Doflamingo and Enel (4K)

Brrr, brrr, brrr~

The Den Den Mushi kept ringing. Inside the Marine base, the messenger responsible for relaying intelligence leisurely put down his newspaper and answered with a frown.

"Hello, is this G51 Branch? This is Major Lucido. I’m currently trapped on what used to be Skuld Island. Tens of thousands of people are stranded here. Requesting support from the branch! Requesting support from headquarters!"

The messenger clicked his tongue inwardly. Those people on the island really are unreliable. They actually let Major Lucido survive until now.

He did not respond, merely preparing to put the receiver back. But the Den Den Mushi’s eyes moved, its expression creasing as it faithfully reproduced the appearance of the target seen by the Den Den Mushi on the other end.

"Corporal John, I know you’re listening!"

"I order you not to disconnect!"

Lucido’s voice through the Den Den Mushi shifted from calm to a furious roar, making John flinch. But he quickly recovered, filled with indignation. The base had long since ceased to be under Lucido’s control. That idiot had supposedly perished alongside Corey, the branch’s star Marine, somewhere at sea according to the report.

After loudly warning him, Lucido seemed to have understood everything. He spoke in a mocking tone.

"You’re all following that woman’s orders now, right? But I’m sure she never told you how much gold there is on Skuld Island…"

"Not one hundred kilograms, nor one thousand. It wouldn’t matter even if we counted it in tons…"

"There is an Eldorado here!"

The fury in John’s eyes seemed to be shattered in an instant by the Eldorado in Lucido’s words, turning them golden.

He swallowed and spoke for the first time.

"Is what you said… true?"

"Major Lucido?"

The Den Den Mushi immediately narrowed its eyes, revealing a smile identical to Lucido’s on the other end.

"Of course. Do you think that woman would risk sacrificing Corey and me just for the position of base commander?"

"What she wants is the treasure rich enough to rival a nation. And you, John, would receive only a pitiful reward. You might not even get a broken piece of a gold brick…"

John’s breathing grew heavier. He looked up toward the office entrance, but few people were passing by.

"Major Lucido, what… should I do?"

Lucido sneered inwardly. This group could sacrifice Corey and him for profit, so naturally they could sacrifice that woman for greater profit. There was nothing strange about it.

It was he who had foolishly treated the justice behind him as shackles…

"John, you should understand that you can’t swallow an entire Eldorado by yourself."

Lucido’s words made John nod unconsciously. He did not have such great ambitions. He was only a corporal. If he could get a few gold bricks, it would be enough for him to retire and return to his hometown in North Blue for a comfortable life.

"You must expose the existence of Eldorado… Spread it as far as possible…"

"Attract the most vicious pirates and the greediest Marine Soldiers…"

"Only then will you have a chance to fish in troubled waters!"

"John, listen… Urgh!"

A scream rang out. John heard only a muffled ripping sound before the Den Den Mushi stopped responding. It seemed that the bioelectric waves released by the Den Den Mushi on the other end had completely vanished.

Sweat appeared on John’s forehead. He thought that perhaps Major Lucido had truly met with disaster this time.

He did not feel sad. On the contrary, Lucido’s words had set his thoughts ablaze.

Tap, tap…

Footsteps sounded as a woman in the white cape unique to high-ranking Marine officers suddenly approached with a group of people. Her long purple hair cascaded down her back. Beneath the cape, she wore a low-cut white shirt that fully displayed her fiery figure.

When John saw Colonel Brina appear, panic rose in his heart, and he instinctively saluted.

Brina’s lips curled upward. For the first time, she paid attention to this insignificant little messenger. She patted his shoulder and said,

"Corporal John, I appreciate you."

Then she led a group of Marine officers toward the conference room deeper inside the base.

Vaguely, John heard Brina order those Marine Soldiers to suppress the news spreading from Mock Town. There was also something about gold, but he could not hear clearly and did not dare get too close.

As a high-ranking officer, Brina was extremely sharp.

But hearing that much was enough. John immediately returned to his office, thought for a moment, and secretly took out another Den Den Mushi he personally used to contact certain pirates and bandit groups.

"Hello, there’s some news I think you’ll be interested in…"

Bai Cangshu sat in a tavern, wolfing down meat.

You consumed simply prepared Sea Beast meat and gained a temporary boost: Stamina recovery speed slightly increased

Bai Cangshu’s appetite was terrifying, and this body’s digestive ability was exceptionally strong. He quickly ate nearly ten pounds of meat, yet only felt slightly full.

"Hey, boss, don’t you have any secret recipes here?"

"You’re not deliberately refusing to serve them because I’m an outsider, are you?"

Bai Cangshu was somewhat dissatisfied. He had thought that on this vast sea, finding some dark cuisine would be easy. He had not expected the man to only know how to grill meat.

Hearing Bai Cangshu’s words, the owner, whose face still bore bruises, hurriedly shook his head. Looking at the pirates in the tavern whose arms and legs had been broken into several sections, how could he not realize that this valiant-looking, rugged man before him was the terrifying fellow who had caused quite a commotion on the island last night?

It was said that several Bounty Criminals had been beaten to death last night. Then this man had casually thrown out a gold brick to dismiss the gathered pirates.

He had even declared that he had discovered Eldorado, and that gold was no longer anything precious to him.

Naturally, such words drew the attention of many people. The island’s most vicious figures had gathered in the middle of the night, but by morning, Mock Town was filled only with pirate crews spreading the news in every direction.

As a gathering place for pirates and criminals, Mock Town had always been connected to the underworld’s information network. Legend had it that even Heavenly Yaksha Donquixote Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, had appeared here on numerous occasions.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that this place was a gateway to the Grand Line’s underworld.

In almost half a day, news of Eldorado’s emergence had spread throughout the Grand Line. Through the hands of some information king of the underworld, ambitious figures everywhere were notified.

Naturally, Bai Cangshu would not let this grand event become a solo performance for pirates. He thoughtfully contacted more than a dozen Marine bases, including Marine Headquarters.

He stated that more than tens of thousands of people were tied up on Skuld Island and had been ruled for over two years by a madman calling himself a god. At least nearly a hundred Marines had died in those waters, while Marines from G51 Branch were still resisting on the island.

Bai Cangshu mixed truth with lies. He hinted at the incompetence and corruption of certain Marine branches while praising the courage of grassroots soldiers.

This way, even Marine branches most reluctant to deploy had no choice but to send personnel for the sake of their reputation.

In a certain stretch of sea on the Grand Line, Doflamingo looked at the intelligence specially delivered by a News Bird and let out a "Fuffuffuffu" laugh.

"Hey, Baby-5, didn’t we take in a pirate crew around Mock Town?"

Baby-5, dressed in a maid outfit, was not particularly quick-witted. She frowned as she tried to remember, but Trebol, whose nose was running, confirmed it first.

"Behehehe, Young Master, we did take in a Hyena over there."

"And it seems that fellow’s subordinate tried to contact us for help last night. But before he could say much, the call was cut off."

The Donquixote Family had many Devil Fruit Ability Users. As a Seven Warlords of the Sea force that now occupied the Dressrosa Kingdom, they did not particularly care about those newly emerging pirate crews.

How much money could one really make as a pirate? How much influence could they really have? Heh…

Doflamingo had long understood the gap between himself and those supreme monsters. He was certain that as long as people like Kaido still roamed the seas, his group would never be able to stir up much trouble.

Likewise, what he wanted did not need to be seized through sailing.

Doflamingo took a puff of his cigar and said to the others,

"Then it would be perfectly reasonable for us to set sail for Skuld Island now, wouldn’t it?"

"Of course, Young Master. One of our people is trapped there… Behehehe…"

As one of the senior officers who had first recognized Doflamingo’s potential and revered him as Young Master, Trebol understood Doflamingo’s thoughts very well.

If that Eldorado truly existed, it would undoubtedly be a massive fortune capable of shaking everything.

In this world, apart from the Golden Emperor and the Celestial Dragons, no one could possess that much wealth. In other words, obtaining such wealth would inevitably grant unimaginable power!

"Then let me see just how capable that fellow lucky enough to obtain a Logia-type Devil Fruit really is… Fuffuffuffuffu…"

Doflamingo tossed aside his cigar and moved both hands. His entire body flew into the air as he used the String-String Fruit’s power to connect invisible threads to the floating clouds above, allowing himself to move at high speed over vast distances through the sky like a flying yaksha.

His flamingo-like attire was also exceptionally eye-catching among the clouds.

On the Donquixote Family’s ship, Baby-5 was still somewhat worried.

"Will Young Master be alright going alone…?"

"The intelligence says a new Logia-type Devil Fruit Ability User may have appeared there."

Trebol gave a disdainful snort.

"Baby-5, who do you think Young Master is?"

"Young Master is the Heavenly Yaksha!"

"He is not someone those fellows who were lucky enough to obtain a Devil Fruit can compare to. On these seas, one cannot simply act however they please just because they have a Logia-type Devil Fruit!"

Trebol was certain that the Young Master, proficient in all Three Types of Haki, was not someone an ordinary Logia-type Devil Fruit Ability User could handle. Moreover, the Young Master would not be alone.

He called a secret Den Den Mushi and informed Vergo, a senior Family officer hidden within the Marines, of their operation.

On Skuld Island, beyond the town where the islanders lived, the mountains had been hollowed out to create an enormous space. Over the past two years, a massive temple complex covering hundreds of acres had gradually been completed.

The outer structures were built from brick and stone, but the interiors were largely made of gold. Even the ground was paved with gold bricks.

Enel sat inside this Earth Temple, which was not at all ostentatious. With a slight lift of his finger, Bellamy the Spring Man groaned in pain as a powerful current drew him up from the ground.

Enel’s gaze was cold, his earlobes extremely long, and an indifferent smile sat on his lips.

"So, in your heart, that Heavenly Yaksha is actually stronger than me, a god?"

"Because of that so-called… Haki?!"

Enel’s smile was mocking. Bellamy’s expression was pained. This man could read his thoughts and use electrical stimulation to shatter a person’s mental defenses.

Bellamy felt his skin gradually turning charred inch by inch. Amid the unbearable agony, resentment and fear intertwined.

Enel wore a derisive expression. After arriving in this Blue Sea, he had discovered that most people here were arrogant. Even when facing him, they refused to kneel and acknowledge that he was a god.

Enel was not stupid. On the contrary, he actively gathered intelligence. Back on Sky Island, he had learned from pirates who reached the island that his own power came from a Logia Type Devil Fruit. He had also learned of the existence of Paramecia Type and Zoan Type Ability Users.

After arriving on this island, he had killed countless people over the past two years, but even more had been interrogated by him before their deaths.

In the end, Enel learned that, in the eyes of these Blue Sea pirates, even people who possessed natural-disaster powers like his were not the strongest in the world.

Most believed the world’s strongest was an aged pirate named Whitebeard, or perhaps a madman named Kaido. Some believed Akainu, the Marine who controlled magma, was the strongest in the world, while others chose the world’s greatest swordsman among the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

After his initial massacres born of rage, Enel began to realize how vast the world was. He continued developing his abilities and consciously began preparing for his weaknesses.

That way, if those so-called Haki experts ever appeared before him and obstructed his great undertaking of becoming a god, he would still utterly destroy them.

Enel kept moving his fingers, and Bellamy, whose bounty exceeded fifty million, was hurled around the temple in agony.

Enel’s control over his Devil Fruit had far surpassed what it once was.

At that moment, in a temple room nearby, a man wearing a Marine uniform emerged. Lowering his head, he said,

"Colonel Brina has sent word. Several Marine branches are about to dispatch intelligence forces to this island and are prepared to bombard it with artillery fire at any time. She asked you to… move Eldorado as soon as possible…"

His head was lowered, but the fear in his heart was easily read by Enel.

Bzzz~

A flash of lightning passed, and Enel appeared behind the man.

"Brina really is a faithless mortal as well."

"She does not understand the greatness of a god."

"Yahahahaha…"

Enel’s laughter rolled like muffled thunder. Thunderclouds rapidly gathered over the island, as though an unprecedented lightning disaster was about to descend.
