Chapter 907: How Dare You Impersonate Me!

The time went back to three days ago.

High above the Atlantic Ocean, fierce winds howled.

"Night Monarch" — This four-star Demonic Energy airship offered by Gotham City Mayor Bruce Wayne was steadily speeding through the clouds.

Zhou Huai sat on the deep-sea demonic dragon leather sofa, gently swirling the Demonic Energy red wine in his cup.

He turned his head and looked through the porthole, overlooking the gradually clearing massive outline below.

After several hours of flight, he arrived at his destination for this trip.

The core power hub of the Free Federation, the Holy City.

Before the airship had even landed, looking down from above, the entire city could be taken in at a glance.

The Holy City was shrouded in a Holy Light barrier.

Right in the center of the city, the Holy Palace complex built of pure white marble and gold towered into the clouds, exuding thick fluctuations of the Light Law.

Separated by tens of thousands of meters of high altitude, that majesty could still be felt.

Zhou Huai put down his wine glass and walked over to the porthole.

He silently sensed the position of the Parasite inside the Ancient Remnant Clan.

Soon, Zhou Huai raised his eyebrows slightly.

"How interesting…"

He withdrew his perception.

Those Ancient Remnant Clan members exuding the aura of the old era were located precisely right underneath the Holy Palace.

The Dawnbreaker Guild headquarters, this tumor hidden behind the scenes, was actually built in the most sacred place of the Free Federation.

Darkness under the lamp.

Mr. Duan truly lived up to being an old monster who had lived for countless epochs.

The high-level officials of the Holy See and the Holy Knights Order stationed in the Holy Palace sang hymns every day, yet probably had no idea that they were stepping on the largest terrorist organization in the current world.

"Rumble—"

The Demonic Energy engine hummed lowly as the airship decelerated and descended toward the Holy City Royal Airport.

Zhou Huai walked back to the center of the cabin and took out a simple-looking badge from his space ring.

There were no patterns on the surface of the badge, only a chaotic grayish color.

Legendary-grade item — "token of the faceless".

Back when he was undercover in Sakura Country, he relied on this item to avoid all high-tier detection skills.

Zhou Huai pinned the "token of the faceless" on his chest.

"Hum—"

The badge emitted a gray light, enveloping him.

His figure began to change.

His bones rubbed slightly, his body hunched slightly, his dark golden battle armor turned into soft fabric, and his black hair faded into blond hair.

A few seconds later, the light dissipated.

Standing in place was a middle-aged man wearing a pure white priest robe.

His skin was fair, with wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, his short blond hair was meticulously groomed, and he held a pure silver cross inlaid with a high-tier Holy Light magic core in his hand.

His expression was gentle, and a compassionate smile hung at the corners of his mouth, exuding benevolence.

It was none other than Andrew, the Holy See archbishop he had a fleeting encounter with back then.

Zhou Huai walked over to the floor-to-length mirror and looked himself over.

"Perfect."

Even the aura and fluctuations of the Light Law were simulated without any flaws.

Now that the Holy Lord was dead, the Free Federation was leaderless.

As the Holy See archbishop, Andrew was already one of the highest leaders.

Impersonating him, no one would dare to suspect or search.

After confirming there were no mistakes, Zhou Huai put on the airs of an archbishop, crossed his hands to hold the cross, and calmly walked down the airship.

Outside the airship, at the royal airport apron.

A team of security personnel wearing Holy See badges was standing by in strict Formation.

The security captain leading the team was a level 60 Light Knight. Due to the tense situation in the Holy City, higher-ups had issued a strict order that any landing airship must be thoroughly investigated.

"All of you, raise your spirits to the highest level! No matter whose airship this is, even if it is the Gotham City mayor's, you must search it carefully!" the security captain shouted loudly.

"Click."

The cabin door slowly opened.

The security captain led his men to surround it, pressing his hand on the sword hilt and shouting, "Routine inspection! The people inside immediately come out and accept—"

The voice stopped abruptly.

At the cabin door, a blond middle-aged man wearing priest robes and holding a cross was walking down the gangway.

The security captain froze, his eyes widening.

"L-Your Excellency the Archbishop?!"

All his arrogance vanished completely, his legs went soft, and he knelt on one knee.

The surrounding security personnel saw who was coming and also knelt down in unison, the sound of weapons colliding ringing out everywhere.

"Greetings, Lord Andrew!"

Hundreds of people shouted in unison.

Everyone lowered their heads, not daring to breathe loudly.

Zhou Huai looked at the people kneeling all over the ground, his smile unchanged on the surface, and gave a faint "Mn".

Afterwards, without even glancing at the security captain, he held the cross and walked through the middle of the crowd, heading straight outside the airport.

Until his back disappeared, the security captain wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"Captain… are we still checking the airship?" a subordinate asked in a low voice.

"Check your head! How dare you inspect Your Excellency the Archbishop's carriage? Do you have a death wish?!" the security captain slapped his subordinate on the head and scolded.

Leaving the airport, Zhou Huai declined the carriage,

and walked toward the Holy Palace, taking the opportunity to observe the Holy City's deployment of defenses.

All the way unimpeded, he quickly arrived at the main gate of the central Holy Palace.

On both sides of the gate, two rows of Holy Knights wearing bright silver armor stood holding long halberds.

Faint golden defensive Formation patterns emerged in the air.

Zhou Huai walked toward the gate.

The guard knights noticed the commotion and swept their gazes over.

After seeing the person's face clearly, their vigilance instantly dissipated.

"Lord Andrew!"

The knight captain put away his long halberd and gave a standard military salute. The remaining knights also saluted one after another.

"My lord, you are back," the knight captain said respectfully, turning around and making a gesture to the mage controlling the Formation.

"Hum—"

A passage split open in the defensive Formation on the Holy Palace gate.

The two pure gold doors slowly opened.

Zhou Huai nodded slightly, kept a smile, and stepped into the Holy Palace.

There was no questioning or obstruction, nor any identity verification. A face was the pass.

Walking down the red-carpeted corridor, Zhou Huai calculated how to find the entrance leading underground next.

Just as he turned a corridor corner, Zhou Huai's steps paused.

At the other end of the corridor, a person was walking towards him.

Wearing pure white priest robes, blond hair meticulously groomed, holding a pure silver cross, and wearing a smile at the corners of his mouth.

Zhou Huai froze.

The person opposite him also froze.

The two looked at each other across a dozen meters. Identical robes, cross, blond hair, and even the arc of the smile was exactly the same.

The air seemed to freeze.

When the opponent saw Zhou Huai clearly, his expression instantly stiffened, his eyes filled with doubt, which immediately turned into shock and furious rage.

The real Archbishop Andrew couldn't believe that inside the Holy Palace, someone was brazenly impersonating him.

Andrew was shaking with anger, pointing at Zhou Huai and shouting: "You!"

Before he could finish his sentence.

Zhou Huai was quick-eyed and fast-handed, not hesitating at all as the golden thunder inside his body instantly erupted.

"Boom!"

Without lengthy spellcasting, a bolt of Purple Heaven Divine Thunder appeared out of thin air, fiercely striking down on the head of the real Andrew.

"Crackling!"

The power of thunder coursed through his entire body.

The dignified archbishop didn't even have time to erect a shield before he was electrocuted into full-body spasms.

His blond hair exploded into a chicken nest, and his robes were charred black.

"Uh…" Andrew rolled his eyes, spat out a mouthful of black smoke, fell straight backward, and smashed onto the carpet, completely knocked out.

Looking at the main person who had fallen to the ground, Zhou Huai withdrew his hand.

In order to cover up the commotion of the thunder eruption, he struck first and shouted angrily at the real Andrew on the ground:

"Audacious! How dare you impersonate me!"
