise. But they wouldn't feel fear; they probably lacked that function. Because soulless things, even if intelligent, just perform according to an internal script.

"I can tell you know this too."

So Qi Xing looked at these pseudo-humans and continued,

"So as long as you surrender and hand over the [silver coins]—Simon, I will help you find liberation and jump out of this pathetic cage."

After saying this, he crushed the planet Simon had created. The casual expression on his face was like popping a balloon. Even Simon's expression couldn't help but change in shock.

If Simon had acted earlier to interfere with the world, would things have developed into this state?

"It's not too late now. Don't you want to transcend the role you've been fixed into?"

"I can take you to see the real new world."

It was an offer of surrender! But for a figure like [Venerable Leipu], how could Simon endure such a high-handed attitude?

Seeing the changes in his facial expressions and his inner conflict, Qi Xing flicked out a [silver coin], which was the sun representing [Truth].

Before the silver coin could fall, a brilliant light erupted. A giant hand, like a scorching sun, reached out from the void. This hand was so vast, covering countless stars—with one grab, it snatched one of Simon Magus's [silver coins].

Ah, it even grabbed the [Earth] element.

Simon almost vomited blood—could it really be done this way?!

Of course, it could. Now, there was almost nothing Qi Xing couldn't do; only things that were troublesome remained.

Simon's face turned pale, for he realized he had no chance of winning this battle.

Retreat! Just retreat! The [silver coins] hadn't been fully gathered yet; even if Qi Xing was omnipotent, he wasn't yet almighty! If he escaped and hid, there would still be a chance.

So in an instant, he transformed into a million decoys. A million streams of light split from Simon's body, preparing to flee and hide back in the human world.

Samael's divine power was blind and foolish; though omnipotent, it lacked omniscience. If Simon really ran away, he would be hard to catch.

So Qi Xing reached out again. Beams of light passed through the necks of a million Simons. Blood sprayed into the sky, and their heads were removed.

A million headless bodies scattered instantly across the Inner Realm.

Each decoy contained a part of Simon's consciousness and thoughts. Qi Xing grabbed them all, concentrated them into the heads, and held them in his hand. Some were instantly frightened into a stupor, some roared, some begged, and some wanted to resist.

But with a grasp of Qi Xing's palm, all the heads were pulverized.

He wasn't a foolish Sasa; how could he let anyone escape?

This grab also snatched two more of Simon's [silver coins] into Qi Xing's hand.

Only the real Simon remained, standing stiffly in place as if nothing had happened, unable to do anything.

Even if he continued to resist, he would only be pressed to the ground and rubbed like a dog.

"I think I've been quite sincere."

Qi Xing sighed,

"What are you dissatisfied with that makes you insist on becoming new bloodstains on my shoes?"

"I am simply dissatisfied with you, [Descender]."

Knowing there was no hope, Simon Magus gritted his teeth and replied,

"Your plan to save the world by creating a utopia with external force will ultimately be a delusion. Humanity doesn't need a savior on a cross, nor do they need heaven. Humanity has always saved itself and chosen its own path."

"What you said sounds a bit reasonable," Qi Xing said, frowning, "But the result becomes lying flat and rotting, not needing to do anything, not needing to change the status quo—don't you think there's a problem with that conclusion?"

"No matter how reasonable a theory sounds, if the answer is wrong, then there is a problem. Any theory that cannot be applied to real people is empty."

Nonsense. He was definitely right; he was absolutely right.

[Venerable Leipu] might already be the strongest, a figure Simon Magus still found unfathomable and incomprehensible.

But at this moment, what made Simon most unconvinced and anxious was not Qi Xing's power, but his "eyes."

—His eyes at this moment seemed to have no doubt that he was walking on the correct path, and at the end of that path existed a perfect, flawless ending.

This, Simon Magus could not accept no matter what.

Why? Do you represent the will of heaven? Do you represent the will of the people? Where do you get the decision-making power and the right to interpret the future path? This kind of thing can only be left to humanity itself, left to humanity itself, ahhhhh!

"You win, [Third Descender]. But I don't want to see the new era you create."

The oldest Demon King sat down on the spot, and the remaining [silver coins] crumbled out of his body. But his body immediately began to burn fiercely and dissipated rapidly.

"I negate your answer. Your conclusion is definitely not the correct answer…"

After speaking, amidst the murmuring voice, Simon Magus's body turned into a wisp of blue smoke and disappeared completely.

From now on, in the new era and the new world, no one will remember him.

"Silly thing, where is there any correct answer?"

Qi Xing shook his head,

"But do you stop doing everything just because you don't know the answer? You only know right from wrong after doing it."

Humans are creatures that coexist with mistakes.

For Qi Xing, this must be his faith.

As Simon Magus dissipated, the Inner Realm of this "Golden Age" he created also disintegrated.

The [Inner Realm] is located in a dimension deeper than the human material world, between the [Dream of All Living Beings] of all humanity and the material world.

If the [Inner Realm] suddenly collapses, the people and things inside would naturally be thrown into the sea.

A total of twenty-nine [silver coins] circled around Qi Xing, spiraling in the ocean of the [Dream of All Living Beings].

Sasa hadn't seen her divine power fragments reunited for a long, long time. She followed behind Qi Xing, watching, and was momentarily mesmerized.

The two of them were originally immiscible with water. Moreover, Qi Xing had obtained the [Heart of God] and could truly defeat the will of all humanity with the power of one person.

In the deathly silent seawater, only specks of blood light were scattered around them, floating in the silent, deep blue sea of the human collective unconscious.

"Hurry up, Qi Xing, now is the time to flow out of your world and change the universe!"

She couldn't help but jump and say.

But Qi Xing wasn't as anxious or excited as she was.

"Don't rush, Sasa."

Qi Xing just turned his head to look deeper, downward, looking at the place even deeper than the human collective unconscious.

"It's a pity, but we still have one last enemy to defeat."

—What?

Sasa was stunned, and before she could react, she was picked up by Qi Xing and dived toward the deeper depths.

…In this originally dark, silent, deep blue sea of human collective unconscious, it was filled with a terrifying, disgusting white color like rotten milk.

That foul-smelling white formed a vortex, churning and rotating like a bruise in the [Dream of All Living Beings]. The eerie color kept spreading, twisting into horrifying shapes, like crazy faces and tentacles full of mouths. That disgusting, filthy white was almost about to swallow them.

However, with a wave of Qi Xing's hand, all the tentacles were crushed. He held Sasa and continued to swim deeper, diving all the way to a place deeper than the human collective unconscious.

But on the other side of the sea, what did Qi Xing bring Sasa to see this time?

Was it Sasa's dark throne?

Yes, and no.

Because at the end of the world, on the other side of the [Dream of All Living Beings], on the black throne at the very bottom of the universe, sat a queen.

[You who are stained with sin, rise and welcome me.]

A white queen.

[The time has come. The ancient bell rings once more, and a brand new world is coming. Rise, my servant, and sing to welcome my arrival.]

That thing, the pus-white king sitting on the dark throne, bloomed with the most elegant smile,

[I am death, and I am life. I am darkness, and I am light.]

Volume 8: People of Freedom and the Free World: 277: VOX POPULI

—What is going on?

In an instant, Sasa couldn't even figure out the situation.

Why was there a white version of herself sitting on her dark throne?

What was even stranger was that although she was completely confused, Qi Xing beside her looked solemn, ready for battle, as if he had anticipated it long ago.

"Eh?"

Looking at the white self on the throne before her, Sasa was first bewildered.

What is going on?

Could it be that the white pus in the Dream of All Living Beings had finally gained sentience, so it transformed into the master's appearance and sat on her throne in rebellion?

[Are you really that stupid?]

The White Queen sat on the high throne, supporting her chin with one hand and looking down at her. On that cute, beautiful face that was exactly the same as Sasa's, a look of mockery appeared,

[I am you.]

[However, you now probably aren't worthy of being me.]

Wha-wha-what?

Indeed, from this White Queen, Sasa could feel power of the same quality as her own, just like looking at the right hand with the left.

But on the other hand, Sasa's intuition was certain that she was the white pus outside, the gathering of the desires of all living beings.

How is this possible? If she is "me," why is she also "all living beings"?

So there can only be one correct answer.

"Sasa, you once said that the White King in the [Dream of All Living Beings] was condensed from the desires of all living beings."

Qi Xing finally spoke in a low voice,

"But since all living beings are differentiated from your thoughts, since the power of the billions of souls in this universe comes from your soul… then isn't this god born from the desires of all living beings born from your desires?"

"Two thousand years ago, when Jesus on the cross shattered you into pieces, which part of you was this [you] that scattered out?"

"What exactly do the [Peacock Disciples], and the many religions that have worshipped the 'White God' and 'Peacock God' for thousands of years, worship?"

—How did Qi Xing realize this?

Actually, he had already started considering this aspect. Ever since the [King of Hell] said that all living beings in this world originated from Sasa's personality, ever since Elaine explained those religions in history that worshipped the White God, Black God, and Peacock, combined with Sasa's regrettable intelligence… Qi Xing had long begun to suspect this matter.

Because Sasa was too stupid! Even if she didn't deliberately lie, it didn't mean what she said was correct!

So Qi Xing had been thinking all along, who is the White God?

At first glance, it seemed to be Sasa, but many times it didn't seem right. She was the dark creator, the master of the [atheist] world, and even she said so herself.

The Dream of All Living Beings, the Sea of Reincarnation, the collection of human memories and thoughts, the collective unconscious—many people have called it God since ancient times.

Theoretically, it was just a "pseudo-god" gathered from the consciousness of all living beings, certainly not comparable to the true Creator. But… what if all living beings were originally fragments of the Creator's divinity? If you piece together countless broken mirrors, wouldn't the image it reflects be the complete "image"?

…How much difference is there between this pieced-together collective of all living beings and the true Creator?

Especially when the original Creator was a genuine idiot, could that "she," condensed from the wisdom of billions of people, be a higher-level version?

Therefore, at this moment, Qi Xing asked her on the throne once again: "What are you?"

This question amused the White God on the throne,

[What am I? Your question is empty, and I have no need to answer.]
