Chapter 375: Shop

"Greetings, sir. I am a steward of the Yang Family, one of the Five Great Families of Yan City. Our young master would like to invite you to our estate for tea. Would that be convenient for you?" A slightly chubby Middle-aged Man, seeing Qin Ming, beamed with joy and immediately ran over to say this.

"The Yang Family of the Five Great Families?" Qin Ming glanced at the Middle-aged Man and declined, "I have to perform Alchemy later, so I don't have time to go."

"Our Yang Family is filled with the utmost enthusiasm and awaits your presence at any time." Although the Middle-aged Man felt regret in his heart, he still wore a sincere smile on his face.

Qin Ming nodded.

The Middle-aged Man left helplessly.

"You are welcome to visit again," the attendant said respectfully when she saw Qin Ming leaving.

"By the way, do you know where I can buy a Shop?" Qin Ming asked suddenly. He was completely unfamiliar with Yan City, and perhaps this attendant knew where Shops were sold.

The attendant asked, "Sir, what kind of Shop do you wish to open?"

"A Pill Shop," Qin Ming replied.

"Then you should go to Pill Fire Street. There are many Shops for rent there," the attendant said.

"Rent?" Qin Ming shook his head. "I want to buy one directly; I don't want to rent."

The attendant smiled and said, "Sir, there are no Shops for sale in all of Yan City. Selling Shops is not allowed here; they can only be rented."

"Oh?" Qin Ming nodded. "Then I will go to Pill Fire Street to take a look first."

…

Since he couldn't buy one, Qin Ming had to settle for second best and came to Pill Fire Street to take a look.

After asking a few people, Qin Ming finally found the place responsible for renting out Shops.

"Hello, do you need to look at a Shop?" Before Qin Ming could walk in, a youth stopped him and asked.

Qin Ming glanced at the youth and nodded, "That's right."

The youth was about sixteen years old and covered in dirt, but his eyes were bright.

Hearing Qin Ming's words, the youth's face lit up with joy, and he said, "I know of a Pill Shop that is very cheap. You can go take a look."

"Oh?" Qin Ming asked in confusion. "Why isn't the Shop being traded at the designated place, but rather privately?"

Based on what he understood, all Shop rentals or subleases on this entire street were handled here.

The youth said with difficulty, "Actually, the Shop belonged to my grandfather. He passed away suddenly before he could transfer it to me, so I had no choice but to wait here to see if anyone wanted my family's Shop."

Qin Ming wore a look of understanding.

Shop transfers required the owner to handle them in person, and since this youth's grandfather had passed away, it was obviously impossible to process the transfer paperwork.

"Take me to see it," Qin Ming said with a smile.

"Okay, follow me." The youth became happy and led the way. He had already asked many people, but as soon as they heard him say the Shop couldn't be transferred, they immediately turned and left. This was the first person who was willing to take a look even after hearing it couldn't be transferred.

Soon, Qin Ming arrived in front of a Shop.

The youth wore an embarrassed expression as he said, "Because this Shop hasn't been operated for a long time and I haven't had time to take care of it, it's so dilapidated. As long as it undergoes a simple renovation, it will…"

"Open it up and let me see," Qin Ming said.

"Okay." Seeing that Qin Ming didn't dislike the Shop because of its dilapidated state, the youth immediately and happily opened the Shop.

Qin Ming walked inside. The area of the Shop was decent. Continuing inside, there was a small courtyard and several rooms. He nodded in satisfaction.

"There is also a Warehouse here," the youth said, pointing to a spot.
