Destroyer Descends

"Why would a mere Earth have such a powerful warrior?"

The Frost Giant commander, along with Loki spying from Asgard, was left dumbfounded. This was completely beyond their imagination!

"Come with me and stop him!"

Gritting his teeth, the Frost Giant commander led a group of Frost Giants charging forward. Seeing this, Wang Bert immediately switched targets to them!

"Create an iceberg!"

Seeing the blaze change direction, the Frost Giant commander immediately gathered everyone’s strength and condensed a spiked iceberg!

This human was indeed formidable, but he had weaknesses too. He could not change direction so easily!

"Why would I need to change direction?"

Wang Bert flashed a savage grin and smashed straight through the iceberg, bursting out from behind the Frost Giant commander and the others! The Frost Giant commander turned around in disbelief, then, like the others, was split in two and fell to the ground wailing! At the same time, the iceberg melted rapidly into Water Vapor! "That’s all you’ve got!"

Wang Bert laughed loudly and controlled Red Dragon Horse to relentlessly pursue the Frost Giants. The Frost Giants completely broke down. Everyone was fleeing, and no one dared fight back! "Wipe them out! Don’t let them escape!"

Coulson hurriedly shouted. The agents eagerly agreed. With such a powerful warrior fighting alongside them, what were Frost Giants worth? Just then, an agent monitoring the surroundings with a computer suddenly yelled, "Sir, a powerful energy source is descending!"

Before the agent could finish speaking, a seven-colored beam of light descended from the sky and struck the direction in which the Frost Giants were fleeing!

Thor was stunned for a moment, then turned and excitedly shouted to Jane, "Jane, this is Asgard’s Bifrost!"

"This is the Bifrost? An Einstein-Rosen bridge?"

Jane’s eyes lit up. She hurried to the computer to calculate the data. At that moment, the seven-colored light vanished, and four figures appeared on the ground. They were Thor’s subordinates: the Warriors Three and the goddess Sif! "Thor, we came to help you kill the Frost Giants!"

The fat, bearded Volstagg roared and chopped down a Frost Giant with one swing of his axe. The other three greeted Thor as they joined the battle! "You came!"

Thor was overjoyed. He grabbed a weapon and charged out, leaving Coulson with no time to stop him. He could not help shaking his head. This prince really was reckless!

Tony scoffed unhappily. "You people sure are efficient. You’re about the same as American police."

Everyone snickered. Who did not know that the police always arrived after everything was over? They still came down. What a pain! Seeing Thor’s subordinates appear, Wang Bert frowned and controlled Red Dragon Horse back to the farm. Then he dismissed the flames, dismounted, and said to Coulson, "Coulson, prepare for a decisive battle. Also, send all the agents to evacuate the townspeople!"

Coulson did not understand. "Mr. Wang, haven’t we already won?"

Wang Bert pointed at the Warriors Three and Sif. "The four of them did not bring victory. They brought destruction!"

After saying that, Wang Bert did not explain further to Coulson. He shouted at Frank and the others, "Frank, come back and reload. Tony, War Machine, Peacemaker, you all need to regroup immediately too."

"Alright!"

Frank and Tony had no objections, but Rhodey and Rumlow hesitated somewhat. Coulson shouted, "Follow Mr. Wang’s orders!"

"Alright!"

The two agreed and quickly returned to regroup. Wang Bert took out his phone and called Ivan. "Have you arrived?"

"I think you two should just get together already!"

Wang Bert hung up irritably. At the same time, Thor reunited with the Warriors Three and Sif. Sif got straight to the point. "Thor, we came to take you back to Asgard!"

Thor said despondently, "I can’t go back. I got Father killed!"

Sif was stunned. "What did you say? When did the Allfather die?"

Thor froze. Even with his limited brain capacity, he realized something was wrong!

Just then, another seven-colored beam descended from the sky. Someone else had come from Asgard, and the landing point was the center of town!

"Kill Thor. Kill those humans who dare help Thor."

Loki shouted with a crazed expression. The guardian Heimdall stood beside him, but he had been frozen in ice!

"The enemy is here!"

Wang Bert and the others hurried toward the landing point of the seven-colored beam. Soon, the seven-colored light faded, and the Destroyer Armor, forged from Uru Metal and divine power and standing over five meters tall, appeared before them! "This is bad!"

Everyone’s hearts sank. There were still people at the Destroyer Armor’s landing site who had not been evacuated and were getting into their cars.

Upon seeing its targets, the Destroyer Armor immediately opened its faceplate. Flames surged within, then a high-temperature beam as thick as a water bucket erupted from its face, instantly destroying a car. Everyone inside was reduced to ash! It was not over yet. The Destroyer Armor turned its head, sweeping the high-temperature beam across the area. Cars exploded one after another, and countless townspeople died miserably! "Damn it!"

Everyone was enraged. Tony directly launched Micro Missiles at the Destroyer. The Destroyer did not evade. The missiles exploded against it with a boom, but once the flames and black smoke cleared, everyone’s expressions changed. The Destroyer was completely unharmed! The Destroyer turned and fired a high-temperature beam at Tony. Tony hurriedly dodged. The beam struck the house behind him, blasting straight through it and igniting raging flames along the edges! Frank shouted, "We can’t fight here! There’ll be massive casualties!"

After thinking for a moment, Wang Bert flew back, grabbed Thor as he ran in their direction, and shouted, "Thor, I’ll take you somewhere safe!"

Naturally, Loki would not allow Thor to escape. He immediately ordered the Destroyer Armor to stomp after them, and everyone else hurried to follow! Looking at the town turned into a sea of fire, Coulson clenched his fists so tightly they nearly bled, then quickly directed the agents to rescue people!

"Bert, put me down. You can’t defeat the Destroyer Armor. If Loki truly wants to kill me, then let him kill me. I can’t drag you into this!"

Thor shouted in agony and self-reproach. The Warriors Three and Sif, following behind, were deeply shocked. Thor actually blamed himself so much for mortals? This was completely unlike his former behavior!

In the past, Thor had never cared how many people died for the sake of victory, let alone mortals! They did not know that Thor had already learned what responsibility meant!

"We’ll fight first and talk later. As for your brother Loki, I’ll definitely settle this score with him!"

Wang Bert said through gritted teeth. He had deliberately chosen the farm as the battlefield to avoid casualties, but he had never expected Loki to be so utterly deranged as to order the Destroyer Armor to kill without mercy!

That guy with the absurdly high hairline really was infuriating! Thor wanted to say something else, but once Wang Bert saw they were far enough away, he threw him to the ground and turned to shout at Tony and the others, "Stall for a little longer. My trump card will arrive soon!"

"Iron Man is only good enough to stall for time?"

Tony was deeply dissatisfied, as were the Warriors Three and Sif. They directly turned and engaged the Destroyer Armor! The first to charge was the bearded Volstagg. He leaped high into the air and swung his axe down at the Destroyer. The Destroyer punched backhandedly, sending him flying.

The other two warriors were furious and charged forward together, but they were soon sent flying just like Volstagg.

"Asgard is nothing special either!"

Tony sneered disdainfully. He rushed forward and activated the chest-mounted repulsor cannon. Even the Destroyer was blasted backward again and again!

But that was all. The Destroyer Armor soon steadied itself, then opened its faceplate and fired a high-temperature beam at Tony.

Tony hurriedly dodged. Seeing this, Frank immediately fired several missiles at the Destroyer Armor’s head! The Destroyer Armor switched its target to Frank. Frank dodged while firing wildly. War Machine and Peacemaker joined the battle as well, working together to hold back the giant.

"Looks like Earth has warriors too!"

Seeing this, the Warriors Three climbed up and joined the battle. Sif wanted to fight as well, but after looking at Thor, she chose to stay by his side.

At that moment, several F-22 fighter jets suddenly flew in from the sky. Military reinforcements had arrived. In fact, the White House and the military had been watching this battle from the beginning. After all, this was an alien invasion! "Destroy it!"

The general in charge of the operation gave the order. The fighter jets fired missiles one after another. Because Tony and the others were tying it down, the Destroyer Armor could not evade and was struck by several missiles in succession!

Cheers erupted at the command center, but it soon proved they had celebrated too early. A thick high-temperature beam erupted from the blaze, instantly blowing up a fighter jet.

Next, the massive body of the Destroyer Armor slowly emerged from the flames. As it walked, it fired another high-temperature beam at a different fighter jet. The jet tried desperately to evade, but its left wing was still destroyed, and it spiraled toward the ground! The pilot immediately ejected from the cockpit, and the fighter jet crashed into the ground with a boom and exploded.

"Damn it! The remaining fighters, leave the battlefield and hunt down those fleeing Frost Giants!"

The general slammed his fist down on the table. Fighter jets were not agile enough to avoid the Destroyer’s attacks at all!

Many high-ranking officials watching the battle secretly thought, It looks like powered armor will rule the future. We need to increase investment.

When all the fighters flew away, Tony complained, "What were they here for? Sightseeing?"

"Tony, focus on the battle!"

As Rhodey spoke, he sprayed the Destroyer with machine-gun fire, hoping to draw its attention! Tony shouted unhappily at Wang Bert, "Hey, Bert, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and grab that eighty-one-pound spear of yours and join the fight!"

"I’m waiting for Ivan."

Wang Bert said, while having Coulson and the others bring over the crate containing the Vibranium Spear!

Tony scoffed. "Ivan? What use is he? He’s not even as good as me!"

"You’re the sissy. Don’t assume everyone else is one too!"

Ivan’s mocking voice came from the sky. Immediately afterward, a massive black shadow descended, crashing onto the ground with a boom and kicking up clouds of dust! Everyone turned to look and drew sharp breaths. It was a giant suit of armor over three meters tall, holding a shield in its left hand and an axe in its right. It looked as savage as could be!

Even more shocking, the giant armor had six Arc Reactors on it. Tony could not help shouting, "You lunatic, do you have a death wish? Six Arc Reactors! Once they start up, you’ll turn into ground meat!"

Ivan descended in his armor, sneering. "Idiot, I’m out here. I’m not the one inside!"

Tony froze, then asked, "Then who’s inside?"

"Abomination!"

Ivan grinned. "Sissy, now I’ll show you what a real man is. War Abomination, attack!"

"Kill!"

War Abomination let out a roar and charged at the Destroyer Armor with booming steps. Sensing the threat, the Destroyer Armor turned around and fired a high-temperature beam at Abomination! Abomination raised his massive shield to block it. Although he was pushed backward, sliding across the ground, the high-temperature beam could not break through the shield’s defense. It was blocked!

"A Vibranium shield? Just how much Vibranium do you have?"

Tony said sourly. He had once tried to buy Vibranium on the black market, only to discover that the seller had vanished. He now deeply suspected that Wang Bert had robbed the man.

Wang Bert waved him away as if swatting flies. "Poor people who can’t afford Vibranium, get out of the way. Don’t ruin my view of the fight!"

"Poor people?"

This was the first time in Tony’s life that anyone had called him that. He gritted his teeth in fury and swore that one day, he would return that title to that bastard! While Wang Bert and Tony spoke, War Abomination used the armor’s thrust to force himself to a stop. After catching his breath, he turned aside to evade the high-temperature beam, then leaped forcefully toward the Destroyer! The Destroyer raised its head to fire another high-temperature beam, but War Abomination hurled the shield in his left hand at its head. With a clang, the Destroyer’s head was knocked aside, preventing it from attacking! Seizing the chance, War Abomination raised his axe with both hands and chopped down hard at the Destroyer’s chest. Even the Destroyer Armor was forcibly cut open, flames flashing wildly inside!

"We did it!"

Everyone was overjoyed, but the Destroyer Armor casually slammed a heavy punch into War Abomination’s head, knocking him to the ground with a boom.

Even more astonishingly, as flames flickered, the Uru Metal split open at the Destroyer’s chest rapidly healed.

"This armor can heal itself?"

Wang Bert was somewhat surprised. It did not have that ability in the movie!

War Abomination rolled aside to evade the Destroyer’s massive foot, climbed up from the ground, and swung his axe at the Destroyer Armor once more. The Destroyer Armor lowered its head to fire a high-temperature beam, but a missile launched from War Abomination’s shoulder and exploded against the Destroyer’s face.

The armor Ivan designed naturally did not only have melee capabilities!

Taking advantage of the opportunity, War Abomination chopped heavily at the Destroyer’s shoulder, intending to sever its entire arm!

War Abomination’s idea was good, but it still failed. After the axe broke through the Uru Metal, it met a powerful repulsive force and could not cut any farther!

By then, the Destroyer had recovered. Its massive fist smashed fiercely toward War Abomination. War Abomination released the axe and fell backward, then activated the thrusters and slammed both feet straight into the Destroyer’s shin!

The Destroyer crashed to the ground. War Abomination sprang up, mounted it, and began pummeling it viciously.
