Chapter 79: The Truth of Li Ya and the Choice of Lin Fan

Li Ya was furious to the extreme, her heart filled with rage and shame, feeling that she had been repeatedly thwarted and was like a joke.

She had completely lost her reason, attacking Lin Fan like a madwoman; however, Lin Fan was like an omnipotent ghost, always gently slipping away from under her claws, never once being touched.

"Enough!"

Li Ya finally stopped her attack, standing in place while panting, her eyes flashing with deep anger and unwillingness.

"Fine! Then let's talk. You know clearly that I've been played by you for over three years for nothing."

Lin Fan's mouth curled up: "I don't want to play with you, Li Ya, it's just that you yourself made this game so complicated."

"Fine, I'll count myself as unlucky; these past three years were just spent accompanying a dog."

Lin Fan gave an awkward smile, not resisting, "If you want to be my wife, it's not impossible, but you must first break free from the control of Mirror Venerable."

Li Ya looked at Lin Fan in confusion, "I don't know what you are talking about. Lord Sovereign has never controlled me; everything I have done was voluntary."

Lin Fan said seriously: "Are you not aware yourself? Mirror Venerable's control has long left a mark on you. Every single thing you have done over these three years was actually within her arrangements.

You think you are free, but in reality, you have always been under her control."

Li Ya's expression changed, her heart wavering slightly, but she still insisted on her position:

"Impossible! You're spouting nonsense! Lord Sovereign has never controlled me! Everything I have done was out of my own choice."

Lin Fan sighed: "Fine, let's not talk about this for now. If you really took on a mission, then tell me, perhaps we can reach a mutually beneficial agreement."

Li Ya still looked at him coldly, her brows tightly knitted. She knew Lin Fan had hidden meaning in his words, but she couldn't immediately debunk the truth he spoke of.

"What agreement?" She finally spoke, her tone carrying a trace of hesitation, but even more so, the vigilance that returned after regaining her reason.

Lin Fan looked straight into her eyes and said calmly: "You tell me the secrets about Mirror Venerable, the truth about how she manipulates you, and I can help you break free from her shackles.

The freedom you want, I can give to you, and I can even help you escape her control.

And you, in turn, can tell me the true content of the mission, why you have always been doing things for her, and what your ultimate goal is."

Li Ya sneered: "Stop acting hypocritical; I don't need you to help me break free from Lord Sovereign; she treats me very well."

She paused, her tone carrying a hint of a threat, and continued.

"If you really want to reach an agreement with me, then let me conceive your child. Afterward, I will tell you the whereabouts of the old notebook."

Lin Fan frowned slightly, "What do you want my child for? There are so many men in the world, why are you targeting me?"

Li Ya did not answer immediately, but looked at him, the expression in her eyes complex: "Because you are the only Void Main God. We need your Void Godhead."

Lin Fan's gaze sank, seemingly understanding something.

"Then what does that have to do with my child? If you need it, you can just come and find me."

Li Ya's face showed no remorse, but rather a hint of smugness: "Lord Sovereign has conducted detailed research on you; trying to defeat you head-on is simply impossible, as you have mysterious powers protecting you from behind. So we have no choice but to use a beauty trap and target your child."

Lin Fan felt a shock in his heart; he sensed that the situation was more complex and dangerous than he had imagined.

"Back to the point, what exactly are you going to do to my child? Draining the marrow and bones to get the Void Godhead from him?"

Li Ya smiled slightly, her eyes flashing with confident light, as if this matter was merely a trivial task.

"Yes, Lin Fan, draining the marrow and bones to get the Void Godhead from your child; this is nothing but simple for us."

Lin Fan's heart sank abruptly, and then a blood-red light flashed in his eyes, fury burning fiercely in his chest:

"Impossible, absolutely impossible. I will not let you do such things to my child!"

He clenched his fists tightly. If it weren't for the fact that Li Ya was too beautiful—and beauty is justice—Lin Fan would probably have beaten her up already.

Li Ya looked at the anger in his eyes, her expression still indifferent: "You have already become a deity, why would you still care about one child? If you are willing, I can help you give birth to hundreds, thousands, or even hundreds of millions of children at once, and I only need one of them."

Her tone was as if she were discussing a trivial, insignificant problem with Lin Fan, completely unaware that these words had thoroughly enraged him.

In the eyes of the Zerg, offspring are merely tools to achieve their goals; if needed, they can breed countless numbers.

Some are born as cannon fodder, some are born as beasts of burden, and some are born as food ingredients.

Regarding this, the Zerg Queen does not care at all, because they are merely tools.

But he, Lin Fan, is human, is the Void Main God; he cannot accept treating his own child as a tool, allowing their fate to be manipulated by others.

"In the eyes of you Zerg, offspring are just tools. But I, Lin Fan, am not a tool in your eyes, and I will not allow my child to become your tool!"

Li Ya was still smiling, without a trace of remorse in her eyes: "I don't understand. You can easily have more offspring; who would care about the life or death of one child?

As long as you are willing, I can help you give birth to children who are a thousand times, ten thousand times more excellent than him."

Lin Fan said angrily, "Enough, stop talking. I will absolutely never agree to such a thing!"

Li Ya still did not yield in the slightest, she lightly shrugged her shoulders, still smiling:

"Alright, since you are unwilling, then I will change the condition.

Your father, and your brother, are both living in Lord Sovereign's Heavenly Kingdom.

As long as you are willing, you can enter the Heavenly Kingdom at any time and live with them. If they are willing, you can even take them away from the Heavenly Kingdom.

Finally, I can also guarantee that this transaction will not harm your child's life.

One child in exchange for a family reunion, and on the premise of not harming its life, you wouldn't refuse this condition, would you?"

Lin Fan's heart was suddenly shaken; this condition was very attractive, not only could it achieve a family reunion, but it could also avoid harm to the child's life.

However, his intuition told him that even if this transaction appeared not to involve loss of life, the torment of being worse than dead was more painful than death.

"No, I refuse. I think we can change the method."

"What method!" Li Ya's light green eyes looked at Lin Fan innocently, looking so pure and harmless.

"I don't know what you have encountered that requires the Void Godhead. If I can help you solve the problem, perhaps we can reach another agreement."
