Chapter 568: Little Abuse and Pleasure 7

Seeing her handiwork, Su Luo nodded with satisfaction.

Outside the kitchen, Steward Xu and the others hadn't gone far; they were all nervously guarding the door, pricking up their ears to listen to what was happening inside, afraid that their future Princess Consort might make even the slightest mistake.

"Prince… what is Miss Su doing?" Chef A craned his neck and stood on tiptoes to peek inside.

"Cooking for His Highness himself," Chef B guessed correctly.

"But can she even cook? It's not that I'm saying anything, but our Highness is the pickiest eater. He doesn't eat any chicken, duck, fish, or meat, and he won't even look at seasonal vegetables. We few are considered the most skilled among the imperial chefs, yet His Highness is still not very satisfied. The things Miss Su makes…"

…can they even be eaten? Chef C expressed deep skepticism about the outcome.

Chef D was the most indignant: "How would these noble young ladies know how to cook? Whatever they make definitely won't be edible."

Steward Xu glared at them, his brows furrowed in cold disapproval, and sternly warned, "If you don't want to die, shut up."

His Highness Prince Jin had said that if this Miss Su was even slightly unhappy, even if she just frowned a little, they would all have to jump into the moat automatically.

Therefore, everyone's attitude towards the future Princess Consort had to be like stars surrounding the moon; they couldn't let the future Princess Consort suffer even the slightest bit of injustice.

As soon as Steward Xu spoke, silence fell instantly, so quiet that the sound of wind blowing fallen leaves was clearly audible.

Didn't His Highness Prince Jin not associate with women? This time was truly unprecedentedly grand.

Just then, a gasp of surprise erupted from among the chefs.

"Huh, what is this smell? It's so fragrant!" Chef A sniffed, walking forward step by step, his eyes filled with fascination.

"It seems to be coming from the kitchen," Chef B said, surprised, staring at the tightly closed door.

"Could it be Miss Su…" Chef C found it hard to believe.

"This is impossible!" Chef D's eyes widened, looking completely incredulous.

"Creak—" With a sound, the tightly closed kitchen door was quietly opened.

Su Luo carried the food box and walked out, her eyes straight ahead.

An unprecedented aroma permeated the entire world, spreading and whetting people's appetites.

"Oh my god, this smell is too fragrant…"

"Oh my god, just smelling this scent makes me feel so happy I could faint…"

"Is this really a dish made by the future Princess Consort? If it is, do we still have a future?" The dishes made by the Princess Consort herself were many times better than those made by professional imperial chefs like them!

Everyone sighed repeatedly, feeling uneasy.

The rich aroma lingered in the air for a long time, not dissipating.

This scent was truly too tempting, making people's mouths water and causing them to swallow with difficulty, giving them an urge to rush forward and snatch the food box.

They had been chefs for most of their lives, yet they had never cooked up such a fragrance.

And they vaguely felt that no matter how many spices they added, they couldn't cook up this kind of fresh and rich aroma.

"How on earth was this done? It's clearly not because of adding spices, it's truly impossible to figure out."

"I really want to taste a bite, just one bite would be great… Wuwuwu… When the bowls and plates are brought out later, no one is allowed to snatch them from me!"

"If I could have a taste, I would die content immediately," the oldest chef, Chef A, sighed with emotion.

Steward Xu glanced at the group of chefs who had originally held no hope for Su Luo.
