Chapter 4 Fabrics? Give me the best
"Pay it early!"
Chen Mo looked at Tang Qiu with an idiotic gaze; how could she ask such a simple question?
However, the system only allowed him to pay one month in advance. Otherwise, if he paid several months in advance, wouldn't he instantly spend all the remaining system funds?
Tang Qiu looked stunned. She had heard of delayed wages but never of advance payments.
Before she could say anything more, a knock on the door sounded, and then Wei Yan walked in.
He surveyed the office and slowly spoke.
"The employees are all ready. Should we pay them now?"
"Hmm, let's start with you."
Liu Cheng glanced at Wei Yan and spoke indifferently. At this point, he had no room for regret.
He could only pick up the calculator and calculate Liu Cheng's salary for the previous month.
"Including base salary and performance, it's a total of 7,870. Check if there's any mistake."
"No mistake."
Wei Yan nodded without hesitation, confirming that this salary was roughly what he had calculated himself.
However, he was very dissatisfied with this salary. With his ability, it was impossible for him to have such little performance. The main reason was that Liu Cheng, to save money this year, replaced the already not-so-good fabric with an even worse one. This led to some of his old clients stopping their orders.
This caused his performance to plummet. He had mentioned this reason before, but Liu Cheng didn't care at all, believing that poor performance was entirely the fault of their salespeople.
Originally, the company had three salespeople. The other two had already resigned because of this issue, and only he had persevered until now.
He hoped the new boss would switch back to good fabric; otherwise, he would have to look for another job.
Thinking this, he had already stood up to leave but was called back.
"Wait a moment."
He looked at Chen Mo, who was waving at him, not knowing why the new boss was calling him, but he obediently walked over.
He softly greeted him.
"Hello, CEO Chen!"
"Sit."
Chen Mo smiled and pointed to the chair in front of the square table.
Wei Yan sat down doubtfully, watching Chen Mo open his payslip.
Soon, he saw the new boss put down the payslip and speak.
"Your current base salary is 3,000. Next month, I'll raise it to 4,000, and your performance commission will also be increased by one point from now on."
Wei Yan's mouth dropped open in shock upon hearing this. Just as he was about to say a few words of thanks, he felt his phone vibrate. He glanced at it and found that an inexplicable transfer record of 4,000 had appeared in his salary card.
Connecting it to the new boss's recent words, could it be…?
That's not right.
Next month hasn't even started yet, so why is the salary already transferred?
But soon, he heard the explanation.
"This 4,000 is just the base salary. I can only transfer this much to you for now. Performance bonuses can only be calculated after one month."
"But CEO Chen, next month hasn't even started yet!"
"Oh, considering that everyone might be unsettled by the change of boss, salaries will be paid in advance from now on. It's just that your performance can't be calculated in advance, so we'll have to wait until the end of the month."
Chen Mo said with a disappointed look. He had originally wanted to pay more performance-based salary in advance, but the system judged it as a violation, so he had to give up.
What a pity!
However, the subsequent payments are all fixed salaries, plus a certain increase, which should be able to spend a large portion of the system funds.
"Don't worry, CEO Chen, I will definitely work hard."
Wei Yan's spirits lifted instantly upon hearing Chen Mo's words.
The apprehension he had felt about the new boss vanished without a trace at that moment.
A boss with such a grand vision should not use inferior fabrics to save money.
"Hmm!"
"Go notify the next person to come in for payment."
Wei Yan stood up and left upon hearing this, going to notify the person waiting in line to come in for payment.
Next,
A strange scene unfolded in the office.
After employees received their wages from Liu Cheng, they would then go to Chen Mo to receive their next month's salary, and all of them received a raise.
Every employee walked out of the office in a state of bewilderment and delight.
Since the office itself wasn't large, all of Chen Mo's words about paying and raising salaries reached Liu Cheng's ears.
Liu Cheng felt humiliated, but the way he was being humiliated, by burning money, left him helpless.
Tang Qiu, on the other hand, was much calmer about it. After a day of interaction, she came to a conclusion.
This Chen Mo was a rich second generation; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to treat money so casually.
Time passed, and soon the last employee's salary had been paid.
Chen Mo leaned back in his chair, feeling a bit tired, and looked at the system funds on the system panel, feeling speechless.
He hadn't expected this company to have fewer than twenty employees. Rather than a company, it was more like a small processing factory. Even with the raises, he had only spent a little over 100,000 in system funds.
At this point, 423,700 system funds remained. He still needed to keep working hard!
"CEO Chen, I have some other matters to attend to, so I won't accompany you for now. If you have anything, you can talk to Wei Yan; he knows the company very well."
Liu Cheng had walked over at some point and spoke in a deep voice.
After the salary payments, he didn't dare to stay here any longer. Otherwise, who knew if there would be other expenses later? It was better to leave first.
"Hmm, I won't see you out."
Chen Mo didn't stop him. After Liu Cheng left, he called Wei Yan over.
"CEO Chen, you're looking for me?"
Wei Yan's office wasn't far from the boss's office, so he arrived quickly.
"Hmm, yes, there are some things. I've just taken over the company and don't know it very well. Tell me, where does the company urgently need money right now?"
Chen Mo looked at the arriving Wei Yan, organized his words, and asked.
Wei Yan's eyes lit up upon hearing this. He had been considering when to talk to the new boss about the fabric issue, but he hadn't expected the new boss to ask about it first.
Although he didn't explicitly mention the fabric issue, the most urgent need for money in the company right now was indeed related to fabric.
Indeed, one shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
This new boss looked young, yet he handled matters with such shrewdness.
Thinking this, he spoke truthfully.
"CEO Chen, the company currently urgently needs a batch of better fabric."
"Tell me, how much money is needed?"
"If we use the previous kind and restock a batch of fabric, it would probably cost around 80,000."
Wei Yan pondered for a moment and said. In fact, the previous fabric wasn't very good, but it was perfectly acceptable to customers.
"Only 80,000?"
Chen Mo frowned and spoke. He still had over 300,000 in system funds remaining, and 80,000 was far from enough.
"CEO Chen, if we switch to even better fabric, the cost will definitely be much higher, but then the profit might be significantly reduced."
Wei Yan spoke slowly. This was a problem every boss faced, but almost all the bosses he knew chose greater profit and sacrificed product quality.
"How much would it cost if we switched to high-grade fabric?"
Chen Mo didn't really care about profit at all. He didn't want to make money from the company.
Compared to making money by operating the company, converting system funds was much simpler.
He just needed to spend money.
So, the higher the expenditure, the better.
