Cleanup, Death Star

"Your Majesty!"

"Elder Jiaying!"

The Inhumans threw down their weapons and knelt toward the palace. Many of them even broke into loud sobs.

Tony landed beside Wang Bert, opened his faceplate, and said irritably, "This isn’t a movie. Why did he have to die so tragically?"

"He was already dead. What was the point of caring about that?"

Wang Bert shook his head and said, "Let’s wrap things up. Too many people have died in this war."

Tony looked at the devastated surroundings and shook his head. "I hope there won’t be any more wars between humans and Inhumans."

"If you want humans and Inhumans to remain at peace, words alone won’t be enough."

Wang Bert said, "Besides the Inhuman Public Relations Company, Raina, and Skye, there’s still a great deal of work to do."

Tony fell silent. Though Wang Bert annoyed him greatly, he had to admit that Wang Bert had contributed far more to this world than he had.

Tony asked, "Do you really intend to make Skye the King of the Inhumans?"

"It’s not that I intend to make her one. She is destined to become the King of the Inhumans."

Wang Bert said, "Besides, she’s an Earthling."

Tony understood immediately. "Got it."

Seeing that Maximus was dead, Steve shouted orders, "soldiers, tie up all the prisoners! Medics, come treat the wounded! Human Torch, put out the fires…"

"Yes, Captain!"

Everyone answered in turn. Black Bolt, Medusa, and the others walked over, and Medusa said, "Director, many of them are innocent."

"I know. I won’t bring civilians back to Earth."

Thinking of something, Steve asked, "Uh, can your Attilan be repaired?"

Karnak said, "I’ll inspect the Defense Center. It shouldn’t be a major problem."

"Good. Go check it. Black Bolt, rest assured, S.W.O.R.D. isn’t made up of executioners."

Black Bolt typed, "I believe you. By the way, I would like to formally speak with the leaders of your Earth Federation. The Inhuman Kingdom is willing to join the Earth Federation and become part of Earth."

"The Earth Federation?"

Steve and Tony immediately became awkward. Wang Bert looked up at the sky, pretending he had heard nothing.

"No problem. We seized quite a few alien communicators. Once we’re finished here, we’ll contact them for you immediately."

Tony smiled. Better to toss this problem to the Five Great Nations.

Black Bolt nodded. "All right."

After that, everyone began dealing with the aftermath. Once everything was completely over, Steve shouted, "We won!"

"Yeah!"

The soldiers cheered loudly. Humanity’s first space war had ended in a resounding victory.

Every one of them would go down in history. "That’s wonderful."

When the news returned to Earth, governments and ordinary citizens alike erupted in cheers. For humanity, this was an important milestone.

The first step into the interstellar age had been taken.

During an interstellar communication, Medusa said to President Ellis and the others, "Our Inhuman Kingdom is willing to join the Earth Federation."

"The Earth Federation?"

Everyone was dumbfounded. Had the Earth Federation been established already? How had they not known? Come on, the Earth Federation was only an idea. The Five Great Nations had not even discussed it together.

Seeing that President Ellis and the others looked somewhat strange, Medusa asked, "Is there a problem? Our Inhuman Kingdom is very sincere, and we originally came from Earth."

President Ellis had no idea how to answer. At that moment, the Blood God’s projection appeared. He said, "To celebrate the Earth Federation winning its first space war, I’ve decided to give each of your nations a space escort ship."

Everyone’s eyes lit up. "The six ships that launched the missiles earlier?"

Wang Bert nodded. "That’s right. They’re gifts for the Earth Federation."

"On behalf of the Earth Federation, I thank Mr. Wang for his generosity. Also, Queen Medusa, the Earth Federation welcomes your accession."

President Ellis spoke at once. At worst, they could rename the United Nations the Earth Federation. No matter what, he was determined to get those spaceships.

The other four representatives thought the same way and nodded in agreement.

Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction and vanished. That hole had finally been plugged.

Three days later, the lunar expeditionary force returned to Washington. The public welcomed them enthusiastically, and President Ellis personally attended to award everyone medals.

The captured Kree suffered a horrific amount of gawking during the celebration. It couldn’t be helped; many people were seeing aliens for the first time.

Thor and Loki did not count. What was the difference between those two and Earthlings? Compared to them, the Kree fit people’s idea of aliens much better.

Meanwhile, Wang Bert formally accepted Councilor Malik’s allegiance at his estate.

"Very good. I won’t disappoint you, and I hope you won’t disappoint me either."

Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. With the Malik Family on his side, America was now completely stable. There would be no more unexpected trouble.

How powerful was the Malik Family? In the TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," even after he exposed his identity, President Ellis still did not dare arrest him!

"Blood God, the Ancient Hydra branch has already begun cleaning up its image. We will no longer commit crimes as we did in the past."

Councilor Malik said, "In addition, we will sever our ties with Hydra. From now on, we are no longer Hydra. We are elders of the Dragon God Cult."

"Looks like you had plans all along."

Wang Bert laughed and said, "Fine. Go help me develop the Dragon God Cult. By the way, where is the Teleportation Stone?"

"Blood God, it’s here."

Stephanie pushed out a huge stone. It was the other Teleportation Stone.

"Excellent."

With a wave of Wang Bert’s hand, the Teleportation Stone disappeared.

Both Teleportation Stones were now in hand. It was time for the next step.

Death Star.

Wang Bert said to the vampires, "This is the Death Star. It’s a little barren, but its greatest advantage is that it has no sun."

As Carter analyzed the data, she asked, "No sun at all? This planet has oxygen."

"It does have one, but it’s blocked by its satellite. This planet only sees the sun once every eighteen years, and each time lasts one minute."

Wang Bert smiled. "When the time comes, all the vampires can line up together to watch the sunrise."

"That joke was ice-cold."

Blade adjusted his sunglasses and asked, "Did this planet never have civilization?"

"It did. This planet once had nine major cities, but Hive destroyed them all. There is no life left now."

Wang Bert said, "This planet is very suitable for Blood Clan migration."

The vampires exchanged looks. Mercury asked, "Blood God, this planet is indeed suitable for our Blood Clan. But given the current situation, with your influence and prestige on Earth, does the Blood Clan still need to migrate?"

"It never hurts to leave yourself a way out. Who knows? Maybe one day, even Earth will be gone."

Wang Bert shrugged. He had not forgotten that the final boss of "Fantastic Four 2" was Galactus, who fed on planets.

This escape route was not only for the vampires, but also for humanity.

"Even Earth will be gone?"

Everyone was stunned. Wang Bert did not elaborate. He said, "Develop this place into a vacation resort. Nissa, you’ll be in charge. The Blood Clan Group and Osborn Corporation will allocate a large amount of funding to you."

"Me?"

Princess Nissa froze for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, Blood God."

Wang Bert smiled. "Good. Take a look around. Once you’re done, we’ll head back."

"Mm!"

Everyone nodded. It was their first time setting foot on an alien planet, so they were fairly excited—for the first half hour.

"It’s so barren. What the hell is there to see? Let’s go back."

Blade said impatiently. Everyone strongly agreed, and Wang Bert smiled as he opened a portal and brought them home.

That was right, Wang Bert could open portals in this world. It was hardly surprising. Even Dr. Strange could open portals across planets, much less Wang Bert, who possessed the Space Stone! The Death Star was merely one of Wang Bert’s contingencies. Whether it would ever be useful depended on future developments.

Leaving that aside for now, at S.W.O.R.D., Gordon was introducing something onstage with a cold expression.

That was right, it was Eyeless Gordon. After learning of Jiaying’s fate, he chose to honor Jiaying’s final wish: to follow Skye.

To humans, Jiaying was undoubtedly guilty of monstrous crimes. But to the Inhumans, Jiaying was an elder worthy of their respect.

Gordon said, "The reason humans keep turning into Inhumans is because Jiaying ground Terrigen Crystals into powder and mixed them into health supplements."

Everyone was stunned. "Health supplements?"

"That’s right. I teleported to the production facilities and added the powder."

Gordon said, "One Terrigen Crystal is enough to affect several cargo holds of health supplements. Once humans with Inhuman genes consume those supplements, they gradually awaken."

Steve had a massive headache. He asked, "This is going to be troublesome. How many batches of enhanced health supplements did you make?"

"A great many."

There was a hint of satisfaction on Gordon’s face as he said, "So many that even I can barely remember."

Steve sighed and said, "It seems the awakening of Inhumans is inevitable. We’ll try our best to recover them."

Gordon sneered. "Don’t you keep saying you want peaceful coexistence with Inhumans? Why recover those health supplements?"

"Because not everyone wants to become an Inhuman."

Steve projected several photos from his phone and said, "These people cried and begged to return to how they were before. Unfortunately, we can’t do that."

"Becoming an Inhuman is their honor."

Gordon snorted, then turned to Skye and said, "Daisy, they are your responsibility."

Skye was confused. "My responsibility? What do you mean?"

"At Afterlife, whenever an Inhuman awakened, Jiaying would stay with them and help them through the initial difficulties."

Gordon said gently, "Lincoln and I were both like that. Now that Jiaying is gone, you are an elder. You should be the one to accompany them."

"I never said I would take over as an elder!"

Skye shouted, "And I’m a newly awakened Inhuman too, okay? I need someone to take care of me right now, not to take care of others."

"Raina, Carl, and all of us old retainers will take care of you."

Gordon said, "But those newcomers have no one to care for them. Skye, I told you, they are your responsibility. You also need to prove to us that Jiaying was not wrong to choose you."

"I told you too, I never wanted to be an elder."

Skye snapped. The next moment, the surroundings shook violently. A teacup on the table fell to the floor with a crack and shattered into pieces.

Steve hurriedly said, "Skye, calm down, calm down. If you really collapse this place, are you planning to work for Bert for the rest of your life?"

Skye instantly calmed down. She said awkwardly, "I didn’t mean to."

"I know."

Steve thought for a moment and said, "Skye, S.W.O.R.D. will establish an Inhuman Management Center. I hope you can take charge of managing newly awakened Inhumans."

Skye said unhappily, "Director, why are you making me take care of new Inhumans too?"

Steve said, "Because you’re a newly awakened Inhuman yourself. You can understand them."

Skye gritted her teeth and said, "I’ll give it a try."

Steve said, "Good. Skye, take it slowly. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. If you don’t want to become an elder, no one can force you. Bert asked me to pass that message on to you."

"Thank Mr. Wang for me."

Skye completely relaxed. Gordon fell silent. No matter how bold the Inhumans were, they would not dare defy the Blood God.

During the battle on the moon, Wang Bert had merely sent out an avatar, yet he had crushed Hive and the space mothership.

Meanwhile, Raina was meeting with Queen Medusa. After hearing Medusa’s request, Raina shook her head and said, "I know who Lash is, but I won’t let him become an Inhuman."

"Why?"

Medusa said, "Only he can restore Tetanus and Crystal to normal."

"Because Lash is specifically responsible for purging Inhumans. If he appears, many Inhumans will die. Besides, he himself does not want to become Lash."

Raina said, "Queen, there’s no need to worry. Crystal and Tetanus will be fine. The Blood God will help them return to normal."

Medusa frowned and asked, "Can the Blood God really do that?"

Raina said meaningfully, "Of course he can. Queen, having the Blood God remove it will be a good thing for Crystal and for your Inhuman Kingdom."

"You mean…"

Medusa was stunned, then nodded. "I’ll go back and discuss it with Black Bolt."

After a pause, Medusa invited Raina, "Raina, would you be willing to come to the moon and assist Black Bolt? We are in great need of people right now."

"The Inhumans on Earth need me more."

Raina shook her head. "Queen, you can rest assured. The future transfer of royal power will absolutely be peaceful. Black Bolt will not be the least bit unwilling."

Medusa snorted. "I do not deny Skye’s strength, but can she really be a good king?"

"Of course she can."

Raina said with complete certainty, "Even Mr. Wang recognizes her."

Medusa’s pupils shrank slightly. She understood Raina’s meaning very well. Behind Skye stood the Blood God.

Medusa was silent for a long time before saying, "I will observe her."

Raina smiled. "You won’t be disappointed."

Kamar-Taj. Wang Bert, who had said many times that he would come visit, finally set foot on this land. Looking at Wong, who had come to welcome him, he smiled and said, "There won’t be a crowd of people waiting ahead to lecture me, will there?"

"Mr. Wang, rest assured. They won’t make trouble for themselves, and besides, you have already proven yourself."

Wong said, "Please. Master Ancient One is waiting for you."

"Let’s go."

Wang Bert followed Wong into Kamar-Taj. Ancient One and the others were waiting for him in an antique hall.

Upon seeing Ancient One, Wang Bert did not waste any words. He directly performed the disciple’s salute of Kamar-Taj. "This disciple greets Master."

"Good."

Ancient One nodded in satisfaction. Wang Bert had officially become a member of Kamar-Taj.
