Dragons Join the Battle

"Get the hell out of my way!"

Thor, who had been buried alive, roared and blasted out of the ground in a surge of lightning. Ego snorted coldly, and five energy whips emerged from the cave walls, binding Thor’s limbs and torso.

Worse still, the energy whip around Thor’s right hand tightened hard. Thor cried out in pain and involuntarily released Thor’s Hammer. The energy whip immediately coiled around his right palm, preventing him from summoning Thor’s Hammer.

"You’re nothing but a hammer god. Without your hammer, you’re nothing. You’re far inferior to Odin."

Ego shoved forward, and the energy whips rapidly contracted. Thor roared as lightning erupted from his entire body, but he could not break free. His body was swiftly dragged into the cave wall.

Carol and the others immediately tried to help him, but Ego’s energy whips blocked their way. This was, after all, his home field.

Just then, amid a barrage of Energy Bullets, the energy whip binding Thor’s right hand was shattered. Thor hurriedly reached out, and Thor’s Hammer flew back into his hand.

With Thor’s Hammer in hand, the lightning around Thor surged tenfold, instantly destroying the energy whips and restoring his freedom.

Rocket shouted, "No need to thank me. Just give me that hammer in your hand."

"Little rabbit, you can’t lift this hammer."

Thor roared and swung Thor’s Hammer down at Ego with all his might. He was furious. Ego had actually tried to bury Thor alive? Rocket was not the only one who had arrived. Gamora, Groot, Mantis, and Drax, who had jumped down from the ship, had come as well. They joined forces with Carol and the others to fight Ego. Even Ego began to look somewhat disheveled.

"Damn it. If not for Quill, I wouldn’t even take these people seriously."

Ego gritted his teeth. Of everyone present, Star-Lord affected him the most. After all, there was only so much Celestial power. Every bit Star-Lord used was a bit less for him.

Carol commanded, "Thor, focus on smashing the barrier. We’ll deal with these energy whips."

"No problem," Thor shouted. "Smashing things is what I’m best at."

"Rocket, prepare a big bomb. Once Thor breaks the barrier, we’ll send small robots carrying the bomb to blow up Ego’s brain."

Gamora called out to Rocket. Rocket replied, "No problem. Leave it to me. Explosions are my favorite."

At that moment, a voice suddenly sounded over Gamora’s private channel. "Forget the bomb, Gamora. Get out of there."

Gamora froze, then asked, "Nebula? You’re here too? Why can’t I see you?"

"Yes, I’m here. Blood God hid me inside a grain of sand. No one can see me."

Nebula replied—Wang Bert had not used Pym Particles, but spatial powers. Simply put, he had used Putting Mount Sumeru in a Mustard Seed.

Gamora was puzzled. "Blood God sent you? What mission do you have? And why are you telling me to run?"

Nebula hesitated for a moment before saying, "Blood God had Doom make a super bomb powerful enough to destroy this entire place. If things go wrong, they’ll detonate it and wipe out everything here."

"A big bomb?"

Gamora was startled, then anxiously asked, "What about you? You’ll die too if it explodes."

Gamora’s concern touched Nebula a little. She said, "Blood God gave me a magic talisman. Once I activate it, I can teleport somewhere safe. The bomb has a ten-second countdown."

"That’s good."

Gamora first breathed a sigh of relief, then asked, "Nebula, if Blood God has something like that, why hasn’t he detonated it yet? Ego wants to kill Star-Lord and devour countless planets."

"I don’t know, but Blood God and the others are fighting fiercely above. They could detonate the bomb at any time."

Nebula said, "I don’t know Blood God very well, but Doom is definitely ruthless. He won’t care whether there are other people underground. Gamora, leave now, or you might die here."

"My companions are here. I won’t run. Besides, I trust Blood God. He’s not someone who casually sacrifices others, especially when his disciple and friends are here too."

Gamora said, "I’ll defeat Ego with everyone else. I believe we can do it."

Nebula sneered. "You’ve spent too much time with Star-Lord. Your IQ has dropped too."

"Maybe, but it doesn’t feel bad. They may be a bunch of idiots, but they’re lovable."

Gamora smiled and shouted to Star-Lord, "Star-Lord, if you defeat Ego, I’ll go on a date with you."

Star-Lord was overjoyed. "Really?"

Rocket cackled. "Of course it’s true. Not just Gamora—I’ll go on a date with you too."

Groot added, "I am Groot."

Hearing that, Drax deliberately turned around and shouted, "Star-Lord, I won’t go on a date with you. I don’t like men, and you’re too ugly and too fat."

"Why are you single losers joining in? And Drax, shut up."

Star-Lord laughed and cursed. The glow around his body suddenly doubled, and then countless energy whips belonging to him burst from the ground and lashed wildly at Ego.

Star-Lord was usually nothing special, but whenever it involved picking up girls, he became Super Star-Lord.

"Damn it!"

Star-Lord’s burst of power put Ego at a disadvantage. Alarmed and enraged, he contacted Grandmaster and shouted, "How are things on your end? Can you send people to help me?"

"Ego, weren’t you acting so arrogant before?"

Grandmaster scoffed. "Why are you so pathetic now? Getting beaten by a few juniors and begging for help?"

"Shut up. I’m asking you one thing: can you send reinforcements or not?"

Ego snapped. If not for Star-Lord, how could he be in such a sorry state? What a useless son.

"The Dragon Altar is almost activated. Once it is, I’ll send a few dragons over to support you."

Grandmaster said, "But you have to stop devouring planets. Ego, you lied to me. The number of planets you want to consume far exceeds my expectations."

Ego’s expression turned utterly grim. He asked, "What if I refuse?"

"Then I’ll destroy you along with them."

Grandmaster said arrogantly, "With nine Altars, unless those lofty Creator Gods intervene, I’ll destroy anyone I see in this universe."

Ego ground his teeth. "Fine, Grandmaster. I’ll remember this."

Grandmaster smiled disdainfully. Ego was a useless fool with lofty ambitions and no real ability. He talked like he was invincible, yet everything he did was a disaster. What an embarrassment.

"I’m still the greatest. Whether it’s Blood God or Ego, they’ll all submit beneath my feet."

Grandmaster was immensely pleased with himself. At that moment, the Dragon Altar finished activating. Grandmaster once again sacrificed Souls, and the Dragon Altar shone brilliantly, opening a spatial gate hundreds of meters tall below.

The instant the spatial gate appeared, vast numbers of Dragon Beasts and Dragon Men charged out—so-called Dragon Beasts and Dragon Men were hybrids born from dragons breeding with humans or animals.

Next, dozens of Dragon Gods and Lizard Dragons flew out into the sky. These Dragon Gods were generally hundreds of meters long, looking sacred and imposing. Moreover, every dragon had wings.

Seeing the Dragon God Altar open, Lucifer was overjoyed. Thinking of something, he hurriedly shouted to the Dragon God, "Dragon God, take the male Dragon Men back immediately. Asgard’s goddess of enchantment is here."

"What is some succubus goddess worth? You may be afraid, but I’m not."

An aged, arrogant voice rang out. Lucifer frowned but did not continue trying to persuade him. He said, "Dragon God, you promised me you would act personally."

"Lucifer, I’m not as afraid of death as you are. You’re a disgrace to the Demon Kings of Hell."

As the voice echoed, a green, winged Dragon God over a thousand meters long flew from the spatial gate. His immense dragon might filled the battlefield. Every living being present felt their hearts tighten, and some of the weaker ones even fell to their knees.

The Dragon God’s projection had descended.

The Dragon God’s words left Lucifer and the other two somewhat embarrassed. Lucifer said, "Enough nonsense. Make your move."

The Dragon God asked, "No rush. You said you would help me find the culprits who attacked the Dragon Dimension. Where are they? Or did you lie to me? Are the culprits actually those pretentious angels?"

"Why not sense them yourself?"

Lucifer said irritably, "I’ve told you many times already. Only Blood God has Spirits of Vengeance."

"With your character, who would believe anything you say?"

The Dragon God snorted coldly and carefully sensed the battlefield. Soon, his gaze locked onto Frank and Ivan. He roared, "You dare enslave our dragons?"

With the Dragon God’s roar, immense pressure descended upon Frank and Ivan. Their knees buckled, and they nearly fell to the ground.

Frank and Ivan were both furious. Gritting their teeth, they slowly straightened under the dragon might. Then they shouted, and enormous dragon phantoms appeared behind them simultaneously, roaring into the void as they fearlessly confronted the Dragon God.

Behind Ivan was a deep-blue Thunder Dragon Phantom, while behind Frank was a crimson Fire Dragon Phantom.

"You both became Iron Fists? That can be mass-produced too?"

Tony was stunned and shouted in disbelief. As a S.W.O.R.D. veteran, he had naturally seen Iron Fist’s files.

Ivan and Frank could not be bothered to answer. They had indeed become Iron Fists. The Dragon Souls the Avenging Angels had hunted were first used on them.

"Dragon Souls! You refined Dragon Souls into your bodies and erased their consciousness?"

The Dragon God was alarmed and enraged, his killing intent surging—these two had to die. Otherwise, many people would come hunting dragons to increase their strength in the future.

"So what if we did? Enough nonsense. Come and die."

Ivan drew the Dragon Soul back into his body and shouted arrogantly. Frank said nothing, but there was not the slightest trace of fear on his face.

At the same time, vast numbers of unmanned ships and the Clone Corps arrived through the spatial gate to provide support—the gate connected to space outside Sovereign. Although the reinforcements were not as numerous as the demons, they were still arriving in an endless stream.

Without that, they would have long since been unable to hold back the ever-growing demon horde.

The Dragon God ordered furiously, "Insolent! Go, kill those two and free the Dragon Souls in their bodies."

"Yes, supreme Dragon God."

Dozens of Dragon Gods immediately beat their wings and flew rapidly toward Ivan and Frank. At the same time, vast numbers of Dragon Beasts and Dragon Men roared as they charged into the battlefield.

"Hm?"

Seeing an opportunity, Lorelei waited until the dragons, Dragon Beasts, and Dragon Men entered the battlefield, then revealed herself and shouted, "Do you think I’m beautiful?"

"Beautiful."

Large numbers of dragons, Dragon Beasts, and Dragon Men were controlled, turning their weapons against the demon army—whether dragons, Dragon Men, or Dragon Beasts, they all liked beautiful human women. The Dragon Dimension was quite chaotic.

Lucifer hurriedly shouted, "Dragon God!"

"What are you afraid of? I told you I have a way to deal with it."

The Dragon God snorted and unleashed dragon might upon all dragons, Dragon Men, and Dragon Beasts.

Dragon might was especially effective against Dragon Men and Dragon Beasts. They immediately fell to their knees, trembling as their sanity quickly returned. Though the dragons did not kneel, they rapidly calmed down as well.

The Dragon God said proudly, "Dragons are the highest form of life. Under my dragon might, what is some Asgardian goddess?"

"What an irritating race."

Lucifer, Gabriel, Grandmaster, and the others all snorted inwardly. However, they were in the middle of a battle, so they did not say anything more.

After thinking it over, Grandmaster stopped paying attention to the battlefield and continued activating the remaining two Demon Altars. Blood God’s true body had not appeared yet, and anything could happen. The more reinforcements, the better.

Grandmaster had always felt that Hell could not hold Blood God. He had no proof, only intuition.

Soon, the Dragon Men and Dragon Beasts recovered their sanity. The Dragon God withdrew his dragon might and glared at Lorelei’s phantom. Lorelei’s phantom immediately began to shatter.

"I’m going to die. Take care of yourselves, and don’t miss me."

Lorelei unleashed all her divine power and cast her enchantment once more. The Dragon Men and Dragon Beasts were struck again. Wailing mournfully, they ignited their own Souls and chose to die for their goddess.

The dragons were affected as well, but they were powerful enough not to kill themselves immediately. They struggled bitterly to resist.

"Damn it."

The arrogant Dragon God had not expected things to turn out this way. He hurriedly unleashed his dragon might again. The dragons, Dragon Men, and Dragon Beasts quickly regained their senses, but it was already too late.

Once a Soul was ignited, it could not be extinguished.

The Dragon Men and Dragon Beasts did not kill a single enemy. Apart from a few females, all of them collectively dropped dead.

"Asgard!"

The Dragon God and the dragons roared in fury. Many of those had been their descendants, and now they were all gone.

Grandmaster, Lucifer, and the others watched coldly. This was what happened when one refused to listen to good advice.

"Hahaha, serves you right for looking down on me."

Lorelei sat aboard a warship. Though her face was pale, she looked extremely pleased with herself. This time, her contribution was considerable. Her master would surely reward her well.

"Still, my ability has major limitations. Perhaps I should return to Asgard and ask Thor for more divine power."

Lorelei thought to herself. Her abilities could still be enhanced.

Leaving Lorelei’s thoughts aside, seeing his forces suffer grievous losses, the Dragon God ordered more Dragon Beasts and Dragon Men to come reinforce them while beating his wings, preparing to attack the Blood God personally.

At that moment, Lucifer shouted to the Dragon God, "Go help Gabriel deal with Blood God’s avatar. Your subordinates are enough to handle everyone else."

The Dragon God hesitated, then flew toward Wang Bert. From afar, he opened his mouth and spewed a cloud of poisonous mist at Wang Bert and Gabriel. Yes, he had included Gabriel within his attack range.

Gabriel angrily dodged aside. Wang Bert made a circling motion with his hand, and a spatial gate appeared out of nowhere, swallowing the green poisonous mist.

Immediately afterward, a spatial gate appeared amid dozens of dragons below, and vast amounts of poisonous mist poured out. Several Lizard Dragons were enveloped by it and let out miserable screams.

Once the poisonous mist dispersed, those Lizard Dragons had all turned into skeletons, clattering down to the ground.

"Blood God!"

The Dragon God flew into a rage. Holding a Vibranium Spear, Wang Bert sneered. "I had planned to deal with your Dragon Dimension slowly, but since you’re looking to die, I’ll send you to Hell ahead of schedule."
