Domain Expansion: Sound Kill Underworld (3K)
Red Dust merely smiled when he heard Mercenary Tao’s words. He was not showing off or making some declaration of victory; he simply found fighting Mercenary Tao immensely enjoyable.
Due to the shortage of resources in the early stages, as well as the uncertainty of acquiring abilities in the space, Reincarnators found it difficult to obtain specific types of abilities without the support of team resources.
Put nicely, most Reincarnators possessed diverse abilities. Put bluntly, they were jacks of all trades and masters of none.
Furthermore, because of their combat methods, close-combat and physical-combat Reincarnators had a higher mortality rate than those focused on firearms or spellcasting.
Encountering an expert who was wholly focused on physical combat was a rare opportunity.
Red Dust swung the Snow Drinker Blade twice. Ice mist had already shrouded the surroundings. His extraordinary trait, Howling Wind Chill, allowed him to lower the temperature around him whenever he moved rapidly in any manner, while further enhancing the effects of wind and cold.
He looked at Mercenary Tao, whose muscles had swollen once more, whose body now stood over two and a half meters tall, and whose body was wreathed in crimson flames. Without a doubt, Mercenary Tao was a powerhouse of the Second Tier.
Such exaggerated physical attributes already gave him the strength to crush some inferior Title-level Reincarnators. It was no accident that he had been able to kill Rainbow Mage: Qilin Temple one-on-one.
But…
"Let me introduce myself. I’m Red Dust, a member of Chaos Sage, the second servant squad under His Excellency Eternal Destiny, the Supreme Expert."
"Although you have some conflicts with that girl White Face, I’ll ask anyway: are you willing to become a follower of His Excellency Eternal Destiny?"
Whenever Red Dust encountered a talented Reincarnator, he habitually tried to recruit them. It was his philosophy for dealing with people. Not every strong person had to be killed; only by having more strong people on one’s side could victory be attained more easily.
"Shut up!"
A furious shout suddenly rang out. In an instant, Red Dust felt a powerful, twisted negative energy steal away his ability to speak.
Black cursed energy dripped continuously from his body like blood. Millennium Worm walked over from afar with his head lowered, his figure resembling a twisted monster as it swayed ceaselessly beneath the shroud of cursed energy.
The effect of this cursed speech was extremely powerful. Flower Immortal, who had been monitoring them through the cactus, was likewise deprived of her ability to speak.
Bai Cangshu turned his head and looked at the Man in Black, who had not lost his memories despite regenerating a new head. He knew that the other party had probably resolved this weakness of Ajin through some method.
That made him quite difficult to deal with, of course… for other people.
Bai Cangshu opened his mouth. He discovered that as long as he did not intend to speak, this cursed speech would not prevent him from opening his mouth. He gained a deeper understanding and speculation regarding this ability.
Huff~
Bai Cangshu greedily breathed in the icy air, using it to ease the increasingly frenzied Satsui no Hado surging within him due to the strength displayed by these two Reincarnators.
The Satsui no Hado was burning in his chest and brain. His fingers twisted strangely a few times as he restrained the urge to remove that seal right now.
I really want to completely release the Satsui no Hado and kill these two right now…
Especially…
Bai Cangshu shifted his gaze away from the man in the black trench coat, whose cursed energy had finally become intense and twisted. What he had always wanted to see was the man’s current appearance.
That look of suppressing his increasingly frenzied mind through reason simply could not stir Bai Cangshu’s interest.
Yet once the man had finally revealed his true self, Bai Cangshu found someone who could make him even more "excited."
This red-haired Bladesman was undoubtedly also a Reincarnator specializing in physical combat. His enhanced abilities were probably martial arts-related. Combined with Luoxi’s intelligence, Flower Immortal had betrayed them to join Chaos Sage, severely injuring Crimson Lotus during a direct confrontation and seizing the resources of that Wind and Cloud World.
Thump, thump, thump…
Bai Cangshu’s heartbeat grew faster and faster. Accompanied by the dreadful sounds of muscles swelling and tearing, his body instantly exceeded three meters in height.
The oppressive force born from sheer physical prowess crashed down upon them directly.
He looked at Red Dust, tapped the ground with his toes, gathered power from every muscle, then unleashed it from a single point.
Crack.
Web-like fissures instantly spread across the frozen asphalt, radiating for hundreds of meters.
Seeing this, Red Dust inhaled a breath of cold air. He gripped his blade with both hands, his body drawn taut like a bow.
Bang!
The fractured ice layer and the asphalt beneath it turned to dust together. Amid the eruption of violent force, Red Dust’s vision went blank.
The speed that his opponent unleashed in that instant had surpassed his own.
Without even looking, his body immediately flowed and shifted as naturally as water. The air before him was instantly evacuated, yet Red Dust spun along with that impact.
Bai Cangshu’s Immortal Path: Grand Demonic Spear missed completely for the first time. The air let out a pop as a blazing white plume stabbed past Red Dust’s side, punching a hole several meters deep through the ice.
With a glance from the corner of his eye, Red Dust knew that Mercenary Tao’s Martial Arts Mastery had likely surpassed Lv7 as well. His force could leave the body without dissipating. This only made him happier. He stepped out with Water Shifting Steps once more, followed the turbulence in the air created by the Grand Demonic Spear’s thrust, flipped and floated upward, then swung his blade fiercely with both hands.
Fifth Form: Plum Blossom in Snow!
A massive ice-blue blade aura erupted once again.
This slash seemed to sweep up all the air Bai Cangshu had stirred, rolling it backward in an instant. Bai Cangshu did not retreat a single step. He stepped forward, and amid the thunderous explosion of the ground, clenched his left hand hard.
Rip!
Blue-white lightning flashed into existence over his fist, and the electric particles that had already filled the surroundings were activated in an instant.
Dark Thunder Fist!
Boom!
Bai Cangshu’s punch was incomparably tyrannical. As his left fist shot out, the lightning in the air dozens of meters before him exploded at once, transforming into a massive thunderball over ten meters in diameter. Fist force, Satsui no Hado, and the power of lightning erupted violently within it.
Before the blue-white blade aura could fully reach him, it smashed into the Dark Thunder Fist with a thunderous crash. The two energies collided, then exploded with a bang.
Pfft, pfft, pfft…
Shattered blade aura sprayed out in every direction from the explosion. In an instant, several strands of blade aura pierced through Bai Cangshu. Before blood could even flow out, it froze. The frigid Inner Force lingering within the blade aura continued circulating through his body, slowing the rate at which his flesh healed.
Red Dust was likewise blasted away by the lightning and Satsui no Hado. Every strand of his red hair stood on end, and his body surface was charred black. He coughed, dark blood seeping from his mouth and nose. He had also been injured by that lightning and Satsui no Hado.
Yet with a mere circulation of his breath, powerful Inner Force flowed through his meridians, immediately easing much of his injury. Martial Arts Internal Cultivation was far superior to energies such as Battle Aura when it came to internal observation, regulating one’s breath, and even healing injuries.
Red Dust raised the Snow Drinker Blade high and slashed down fiercely.
Startling Cold Glimpse!
Bai Cangshu raised his left hand. The blade aura crashed onto the Left Arm of the King. As the blade aura shattered, Bai Cangshu was once again cut by the scattered fragments.
Red Dust’s force and energy seemed inexhaustible. He leaped high into the air and slashed down once more.
One slash, two slashes, three slashes!
Massive blade auras descended one after another, completely freezing the earth. Bai Cangshu’s entire body was blue and purple. Half his body had been cut into the ground, and blue-purple wounds covered him.
Red Dust’s overwhelmingly powerful Internal Qi made his offensive output nearly comparable to those spellcasters.
Bzz~
Electric current flowed through Bai Cangshu’s body, and the frost began to melt.
Thump thump thump…
Like the beating of dense war drums, Bai Cangshu’s heartbeat was constantly approaching a certain limit. His face, stiffened somewhat by the frigid Inner Force, split into a grin. He had a premonition that he was gradually approaching that realm…
The realm of understanding everything!
Red Dust descended from the sky, gripping his blade with both hands. He was prepared to cut off Mercenary Tao’s head with a single strike.
"Domain Expansion: Sound Kill Underworld."
A cool, low voice rang out. Red Dust and Bai Cangshu, immersed in their battle with each other, both froze. Black cursed energy drowned everything, and the surroundings fell completely into darkness. Then rows upon rows of bronze chime bells emerged from the dark.
The chime bells seemed to stretch endlessly, their bases radiating a ghostly azure glow that adorned this pitch-black domain with a grim and terrifying atmosphere.
Millennium Worm stood within the domain, releasing his hand seal. His eyelids hung low, and his face bore an expression of pain and mockery.
These two seemed to have completely ignored his existence, but clearly… he was the strongest one here.
The more powerful an Ajin’s immortality was, the more profound the pain brought by that ability became. Without any bloodline ability that reduced the pain of death, he experienced the suffocation and physiological struggle of death in full every single time.
And with every resurrection came a sense of separation from everything before it. That resurrection process, one completely detached from the body, had made Millennium Worm question more than once whether he was still himself.
Compared to the living, he, an Ajin, was more like a copy. Perhaps the real him had died long ago, and what lived on was merely a clone carrying his memories and personality.
The despair born from immense mental pressure had long pushed his cursed energy beyond its limits, reaching an exceptional level within the Second Tier.
It was simply that he was in too much pain. Thus, at great expense, he had permanently embedded the magic Flash Memory Calculation from The Irregular at Magic High School within himself. Once he lost his memories, it would passively make him rapidly recall all of them in reconstructed form within an extremely short period of time.
This method was excruciatingly painful, but it also greatly strengthened his cursed energy.
Every time someone targeted him by taking his head, he would passively relive every painful memory and enter this special state akin to "awakening."
Millennium Worm clutched his head and tore open his scalp. The cursed energy was so intense that he could not use Reverse Cursed Technique at all.
But none of that mattered anymore…
Watching the two people within the domain react instantly, one using Inner Force to close his ear orifices, the other using the same old trick to destroy his own hearing.
Dong~
Rows of chime bells began to ring. Red Dust’s expression changed. Even after sealing his ear orifices, he could still "hear" the sound.
"Within my domain, hearing no longer has any meaning."
Millennium Worm explained as he looked at the two of them. He raised both hands, and every chime bell began to vibrate.
The entirely meaningless sounds escaped the limitation that cursed speech required people to understand the meaning of language before it could take effect, directly causing the two of them to feel confusion.
"Red Dust, die."
Millennium Worm spoke calmly.
The next instant, the light in Red Dust’s eyes vanished. His body was protected by Internal Qi that clung to his surface like a three-foot aura, and he held a treasured blade in his hand, yet he still collapsed to the ground with a crash. The Snow Drinker Blade stabbed into the earth and trembled faintly.
Seeing this, Bai Cangshu’s heartbeat rapidly climbed to its limit.
Reincarnator EX051, talent anchoring activated once more, entering manifested state…
Millennium Worm looked indifferently at Mercenary Tao. The corners of his mouth curled upward in mockery.
No one understood the weakness of immortality better than he did.
"Mercenary Tao, sleep eternally."
Bai Cangshu’s expression froze. His violently pounding heart suddenly calmed, and the next instant, his enormous body over three meters tall likewise crashed to the ground.
