Control

"Broad?"

That word instantly sent Captain Marvel into a rage. What she hated most was men looking down on women. With an angry roar, the faint phantoms of two planets appeared behind her.

One of those planetary phantoms was Earth, while the other was the Kree Empire’s homeworld. This was Captain Marvel’s Binary Form, and also her strongest killer move.

Watching the light around Captain Marvel grow increasingly brilliant, Cull Obsidian could not help swallowing. It seemed he had caused a huge disaster. He was finished.

"I won’t die here. I’m Cull Obsidian, the one with the strongest defense."

Cull Obsidian let out a low roar. The muscles across his body rapidly solidified, becoming like layers of tough shells and giving off a mountain-like sense of weight.

"Die."

Captain Marvel did not waste words. She pressed both hands downward, and a dazzling beam over two meters thick crashed down toward Cull Obsidian. The void shattered under its force. Unable to dodge, Cull Obsidian could only grit his teeth and withstand the beam head-on.

Boom, boom, boom! Under the beam’s bombardment, the ground continuously sank. More than ten seconds later, the beam vanished, and Cull Obsidian was no more. Only a massive pit dozens of meters deep remained.

Captain Marvel snorted, withdrew her Binary Form, and slowly descended from the air. Dare to look down on women? This was the price.

"Master was right. I still have tremendous potential. This is only the beginning."

Captain Marvel clenched her fists and muttered, "One day, I’ll become a Creator God like Master and Thanos. I, Carol, will not be weaker than anyone."

With Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian dying one after another, Thanos’s expression turned rather grim. He fiercely punched the Space Cage before him. The Black Order might only be his dogs, but killing his dogs right in front of him—did they really think a Creator God like him was harmless? Tony and Dr. Banner continued fighting Proxima Midnight as before. Seeing Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian die one after another, Proxima Midnight’s rage reached its peak.

"I’ll make you pay."

Proxima Midnight shouted and continuously thrust her spear at Dr. Banner. Knowing there was something wrong with the spear, Dr. Banner hurriedly dodged.

Tony raised a hand and fired lasers at Proxima Midnight. She twisted aside to evade them, then thrust through the air. Three streaks of spear-light flew toward Tony at once. Tony hurriedly dodged, but the three streaks suddenly curved and continued shooting at him.

The next second, all three streaks struck Tony. Tony vanished like ripples on water. Immediately afterward, Tony appeared above Proxima Midnight with a Freezing Gun in hand, firing a ray at her right hand.

The freezing ray was too fast for Proxima Midnight to evade. Her right hand and spear were both frozen by the ray. Tony said smugly, "This is the Freezing Gun I just came up with. Feels pretty good, doesn’t it?"

"You just developed it?"

Proxima Midnight was somewhat surprised. Then she smiled disdainfully and prepared to shatter the ice around her right hand. At that moment, Dr. Banner rushed over and violently tackled her to the ground.

Before Proxima Midnight could react, Tony descended from the sky and cut off her right hand with one slash, then snatched away her spear.

"Bert once told me a fable about a spear and a shield. I want to ask you something: can this deadly spear kill an Abomination like you, one that can keep regenerating?"

Tony raised the deadly spear still carrying her hand and asked with a smile. Proxima Midnight’s expression changed drastically. She struggled with all her strength, trying to shove Dr. Banner off her.

Dr. Banner did everything he could to restrain Proxima Midnight while roaring, "Abomination must die! Tony, don’t waste time."

"Die."

Tony stopped talking and viciously drove the spear into Proxima Midnight’s head. Her head instantly lost all life, shriveling like fruit deprived of water.

But Proxima Midnight was not dead. Her head regenerated rapidly. Tony snorted and repeatedly thrust the spear downward, destroying Proxima Midnight’s body piece by piece.

In the end, Proxima Midnight lost all signs of life and was declared dead. After carefully scanning her, Tony nodded. "She’s completely dead. This spear is pretty good. From now on, it’ll be called Tony’s Spear."

Dr. Banner rolled his eyes. "No matter which world it is, Tony Stark is equally shameless."

"You’re slandering me, you know that?"

Tony looked at Proxima Midnight’s shriveled corpse and said, "She was a good opponent. Unfortunately, she made one mistake."

Dr. Banner asked, "What mistake?"

"She forgot to encrypt her weapon so no one else could use it."

Tony removed the right hand from the spear and said, "It’s as bad as a phone without a lock screen password."

"Your thought process is always so bizarre."

Dr. Banner was speechless. Too lazy to bother with Tony, he got up and went to help the others deal with the Deviant Machines. Tony shrugged and followed.

At that moment, Tony saw Star-Lord knocked to the ground by a Deviant Machine. He hurried over and blasted the Deviant Machine away with a Pulse Cannon. Then he said to Star-Lord, "Do you know why you’re so weak? Because you only have half Earth blood."

Star-Lord waved his Energy Gun and shouted unhappily, "It’s just that my weapon isn’t suited for me. If I had a good weapon, like the one in your hand, these monsters would never be my match."

"Sorry, this is my trophy."

Tony smugly spun the spear, then turned to deal with the other Deviant Machines. Just then, Star-Lord behind him turned cold-eyed and aimed his Energy Gun at Tony’s back.

The next moment, Star-Lord pulled the trigger. An energy ray shot out with a whistle and instantly pierced through Tony’s back. Tony looked utterly incredulous. Why was Star-Lord ambushing him? And why could his gun pierce Tony’s Nanotech Armor? Tony wanted to turn around and question Star-Lord, only to discover that he could not move. More precisely, he could not control his body, as if something had separated his consciousness from it.

"Because the gun contains my Mind Power."

Star-Lord grinned and prepared to shoot Tony full of holes. At that moment, a castle shrouded in black mist fell from the sky, smashing down toward Star-Lord and Tony.

"Fuck."

Star-Lord cursed and hurriedly dodged. Though Tony could not control his armor, Friday automatically evaded. The next moment, with a boom, the castle slammed heavily into the ground, making the entire earth tremble.

Sylvie cursed loudly, "Blood God, do you even know how to drive a castle? I almost got thrown to my death."

"I’m not the one driving it. Alioth is driving it, okay?"

Wang Bert replied irritably. Then he flew out of the castle, removing Tony’s mental paralysis as he sneered, "Tony, you’re still the same as before. You can’t stay cool for more than three seconds."

Tony returned to normal and could not help sighing in relief. As he entered a high-temperature state to repair his body, he asked unhappily, "You’re finally back. What exactly happened? Why did Star-Lord ambush me?"

"Because he’s being controlled by Supergiant. Am I right, Supergiant?"

Wang Bert turned to Star-Lord and asked coldly. Star-Lord—or rather, Supergiant—said arrogantly, "So what if I am? I’m inside this idiot’s body. I’m invincible by nature. What can you do to me?"

Tony flew over to Wang Bert’s side and said in surprise, "When did Star-Lord get controlled? Also, let me add that he really is an idiot."

"Not only is he controlled, there are also two old acquaintances over there."

Wang Bert pointed at two Dora Milaje members on the right. The mental projections around them vanished at the same time, revealing their original appearances: Gamora and Nebula.

"You were fakes?"

Black Panther was startled. Good thing he had not messed around with the Dora Milaje, or he would not even know how he died.

Seeing another version of herself, Nebula from the Future Universe was both shocked and relieved. Fortunately, she had modified the Chip in her brain. Otherwise, she would definitely have connected with that Nebula.

Nebula had watched "Avengers: Endgame," so she had naturally taken precautions against this sort of thing. In fact, Evil Nebula had initially wanted to replace Good Nebula, but after discovering that the other had made many preparations, she changed her mind.

"Wow, Thanos, you really do like keeping the whole family together. Not one missing."

Tony mocked, "If I’m not mistaken, you must have used Gamora to lure away that idiot Star-Lord, then secretly controlled him, right?"

Green-skinned Gamora sneered disdainfully. "So what if we did? That idiot even wanted to kiss me. He should take a look at himself first."

Tony laughed. "I’m recording that. I’ll play it for Star-Lord someday."

"He’s listening right now, but his skin is thick enough that he probably won’t care. Tony, go deal with Ultron. Black Panther and Black Widow, Gamora and Nebula are yours."

Wang Bert said, "Sylvie, you and that bunch of Lokis come out and deal with Supergiant. Remember, you must make sure Star-Lord stays alive."

Sylvie led Teen Loki, Old Loki, Black Loki, Alligator Loki, and a group of other Lokis out of the castle. She asked unhappily, "Why should I listen to you?"

"Because I saved your life, girl."

Wang Bert said, "They’re yours. I’m going to have a chat with Thanos."

After saying that, Wang Bert ignored Supergiant and flew toward Thanos in the sky. As the Super Heroes’ boss, he should leave elite monsters like this to the Super Heroes.

Tony did not immediately make a move. Looking at the group of Lokis, he asked curiously, "Are you all Loki?"

Old Loki replied, "Yes, we are the legendary Loki, though there are a few too many of us."

President Loki said, "Iron Man, interested in working for me? I’m the President of America!"

Black Loki held a hammer and said coolly, "Iron Man, I once killed you."

Teen Loki said arrogantly, "Foolish mortal."

Tony looked completely bewildered. These Lokis certainly had personality.

The real Loki rolled his eyes nearby. Was Blood God crazy? He had actually brought this bunch of Lokis back? There would be plenty of trouble ahead.

Thor’s eyelids twitched as well. One Loki had already turned his life upside down. Did having so many Lokis mean he would never know peace again? "Enough nonsense. Hurry up and deal with that Supergiant."

Sylvie said impatiently. The Lokis shrugged and stepped forward to surround Star-Lord. Though Tony really wanted to stay and watch the show, after some thought, he turned and went to deal with Ultron.

Although she was surrounded by a group of Lokis, Supergiant remained fearless. She said, "Be careful. Don’t damage this body. Blood God just ordered you to make sure Star-Lord doesn’t die."

"Not a problem. At worst, we run away. Lokis run away all the time."

Old Loki raised both hands. Countless building projections as lifelike as the real thing appeared around them, while all the Lokis vanished.

President Loki’s voice sounded from somewhere in a corner. "I’m not running away. I’m going back to Earth to be president again."

"Shut up. We’ll sneak up beside him, pin him down, then strip off his clothes…"

Another Loki said lecherously, "I like this type."

A whole bunch of Lokis cursed at once, "Fuck."

Both Star-Lord and Supergiant felt chills run down their spines. This opponent seemed especially troublesome.

"Asgard!"

Thor stared at the familiar Asgardian buildings over there, his expression briefly dazed. Then he shook his head and snorted at Corvus Glaive. "You’re the only one left now. Feeling a lot of pressure?"

Corvus Glaive’s expression turned somewhat ugly. He said, "So the prince of Asgard can’t even count. Me, Supergiant, Gamora, and Nebula—that’s four people, not one."

Loki shouted, "Isn’t it common knowledge that Asgard’s eldest prince can’t count?"

The group of Lokis burst into laughter. Teen Loki said, "Why is Thor in this universe so fat? Then again, being fat has its benefits. If the Thor I killed had been this fat, he probably wouldn’t have died."

"Shut up."

Thor’s face darkened somewhat. He had a feeling there would be no end to his troubles in the future. He said, "Corvus Glaive, enough nonsense. Please go die."

"Just you?"

Corvus Glaive smiled disdainfully and abandoned all defense as he charged at Thor. Thor snorted, swung his massive axe, and slashed viciously at the spear with a pitch-black spatial crack trailing behind it.

Corvus Glaive’s expression changed dramatically, but he had no time to alter his move. The next moment, Stormbreaker struck the spear heavily, snapping it cleanly in half.

Corvus Glaive did not die. He controlled the two halves of the spear and prepared to escape. Seeing this, Thor unleashed lightning across his body, transforming it into a massive sphere of lightning that enveloped both halves.

When the lightning sphere vanished, Corvus Glaive and his spear had both been reduced to nothingness.

"You called me Thunderball. Now do you know how terrifying Thunderball is?"

Thor snorted, feeling rather displeased. Old Tony had escaped, so he would definitely have to keep acting, pretending to be a fat brute. When would his perfect muscles finally earn gasps and praise from others? Of course, Thor had matured. Though unhappy, he would continue acting—he had kept it up for so long already. If he stopped now, would all his previous effort and hard work not have been wasted?

Standing outside the Space Cage, Wang Bert said to Thanos, "Thanos, most of your subordinates are dead."

"What does it matter?"

As Thanos attacked the Space Cage, he said, "As long as I don’t die, I can have as many members of the Black Order as I want. For someone as powerful as me, only one’s own strength truly matters."

"Exactly. Power belongs to oneself."

Wang Bert nodded. "Don’t be fooled by how lively the fighting below is. The real key is the battle between you and me. Only if I defeat you will their battles have meaning. If I lose, they’ll all die by your hand."
