Chapter 31: G-cell Evolution
Godzilla, returning to his own world, willingly fell into a long slumber.
He needed enough time to organize the Kaiju genes within his body.
Godzilla wasn't sure if he would gain anything from all this effort over such a long period.
This was because the special abilities of the Kaiju, as well as the 'Flesh Factory's' ability to open a wormhole, were all developed by the Precursors through various means.
His current situation was like having the materials to build an aircraft carrier, but without knowing the blueprints, he was completely in the dark, knowing nothing.
What Godzilla didn't expect was that his G-cells were even more formidable than he had imagined!
After organizing them, Godzilla discovered that the Kaiju's genes and the 'Flesh Factory's' genes were practically identical, as if cast from the same mold.
And the 'weapons' Godzilla had specifically devoured were nowhere to be found.
Even the Electromagnetic Cannon, which Godzilla was very interested in, showed no trace.
But just then, an unexpected surprise appeared.
His Spacetime Power, which had always been dormant unless he actively activated it, suddenly became active!
Then, the G-cells, which had evolved again after devouring the Kaiju's genes, also became active.
Unbeknownst to anyone, changes were occurring within Godzilla's body.
Or rather, evolution!
Initially, an evolution had already occurred when the G-cells devoured the genes of the Alien Progenitor.
And now, after Godzilla once again devoured the Kaiju, which the Precursors were so proud of, another evolution occurred.
Although ordinary Kaiju were no match for Godzilla, they weren't even on the same level.
However, the Kaiju themselves, as mature biological weapons, possessed extremely high plasticity.
And the Precursor civilization was unimaginably ancient.
Humans had known of it for tens of millions of years.
While still a bit short compared to ancient Creatures like Godzilla.
But after tens of millions of years, the Kaiju had not been eliminated; in fact, under the Precursors' research, they had become even more terrifying.
Although the Kaiju themselves carried a 'lock' that prevented other civilizations from replicating or controlling their genes.
This 'lock,' however, was as if it didn't exist in front of Godzilla.
Therefore, with the beginning of fusion and evolution, Godzilla entered a similar scene to what he had seen the last time he devoured the 'black water' that served as the 'blood' of the Alien Progenitor.
Godzilla saw a colossal 'Flesh Factory,' sprawling across an entire continent, its immense size unknown, writhing on the land.
And within the 'Flesh Factory,' a ferocious Kaiju roared at Godzilla.
Just by its height, this Kaiju had already reached a thousand meters, with every part of its body exuding a dangerous aura.
Even though a thousand meters was already astonishing, it was as tiny as an ant compared to this 'Flesh Factory' that spread across an entire continent.
Yet, such an 'ant' consumed nearly ninety percent of the 'Flesh Factory's' energy!
And this was the strongest Kaiju possessed by the Precursors, and also their original Kaiju!
All other Kaiju were, strictly speaking, its replicas!
And this Kaiju itself possessed the power to suppress an entire galaxy.
Moreover, it possessed the ability to open a wormhole.
It was not just a weapon, but a fortress!
Alas, no matter how terrifying this Kaiju was, it was merely an illusion, gradually dissipating under the G-cells' devouring!
It was also fortunate that Godzilla had already returned to his own world; if he were still in the original world, the G-cells devouring the Kaiju's genes would surely have been detected by this Kaiju, and Godzilla would have been forced to fight it!
To be honest, Godzilla felt he was at best a four-six split with this Kaiju.
Godzilla four, it six.
Of course, if it came to a fight, Godzilla still had the confidence to perish with it.
Who told Godzilla he had a Fusion Reactor inside him?
As the Kaiju's illusion disappeared, the G-cells quickly completely devoured the Kaiju's genes.
Then, Godzilla felt the changes brought by this evolution of the G-cells.
First and foremost, Godzilla felt that his utilization of energy had advanced to a higher level.
Kaiju, unlike Godzilla, did not have a Fusion Reactor providing a continuous supply of energy.
Therefore, to maintain their massive size, Kaiju possessed an extremely advanced digestive system.
Not only that, but every cell of a Kaiju could be seen as a small battery, capable of storing vast amounts of energy.
This was also why those Kaiju could remain active for long periods and could easily use the powerful Electromagnetic Cannon multiple times.
Applied to Godzilla, he felt that his Atomic Breath had become even more powerful!
As for its duration, Godzilla didn't notice any change.
Because the duration of the Atomic Breath was directly related to the Fusion Reactor.
Although the duration hadn't increased much, that was only temporary.
As time passed and Godzilla's body grew larger, coupled with the increased size of the Fusion Reactor, both its power and duration would significantly increase.
In addition, the G-cells had another ability that greatly surprised Godzilla.
That was the ability to convert nuclear energy into electrical energy!
In other words, Godzilla's G-cells could now discharge electricity!
So, Godzilla, in one go, directly modified his dorsal fins.
He changed the three dorsal fins on his back from their original coral shape into three rows of 'blade mountains' that gleamed coldly and pierced the sky.
More precisely, rather than 'blades,' they resembled rows of oddly shaped 'axe blades.'
Their sharpness and solidity were enough to cut through anything!
But compared to the transformation from decorative coral to sharp weapons, another ability made Godzilla even more expectant.
That was the Electromagnetic Cannon!
After knowing that his cells could discharge electricity, this was the first thing Godzilla thought of.
A low-level Kaiju could make his head ring with an Electromagnetic Cannon, so when applied to him, it would definitely be an even more terrifying super-weapon!
Godzilla's dorsal fins were a special metal that proliferated within his body, capable of better accumulating and amplifying electrical energy.
And in the lower middle part of those three rows of dorsal fins, Godzilla specifically proliferated two metal projectiles, lodged there.
Although Godzilla had managed to create the Electromagnetic Cannon.
His previous test flight had left him with a bad psychological shadow, giving him a premonition that this attempt would also fail.
But this time was different from the last.
Flying wasn't that important to Godzilla.
And a powerful Electromagnetic Cannon was worth Godzilla's persistent efforts to modify it multiple times.
