Chapter 912: You Are Heavenly Dao!

The bald man was so enraged that his eyes turned bloodshot, his eyeballs practically bulging out, and he roared through gritted teeth:

"Bah!"

"Just you?!"

"Even if I die, even if I jump off right here, you can beat me to death and I will never call you that!"

The other members of the Dawnbreaker Guild glared angrily, wishing they could tear Zhou Huai to pieces with their gazes.

However.

Their bodies were very honest, though.

"Bang!"

The bald man's head uncontrollably smashed hard against the obsidian floor, leaving a bloody mark.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Thousands of people lowered their heads simultaneously, their foreheads heavily slamming against the ground.

Kowtowing heavily.

Each kowtow was heavier than the last.

The floor resounded with deafening crashes as blood flowed down from their foreheads.

Immediately after, thousands of people uncontrollably opened their mouths.

They shouted in unison:

"Dad!"

In unison, extremely loud.

The sound echoed within the empty underground base, deafening.

Zhou Huai stood in front of the thousands of people and nodded with satisfaction.

"That's more like it."

With his hands behind his back, he slowly walked among the kneeling crowd like a king inspecting his territory.

Looking again at those members of the Dawnbreaker Guild.

Each of them looked as wretched as if they had eaten excrement.

The bald man's face was covered in blood, his eyes red, and tears and snot streamed down in humiliation.

The female mage bit her lip, staring fixedly at the ground, wishing she could find a crack in the floor to crawl into.

They were high and mighty powerhouses, after all!

Yet now, like dogs, they were kneeling on the ground, kowtowing to a stranger and calling him dad!

This kind of mental devastation was ten thousand times more agonizing than killing them.

Their eyes were red, and they wished they could immediately jump up, swallow Zhou Huai alive, and chew his bones to pieces.

Yet right now, they couldn't even move an inch.

They couldn't even commit suicide.

Zhou Huai had no intention of killing them either; as long as the Parasite remained in their bodies for a day, they would be his slaves from then on, serving him for life.

Zhou Huai kept his hands behind his back and shuttled through the crowd.

Mr. Duan's foundation, accumulated over countless epochs, had now all become his bargaining chips. As long as the Alien Parasite was still inside these people, this force capable of subverting the present world had to obediently listen to his commands.

Right at this moment, a woman's voice suddenly resounded in Zhou Huai's mind.

"Have you played enough?"

The voice was cold and aloof, carrying a hint of anxiety.

Zhou Huai's footsteps paused slightly.

Tsubaki?

He was stunned for a moment, then speechless.

"Did you guy install a radio in my head?" Zhou Huai snapped back irritably in his mind.

He rolled his eyes, his gaze happening to sweep over a kneeling SS-Rank Professional swordsman. The swordsman thought he was about to make trouble and turned pale with fright.

Zhou Huai ignored the other party and continued to complain in his mind: "You can contact me no matter when, no matter where?"

"Back above the Atlantic Ocean, you were able to forcibly transmit voice to me by ignoring dimensional distances. Now I've even sneaked underground into the Holy City of the Free Federation, a place shielded by layers of High-Dimensional Law Formations, yet you can still talk in my head anytime and anywhere?"

"This is a bit of an infringement on my privacy, watch out or I'll sue you!"

The voice in his mind held no hint of a joke.

"I don't have time to joke with you."

"Your time is running out."

Zhou Huai raised an eyebrow, putting away his banter, and continued to walk unhurriedly.

"Mr. Duan has already entered The Eighth Ruin at this moment." Tsubaki spoke at an extremely fast pace.

"Once he absorbs all the SSS-Class Professionals in The Eighth Ruin and completes the final incomplete high-dimensional divine persona, you will have completely lost your chance. By then, the entire present world will usher in his grand cleansing!"

Zhou Huai's expression remained unchanged, merely twitching the corner of his mouth.

"Then why didn't you say so earlier?" He retorted in his mind, "Telling me now is probably already too late, right?"

"The Eighth Ruin in the Far North is a hundred thousand miles away from the Free Federation. Even if I grew wings and rushed over now, it wouldn't help. By the time I arrive, he will probably have scattered even the ashes of those old-era remnants."

"No, it's not too late." Tsubaki's voice rang out immediately, her tone certain.

"As long as you look for your mother now, there's still a chance."

"But we cannot drag this out any longer; you must act immediately. I can help you stall Mr. Duan for a short time and win the final chance for you!"

Hearing this, Zhou Huai stopped walking.

He happened to be standing right in front of the bald man, looking down condescendingly at his shiny bald head. Staring at the leather shoes stopped right before his eyes, the bald man broke out in a cold sweat of fear, thinking Zhou Huai was going to make an example of him.

Zhou Huai didn't look at him at all, instead smiling.

"I might have never told you that I am looking for my mother."

"How did you know?"

In his mind, Tsubaki's voice fell into a brief silence.

Zhou Huai continued pressing step by step: "Besides, how do you know there is a chance to find my mother and defeat Mr. Duan?"

"A Guardian Goddess of the First World who just narrowly escaped death, on what grounds does she know things so clearly?"

Zhou Huai's smile grew even wider.

"Can you stop pretending, Tsubaki?"

"Or should I call you, Heavenly Dao?"

A prolonged dead silence.

After a long while, that cold and anxious voice in his mind changed, its tone becoming extremely relaxed.

"To think you found out."

"I thought I hid it very well."

Zhou Huai resumed his steps, his leather shoes clicking crisply against the obsidian floor.

"I was wondering why the System specifically issued a quest back then to make me look for you."

"I thought it was strange at the time. The Heavenly Dao System has always been a cold rule, so why would it suddenly issue a targeted quest against an old god of the First World? And the quest rewards were extremely generous."

"Turns out, that wasn't any quest at all."

"That was a reasonable identity you arranged for yourself in this present world."

"Because Tsubaki of the First World is Heavenly Dao."

"By borrowing the identity of Tsubaki, you could not only reasonably contact me, but also logically guide me to deal with Mr. Duan. After all, Tsubaki and Mr. Duan shared a deep blood feud; this motive was simply too perfect."

"Even Mr. Duan himself probably doesn't know about this, right?"

"He thought he drove Tsubaki to a desperate situation, he thought he devoured Tsubaki's Origin, and even thought Tsubaki plotted against him with the Origin Virus."

"But he had no idea that what he was dealing with from beginning to end was merely an Incarnation cast out by the Heavenly Dao System!"

"Then how did you discover it?" Tsubaki asked.

Zhou Huai sneered.

"How else?"

"You acted too anxious."

Zhou Huai turned around to look at the teleportation Formation in the center of the plaza.

"Back in the Atlantic Ocean, after I killed the Sea God, you couldn't wait to transmit your voice across dimensions to tell me the location of The Eighth Ruin, trying to guide me to the Far North to fight Mr. Duan to the death."

"I started doubting then. Why would a heavily wounded old god be able to transmit voice across dimensions by ignoring High-Dimensional Law?"

"And just now, you were even more impatient. Seeing that I didn't go to the Far North, but instead ran to the Holy City, you were afraid your plan would fall through, so you directly pointed out the existence of my mother."

"You wanted me to deal with Mr. Duan so badly that you exposed information you shouldn't have known."

Zhou Huai rubbed his chin.

"Actually, I was quite anxious originally."

"After all, that old monster Mr. Duan is too strong. Once he completes his divine persona, everyone will die."

"But now seeing you anxious, I'm not in a rush anymore."
