Chapter 69: Has Production Efficiency Increased?

Leaving Cangxue Games, Chen Mo got into the business van.

"Brother Yang, is there any news regarding the driver?"

"General Manager Chen, I tried calling him last night, but I couldn't get through."

"I plan to go to his house to check on him after work today."

Yang Dahai said somewhat embarrassedly.

"How about this: I don't have any need for the car this afternoon. After you drop me off at the Garment factory, just take the company car and go see your friend to find out what he's thinking."

"Alright, General Manager Chen."

Yang Dahai nodded.

Upon returning to the Garment factory, he first went to the workshop and the cafeteria to announce the sports event to be held in a month.

Chen Mo then returned to his office and began to calculate the approximate amount of System Funds that could be spent over the next two days.

The 800,000 in charitable funds had already been spent. Today's visit to Cangxue Games had an unexpected harvest: renting a new office space and equipping it with some office facilities.

At least two million, or even more, could be spent at Cangxue Games.

Not bad.

At this rate, the 8 million in System Funds would soon be spent.

Chen Mo leaned back in his chair, feeling relaxed. He reached out to pick up his water cup to take a sip, only to discover when it reached his lips that the cup was empty.

He then remembered that Shen Rou had gone to the orphanage today to inspect the buses.

He smiled helplessly, had no choice but to stand up and go to the water dispenser to pour a cup of water, and took a sip.

He had only just sat down when the office door was lightly knocked on.

"Come in!"

The office door was gently opened, and Jiang Cheng walked in cautiously.

He came to the desk, bowed slightly, and said hello.

"Hello, General Manager Chen."

"Sit down. Is there something you need?"

Chen Mo pointed to the chair in front of the desk and asked.

He had some impression of the person before him; he was an employee of the Garment factory who rarely spoke and was an honest man.

"General Manager Chen, I just want to request something."

Jiang Cheng slowly pulled the chair out a little and sat on only half of it.

"What is it?"

Chen Mo looked at Jiang Cheng with curiosity.

"The cafeteria is finished now, right? I heard it needs to hire a few cleaners. I was wondering if my wife could come over to do this job. I don't know if that's possible."

"General Manager Chen, please rest assured, my wife is very hardworking. She keeps our house and yard very clean."

"We don't need much pay, two thousand is enough. It's just that when the employee dormitories are ready, we would like a couple's room."

Jiang Cheng finished saying everything in one breath, then looked at General Manager Chen with an expectant expression.

He had wanted to talk to General Manager Chen about this since he returned from his day off on Sunday, but he had been hesitating.

Just yesterday, the company cafeteria was suddenly completed, and he became anxious, worrying that if he spoke too late, the cleaning positions would be gone.

Upon hearing this, Chen Mo breathed a sigh of relief. He had thought it was some major issue.

However, for Jiang Cheng, this could be considered a major matter.

"Wait a moment, let me ask Human Resources."

He had already handed over the hiring of ordinary employees to the company's Human Resources department, so he didn't know if the cafeteria cleaner positions were filled.

But even if they were full, he could arrange for her to be placed elsewhere.

Whether it's workshop cleaning or future dormitory cleaning, arranging a job is simple.

After a while, Chen Mo hung up the phone with a wry expression.

He hadn't expected that the company hadn't managed to hire a single cleaner yet. The reason given by HR was that the factory's location was too remote, and the middle-aged aunties who interviewed for the cleaning positions found it very inconvenient to commute.

Those few who were willing to come hesitated when they heard the cafeteria wasn't finished, saying they would wait until it was completed before considering it.

"No problem. I've already spoken to HR. You can contact them regarding when she can start."

"As for the salary, we can offer 4,000. As for other benefits, they are the same for all employees."

Chen Mo looked up at Jiang Cheng and said slowly.

"Thank you, General Manager Chen."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Cheng hurriedly stood up and bowed to express his gratitude.

He hadn't expected General Manager Chen to agree so easily, and to offer a salary of 4,000.

You have to know, he had researched the salaries for cleaners elsewhere, and it was basically around two thousand yuan.

General Manager Chen had actually offered 4,000, and she would enjoy the same benefits as other employees.

If you calculated it carefully, it was more than just 4,000.

"No need to be polite. The benefits for cleaners are standardized."

"How have you been feeling in the workshop lately? Is there anything you're dissatisfied with?"

Chen Mo gestured for Jiang Cheng, who had stood up, to sit back down and asked casually.

"General Manager Chen, the working environment in the workshop is much better now. Plus, under Director Li's leadership, everyone is very motivated to work."

"The workload that originally took seven days can now be completed by everyone in just over three days."

Hearing General Manager Chen ask about work, Jiang Cheng seemed much more excited.

"Hmm!" Chen Mo let out a soft exclamation, feeling that something was wrong.

He wasn't even requiring overtime, so how had work efficiency increased by nearly double?

"Tell me, what exactly is going on?"

"Director Li organized a competition. He divided the workshop employees into two groups. Every week, he tallies the workload of both groups, and the group with the lower workload has to treat the group with the higher workload to a meal."

"Originally, everyone's enthusiasm for work was already very high, and with this little competition, everyone has been working even harder."

"…"

Jiang Cheng continued explaining earnestly.

Upon hearing this, Chen Mo's mouth twitched. He had thought Li Shen had settled down, but he hadn't expected him to be waiting here.

He had heard yesterday that Wu Yu in the Business Department had already started receiving orders from clients.

He didn't know what was going on with those interns. They hadn't been on the job for long, and they even had weekends off, so how had they received orders so quickly?

Now, with the production efficiency at the factory increasing by double, it meant that income would also increase by double.

Sure enough, this sly fox, whenever he wasn't paying attention, would cause trouble for him.

"Work efficiency is certainly important, but there's no need for you all to work so hard. Rest occasionally and pay attention to your physical health."

What is wrong with these people? Can't they just have the same work attitude as before? Isn't slacking off better?

Jiang Cheng was even more moved upon hearing Chen Mo's words.

"General Manager Chen, don't worry, we're fine. To be honest, we do feel a bit tired while working, but our factory has short working hours and doesn't require overtime."

"So even if we are a bit tired at the time, we recover after resting once we get off work."

"It's not like other factories where you are exhausted during the day and still have to work overtime at night. Over time, everyone loses their enthusiasm for work, living every day in a daze, just working for that little bit of salary."

"But it's different here with you, General Manager Chen. We have something to look forward to in our hearts, thinking about where to go have fun or hang out after work."

"Yesterday, when the cafeteria was completed, everyone went to the recreation room. Those massage chairs are just too comfortable. Sitting on them for a massage for a while, a day's fatigue instantly dissipated by more than half."

"So, working for you, General Manager Chen, even if it's a bit tiring, we are willing."
