Chapter 8: Breath

Su Jingyu felt a bad premonition; this matter was strange. He sensed that if he stayed here any longer, something he didn't want to see would definitely happen.

Both he and the Crown Prince were in the Imperial Capital Advanced Academy, and they were even in the same department. Both possessed the Wind Element. Coupled with Su Jingyu's deliberate attempts to curry favor, he was very close to the Crown Prince, effectively becoming one of the Crown Prince's trusted aides.

The Crown Prince gave a cold smile: "To dare play such a prank in the Great General's Estate is truly audacious. Jingyu, you must investigate this thoroughly."

On a high tree branch that would take five people to encircle, the lush green leaves concealed the figures of Su Luo and Nangong Liuyun. Both were breathing very lightly, so no one discovered them.

Suddenly, Su Luo felt a warmth on the back of her neck, as a scorching breath instantly lingered around her sensitive earlobe.

Before she could react, Nangong Liuyun's wickedly charming, deep voice teased: "Do you want to see an even more exciting scene?"

"Oh?" Su Luo moved her body forward, distancing herself from him. She turned back to look at him, her gaze immediately meeting his eyes, which shone with a brilliance as radiant as starlight.

Nangong Liuyun sized up the girl before him at close range.

Bright eyes and white teeth, skin like congealed fat, lips like cinnabar; her small face was bare of makeup, yet far surpassed those heavily adorned. She looked like the morning dew in spring light, fresh and lovely. Especially those eyes, which held the clear ripples of spring water; as her beautiful eyes moved, they were spirited and touching.

Her beautiful eyes were clear and indifferent, yet her expression was even more aloof. The corners of her mouth curled into a cold arc, as ethereal as white clouds and as tranquil as calm seawater without a single ripple.

A thought suddenly flashed through Nangong Liuyun's mind: wouldn't it be quite interesting to completely break the calm deep within her eyes?

Suddenly, he reached out with a strong and powerful long arm, while his other fair and lustrous finger lifted Su Luo's pointed chin. A heavy shadow descended over Su Luo.

At this critical moment, Su Luo's palm separated his lips from hers.

"The game isn't over yet, what's the rush?" Su Luo glanced at him with a half-smile, lowering her voice.

"Win or lose? It's just a matter of a single thought." A playful smile played on Nangong Liuyun's pink lips. He slightly raised his thick sword-like eyebrows. Without any visible movement from him, a scream suddenly echoed from not far away.

At this moment, the Crown Prince and Su Jingyu had already turned to leave. They had only walked a few steps when they heard a sharp cry of pain from the Lotus Pond. For a moment, everyone stopped in their tracks.

Su Luo was initially confused, but when she looked down from her high vantage point and clearly saw the blood on Su Wan's forehead, she couldn't help but be stunned. Then, she glared fiercely at Nangong Liuyun, gritting her teeth and saying word by word: "You. Cheated!"

"Is there a rule saying I can't cheat?" Nangong Liuyun began to act shamelessly.

Su Luo helplessly rolled her eyes at Nangong Liuyun. A brilliant chuckle bloomed on the man's face; his already peerlessly handsome face was like a Night-Blooming Cereus in full bloom, breathtakingly beautiful.

Being hit by a pebble, Su Wan subconsciously screamed. Clutching her bleeding head, she almost jumped up.

Simply a pig! And the stupidest one at that!

Su Xi was so angry she wanted to slap this third sister to death for causing her endless trouble. She had thought today was unlucky enough already, but she didn't expect the God of Misfortune to favor her so much!

"Who is it?!" Su Jingyu shouted loudly towards the empty Lotus Pond.

Just who was hiding there? Most infuriatingly, with his level of strength, he didn't even know where the other party was hiding. It was simply detestable! Su Jingyu was extremely furious!
