Devouring the Dragon God

As the cave-shaped device rotated, a powerful suction force was generated. Even the Gargoyle Lord could not escape and was forcibly sucked onto the device.

This was a super move Doom had created by combining black hole technology and magic, called Infinite Suction.

"You think this can kill me?"

The Gargoyle Lord roared as he struggled with all his might. Doom smiled slightly and said, "Of course not. This is only to trap you. Other methods will kill you."

As he spoke, Doom continued casting. The device’s suction suddenly surged, and the surrounding cockroaches, dirt, and stones all flew toward it. In a short time, it became a massive ball of earth.

Then Doom raised both hands, and the earthen ball shot rapidly into the sky.

When the ball reached an altitude of over ten thousand meters, Doom clenched his right hand. The ball exploded with a thunderous boom, and a white light as dazzling as the sun appeared in the sky.

Immediately afterward, a mushroom cloud rose into the air. At the same time, a terrifying shockwave swept through the surroundings, nearly shattering the entire Mirror Dimension.

"Damn it, Doom, you actually set off a nuclear bomb?"

Banner’s expression appeared on Hulk’s face as he dodged the dirt. He cursed, "When did Bert teach you to go bad?"

"I modified this nuclear bomb with magic, so it doesn’t have much radiation."

Doom said, "I swiped this nuke from Bert. Its power is a little lower than I expected. Looks like I should buy Russian nuclear bombs after all. America’s are clearly no good."

Banner complained, "Swiped? So this is what you’re like, Doom."

Doom shrugged and said, "How can you understand the essence of explosions without personally setting off a nuclear bomb?"

Just as Banner was about to say something, Hulk shouted at Doom, "Watch out! Thing is still alive. The Gargoyle Lord isn’t dead."

Before Hulk finished speaking, a massive rock scraped violently through the air like a meteorite, trailing a long tail of light as it crashed toward Doom and Banner.

Doom and Hulk’s expressions changed drastically, and they hurriedly fled to the side. The next moment, with a boom, the earth shook, and dirt rolled outward like waves. Doom and Banner were both blasted away, tumbling continuously across the ground.

A moment later, everything settled down. Dragging his battered body, the Gargoyle Lord emerged from the crater and grinned viciously. "You truly exceeded my expectations, but unfortunately, you still can’t kill me."

As he spoke, the Gargoyle Lord’s body healed at a visible rate—he could absorb the power of the earth to repair himself. To defeat him, they had to destroy his core.

Hulk and Doom climbed to their feet. Though they looked disheveled, neither was seriously injured.

Hulk could regenerate endlessly, while Doom possessed a body of steel, though he rarely used that ability.

"Is a Demon King really this strong?"

Banner’s expression appeared on Hulk’s face again. He said, "I never expected the gap between us and Bert to be this huge."

"Normal. Bert has already entered the god-tier, while we aren’t even demigods yet. We have a long way to go."

Doom shook his head unconcernedly and said, "In fact, that’s why I wanted to challenge the Demon King. I don’t want to keep getting left behind by Bert."

"Hulk doesn’t either," Hulk called out deeply.

Doom smiled. "Once you understand what you’re fighting for, you’ve already stepped onto the threshold of the god-tier, just like me."

"You do have great potential, but unfortunately, you have no future. Because today, you will definitely die here."

The Gargoyle Lord grinned viciously. At the same time, one Mud Giant after another climbed to its feet beside him.

"Someone like you still can’t kill Doom."

Doom sneered and spun his hands. Portals appeared one after another, and Ivan, Frank, Skye, Electro, Absorbing Man, and other Super Heroes filed through.

Ivan, who had replaced two new arc reactors, said, "Doom, you should have let us come over sooner. I really want to see how strong a Demon King is."

"That’s right, you should have let us in earlier."

The others nodded as well. Godslaying was something they had dreamed of.

Though the Gargoyle Lord was not afraid, he was quite annoyed. "Are you planning to bully me with numbers?"

"Weren’t you doing exactly that just now?"

Ivan could not be bothered with nonsense. He lashed his Dragon Bone Battle Whip fiercely at the Gargoyle Lord, and the others immediately rushed forward to attack alongside him.

The great battle between the Super Heroes and the Demon King of Hell officially erupted.

Within the sea of blood, Dragon God was humiliated beyond measure—he was completely unable to defeat Wang Bert and was being stabbed over and over.

That was right, stabbed. Wang Bert had transformed into thousands of crimson spears, constantly using Teleportation and striking unpredictably. Dragon God had initially defended himself with all his strength, but he soon realized that he could not block them at all, because a spear could strike from anywhere.

Helpless, Dragon God could only turn his poisonous gas into dragon armor to enhance his defense. At the same time, he expelled every Blood Spear the instant it pierced his body. Otherwise, once the spears entered his body, he would be in danger.

Overall, Dragon God had completely fallen into a disadvantage. Fortunately, as a Dragon God, he possessed powerful defense and recovery abilities, so such minor wounds were not a major problem.

But if this continued, minor problems would become major ones.

This guy is barely over twenty. Why is he so strong? He’s actually crushing me head-on?

Dragon God’s eyes were filled with confusion. He had lived for over ten thousand years, yet he could not defeat a young man barely over twenty. The thought was unbearably frustrating.

It’s a pity my poisonous gas is useless against him. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be this passive. Could this guy really be God reincarnated? How else could he be this strong?

Dragon God sighed. He deeply regretted wading into this mess. It was Heaven’s internal affair, so why had he come to join the fun? Dragon God could not help asking, "Blood God, are you really God reincarnated?"

"Are you stupid? You actually believe that kind of nonsense?"

Wang Bert’s mocking voice came from one of the spears. Then, the spear appeared directly before Dragon God’s eyes and stabbed viciously at his left eye.

Dragon God shut his eye, while poisonous gas formed into a shield before it. With a clang, the spear was knocked away and vanished in midair.

"Bastard."

Wang Bert’s words made Dragon God furious. Gritting his teeth, he said, "Blood God, I admit defeat. I can give you a large number of true dragons, Dragon Beasts, and Dragon Men, on the condition that you let me return to the Dragon Dimension."

"It’s too late to surrender now."

Wang Bert stabbed a spear into Dragon God’s abdomen, drew a small amount of blood, and was driven out. He continued, "I’m definitely devouring you."

"Dragon Dimension has more than just one Dragon God. Let me go, and I’ll take you to devour another Dragon God."

Wang Bert sneered. "You would even betray your own kind. How could I spare you?"

"I am a Dragon God, while that guy is a Lizard Dragon. What kind of kin are we? Blood God, if you refuse, don’t blame me for fighting you to the death."

Dragon God roared, "I’ve lived for over ten thousand years. I have plenty of methods for mutual destruction."

"Then bring it on. Why so much nonsense?"

Wang Bert shouted. He was the Blood God—would he be afraid of death?

"Blood God, go to hell!"

Dragon God flew into a rage. Green blood surged madly from his body and fused with poisonous gas, transforming into countless streams of green blood that wrapped around the crimson spears.

The crimson spears were about to use Teleportation when Dragon God unleashed all his mental power to shake the void. Even the crimson spears stalled for a moment.

Seizing that opportunity, countless streams of blood wrapped around the crimson spears and squeezed hard, intending to crush the Blood Spears.

"Blood God, didn’t expect I still had this move, did you? Die!"

Dragon God laughed wildly. This move would greatly damage his vitality, but that did not matter. What mattered was killing the Blood God, then devouring him.

Just as Dragon God was feeling smug, over a thousand crimson spears suddenly appeared out of thin air. Taking advantage of Dragon God’s attack, they viciously pierced his dragon body and swam into it like fish.

Then, the thousand-plus Blood Spears severed the streams of blood from within. Deprived of their foundation, the blood streams greatly weakened. The spears seized the chance to vibrate violently, shattering the blood streams.

Afterward, the freed crimson spears all pierced Dragon God’s body. Dragon God was riddled with holes and let out a shrill scream.

"Blood God, you weren’t even using your full strength before?"

Dragon God roared in disbelief. Wang Bert sneered. "So what? Seventy percent of my strength is enough to deal with you."

As Wang Bert sneered, the spears rapidly swam toward Dragon God’s heart. Even for a god, the heart was still a weakness.

"No!"

Dragon God cried out in alarm and frantically mobilized the power within his body to stop the spears. But there were simply too many of them, and they were too fast. Dragon God could not hold them back, and they soon broke into the area around his heart.

At that moment, the terrified Dragon God suddenly smiled smugly. A black hole appeared out of nowhere in his heart region and sucked in all the crimson spears.

"Blood God, do you think you can really kill me?"

Dragon God laughed triumphantly. "Everything was merely part of my plan. Blood God, you delivered yourself to me as food. I truly ought to thank you."

Wang Bert, in bald Gladiator form, flew over and asked in alarm and fury, "What is going on? Why did I suddenly lose contact with all my spears? That makes no sense. They are part of my body."

"Because I swallowed them all."

Dragon God grinned viciously. His neck writhed, and a pitch-black dragon head emerged.

Dragon God was, astonishingly, a two-headed dragon.

Wang Bert suddenly understood. "No wonder a poisonous dragon like you could become a Dragon God. You had another head, one that can devour everything."

"That’s right. I am the Devouring and Poisonous Two-Headed Dragon."

The head representing devouring said, "However, everyone who knows this secret is dead. Blood God, you will be no exception."

Dragon God’s other head laughed loudly. "Blood God, you only have a little cleverness. How could you compare to my ten thousand years of wisdom?"

That black hole from before was Dragon God’s stomach. Not only could it decompose all things, it could also move freely throughout Dragon God’s body.

The panicked Wang Bert suddenly smiled. "Do you think I would really be stupid enough to deliver myself to my death?"

Before Wang Bert finished speaking, Dragon God’s body suddenly erupted in a violent explosion. Even Dragon God could not withstand it. Both dragon heads screamed miserably at the same time, and then the devouring head opened its mouth and spat out a large amount of blood and black internal organs.

The poisonous head of Dragon God shouted in disbelief, "How can this be? Was what I swallowed not your body?"

"Of course not. Did you think I didn’t know you were a two-headed dragon?"

Wang Bert sneered. "I’m a Vampire. The moment I drank your blood, I knew something was wrong with you. After those spears entered your body, they all merged into a single spear. The rest were nothing but empty shells."

Dragon God asked unwillingly, "I can devour and decompose everything. Why could your bomb still explode?"

"Devour everything? Can you devour concepts?"

Wang Bert smiled disdainfully. He had sealed the bomb with Space Energy, so Dragon God had no way to digest it.

"Blood God—"

Dragon God was about to shout something else when Wang Bert’s true body stabbed a spear viciously through his heart and began madly devouring his origin blood essence.

Dragon God tried to resist, but at that moment, over a thousand crimson spears followed his blood into both of his heads and attacked wildly. Dragon God writhed continuously in the sea of blood in agony.

"I’ll help relieve your pain."

Wang Bert took out the silver Memory Hammer and, with lightning speed, struck both of Dragon God’s heads at once. Dragon God, who had been writhing in pain, suddenly wore a blank expression. Where am I? Why am I here? And what is happening to my body? Who is attacking me?

Dragon God instinctively examined the state of his body, then struggled to resist, but he could not stop Wang Bert’s draining and attacks at all.

Dragon God was a god after all, and his memories quickly returned. At that moment, Wang Bert brought the hammer down again, and Dragon God lost his memories once more.

Memory loss, recovery, memory loss, recovery… Dragon God could not effectively counterattack. He could only howl, remain confused, and struggle endlessly.

In truth, Wang Bert was not afraid of Dragon God’s counterattack. But he was afraid Dragon God would resort to mutual destruction—not because he feared death, but because he feared he would be unable to devour Dragon God whole.

To Wang Bert, Dragon God was an immensely nourishing feast. He could not afford to waste any of it.

After a while, Wang Bert had drained Dragon God until almost nothing remained but dragon skin, while his divine soul was sealed by Wang Bert with Space Energy.

By then, Dragon God no longer had even the slightest ability to fight back. Wang Bert stopped hammering him, and Dragon God’s memories quickly returned.

"I truly never expected my Dragon God would end up like this."

Dragon God smiled bitterly. "Blood God, I beg you to spare the Dragon Dimension. I am willing to give you half of the Dragon Dimension’s authority."

As he spoke, Dragon God opened his mouth and spat out a Dragon Tooth covered in strange patterns. He said weakly, "That is half the control over the Dragon Dimension. Once you kill the other Dragon God, you will be able to completely control the Dragon Dimension.

Our dragon race is extremely powerful. They will become your finest warriors and followers."

Wang Bert glanced at the Dragon Tooth and sighed. "Dragon God, you really are persistent. Even at death’s door, you still want to make one last gamble."

Dragon God shouted desperately, "How did you know there was something wrong with the Dragon Tooth?"

"I didn’t before, but I do now."

Wang Bert shrugged. Dragon God roared, "Blood God, I won’t let you off! Even if I become a ghost, I won’t let you off!"

"Why do you think you’ll still have a chance to become a ghost?"

Wang Bert put on a surprised expression as his true body accelerated the absorption.

Soon, Dragon God completely turned into a desiccated corpse. A spear flew out and transformed into Wang Bert.

Wang Bert’s true body did not waste words. He reached out and grabbed through the air, and the dragon skin separated from the dragon corpse and flew into his hand. All that remained in place was a dragon skeleton over a thousand meters long.

Next, Wang Bert stored away the precious god-tier dragon skin, then used Soul Magic to strip out the two-headed Dragon God’s soul.

Trapped within blood threads, the two-headed Dragon God kept roaring at Wang Bert, but it was completely useless.

"You’ve already lost. Accept your fate."

Wang Bert sneered, summoned his Dragon God, and had it swallow Dragon God’s soul and the shrunken dragon skeleton in one bite.
