Suppressing All Opposition, Inhumans Defeated

Black Bolt looked at the containment chamber and asked in confusion, "Maximus, what do you mean?"

Maximus sneered. "Don’t you think the one inside the containment chamber looks familiar?"

At his words, everyone turned toward the containment chamber. Inside stood an octopus-faced man, sneering at them. His gaze was like that of a hunter eyeing his prey.

"Hive?"

Wang Bert looked at the former Inhuman king inside the containment chamber and sneered. With a slight movement of his fingers, he projected the scene into Councilor Malik’s home.

Councilor Malik and the Hydra leaders immediately focused on the screen. Whether Hydra’s god was stronger or the Blood God was more powerful would soon be decided.

Tony scoffed. "Maximus, are you planning to scare us to death with that ugly face of his?"

"For some reason, I find him extremely unpleasant. I really, really, really want to punch him."

Steve frowned. Wang Bert smiled and said, "This is the first king of the Inhumans, and also the first human modified by the Kree."

Steve was somewhat surprised. "The first king of the Inhumans? Doesn’t that mean he’s lived for thousands of years?"

At the sight of Hive, Black Bolt and the others were filled with terror. Black Bolt frantically typed, "Maximus, have you gone mad? You actually brought Hive back?"

Medusa cried out in alarm, "Run! Hurry and run! Hive can control Inhumans!"

"What? Hive can control Inhumans?"

Everyone was stunned. Maximus grinned viciously. "Sorry, but you can’t escape."

The next moment, the containment chamber opened and Hive walked out. Then, spreading his arms, he released a huge number of parasites that looked like dust and shouted arrogantly, "Welcome your god!"

"No!"

Medusa and the others frantically retreated. Even the lunar Inhumans were terrified, backing away again and again. Maximus hurriedly shouted, "Don’t worry, he’ll only control those traitors. He won’t control you."

"This is troublesome."

Steve and the others looked rather grim. Tony blinked and shouted, "Where are the cannon fodder? We need cannon fodder right now."

Dracula fiercely gave Tony the middle finger. At that moment, everyone noticed something strange: Hive’s parasites seemed to have been circling around him the entire time. "What’s going on?"

Everyone was puzzled. Spider-Man blinked and shouted, "This is Mr. Wang’s Space Maze."

"That’s right, eighteen layers, exactly like what happened to me."

Dracula picked his nose and said, "Why the hell are you worried? With my son-in-law here, what Inhuman king? One slap and he’s done."

Lilith silently drew her blade. Everyone turned to Wang Bert, who said, "Come to think of it, I’m really a little annoyed. Someone actually compared me to these parasites. Is he worthy?"

As he spoke, Wang Bert clenched his fist. The Space Maze rapidly compressed around Hive, crushing him into a lump of mangled flesh.

Hive wanted to beg for mercy, but he could not make a sound. Maximus, Jiaying, and Malik along with the other Hydra members were all dumbfounded.

This was a complete crushing defeat. Before the Blood God, Hive was no different from an ant.

Wang Bert waved his hand, and the space inside burst into roaring flames. After one breath, nothing remained inside.

In truth, Hive had not been completely burned to death. Wang Bert had deliberately left a portion of him alive, as he was very interested in how Hive controlled Inhumans.

Inhumans controlled by Hive felt tremendous pleasure, then followed Hive with absolute devotion. This was far more powerful than the Purple Man Virus.

If he could master this method and spread it to other races, Wang Bert would be in for a good time.

Wang Bert’s eyes flickered. Based on the parasites’ principles, I should be able to create a special blood magic—Blood God Puppet Technique, or perhaps Blood God Pleasure Technique.

Leaving Wang Bert’s thoughts aside for now, Maximus and Jiaying were both despairing when they saw Hive utterly destroyed. That had been their greatest trump card!

On Earth, Councilor Malik sighed. "I always thought I was clever, but I never expected to be foolish enough to compare Hive with the Blood God.

"I’ve decided to lead the Ancient Hydra faction and submit to the Blood God."

Ancient Hydra was the Hydra faction that worshipped Hive. As for Red Skull, Pierce, and the others, they belonged to another faction.

"The Blood God’s strength is beyond doubt."

One Hydra leader said, "The problem is that the Blood God’s rules are too strict. If we submit to him, we can no longer do evil."

"That’s still better than becoming dead men."

Councilor Malik said, "Everyone, this is our last chance. If we miss it, we’ll be eliminated by this world just like the other Hydras.

"Remember, we need the Blood God. The Blood God does not need us."

The others exchanged glances, then all nodded. "We are willing to submit to the Blood God."

On the moon, Steve raised his right hand and shouted, "Those who surrender will not be killed!"

The allied forces shouted in unison. The Inhumans were terrified. Maximus roared, "Do not surrender! Inhumans will not become slaves to you humans!"

"Fight them! Even if we surrender, we’ll only become their test subjects."

Jiaying shouted as well. The Inhumans looked at one another, then gripped their weapons and roared at the human alliance. Inhumans would never be slaves.

"Attack. There’s no need to deliberately hold back."

Steve picked up his shield and gave the order loudly. The allied forces roared and charged forward with overwhelming momentum.

War erupted.

The Inhumans outnumbered the allied forces several times over, but from the very first clash, they fell into a disadvantage and were completely suppressed. This was only natural. The Inhumans had never fought a war before, and most of them were merely miners.

"Kneel and surrender."

Black Bolt let out a soft shout toward a nearby building. Sonic Wave surged forth, instantly destroying an entire building. Many Inhumans were frightened into kneeling in terror.

Medusa shouted at Gorgon, "Gorgon, force them to surrender. We absolutely cannot let too many people die."

"Understood."

Gorgon stomped hard on the ground with his hooves. The earth shook, and dozens of Inhumans were thrown to the ground.

"I love the battlefield."

Dracula grabbed an Inhuman and was about to drink his blood when a scabbard heavily smashed into him, sending him flying.

Lilith said coldly, "The Blood God has ordered that no blood may be drunk."

Dracula shouted angrily, "Then why didn’t you tell me earlier?"

Lilith said, "I forgot."

Dracula yelled, "You deliberately didn’t tell me so you’d have an excuse to hit me, didn’t you?"

"So what if I did?" Lilith sneered. "Is there a problem with that?"

"You’re my daughter. If you say it’s fine, then it’s fine."

Dracula admitted defeat and got up to attack other Inhumans.

Steve, Tony, Reed, and the other Super Heroes were also fighting. Those Inhumans with superpowers were no match for them and were defeated one after another.

After disaster after disaster, the Super Heroes had matured.

Watching the one-sided battlefield, Maximus gritted his teeth and shouted, "Korath, activate the main ship and bombard the human alliance."

Korath said, "Maximus, I think running away would be better. Have that big dog bring you to the main ship, and we’ll leave immediately. These humans are too brutal. I must report this to Ronan."

Maximus roared, "I am the king. I will not run, Korath. Activate the main ship."

"Fine, your call."

Korath snorted. The main ship, hundreds of meters long, slowly rose from behind Attilan. Then, its energy cannons swiftly adjusted their positions and prepared to fire.

At that moment, Revenge suddenly fired an energy cannon at the main ship. Though it failed to break through the main ship’s defenses, the violent tremors still startled the Kree aboard.

Korath roared. Revenge was utterly fearless, dodging as it exchanged fire with the main ship without falling behind in the slightest.

Though Revenge had less firepower than the main ship, it was more agile, and its defenses far surpassed those of the main ship.

A Vibranium hull plus an energy shield—did you think that was a joke?

Jiaying gritted her teeth, grabbed Crystal by the neck, and shouted furiously, "Black Bolt, switch sides immediately, or I’ll kill Crystal at once."

Tetanus immediately barked furiously at Jiaying. Maximus’s eyes flickered, but he did not stop her.

"This move again? Aren’t you sick of it?"

Natasha shouted, "Black Bolt, you are not allowed to switch sides! Otherwise, I’ll immediately kill all the Inhumans who surrendered. Don’t think I’m bluffing. I’m Black Widow—I mean what I say. At worst, I’ll face a court-martial afterward. I’ve got a whole group of men behind me anyway."

"So ruthless?"

Everyone was stunned. Black Bolt was at a loss, while Medusa shouted, "Maximus, surrender. Stop causing trouble."

Maximus said angrily, "A king does not surrender."

Just as Jiaying was about to say something, Crystal suddenly vanished from her grasp. Wang Bert had acted.

Seeing Crystal safe, Black Bolt, who had long found Jiaying unpleasant, immediately shouted toward her, "Jiaying!"

"Tetanus!"

Maximus shouted, and Tetanus immediately vanished with him and Jiaying.

At the same time, Crystal, whom Wang Bert had rescued, viciously stabbed a dagger toward Wang Bert’s chest.

Wang Bert used Teleportation to appear behind Crystal and knocked her unconscious with a chop to the neck. Medusa hurriedly said, "Blood God, please spare Crystal. She’s only being controlled."

Human Torch asked in confusion, "Wasn’t that parasite dead? Why is she still under control?"

"Hive’s control remains even after his death."

Medusa gave a bitter smile. "Unless we find the legendary Inhuman Whiplash, no one can remove this control."

"Inhuman Whiplash?"

Wang Bert’s eyes flickered. He opened a portal and sent Crystal through it. Medusa hurriedly asked, "Blood God, where did you send her?"

Wang Bert answered frankly, "My laboratory. I want to know exactly how Hive’s control works."

Medusa was stunned. "Blood God, you want to use Crystal as a test subject?"

"You could say that, but I promise you, she’ll be fine."

Wang Bert said. Medusa wanted to say more, but Wang Bert raised his hand toward the Kree main ship in the sky. Every Kree simultaneously felt their blood spiral out of control.

Blood Control Technique.

Korath was terrified out of his wits and hurriedly shouted, "Wait, Blood God! We surrender!"

"Surrender?"

Wang Bert’s eyes flickered. He lowered his hand and said, "Land the ship. Come out unarmed and surrender. You only get one chance."

"Alright."

Korath sighed and directed the ship to land. The Inhumans Maximus had sent to supervise him silently watched everything unfold without saying a word.

The situation was beyond saving.

Soon, the main ship landed on the ground. Then, the hatch opened, and Korath and the others filed out.

Korath respectfully said, "Honored powerhouse, I am Ronan’s subordinate. I request reasonable treatment as a prisoner."

"That can be arranged. You will be detained on Earth until the Kree Empire sends someone to ransom you."

Wang Bert said, "Also, this unprovoked invasion of Earth by the Kree Empire requires you to pay substantial war reparations."

Korath asked in shock and anger, "You want to extort the Kree Empire? Aren’t you afraid that the Kree Empire will truly declare war on Earth?"

Wang Bert glanced at Korath and waved his hand. The enormous main ship vanished instantly. Then he asked, "I didn’t hear what you just said clearly. Please say it again."

Korath swallowed and said righteously, "This time, the Kree Empire was indeed at fault. When the Kree Empire sends envoys, I will definitely have them provide substantial compensation."

"Well said."

Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction and signaled for Lilith to have people guard Korath and the others.

"It’s over. Crystal failed to assassinate him, and Korath was captured too. We’re completely finished."

Inside the royal palace, Maximus gave a bitter laugh. Four words described their current situation perfectly: total defeat.

Jiaying said, "Your Majesty, let’s escape to Earth. We’ll definitely have a chance to rise again."

Maximus turned to Tetanus. Tetanus shook his head. Maximus sighed and said, "The moon has been sealed off. We can’t teleport to Earth."

"Sealed off?"

Jiaying froze, then smiled bitterly. It seemed there truly was no way out this time.

"You should surrender."

Maximus said, "Your daughter is with the Blood God. They won’t kill you."

"Even without my daughter, they wouldn’t kill me, because they’ll definitely keep me for experiments."

Jiaying scoffed. "Who wouldn’t want immortality and eternal youth?"

Maximus was stunned. He said, "It seems having no abilities isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Jiaying, Tetanus, do as you please."

After saying that, Maximus turned and headed for a secret chamber. Then he activated the mechanism, and blazing flames erupted around the royal palace.

Maximus had deliberately prepared this in advance. He had long been ready to die with the city.

Maximus climbed to the highest point of the palace and shouted, "Inhumans, in the name of your king, I order you to surrender."

The Inhumans who were still stubbornly resisting were shocked. They turned to see Maximus standing within the burning palace.

"Maximus!"

Black Bolt was greatly alarmed and immediately wanted to save Maximus, but Medusa stopped him. "Black Bolt, Maximus is doomed. The humans won’t spare him. Rather than let him be executed, it’s better to let him die like a king."

Amid the flames, Maximus raised both hands and shouted, "Black Bolt, I am no worse than you! I was only a little short of accomplishing the Inhumans’ great cause!"

Black Bolt fell silent. He typed, "You know I never cared about the throne!"

"That is what I hate most about you."

Maximus shouted, "If there is another life, I, Maximus, will still be an Inhuman. Long live the Inhumans!"

"Well said."

Jiaying stepped out and said, "Gordon, Lincoln, Ili, and all Inhumans loyal to me, after my death, you will all pledge allegiance to my daughter, Daisy Johnson."

After saying that, Jiaying strode toward the flames. She smiled at Maximus and said, "How can a king ascend to heaven without anyone to accompany him?"

"Hahahaha."

Maximus froze for a moment, then burst into laughter. In this world, someone still acknowledged him after all.

The next moment, the flames surged into the sky, completely obscuring Jiaying and Maximus.

The Inhuman king and the Inhuman elder perished together!
