Dongfang Huaizhu, Dongfang Qinlan

Su Yu smiled wryly and patted Tu Shan Rong Rong’s little head. "Girl, those are nothing but ants. All you need to do now is be happy every day. Let the rest develop on their own; don’t overthink it. Master promises you that in the future, I’ll personally separate Tu Shan Hong Hong and Tushan Susu so they can live independently!"

Tu Shan Rong Rong narrowed her eyes and smiled. "Master, you said that yourself. I already recorded it. All right, Master, you can leave now."

As she spoke, Tu Shan Rong Rong took out a voice recorder and waved it before Su Yu. Su Yu had given her the recorder to play with.

Su Yu smiled. "You little rascal, plotting against your own master?"

Tu Shan Rong Rong stuck out her tongue. "Master, I know you’re no ordinary person. There must be nothing in this world that you can’t solve. You can definitely handle my sister’s matter easily. Only if you promise to help her in the future can I rest assured. You won’t blame me, right, Master?"

Su Yu gave a wry laugh and tapped Tu Shan Rong Rong’s little nose. "As expected of the one who would later be called Tu Shan’s greatest strategist. I’m leaving. Yi Yi will have to be in your care."

"Rest assured, Master. No one inside or outside Tu Shan will be able to harm a single hair on Yi Yi’s head!" Tu Shan Rong Rong said with narrowed eyes and a smile.

Su Yu nodded and turned to leave. After taking a few steps, he suddenly remembered something. Turning back to Tu Shan Rong Rong, he said, "Girl, why do you always keep such beautiful eyes narrowed? Be careful not to become nearsighted. Don’t keep squinting from now on."

With that, Su Yu left.

Tu Shan Rong Rong opened her eyes wide, then smiled and nodded at Su Yu’s retreating back.

After leaving, Su Yu chose a direction and set off. He had left Tu Shan this time because Dongfang Huaizhu and Wangquan Baye were about to meet. He truly felt sorry for them. In the plot of Fox Spirit Matchmaker, they were the only married couple who were both human, and also the only couple who could not continue their fate in another life.

Su Yu wanted to help them. Either he would preserve Dongfang Huaizhu’s life, or he would help them achieve Reincarnation and Continued Fate!

In an unnamed small town, Su Yu arrived early one morning. He found the inn where Dongfang Huaizhu and Dongfang Yuechu would appear in the story and took up residence there. The two of them would not arrive for several more days.

A few days later.

That day, three Daoist cultivators arrived at the inn. They were none other than Ximen Chuisha and his two companions. The three drove all the other guests away, forbidding anyone from staying at the inn that night. Finally, they came to Su Yu’s door, intending to drive him away as well.

Zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng…

A melody rang out. A rendition of High Mountain Flowing Water left the three of them without even the strength to raise their arms. Ximen Chuisha’s expression changed drastically, and he immediately shouted, "Senior, we had no intention of disturbing you. Please spare us!"

The music faded, and the three immediately turned and fled. Once they reached the ground floor, the young man who played with fire said, "Who’s upstairs? The moment I heard his music, my entire body went weak."

"We felt the same. The person upstairs must be some reclusive senior. Don’t provoke him," Ximen Chuisha said.

The two nodded. "We’re not idiots."

That evening, a heavy downpour came without warning. Before long, a woman arrived at the inn to shelter from the rain, bringing a little girl and a servant with her.

After learning that there was a senior upstairs, the three previously arrogant Daoist cultivators all restrained themselves.

The woman wore garments mainly in goose yellow and bamboo green, with white inner robes and a bamboo-green outer coat. There was a Divine Fire mark on her forehead, and a pendant bearing the same mark hung from her waist.

It was clearly the attire of the Divine Fire Manor, yet Su Yu was puzzled. How had those three fools, Ximen Chuisha and the others, failed to recognize it from the start?

After ordering a few small dishes, Dongfang Huaizhu began eating with Dongfang Qinlan. Meanwhile, Ximen Chuisha and his companions started chatting as they ate.

As they talked, the three began discussing the strongest members of the younger generation. When the Dongfang family came up, they were all disdainful, because this generation of the Dongfang family had only women and no men.

Dongfang Qinlan marched up to the three with puffed cheeks, a ball of flame rising in her hand. "You look down on the Dongfang family, don’t you? Aren’t you a fire user? Come on, let’s compare flames! We’ll shake hands and see who gets burned!"

As she spoke, Dongfang Qinlan looked at the fire-wielding Daoist.

The man looked thoroughly unwilling. This was the Demon-Slaying Divine Fire Pure Yang Flame, and there was also a senior upstairs. He immediately refused.

Dongfang Qinlan smiled. "So you’re scared."

Watching the scene from upstairs, Su Yu smiled. As expected of Dongfang Yuechu’s mother—she was carved from the same mold. Su Yu took out the Taigu Yiyin Qin and began playing the "Nurturing Essence Calming Heart Melody."

Zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng, zheng…

As the music played, everyone’s hearts grew calm. Dongfang Qinlan also drew the Pure Yang Flame back into her body.

When the piece ended, Dongfang Huaizhu slightly cupped her hands toward the second floor. "Senior, may I ask your name?"

"Su Yu."

Su Yu’s voice came from the second floor. The others immediately remembered the name. From the methods Su Yu had displayed, they could plainly see that he was extraordinary.

With the farce over, everyone continued eating. Afterward, Dongfang Huaizhu and Dongfang Qinlan returned to their room. After thinking for a moment, Dongfang Huaizhu said, "Qinlan, I want to meet this senior. Wait for me in the room."

Dongfang Qinlan immediately objected. "No, no! What if that person means Sister harm? I’m coming too!"

Dongfang Huaizhu smiled. "All right, but you’re not allowed to speak later."

Dongfang Qinlan immediately nodded. The two then came to Su Yu’s door, and Dongfang Huaizhu knocked.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Come in."

Su Yu’s voice came from within the room. Dongfang Huaizhu pushed open the door and entered with Dongfang Qinlan. They saw Su Yu, dressed in white, sitting behind a table. On it rested an exceptionally beautiful guqin.

The moment Dongfang Huaizhu saw Su Yu’s face, she froze. It was not because of his handsomeness, but because he looked far too young. She had assumed that a senior like him would at least be over forty, yet Su Yu appeared to be only around twenty.

Su Yu smiled. "You’re wondering why I look so young, yet my strength is so far beyond your understanding?"

Dongfang Huaizhu nodded. That was exactly what puzzled her.

PS: I saw someone say that all the comments they saw were four- and five-star ratings, while my book’s rating was only seven-point-something, claiming that I deleted negative reviews. All I can say is that I’ve only deleted the kind I mentioned before.

Also, you don’t have to leave a comment to give a rating, okay? The people giving low scores might have rated directly without commenting. Not everyone is like certain people who have to make sure the whole world knows whenever a book doesn’t suit their tastes.

When I read books myself, if I see something I dislike or find disgusting, I simply delete it from my library. I never leave comments just to disgust an author, because it only means I don’t like that type of story. It doesn’t mean I can deny the author’s work.

If some people don’t like it, can’t you just delete the book? I don’t know what kind of mentality makes you come into the comments just to disgust me, and I don’t dare ask.
