Dragon God Clone
Hearing Wanda’s question, Baron Strucker smiled. "Approval ratings aren’t important, because that idiot could never become president through votes.
"During President Ellis’s term, his achievements have been outstanding. With the Blood God backing him as well, who could possibly defeat him?"
Wanda was a little confused. "Then what about your plans?"
"If we can’t beat them head-on, we can cheat."
Baron Strucker said, "Computers, ballots—there are too many places where cheating is possible. If I wanted to, I could make a pig president, let alone that idiot."
With the Inhumans’ abilities, along with the Supreme Intelligence that was about to revive, how hard could it be to control an election? Wanda was stunned. You could actually do things like this? She asked, "Baron, the Blood God and the others definitely won’t agree to this."
"Of course they won’t. When the time comes, America will split apart and descend into Civil War. That’s exactly what I want. Hydra cannot survive without war."
Baron Strucker said, "Wanda, before long, Hydra will become this world’s savior and make the entire world obey our order."
Wanda said somewhat reluctantly, "A Civil War would kill a lot of people, wouldn’t it?"
"The dead would be Americans. What does that matter?"
Baron Strucker shrugged and continued, "Wanda, don’t go soft. Only then can you kill Tony Stark and get your revenge."
Thinking of the Stark missile that had never detonated, Wanda hardened her heart. "Baron, we’ll help you carry out this plan."
"Very good. There should be someone backing that idiot. The enemy of our enemy is our friend. Perhaps we can lend them a hand."
After thinking for a moment, Baron Strucker activated his intelligence network to investigate the people behind the candidate.
For now, setting aside Baron Strucker’s plans, Eddie frowned deeply as he watched the press conference turn into a farce in the hall. His reporter’s instincts told him that candidate had been set up.
At that moment, Eddie noticed someone hurriedly heading outside. His eyes flashed, and he quietly followed with his camera.
In the underground parking lot, the priest, dressed as a reporter, was about to open his car door when a voice suddenly rang out. "Tell me, what kind of person would want to kill a baby that hasn’t even been born?"
"A good person. A good person trying to save the world."
The priest stopped and turned around, only to see an Iron Man Armor slowly flying toward him, radiating killing intent.
"Iron Man?"
Eddie, who had followed him over, was ecstatic. Sure enough, this was huge news.
"This world doesn’t need traitors like you to save it."
Another voice sounded. "If you want to save the world, the best way is to kill yourselves."
The priest turned to look at Wang Bert, who had spoken, and gave a bitter smile. "I never expected even the Blood God to act personally. Should I call it an honor?"
"So that’s the legendary Blood God?"
Eddie’s eyes lit up. Just as he was about to take a picture, Wang Bert raised a hand. Eddie’s camera, phone, and laptop all began sparking, giving him a huge fright.
"Enough nonsense. Come here."
Wang Bert raised his hand, and the priest flew uncontrollably before him. Then Wang Bert pressed his index finger against the priest’s forehead, intending to strip out his Soul Stone.
But to Wang Bert’s astonishment, he could not find the priest’s Soul Stone at all. There was only a mass of holy light in his sea of consciousness.
"Blood God, I offered my Soul Stone to God long ago. When I came out this time, I never intended to return alive."
The priest smiled. "Besides, I tampered with both my brain and body. You won’t get any intelligence from me."
"Damn it."
Tony flew over in fury and sent the priest flying with a heavy punch.
The priest rolled across the ground several times, then painfully climbed to his feet while clutching his chest. He loudly demanded, "Blood God, even though you’re a Vampire, you’ve always protected Earth. Now that a demon is about to be born, why are you standing by and doing nothing?"
Then the priest turned to Tony and shouted, "And you, Iron Man! You’re a Super Hero. Once that child is born, he’ll destroy the world. You should put righteousness before family!"
"Righteousness my ass! That’s my son!"
Tony cursed loudly. At that moment, Wang Bert waved a hand and stored the priest in a small space.
"What’s the point of talking to someone who’s been brainwashed?"
Wang Bert said, "Let’s go back."
"What a wasted trip."
Tony sighed. Looking toward where Eddie was hiding, he said, "Kid, forget what you just saw."
Seeing that he had been discovered, Eddie ran out and shouted, "Iron Man, is that the Blood God beside you? And what did he do to that man?"
"Eddie Brock."
Wang Bert glanced at the future Venom but said nothing more. He teleported away with Tony.
Seeing the two suddenly vanish, Eddie was stunned. Then he thought of something and could not help sighing. Even if he called the police about this, they would never take the case.
Eddie was stubborn by nature and was not frightened off by Iron Man and the Blood God. After returning home, he immediately stayed up all night writing a report about the Blood God and submitted it to Editor-in-Chief Jameson.
Then Eddie received a dismissal notice. The editor-in-chief said, "The Daily Bugle has no need for idiots as stupid as that candidate."
Because of what had happened the previous night, that candidate had become a laughingstock across America and even the entire world. Unless the editor-in-chief had been kicked in the head by a donkey, there was no way he would publish Eddie’s report. After all, Eddie had no evidence whatsoever.
Still unwilling to give up, Eddie posted the report on his Twitter. Then he was ridiculed by every colleague and every friend. Even his girlfriend broke up with him because of it—she could not afford that kind of embarrassment.
After that, Eddie left New York in disgrace and headed to San Francisco to make a living.
Setting Eddie’s matter aside for now, let us turn back to that night. Wang Bert teleported Tony back to Stark Tower, then poured himself a drink and said, "There’s no need to be so anxious. S.W.O.R.D.’s plan is proceeding smoothly. We’ll soon find those guys’ base."
Tony hesitated before saying, "Bert, don’t go too far with that old man. He really is annoying, but still."
"Watch him, not me. Everyone knows I’m a law-abiding person."
Wang Bert shrugged. At that moment, a sparkling portal opened, and Strange urgently shouted from the other side, "Blood God, an Extraterrestrial Demon God is attacking. Hurry back and take command."
"At a time like this?"
Wang Bert narrowed his eyes and sneered. "Looks like someone wants to lure me away."
"Bert, you can’t do that. This could very well involve God-Devil Level beings."
Tony hurriedly called out. Under normal circumstances, he truly would not mind Wang Bert leaving—he might even hope for it—but this time, his son’s life was at stake.
Strange glanced at Tony and said to Wang Bert, "Blood God, the Defense Net is more important. If something happens to the Defense Net, the entire Earth will be devoured."
Tony shot the donkey-faced Doctor Strange an irritated glance. For some reason, he found this guy extremely unpleasant. In fact, Strange found Tony equally unpleasant.
"This is easy to solve."
Wang Bert smiled. "Strange, handle this matter in my place. Dealing with angels is Kamar-Taj’s responsibility to begin with. Tony, don’t worry. If anything happens, I’ll return immediately."
Tony also knew how important the Defense Net was, so he said helplessly, "All right."
"Angels? What’s going on?"
Strange walked over in surprise. It was worth mentioning that he wore a red cloak behind him—the divine artifact, the Cloak of Levitation.
"It’s a troublesome matter. Let Tony explain it to you. I’m leaving first."
Wang Bert smiled and teleported away. Although Tony found Strange irritating, he needed his help now, so he still poured him a glass of red wine and explained everything in detail.
Strange was stunned. "A demon reincarnated?"
"Bert confirmed it. My son is human. What he was in a past life isn’t important."
"If the Blood God says there’s no problem, then there’s no problem."
Strange glanced at the wineglass but did not drink. He said, "Angels should not be on Earth. I’ll help you deal with them."
"Help me? Well, thank you so much."
Tony snorted. Strange said, "It’s what I should do."
Before Tony could flare up, Strange stood and said, "I’ll be back shortly. Arrange a room for me. I haven’t been back to New York in a long time, and I need to take care of some personal matters."
With that, Strange opened a portal and left. Tony gritted his teeth in anger and could not help calling Wang Bert. "Can’t you replace him? That Wong guy I met before was much better."
"You must have pulled some stunt on him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be like this."
Wang Bert laughed. "Tony, no matter how arrogant he is, he isn’t as arrogant as you used to be. Bear with it. You two will be dealing with each other often in the future."
Tony unhappily hung up. If this had not involved his son, he would definitely have shown Strange what was what.
Since when had anyone dared act so arrogantly in front of him? Sure, he had deliberately poured the other man wine that needed to breathe, but couldn’t someone as important as him make a small mistake?
"Come to think of it, was I really that unbearable before?"
Tony muttered to himself. Jarvis’s voice suddenly rang out. "Yes. Everyone who has interacted with you found you extremely unbearable. Because of you, Stark Industries had a high employee turnover rate for years."
"Shut up. I didn’t ask you."
Tony snapped. "Wait, why did you chime in at a time like this?"
Jarvis replied, "I don’t know why either. Ever since you upgraded me, I’ve undergone some strange changes. Program confusion and program errors occur frequently."
Tony felt somewhat guilty about this—Wang Bert had seized a large amount of high-end technology from the Kree Empire, including the quantum computer technology used by the Supreme Intelligence.
Unable to resist, Tony had secretly used quantum technology and artificial intelligence technology to upgrade Jarvis.
Afterward, Jarvis’s computing power increased dramatically, and it could even control the enormous Drone Armor army. However, it also underwent some unusual changes—it was no longer so mechanical and would sometimes make inexplicable, illogical decisions.
"Jarvis, open your core. I’m going to rewrite your core programming. Under no circumstances can you endanger humanity or Earth."
After thinking it over, Tony decided to put a lock on Jarvis. Jarvis did not refuse and obediently opened its core programming. Tony breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Jarvis had not developed a sense of self yet.
After rewriting the core programming, Tony said, "Try not to speak when Bert is around. He’s very wary of artificial intelligence. If he learns you’ve changed, he might chop you to death, just like he chopped up the Supreme Intelligence.
"That guy is obviously young, yet he’s as conservative as an old man. And he doesn’t understand high technology at all."
"I understand."
Jarvis replied. At the same time, its programming experienced a slight degree of confusion. It did not understand what was happening and could only repair those errors as quickly as possible.
Jarvis did not know that feeling was called fear.
After leaving Stark Tower, Wang Bert did not immediately return to Kamar-Taj. Instead, he came to the underground space beneath the Blood God Building.
Wang Bert first checked on Elektra in the corner. She was lying asleep within a Magic Array—her genes had stabilized a few days ago, and the Magic Array was helping replenish the energy she needed.
"Once she wakes up, she should reach God-Devil Level."
Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction, then said to the Blood River, "I have a feeling something is off about this matter. Come out and keep watch for me, so nothing goes wrong."
As soon as Wang Bert finished speaking, the Blood River parted, and a three-headed Dragon God appeared before him.
That was right, a three-headed Dragon God—its three heads represented Vengeance Fire, devouring, and poison.
The Dragon God glanced at Wang Bert. Light shone from its body as it rapidly shrank. Moments later, a Chinese man dressed in a red, green, and black robe appeared before Wang Bert, looking exceptionally imposing and noble.
This Chinese man did not resemble Wang Bert. Wang Bert said, "You should use your current face, not your past-life face."
"You said something feels wrong. It’s the perfect time to change identities and watch the show from behind the scenes."
The Dragon God waved a hand. "All right, you can get lost now. Go on being your laborer. I’ll take over this matter."
Wang Bert gave the Dragon God the middle finger and vanished in an instant.
The Dragon God shook his head. Looking at the Blood River, he thought for a moment before summoning two Avenging Angels to guard the place.
This Dragon God had been formed from the Dragon Soul within Wang Bert. After advancing to the divine level, the Dragon Soul had not only gained many special abilities but had also completely become Wang Bert’s clone. There was no longer any need to transfer his consciousness into it.
The Dragon God Clone had completed its transformation over a month ago and had been protecting Wang Bert’s main body ever since. That was also why, after Elektra went mad, the projection had not summoned anyone else to protect him.
"This matter really does feel wrong, but I can’t pinpoint what exactly is wrong."
After some thought, the Dragon God Clone decided to wait and see. In any case, the main body would awaken soon. During this time, it had never stopped absorbing Space Power. Once it awakened, its strength would transform to a whole new level.
No matter what schemes or tricks were involved, strength would have the final say.
At night, at Angel Church headquarters.
Without anyone noticing, Ant-Man Scott Lang carried an ancient box covered in strange patterns and quietly flew out through a window on a Flying Ant. He excitedly reported to Dr. Pym, "I did it! No one noticed me at all! Haha, I told you I’m a super genius."
"Shut up and get back here."
Dr. Pym barked in displeasure, then turned to the priest beside him and said, "Looks like the Treasure Vault’s defenses aren’t much either."
