Fiery Eyes and Golden Gaze, Havoc in Heaven

"You… you… how could you possibly still be alive?!" Taishang Laojun cried in shock.

Sun Wukong sneered. "This old Sun cannot be killed! Today, I’ll shatter Lingxiao Palace and make your Heavenly Court pay the price!"

With that, Sun Wukong flew into the sky and punched straight through the roof of Tushita Palace.

After reaching the sky, Sun Wukong found the direction of the Heavenly Court. Just as he was about to charge over, Su Yu appeared at his side and said with a smile, "Junior Brother."

Hearing Su Yu’s voice, Sun Wukong immediately turned toward him. "Senior Brother, why are you here? Did you come looking for me?"

"No. I actually arrived long ago, on the day Taishang Laojun locked you inside the pill furnace. But I knew that furnace couldn’t harm you. It could even refine the medicinal power of the Immortal Pill within you, help you break through, and allow you to cultivate Fiery Eyes and Golden Gaze. That’s why I didn’t save you. Junior Brother, you don’t blame me, do you?" Su Yu said slowly.

Sun Wukong laughed heartily. "Of course not. I know Senior Brother can divine countless matters under heaven. I know you wouldn’t deceive me."

Su Yu slung an arm around Sun Wukong’s shoulder. "Good brother. Since Junior Brother is so magnanimous and doesn’t blame me, then today, Senior Brother will join you in wreaking Havoc in Heaven!"

"Good! Today, the two of us will shatter Lingxiao Palace! Jade Emperor or Tathagata, whoever stands in our way will get beaten!" Sun Wukong shouted. His voice echoed across the horizon, and the people of the Heavenly Court immediately heard it.

Su Yu gave a wry smile. Wasn’t this practically notifying the Heavenly Court that they were coming to fight?

Sun Wukong had now broken through to the Taiyi Heavenly Immortal realm. With his extraordinary strength, he could already fight Jade Emperor on equal footing. Moreover, the current Jade Emperor was only a clone. Su Yu had originally intended to catch the Heavenly Court off guard with Sun Wukong, but after that roar, Jade Emperor had surely learned of Sun Wukong’s breakthrough. Given the Heavenly Court’s understanding of Sun Wukong, Jade Emperor was probably already sending someone to invite Buddha…

Seeing Su Yu’s wry smile, Sun Wukong asked in confusion, "Senior Brother, what’s wrong?"

Su Yu told Sun Wukong what he was thinking. Sun Wukong waved it off indifferently. "Why care about all that? Today, I’m definitely going to teach the Heavenly Court a lesson! Even if I die, I won’t regret it!"

Hearing this, Su Yu smiled. "Don’t worry. You won’t die. Spirit Mountain isn’t ruled by Tathagata alone. He can’t kill you!"

"Why?" Sun Wukong asked doubtfully.

Su Yu did not explain. He couldn’t exactly tell Sun Wukong that the other Buddhas wanted to use him, a spirit monkey born of heaven and earth, to undertake the pilgrimage, save all living beings, and become Buddhism’s lackey, could he?

Su Yu did not give a reason, and Sun Wukong did not press him further. Fully armed, the two flew toward the Southern Heavenly Gate.

Sun Wukong and Su Yu descended from the sky and landed directly atop the Southern Heavenly Gate.

Bang!

The tremendous crash as they landed instantly drew all the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals over. Sun Wukong grinned. "Senior Brother, let’s see who kills more!"

"Sure." Su Yu agreed with a smile.

Sun Wukong immediately rushed forward. "Then this junior brother will go first."

As he spoke, Sun Wukong directly used the Clone Technique, instantly creating hundreds, even thousands, of Sun Wukongs. Su Yu smiled. "Junior Brother, your senior brother knows that too."

As he spoke, Su Yu also created over a thousand clones, then charged straight into battle.

Su Yu’s main body looked around, found an area packed with Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, then flew above them. Holding his spear horizontally, Su Yu shouted, "Phoenix Descends from the Nine Heavens!"

Su Yu smashed his spear downward, and suddenly, the cry of a phoenix rang out.

Kreee—

Then, a phantom phoenix appeared around Su Yu. As the Dragongallbladder Bright Silver Spear smashed downward, the phoenix phantom charged down with it. The Heavenly Soldiers and Generals below were so terrified that they immediately fled. Before the spear technique had even struck, they had already trampled their own comrades to death.

Boom!

The phoenix and spear slammed into the ground, instantly blasting all the surrounding Heavenly Soldiers and Generals into dust.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong shouted, "Senior Brother, that’s cheating!"

Su Yu laughed. "Haha, Junior Brother, I merely used my spear technique. How is that cheating? You can use a staff technique too."

Sun Wukong looked at Su Yu gloomily. What staff technique did he know? Just like Su Yu in the past, he was merely wielding the As-You-Wish Golden Cudgel with brute force.

The Heavenly Soldiers and Generals at the Southern Heavenly Gate were quickly dealt with by Su Yu and Sun Wukong. Relying on Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix and Phoenix Descends from the Nine Heavens, Su Yu could kill a whole group with a single move, so he had slain far more immortal soldiers than Sun Wukong.

Su Yu and Sun Wukong fought their way in. Whenever they encountered immortals who tried to stop them, they attacked without a word. With Sun Wukong’s current strength, no one could stop them. Those who came forward only did so to stall for time.

Lingxiao Palace

Su Yu and Sun Wukong soon arrived inside Lingxiao Palace. Jade Emperor sat above, staring at them. "Su Yu, I never expected you to join this demon monkey in causing trouble!"

Su Yu smiled. "Old Jade Emperor, I still have a score to settle with you!"

Bang!

"Hmph! Don’t think that this demon monkey can do whatever he wants just because he suddenly reached the Taiyi Heavenly Immortal realm!" Jade Emperor slammed his palm down onto the table.

Sun Wukong’s face darkened with fury. He leaped directly onto Jade Emperor’s table, grabbed Jade Emperor by the collar, and said, "Old Jade Emperor, have you ever heard this saying? The emperor’s throne changes hands; next year, it’ll be my turn. I think the Jade Emperor’s seat should be mine for a while."

Jade Emperor flew into a rage. "Demon monkey! Don’t go too far! How could the Jade Emperor’s throne be occupied by a monster like you? Once my true body leaves seclusion, I will surely cut you down!"

Sun Wukong sneered. "Cut me down? That depends on whether you have the ability!"

With that, Sun Wukong smashed Jade Emperor’s clone with a single staff strike. At that moment, a voice descended from the sky. "Wretched creature, will you not stop at once?!"

Sun Wukong stopped and looked outside together with Su Yu. Sun Wukong sneered. "Senior Brother, let’s go meet that bald Tathagata!"

"Alright!"

The two flew atop Lingxiao Palace. Tathagata was currently using Law Manifestation of Heaven and Earth as he looked down at Su Yu and Sun Wukong. Tathagata said furiously, "Su Yu, so you were here too! This time, I won’t let you escape!"

Su Yu said disdainfully, "Fine, fine. It’s true that I can’t beat you right now, but you want to catch me? Don’t even dream about it for the rest of your life."

Tathagata’s expression turned ugly, but that was the truth. He simply could not see through Su Yu’s methods of escape.
