Chapter 4: Mirror Sect’s Handiwork (Part 1)

Lin Fan and Su Wanqing walked into the main hall together; the atmosphere inside was solemn and grave.

Great Elder Situ Qian sat on the high seat, his expression majestic, with two familiar figures standing beside him.

Lin Fan's gaze narrowed slightly as he recognized them as Left Sword Envoy Yun Che and Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo from the Yunyin Sword Sect.

Their expressions were cold and stern, but their entire demeanor exuded a heavy aura, as if something extremely serious had happened.

Lin Fan dared not show any negligence and respectfully bowed to Great Elder Situ Qian: "Junior Lin Fan greets the Grand Elder and the two Seniors."

Su Wanqing also bowed slightly, her demeanor dignified.

Great Elder Situ Qian raised his hand in a gesture to signal them not to be overly formal, then spoke slowly, his tone carrying a hint of heaviness:

"Fan'er, Su Wanqing, there is no need for such formalities. I summoned you here because the winds of the world have changed, and the situation is becoming increasingly complex."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over Left Sword Envoy Yun Che and Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo, and continued:

"Three years ago, the world was still stable.

However, in just three short years, Sovereign Jue—the Sect Master of the Nether Ghost Realm—has completed his grand plan.

He has completely annexed the Yunyin Sword Sect of the Eastern Domain, and these two are the last remaining hope of the Yunyin Sword Sect."

Upon hearing this, Lin Fan's pupils constricted, and he couldn't help but look at Left Sword Envoy Yun Che and Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo.

The pain and resentment on their faces silently proved that Great Elder Situ Qian's words were true.

Left Sword Envoy Yun Che stared at Lin Fan; this face was exactly the same as the Lin Fan who had snatched Meng Li and dueled him back then, but this was the Young Lord of the Tianji Pavilion.

He shook his head. It must be a case of mistaken identity; how could the Young Lord of the Tianji Pavilion be that scoundrel? Besides, that scoundrel had already had his heart pierced by him and was dead beyond a doubt.

Left Sword Envoy Yun Che quickly adjusted his emotions and said in a low voice: "Sovereign Jue's ambition is more terrifying than we imagined. Not only did he annex the Yunyin Sword Sect, but he has also brought the entire Eastern Domain under his control.

We of the Yunyin Sword Sect resisted with all our might, but in the end, we were no match. The Sect was destroyed, and Senior Brother Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo and I only escaped with our lives by a hair's breadth."

Upon hearing this, Su Wanqing covered her mouth and gasped softly, a trace of unbearable pity appearing in her eyes.

Lin Fan's acting was on point; he secretly clenched his fists, a surge of anger igniting in his heart. He asked in a deep voice:

"Is there no one who can stop Sovereign Jue's expansion?"

Great Elder Situ Qian shook his head, his tone filled with helplessness and worry:

"Stopping him is not easy. However, what is even more worrying is that a new force has suddenly risen within the Canglan Immortal Domain, known as the 'Mirror Sect'.

This Sect is said to have been propped up by Sovereign Jue. On the surface, it manages the Eastern Domain on behalf of the Nether Ghost Realm, but in reality, it has its own agenda."

He stood up slowly, his brows furrowed: "The terrifying aspect of the Mirror Sect is that they have mastered an extremely evil secret technique that can completely rewrite a person's will and spirit, turning them into a Puppet with no power to resist.

This is not just a matter of cultivation level, but a fundamental destruction of a person's Soul and will."

Su Wanqing trembled all over upon hearing this, instinctively gripping Lin Fan's hand, and asked in a low voice: "Then what should we do? If they are truly so evil, won't everyone fall into danger?"

Left Sword Envoy Yun Che snorted coldly, his gaze as sharp as a knife: "We cannot sit idly by and wait for death. Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo and I risked our lives to come here this time, hoping to join forces with the Tianji Pavilion to fight against the evil power of Sovereign Jue and the Mirror Sect."

Great Elder Situ Qian looked at Lin Fan with a steady gaze and said slowly: "Lin Fan, I summoned you this time not only because of your special status in the Tianji Pavilion, but also because of the heavenly dao divine weapon in your hands.

This divine weapon may be the key to breaking the Mirror Sect's evil arts. And you, as its wielder, cannot shirk your destiny."

Lin Fan heard this, and his acting continued to soar as he said resolutely: "Grand Elder, please rest assured! Whether it is Sovereign Jue or the Mirror Sect, I, Lin Fan, will not let them continue to do evil.

If this is my mission, I will certainly do my utmost."

Seeing Lin Fan's upright performance, Left Sword Envoy Yun Che felt reassured. This was definitely a case of mistaken identity and a shared name; how could someone with such a sense of justice be that scoundrel?

After walking out of the main hall, Lin Fan looked up at the distant mountains of the Tianji Pavilion. A breeze brushed against his robes; his expression was calm, yet he felt a faint sense of pressure.

This mission was not as simple as just investigating the Mirror Sect. Lin Fan understood in his heart that this was very likely a game of chess:

Sovereign Jue's forces were, to a certain extent, his own, but this Mirror Sect was a bit strange.

Could it be the Black Obsidian Organization? Had the poisonous hands of the Mirror Venerable already reached here?

Just as Lin Fan was pondering, Su Wanqing interrupted his thoughts.

"Fan, this Mirror Sect is so evil. If you really encounter danger, how do you intend to deal with it?"

Lin Fan smiled slightly and looked back at her: "Rest assured, with me here, I will never let any danger get close to us."

As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of footsteps came from behind.

Looking back, he saw Princess Hu Qinlan, Yin Miaoxue, and Princess Jin Xuan walking side by side, following them closely.

Princess Hu Qinlan held a jade-green flute and said with a smile: "Young Master, since you are going to execute a mission, we naturally must accompany you."

Yin Miaoxue and Princess Jin Xuan beside her also looked at Lin Fan with smiles in their eyes.

The meaning was very clear: the three of them were together, and they all wanted to go along.

Lin Fan was momentarily speechless, looking at these beautiful women: "If you all follow, won't the mission be even more dangerous?"

Princess Hu Qinlan smiled charmingly, her expression firm: "What if it is dangerous? We are not afraid. Besides, everyone working together is better than you dealing with it alone."

Left Sword Envoy Yun Che and Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo stood to the side, listening to their conversation, a flash of complex emotion crossing their faces.

These three? Aren't they the three little followers of Bai Fan from the Xuanyin Qin Sect? Why are they following Lin Fan now?

Right Sword Envoy Qi Mo whispered to Left Sword Envoy Yun Che: "This Lin Fan is really impressive; he even managed to take in that Bai Fan's followers."

Left Sword Envoy Yun Che sighed: "Not only is his strength great, but more importantly, he has the charisma to make people trust him. Our journey with him this time might just be an Opportunity."

Lin Fan's keen perception had already heard their conversation, and he secretly covered his mouth and chuckled. What would happen if you two knew the truth?

Lin Fan cleared his throat and said in an upright tone to mask the amusement in his heart.

"Since that is the case, then let us go together. However, everyone must be careful; the Mirror Sect's evil arts are bizarre and unpredictable, and any negligence could lead to disaster."

The group tidied up for a moment and then set off in the direction of the Mirror Sect's stronghold.

Although the mission was full of unknowns, in each of their hearts, a sense of unyielding Battle Intent and conviction ignited.

Passing through the towering white walls, the group stepped onto the familiar land of the Canglan Immortal Domain.

They flew through the air, traveling across countless territories, and several days later, they successfully arrived at the Eastern Domain.

In the mountains and forests ahead, dark clouds gathered, and from the distance, a low, wailing sound seemed to faintly drift over; that was the direction of the Mirror Sect's stronghold.

Lin Fan looked back at the group behind him, his gaze firm, and said in a low voice: "We have arrived. From here on, proceed with caution!"
