Cheating
"That’s right. I just escaped disaster through an Isotope Concept."
Thanos did not deny it. "Otherwise, in an explosion like that, I would at least have been seriously injured. Blood God, you’ve asked me so many questions. Now let me ask you one: do you know how many isotopes I’ve devoured?"
"How many isotopes?"
Wang Bert’s eyes narrowed. "Three digits or four?"
"Four-digit isotopes?"
Everyone could not help gasping. That meant killing Thanos over a thousand times while being besieged by hundreds of Thanoses?
How could that possibly be done? Thanos had not been wrong. His ability truly countered Fair Space.
"By the way, let me tell you some good news."
Thanos did not answer Wang Bert’s question. He said smugly, "Even if you kill me here, I won’t die, because I hid isotopes outside long ago. More than one, at that."
Wang Bert was speechless. He complained, "Wow, Thanos, when did you become so cowardly? Are you still that arrogant, cool, domineering Thanos from before?"
"My last defeat taught me a profound lesson: as long as you live, you have everything. So before every battle, I make every preparation necessary to ensure my survival."
Thanos said, "Actually, you don’t need to worry about that, because you will definitely die here."
Thinking of something, Thanos turned to the spectators and said viciously, "The same goes for all of you. I’ll crush you one by one beneath my feet."
Everyone could not help swallowing. Tony said irritably, "Damn it, I really want to punch that guy."
Strange poured cold water on him. "So do I. The problem is, we can’t beat him."
Everyone sighed in unison. This was going to be difficult. Loki cursed, "It’s all that bastard Old Tony’s fault. If Blood God’s true body had come in, what the hell would Thanos be?"
Everyone agreed deeply. If Wang Bert’s true body descended, Thanos’s Isotope Concept would be nothing. It was merely an ancient god avatar; a Creator God had countless ways to deal with it.
The special circumstances of Fair Space had made Thanos’s Isotope Concept unimaginably terrifying.
It was worth mentioning that while Wang Bert and Thanos were talking, the space within Arena World slowly recovered, gradually returning to its original state.
"Does this count as karma?"
Wang Bert could not help laughing. He had used the Blood River to bully others before, and now someone else was using an Isotope Concept to "bully" him.
The quotation marks were necessary because Thanos could not actually bully Wang Bert. Do not forget that Wang Bert possessed the Concept of Blood. It was hard for him to die even if he wanted to. No matter how many isotopes Thanos had, Wang Bert could wear him down to death.
It would just take a while. They would probably have to fight for over a hundred years before a real victor could be decided. By then, Tony and the others would have turned into long-lasting skeletons, applauding for him from the stands.
When it came to resurrection and rebirth, Wang Bert had always been good at it. In fact, he was the most cowardly one of all.
Perhaps someone could defeat Wang Bert, but absolutely no one could completely kill him.
Wang Bert’s expression made Thanos frown. He saw no despair in Wang Bert’s eyes. In fact, Wang Bert even seemed excited, like he had found a novel toy.
Thanos asked tentatively, "Blood God, you don’t think you still have a chance to win, do you?"
"Well."
Wang Bert said somewhat awkwardly, "Although this place is called Fair Space, I’ve never really liked following rules. I prefer finding loopholes and taking advantage of them. Fair Space is no exception."
Thanos did not quite understand. "What do you mean?"
"I mean I found some loopholes in Fair Space. Those loopholes let me cheat inside Fair Space."
Wang Bert smiled. "You cheat, I cheat. They cancel each other out nicely."
"You can cheat?"
Thanos and the spectators were all shocked. Tony shouted excitedly, "Bert, well done! A real man should cheat."
Wang Bert’s face darkened. Are you sure you’re praising me? And aren’t you insulting men instead? Carol was already laughing out loud.
"I didn’t cheat. This is my ability."
Thanos snorted. "Besides, even if you cheat, you’re still doomed to die today."
With that, the Thanoses stopped wasting time and marched toward Wang Bert together. With every step they took, the space around them solidified further. Wang Bert felt as if mountains were constantly pressing down on him.
"Truly terrifying."
Wang Bert shook his head and raised a hand. A Space Vortex appeared. Then Tony and the others in the spectator stands were all involuntarily pulled into Arena World, landing beside Wang Bert.
"Huh?"
Everyone was dumbfounded. One second they had been watching the show, and the next they had become the performers?
"This is your cheating?"
Thanos sneered. "What use are these trash coming in? They can’t even take one punch from me."
"What did you say?"
Captain Marvel and Thor shouted in displeasure. Thanos glanced at them and scoffed. "Those two are somewhat decent. They can take three punches from me."
Captain Marvel and Thor gritted their teeth in fury, clenching their fists as they prepared to teach Thanos a lesson.
"Bert, why did you bring us in? Didn’t you say before that we weren’t Thanos’s match?"
Tony asked in confusion. "Not to mention we have plenty of dead weight on our side, like Loki and Loki."
The Lokis were greatly dissatisfied. Although they really were dead weight, you did not have to say it out loud.
"I brought you in to give you an opportunity."
Wang Bert raised his right hand. A ball of Light of the Mind glittered in his palm. Then it transformed into countless rays of light and flew into everyone’s bodies. They immediately felt as if their minds had been fitted with accelerators, and endless inspiration surged forth.
A spark flashed through Sersi’s mind. She raised her hand, turning the air before her into crystal-clear crystal. She nearly burst into tears of joy. A bottleneck that had trapped her for over seven thousand years had finally broken.
Captain Marvel’s heart stirred, and dazzling light shone from her body. The light then formed into exquisite armor and weapons. Her combat power instantly rose several times over.
It was not only Sersi and Captain Marvel who improved. Everyone else advanced by leaps and bounds as well. The energy inside them had not changed, but the way they controlled it had. The same fuel could produce entirely different efficiencies in different generators.
Tony could not help exclaiming, "Wow, Bert, what did you do? I feel like I went from a super genius to a super-super-super genius!"
Everyone rolled their eyes. Was there really a need for that many "supers"? "Nothing much. I just loaded my Mind Power into your brains."
Wang Bert smiled. "You can think of it as me installing a super CPU in each of you."
"A Creator God-level CPU?"
Everyone cried out, then their eyes lit up. This was a rare opportunity. The CPU would leave, but the insights would remain. After this battle, their strength would improve greatly.
Simply put, it was equivalent to a Creator God personally giving them cheats.
Thanos’s face twitched. Wasn’t this cheating a little too excessive? He could ignore it before, but now he could not afford to.
"No matter how ants change, they are still ants. Die, all of you!"
Thanos shouted, and all the Thanoses charged forward together. Though there were only a hundred or so of them, their momentum was more terrifying than an army of thousands.
"This is Fair Space. Everything must be fair."
Wang Bert smiled faintly. Rays of light descended from the sky onto the Super Heroes who had not reached god-level, and their strength immediately surged.
"I feel fantastic." Tony whistled and was the first to rush forward.
"Thanos, I’ve wanted to kill you for a long time."
As Tony spoke, he raised his right hand. Nanoparticles rapidly gathered in his hand, forming a strangely shaped long rifle.
Then Tony fired. A blast of Space Energy struck one Thanos, directly transferring him into the spectator stands. The Space Vortex was still there, so Tony could transfer Thanos away.
"I got one. The rest are up to you."
Tony called over his shoulder, then rushed into the Space Vortex to deal with the Thanos in the stands. Seeing this, Thanos’s true body punched through the air, directly blasting the Space Vortex apart.
"What’s the point? I can open a Space Vortex like that whenever I want."
Wang Bert beckoned at Thanos. The two vanished at the same time, and when they reappeared, they were both in the spectator stands.
"Blood God, die!"
Thanos roared and summoned two more isotopes. Then the three of them joined forces to attack Wang Bert. Everything in their path, whether spectator seats or space itself, was smashed to pieces.
"No sense of public decency at all."
Wang Bert shook his head and charged forward fearlessly, engaging the three Thanoses in an incomparably fierce battle. The surrounding seats and space shattered and vanished at an astonishing speed.
Though he was fighting one against three, Wang Bert was not at a disadvantage in the slightest. As long as he believed he would not lose, he would not lose.
At the same time, Steve and the others began fighting the group of Thanoses. Steve blocked Thanos’s punch with his shield and said, "I finally blocked it. Thanos, I lost last time, but this time, I won’t lose again."
Fair Space had forcibly raised Steve’s strength to god-level, allowing him to withstand Thanos’s punch. Otherwise, he, the unit of measurement, would have been sent flying long ago.
"No, you will. In fact, I didn’t use any strength at all last time."
Thanos grinned viciously and hammered Steve’s shield with furious punches. Even the Vibranium shield was gradually dented by the blows.
Steve continuously adjusted the angle of his shield, using the Vibranium shield’s properties to reflect damage back at Thanos. Thanos grew annoyed and grabbed the shield, intending to wrench it away.
Taking advantage of the moment, Steve kicked Thanos in the knee. With a bang, Thanos dropped to one knee. Then Steve raised his hand, and Thor’s Hammer flew into it. He swung it down hard, unleashing rampant lightning that blasted Thanos away.
"That’s my hammer."
Loki shouted unhappily. Before the Infinity Stones disappeared, he had used the Reality Stone to forcibly solidify the hammer. Before he could even warm it up, Steve had summoned it away.
What kind of lousy hammer ran off with another man?
"Loki, now you finally understand how I feel."
Thor laughed loudly as he swung Stormbreaker, fighting two Thanoses by himself without falling behind in the slightest. This time, he would definitely remember to aim for the head.
"Loki, I’ll return the hammer for now. I’ll borrow it again later."
Steve tossed the hammer back to Loki, then charged forward and drove his knee into the Thanos who had just climbed back up, knocking him flying. After holding in his anger for five years, he could finally vent it.
Loki caught the hammer and cursed irritably, "Again? Go borrow one from someone else. That Black Loki and Kid Loki over there both have hammers."
Black Loki and Kid Loki simultaneously gave Loki the middle finger. Lokis truly were disgustingly awful creatures.
"It’s time to drink the Rage Potion. Hulk, let’s wash away our past humiliation together."
Dr. Banner took out the Rage Potion Wang Bert had given him and drank it. Then he threw away the bottle, ripped open his tank top, and filled his eyes with fury and savagery.
"Hulk invincible."
Hulk officially returned. He charged at Thanos with ferocious force, his fists smashing down at Thanos like twin rockets.
Thanos looked disdainful. He raised both hands and caught Hulk’s fists with two loud bangs. Then he bent his knees slightly and flexed his arms, wrestling Hulk in a contest of strength. "Defeated opponent, if I can beat you once, I can beat you a hundred times."
"Hulk won’t lose again."
Hulk roared, the muscles in his arms swelling as he used all his strength to push Thanos down. Unfortunately, Thanos did not move at all. Instead, he pushed Hulk backward step by step.
Every step Hulk took backward left a deep footprint in the ground. He let out beast-like growls, veins popping out one by one across his arms. His body even began turning slightly red from overexertion.
Even fighting so desperately, Hulk still could not match Thanos’s Titan Power. Thanos wore a savage grin. He had let this guy escape last time. This time, he would beat him apart, in the cruelest way possible.
Just then, Hulk suddenly fell backward. Caught off guard, Thanos could not help leaning forward. Hulk’s right foot abruptly expanded, and he delivered an earth-shattering kick right between Thanos’s legs.
Balls flew and eggs cracked. Even Thanos could not help letting out a miserable scream as he flew backward, landed on the ground, curled into a shrimp, and rolled around endlessly.
The other Thanoses could not help clamping their legs together at the sight, their hearts filled with sorrow for their balls. Wasn’t that too vicious? Hulk seized the chance to climb up and hammered Thanos’s head wildly with his fists. Thanos had no ability to fight back and could only take the beating.
"Hahaha, Hulk invincible!"
Hulk laughed wildly, filled with indescribable exhilaration. He had finally avenged the humiliation from before.
The people nearby were speechless. This thick-browed, big-eyed fellow had actually learned to deceive people too.
Clearly, Hulk had been acting the whole time. His strength was far greater than he had shown. He had deliberately lowered Thanos’s guard, then seized the chance to give Thanos a brutal blow.
"Hulk is just a child. He doesn’t have that much scheming. This must have been Banner’s idea. It seems Dr. Banner isn’t as honest as he looks."
Black Panther said. Valkyrie agreed deeply. "That’s right. Banner must have been plotting against Thanos."
Dr. Banner was completely dumbfounded. What the hell did this have to do with me? Hulk came up with that plan himself, okay? And I’m not just honest on the surface. I really am honest. Otherwise, why would I still be unable to find a wife at this age?
There’s definitely something wrong with that Rage Potion. That Hulk from the Main Universe is practically a menace.
Dr. Banner gritted his teeth inwardly. The Main Universe’s Hulk might even be smarter than Banner himself. He had no idea how Blood God had trained him.
