Chapter 79: Black Obsidian Embers (Part 2)

Lin Fan nodded gently, activated Void Evasion, and transformed into a stream of light, shooting straight into the depths of the rift.

As he continued to descend, the surrounding rock walls became pitch-black and smooth, clearly showing signs of human intervention.

Lin Fan's intuition told him that an unknown secret was hidden here.

Finally, he landed at the bottom of the rift and discovered a massive alloy door.

Engraved on the door were complex runes and the emblem of the Black Obsidian Organization, emanating a chilling aura.

"As expected, it's here."

Lin Fan let out a cold snort, gripped the heavenly dao divine weapon in his right hand, and with a gentle flick, the spear's image pierced directly through the heavy alloy door, shattering it into fragments.

After walking through the door, he found a massive underground base.

The surrounding area was filled with high-tech facilities, and countless data screens floated on the walls, flickering with complex numbers and coordinates.

In the center was a massive quantum energy device, emitting a dazzling blue light.

Xiao Du's voice echoed in Lin Fan's mind: "This device seems to be one of the interference sources for the Heavenly Mechanism Array; it must be destroyed."

Just as Lin Fan was about to approach the device, the surrounding light screens suddenly lit up in unison, and a virtual projection slowly appeared.

This time, it was a female figure clad in black armor, with a long black cloak trailing behind her, her gaze cold and tinged with a hint of mockery.

"Lin Fan!" the black-armored woman spoke, her voice low and indifferent. "You've killed so many of our people and destroyed so many strongholds—do you really think you can wipe out the Black Obsidian Organization?"

Lin Fan's expression turned cold. He gripped the heavenly dao divine weapon tightly, his gaze sharp. "I intend not only to wipe out the Black Obsidian Organization but also to completely repair the Heavenly Mechanism Array and thwart your conspiracy!"

The black-armored woman chuckled, her eyes filled with contempt. "Foolish. The Solar System has long been our hunting ground; do you really think you can oppose us on your own?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the base activated its defense mode, and countless automated weapons popped out from the walls. Simultaneously, the ground began to shake, clearly signaling the summoning of some massive mechanical combat unit.

Lin Fan fought back while dodging the incoming lasers. However, the lasers kept coming, and Lin Fan found himself momentarily on the defensive.

"Master, the energy device is the key; destroying it will render these weapons ineffective!" Xiao Du quickly advised.

Lin Fan nodded, his figure flickering as he used Void Evasion to bypass the dense firepower and charge toward the device's core.

The heavenly dao divine weapon in his hand emitted a blinding light. He smashed down with his spear, and the energy device let out a piercing shriek as a violent explosion instantly engulfed the entire room.

However, amidst the aftermath of the explosion, the black-armored woman's projection remained suspended, and she gave a cold smile. "Very well, but this is only the beginning. At the next coordinate, you will witness true despair."

The moment the projection vanished, the base began to shake violently, clearly having entered self-destruct mode.

Lin Fan took a deep breath, and the heavenly dao divine weapon in his hand violently unleashed a Void Sword Qi, tearing directly through the rock layer above.

He quickly soared upward, rushing out of the rift just before the base exploded, and stood on the red desert of Mars, watching the flames rising behind him.

"The Mars stronghold has been destroyed, but more dangers are waiting for me."

Lin Fan muttered to himself, his gaze like lightning as he looked toward the next coordinate displayed on the Heavenly Secret Roulette. He transformed into a stream of light and flew toward his new target.

Lin Fan returned to the Void Realm from Mars, and the Heavenly Secret Roulette had already marked his next target coordinate: Ganymede, the largest satellite near Jupiter.

Hidden on this satellite was another important stronghold of the Black Obsidian Organization.

He gripped the heavenly dao divine weapon, crimson lightning dancing along the spear shaft.

"The stronghold on Ganymede is larger, and it seems to involve the participation of Earthlings."

Lin Fan frowned slightly, a faint sense of unease stirring in his heart.

Without hesitation, he performed a Transmigration across the starry sky and descended onto the surface of Ganymede.

The Ganymede stronghold was a massive and complex colonial city.

The buildings here were towering and full of high-tech aesthetics, but they also exuded an air of desolation and oppression.

Lin Fan landed on the edge of the city and saw countless Earthlings dressed in simple rags, engaged in mechanized labor, each with a numb expression and dull eyes, like walking corpses that had lost their Soul.

"Are these people… all Earthlings who have been pushed to their limits?"

"Yes, Master. According to the scan, over ten million Earthlings reside here. They were originally refugees abducted by the Black Obsidian Organization, but after long-term brainwashing and oppression, many have willingly joined the Black Obsidian Organization."

Lin Fan remained silent for a moment before walking toward the center of the city.

His target was the towering energy tower in the center of the city—this was one of the Black Obsidian Organization's key facilities, used to control the energy and defenses of this stronghold.

However, just as he reached the city square, a dense crowd surged out.

They were armed with various crude weapons; some even held only iron rods and kitchen utensils. Yet, their eyes were filled with hostility and determination as they surrounded Lin Fan.

"Get out!"

"Don't even think about destroying our home!"

The crowd roared in anger.

Lin Fan shouted loudly, "This is not your home; it is a cage where the Black Obsidian Organization keeps you imprisoned! You are being exploited and used—don't you want to return to Earth and reclaim a free life?"

His words made some people pause, but many more were incensed.

"Freedom? Earth only brings us pain and despair!"

"Although it's hard here, at least we have food to eat and a place to live. This is where we belong!"

The roaring of the crowd made Lin Fan's heart ache faintly. He attempted to persuade them further, "The Black Obsidian Organization is merely using you. The Black Obsidian Organization on Earth has already been wiped out, and things will gradually return to normal. Returning to Earth is the right choice for you."

Just then, a little girl pushed her way out of the crowd, clutching an old soup spoon in her hand. Her childish voice carried firmness, "I won't let you destroy this place! This is our home; we have nowhere else to go!"

Her small, thin figure stood in front of Lin Fan, her eyes stubborn and persistent.

Lin Fan looked at her, a complex feeling rising in his heart.

His hand holding the heavenly dao divine weapon trembled slightly, crimson lightning dancing on the spear shaft, but he hesitated and did not act.

He knew that if he unleashed his spear, it would completely destroy this place and also kill countless innocent lives.

"Master, they cannot be persuaded. They have been completely brainwashed, and their perceptions cannot be changed in the short term." Xiao Du's voice echoed in his ear.

Lin Fan closed his eyes, suppressing the struggle in his heart, and finally put the long spear back into his Storage Pouch.

"I will not harm you, but the Black Obsidian Organization must be wiped out."

Lin Fan left Ganymede helplessly and returned to Earth.

In the starry sky, he felt heavy-hearted, contemplating his next plan.

At this moment, the projection of the black-armored woman appeared in the Void Realm once again.

"Lin Fan, you truly are useless. You can't even handle a group of ordinary people, yet you still want to stop the Black Obsidian Organization? And you talk about a counterattack of fate! How ridiculous."

Lin Fan looked up, his gaze like a sword, and said coldly, "Hmph, using a group of innocent people as bargaining chips—that's all the ability you have."

The black-armored woman gave a contemptuous smile, and the projection dissipated.
