Chapter 32: Practice
And after the first Electromagnetic Cannon experiment, Godzilla's premonition came true.
The Electromagnetic Cannon not only failed to hit its target, but he almost critically injured himself!
Before the Electromagnetic Cannon could even fire, two projectiles directly shattered three rows of his dorsal fins.
To be honest, it was already a mistake from the beginning for Godzilla to intend to use his dorsal fins as a barrel.
This simply couldn't provide a stable trajectory for the projectiles acting as cannonballs; how could it not go astray?
Unless Godzilla installed two cylindrical cannon barrels on his back, this problem truly couldn't be resolved.
So, was it just stuck here?
If Godzilla's control over the electricity within his body could reach a higher level, he might actually be able to develop the Electromagnetic Cannon, and perhaps even other black-tech weapons would be figured out by Godzilla.
It's foreseeable that these things won't be mastered in the short term.
Therefore, Godzilla thought of his original intention when he first went to Pacific Rim.
Electromagnetic Pulse!
Although, even if Godzilla wasn't in a hurry, he could still master the ability to release an Electromagnetic Pulse after some time of self-study.
But now, after the G-cells evolved, Godzilla naturally mastered the Electromagnetic Pulse.
In addition, because Godzilla's own cells can directly generate electricity, if Godzilla were to release this energy directly, he felt that its power might not be as low as he imagined.
One must know that G-cells themselves are extremely powerful; even if the electrical energy they release is weaker than nuclear energy, how large is Godzilla's body?
With such a massive amount of electricity gathered together, Godzilla felt that if he were connected to a power line, the electricity within him would be enough to power a City for several years.
This doesn't even account for the energy generated when the G-cells generate electricity again.
Then, Various countries' satellites suddenly discovered that in a certain sea area of the Pacific Ocean, it suddenly became stormy with lightning and thunder, and even Electromagnetic Pulse was detected.
This once led Various countries to believe that there was an ancient advanced civilization or an alien spaceship under the Pacific Ocean.
But after a series of confirmations, they had to admit that they were all wrong!
The culprit behind the sudden burst of electrical energy and Electromagnetic Pulse was their old friend—Godzilla!
Without a doubt, Godzilla, he had evolved again!
How long has it been?
After failing to fly, he actually mastered the Electromagnetic Pulse; is Godzilla truly a god?
At this moment, countless people couldn't sleep at night.
And what made them most furious was that their weapons against Godzilla, which had just shown some promise, were directly stifled!
Under the unreasonable Electromagnetic Pulse, no matter how powerful their weapons were, they were useless.
Because they couldn't even fly near Godzilla!
More importantly, this time Godzilla didn't need to specifically use Atomic Breath in a City; he just needed to take a stroll, and human civilization could be sent back to the steam age.
Especially the American Empire, in order to “maintain world peace” and to exclusively obtain Godzilla's corpse.
They had prepared several hydrogen bombs, just waiting for Godzilla to show up.
Although with Atomic Breath, anything flying in the sky would have difficulty approaching Godzilla.
But for such a long time, they also knew that Atomic Breath consumed a lot of energy and could not be used for extended periods.
As long as they used drones to deplete some of his energy first, they could then ensure the hydrogen bombs would be detonated.
But now, this plan was directly stillborn.
Even though they had already locked onto Godzilla's approximate location, they dared not make any rash moves.
It could be said they were extremely frustrated.
Godzilla didn't know that his experiments with electrical discharge and Electromagnetic Pulse were detected by satellites, and even his location was exposed.
But even if he knew, he wouldn't care.
Previously, Godzilla still had some reservations about human weapons. After all, if they went crazy and chased him around the world dropping nuclear bombs, he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't run into problems.
But now—haha.
In a dark, sunless part of the Pacific Ocean.
This place should originally have had no light at all; even the sun could not penetrate the depths of this profound ocean.
But now, a “light source” appeared here!
Constantly flickering lightning illuminated the dark seabed.
And by the flickering lightning, one could see that on this seabed, which should have had little life and seemed devoid of any living creatures.
There was a giant pulsating tumor, hundreds of meters in diameter!
From within this tumor, the sound of a beating heart could also be heard.
Clearly, there was something inside.
And as the source of those lightning bolts, Godzilla was experimenting with his newly acquired abilities in a place where the lightning wouldn't affect the tumor.
Electrical discharge and Electromagnetic Pulse.
There's not much to say about the Electromagnetic Pulse; Godzilla gathered energy in his claws, then clapped his claws together, and a visible arc of electricity was released by Godzilla.
The arc spread outwards, even extending tens of kilometers.
Godzilla felt this was not the limit; if more energy was provided and accumulated for a longer time, this range could be doubled!
And Godzilla's action of clapping his claws together, to be honest, was also for show; even without any specific claw movement, it could be activated at any time according to Godzilla's will.
It doesn't matter if the power is a bit weaker, but the key is that the movement must be cool!
Compared to the Electromagnetic Pulse, which can be released simply, electrical discharge offered more operational possibilities.
Currently, Godzilla could only release electrical energy, but once released, he had no way to control it.
Although Godzilla had thought of many methods.
For example, releasing current from his mouth, claws, tail, and dorsal fins.
Although it was successful, the situation remained unchanged; once it left Godzilla's body, it uncontrollably scattered.
This made Godzilla very confused; how did that Kaiju control the electric current to attack him?
Could it be some special control technique?
Crackling ~ Crackling ~
The sound of electric arcs constantly echoed in Godzilla's ears. Supplied by the Fusion Reactor in his body, Godzilla possessed almost infinite energy, allowing him to experiment with his abilities without restraint.
Even though Godzilla had been releasing high-intensity currents for several hours, he still didn't feel tired, and the energy in his body hadn't been depleted much.
But the gains were minimal.
While Godzilla was practicing electrical discharge, the high-intensity current even affected the nearby tumor.
But when those electric arcs landed on the tumor's surface, they did not penetrate; they were blocked by this seemingly defenseless fleshy wall.
However, this tumor was not entirely unaffected.
As the electric arcs danced on the tumor's surface, the heartbeat inside the tumor lost its previous regularity; it seemed—to be in fear.
