Conquering the Federal Magical World

"Secretary!"

"Lake?"

Secretary Kelly, appearing on the big screen, looked at Lake, who had connected with him and claimed to have an urgent matter to report. "What’s the emergency?"

Lake nodded from the New York Homeland Operations Center. "Yes. It’s related to the demon that appeared on Long Island last time."

Secretary Kelly said gravely, "The demon has revived?"

Actually…

Washington—or rather, the true ruling class of the Federation—knew at least something about magic, hell, demons, and wizards, even if they did not know everything.

After all, during the later stages of World War II, a scientific unit of the Third Reich, which had already descended into madness, had tried every possible method to open Hell Gate.

Hell Gate had indeed been opened, but a hell baby had emerged. The Security Council had sealed away the matter. Even though some people in London had seen that hell baby after it grew up, the information had been contained within their own borders. To outsiders, the so-called hell baby remained a matter of half-belief and half-doubt.

Lake shook his head. "No."

Secretary Kelly frowned. "Then what is it?"

Lake exchanged a nod with the Homeland agent beside him. With a whoosh, a live satellite image of the area above the Wall Street Charging Bull appeared on Secretary Kelly’s computer. "According to the investigation by Saga, a secret agent of the Supervisory Bureau, we’ve finally confirmed that this incident was caused by the Federal Magic World colluding with hell and nearly bringing hell into the human world."

"The Magic World?"

"Yes."

"The people of the Magic World made a contract with hell. They intended to bring hell down upon Earth, and in return, the demon lord of hell, Mephisto, would grant these wizards who betrayed Earth a chance at immortality."

"Wow…"

Secretary Kelly was utterly stunned. "That’s a lot of information to take in at once. So, as the director of the Supervisory Bureau, what do you plan to do?"

Lake’s gaze turned icy. "They betrayed humanity and betrayed Earth. Kill them!"

I’m not only going to wipe you out physically. I’ll also destroy you completely in mind and soul. You thought I was easier to bully than hell, didn’t you?

Fine. Then I’ll send you to hell.

Secretary Kelly pondered for a second or two. "I’ll tell the President about this. You need to report the matter to Mr. President personally. How long will it take you to reach Washington?"

"Two hours."

"Good. Set out as soon as possible!"

"Yes."

On Wall Street.

Under the bombardment of the Lightning Light Speed Fist, thunderous explosions rang out without pause. Waves of golden fists slammed into the magical barrier, sending ripples across it again and again. It seemed as though an entrance to another world had begun to flicker precariously.

"Ah!"

"Hold it!"

"Quick, go get…"

Listening to the voices behind the magical barrier, Lake gave a chilling smile. You’re planning to call for reinforcements? Who’s going to help you? Are you going to ask Buddha from the West?

Even if Buddha came, he couldn’t extinguish my killing intent toward you.

I didn’t provoke you, yet you came looking for me?

You brought this death upon yourselves. Don’t blame anyone else.

"Burst forth, my Cosmo!!!"

Lake roared, instantly pushing his Cosmo to its limit.

Crack!

A sharp sound suddenly rang out. Immediately afterward, the barrier split apart like a spiderweb.

The next second.

Boom!

Lake looked at the entrance he had blasted open. As he shot inside, he activated Dragonfly Captain.

Today…

Not one of you is getting away.

I’ll take on all of you by myself.

If this had been the London Magic Dimension, Lake might not have had the nerve to challenge so many people alone. But the Federal Magic World was different. These were a bunch of scum who had sold their souls to Mephisto for a longer lifespan. Forget a group of them—even if an entire planet came, Lake would fear nothing.

Because they had already lost their courage!

Rumble!

The instant Lake entered the world of the Federal Magic Dimension, all kinds of magic blasted toward him from every direction.

"Heh!"

"Pathetic tricks!"

Whoosh!

Lake teleported away in an instant. With a whoosh, he vanished from his original position and appeared high above the Magic Dimension. He clasped his hands together, then aimed them at the wizards below, who had gathered together after selling their souls in exchange for long life.

His voice was icy!

"Galaxy!"

"Star Explosion!!!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"Ah!"

"Pff! Pff! Pff!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

A colossal scene of countless stars shattering instantly filled Lake’s field of vision. One arrogant wizard after another turned to ash beneath the dazzling golden light. Even the crystal-wall barrier of the Magic Dimension let out unbearable creaking sounds under the ultimate secret technique of the Gemini Gold Saint.

It seemed that if the power increased even slightly, this Magic Dimension would collapse outright.

Whoosh!

Boom!

Lake appeared directly on the ground and punched toward the wizards who were scattered about and still emerging from the castle one after another.

Lightning Light Speed Fist!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The countless fist shadows swept in every direction like a curtain of heavy rain. Beneath the golden barrage, one wizard after another was blasted into the air, sent soaring as the fists continued to hammer them.

Boom!

The Gemini Cloth on Lake’s body began to disassemble. At the same time, the wizards soaring through the air crashed down one after another like dumplings falling in the rain, smashing into the pit below. Barely one in a hundred remained alive.

With a whoosh.

Lake opened his eyes again and put away his Cloth Token. In his sea of consciousness, the Force Seed greedily devoured the boundless fear, shock, and despair surrounding him.

After absorbing them, the Force Seed rapidly fed the energy back into Lake’s Cosmo, causing the nearly depleted Cosmo to begin rotating again and quickly return toward its peak condition.

Crack!

"Ah!"

Lake’s leather shoe came down with a boom on the waist of a wizard who had luckily survived, shattering his spine. Looking toward the towering Magic Council in the distance, Lake said coldly, "Weren’t you looking for me? I’m here. Are you ready?"

Eleven white-bearded men with ashen faces emerged from the Magic Council.

What greeted their eyes was pockmarked ground, a dimension crying out under unbearable strain, and corpses covering the earth. The sight left the eleven former Auror elders so shocked that their white beards trembled violently.

"How dare you…"

Boom!

Pfft!

Lake instantly appeared before the white-bearded man who had spoken. With one punch, he sent him turning to ash. "How dare I? When you plotted against me, why didn’t you ask yourselves how you dared?"

They were allowed to scheme against others, but others were not allowed to retaliate fairly?

What kind of logic was that?

Oh, they were Federation people. Then it made sense.

Just as Londoners often mocked Federation people as the descendants of bandits and thieves, most of the wizards in the Federal Magic World had originally been expelled from the London Magic World.

These people had violated the laws of the London Magic World, but their crimes had not been serious enough to warrant imprisonment in Azkaban. At the same time, they were not minor enough to be ignored.

So…

Back then, these criminal wizards had been driven onto Federal soil. Like ordinary people, they had multiplied and lived there, eventually becoming the Federal Magic World of today.

For all Lake knew, some of the ten remaining men might have committed crimes back then.

"Wait!"

"Wait your ass!"

Lake shouted and flashed before the white-bearded man who had just run ten meters away. He punched out, sending that white-bearded man to hell once again.

Saints were not wizards. They were not warriors. But they were all of those things.

These white-bearded men were different. No matter how accomplished they were in magic, once a warrior got close to them, they might not even be able to cast a Fireball Spell, much less a forbidden spell.

Boom!

Lake showed no emotion as he turned toward the next one.

As he had said, spouting grand words was a privilege of villains. Lake preferred to wait until all his enemies were dead before saying whatever he wanted—even if he had to say it to their corpses.

"I’ll kill you!"

"Ah!"

Boom!

Lake rose into the air and viciously kicked with his right foot. The white-bearded man followed the others before him and turned to ash.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Sss!

"…"

Lake’s body stiffened slightly. He turned and stared at a white-bearded man who had finally drawn his wand.

Sss!

Sss!

Wave after wave of Killing Curses slammed into Lake as the white-bearded man shouted furiously, "Die, you damned demon! Go to—"

Whoosh!

"Urgh!!"

"Demon?"

Lake instantly appeared before the white-bearded man. He grabbed him with his right hand, the corner of his mouth curving upward. With one slap, he sent away the helmet that was about to be armed onto his head again, then watched with interest as the man’s face gradually flushed red.

"If I’m a demon, then what do you call a bunch of people who sold their souls to hell? The walking dead?"

There was only one way to gain exemption from death in hell: sign a Soul Contract with Mephisto. Only then would Mephisto spare you from death.

Therefore, there was nothing wrong with saying that these wizards had sold their souls to hell!

Boom!

After saying this, Lake ignored the desperate look in the man’s eyes and clenched his right hand hard. In an instant, the man vanished into ash.

My killing intent is already burning. I even dared to kill anyone who plotted against my girlfriend. What the hell do you people think you are?

After saying that.

Lake looked toward the remaining people. Seeing that they could not escape the arena set up by Dragonfly Captain, they exchanged glances before frantically flying their broomsticks toward the same spot in the dimension.

Their speed was incredible.

But.

They were still not faster than Lake!

Lake slowly closed his eyes. With a thought, he vanished from his original position with a whoosh.

With the support of the Gemini Gold Cloth, once again armed by his replenished Cosmo, Lake instantly teleported before the five remaining white-bearded men.

Lake expressionlessly stared at the five white-bearded men clustered around something resembling a control console. "This ends here!"

One white-bearded man shouted, "Stop, or we’ll destroy the core of the dimension!"

Lake raised an eyebrow. "…"
