Finally, It’s My Turn to Make an Entrance

The two Tyrannosaurus Rexes, each nearly fifteen meters long, were visually overwhelming even standing still. The land-dominating apex predators from sixty-five million years ago, combined with all the invincible halos humanity had bestowed upon them, stunned the Research Team the moment they appeared.

"Oh, shit! No one said there would be things like this on the island!"

"They see us as food…"

Seeing the team descend into chaos, Commander Colonel Packard immediately barked an order, making everyone form up. "Shut up, all of you! They’re just two upright lizards. What’s there to be afraid of? Set up the heavy machine guns."

With Colonel Packard, the backbone who had formed the Avengers, present, the soldiers quickly recovered. They swiftly set up the heavy machine guns, loaded the ammunition belts, and even laid out grenades on the ground in advance.

"Professor Rand, take your people and fall back. James, you’re responsible for protecting them. Keep an eye on the surroundings!"

Colonel Packard continued issuing orders. The combat-ineffective Research Team immediately retreated, while James, the former British agent hired by the team, nodded and calmly picked up his M4 rifle to chamber a round.

This former agent James, with the face of a British drama star, was the Loki Russell had mentioned. But this was the MonsterVerse. He couldn’t use magic, nor did he have a pot-bellied older brother who doted on him.

Captain Marvel had it even worse. Her face wasn’t as large as in the other universe, and her earth-shattering combat power had been severely reduced. She was a war correspondent who made a living with her camera, named Weaver.

As for Professor Rand, he was the initiator of this operation and belonged to Earth’s most mysterious organization—the Monarch Organization!

The organization was dedicated to tracking down and eliminating mysterious creatures to protect humanity. Put simply, they loved courting death in all sorts of ways—and had succeeded many times.

Back to the matter at hand, the two Tyrannosaurus Rexes slowly approached. Their thick hind legs trampled the ground, their savage heads brimming with killing intent. Inside their slightly opened bloody maws, teeth as thick as a child’s arm gleamed with a cold, ghostly light.

The two Tyrannosaurus Rexes had been searching for food and rushed over after hearing the gunfire. They had not initially regarded the Research Team as prey. Their immense size meant enormous consumption, and they rarely attacked small creatures. But when they saw these weak little creatures they had dismissed actually daring to provoke them, they were immediately enraged.

As an important part of Skull Island’s food chain, Tyrannosaurus Rex meat was tender and chewy, beloved by top predators. As a result, they had always tucked their tails between their legs and lingered around the outer regions, barely making a living by bullying weaklings.

Now even the weaklings dared challenge their rule over the outer regions. How could they tolerate that?

"Roar roar roar—"

A foul wind swept through the air. Bloodlust flashed in the Tyrannosaurus Rexes’ dark golden eyes, saliva dripped from their jaws, and they kicked off with their thick legs to charge.

Three hundred meters… two hundred meters… one hundred meters…

"Fire!!"

Colonel Packard shouted and pulled the trigger first. In an instant, tongues of flame erupted as metal bullets burst from the barrels with lethal force.

Rat-tat-tat-tat—

The power of firearms needed no explanation. Even though the two Tyrannosaurus Rexes could defeat every dinosaur with their massive bodies and sturdy muscles, when faced with humanity’s metal storm, they still went down when it was time to go down.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

Blood sprayed everywhere as bullets struck the Tyrannosaurus Rexes’ bodies, drilling desperately into the depths. Some punched straight through, leaving gaping holes, while others shattered their internal organs. At the slightest touch, their powerful bodies became like butter beneath a hot knife, instantly reduced to mush.

The battle came quickly and ended just as quickly. In less than half a minute, the soldiers ceased fire under Colonel Packard’s command.

In the end, the land overlords of sixty-five million years ago only sounded impressive. Like all other dinosaurs, they had hatched from eggs. No matter how tough their muscles were, they could not escape the limits of flesh and blood before bullets.

In other words, they had already been obsolete for sixty-five million years!

"Roar roar roar—"

The roars continued, but they no longer carried the same piercing force. The two Tyrannosaurus Rexes were on their last breaths, and their roars sounded more like mournful cries before death.

"Yes, that was awesome! Ms. Weaver, hurry and take a picture of me. I killed this Tyrannosaurus Rex. You have to record this moment!" A Black soldier carried his gun over to the Tyrannosaurus Rex, bent his arm into a pose, and showed off his muscular bicep.

"Damn it, you didn’t kill it alone. I contributed too."

"Me too. Don’t think you can take all the credit."

"…"

The soldiers noisily engaged in Playful Trick, relaxing the nerves strained by battle. Colonel Packard scolded them a few times but did not stop them. He knew it would help the soldiers overcome their fear.

Just then, the eight Huskies surrounding the Research Team suddenly began barking wildly. They lowered their heads toward one direction, baring their teeth and growling viciously. Their usual silly, adorable faces were now filled with ferocity, as if they wanted to choose someone to devour.

"Colonel Packard, there’s something else nearby!!" James immediately shouted. The Huskies had warned them in advance when they had stumbled into the giant python’s nest, and he deeply trusted this suddenly appearing Dog Pack.

"Everyone, get back into position! Form that damned formation and change into fresh magazines, now!!"

Colonel Packard also trusted the Dog Pack greatly. Neither the giant python nor the Tyrannosaurus Rexes had made them act so threateningly. The creature about to appear had to be even more terrifying.

Colonel Packard ran through the monsters on the island more terrifying than Tyrannosaurus Rexes. The only one he could think of was that giant Kong. Because of it, the helicopter squadron that had ventured deep into the island had nearly been wiped out, and more than half of Colonel Packard’s soldiers had died.

Colonel Packard held nothing but hatred for Kong. He had led the survivors deeper into the island not to help the expedition complete its mission, but to find weapons at the crashed helicopters and kill Kong to avenge the soldiers who had died so tragically.

The soldiers stood ready, raising their guns and aiming toward the direction the Dog Pack was watching. No creature appeared ahead, but the ground trembled more and more violently.

Boom!!

Two hundred meters away, the smooth earth suddenly bulged and exploded. A cloud of pale yellow gas burst forth, the ground collapsed into a deep pit, and the roar of some unknown giant beast echoed from within.

"Roar roar roar—"

Two enormous black claws reached out from the pit, followed by a white triangular head. Keratinous bones clung to its skull like a mask, while a pair of miserable green eyes radiated a chilling savagery.

Skull Crawler!

The underground overlord of Skull Island, a reptilian monster resembling a giant lizard. It had a long serpentine tail, abnormally powerful forelimbs, immense strength, and a gaping mouth full of hooked teeth.

Skull Crawlers were the demons of the island. They possessed no basic reverence for other forms of life, appearing and disappearing unpredictably while being vicious and brutal. Their bite force was terrifying, making them the island’s most offensively powerful monsters.

"Fire! Everyone, fire!!"

The moment the Skull Crawler appeared, Colonel Packard immediately gave the order. The unknown giant beast before him instinctively filled him with fear. It was far more terrifying than the Tyrannosaurus Rexes.

Rat-tat-tat-tat—

Fire Snakes roared as another rain of metal bullets fell.

"Finally, it’s my turn to make an entrance!" Russell shook out his black robe. He had been watching the show the whole time, and now he could finally show off again.

Getting into the Research Team and making them lower their guard enough to cooperate with a few photos would be easy. He only needed to save them at a critical moment. Then even a great demon king could become a savior, not to mention his current BOSS outfit.

"Woof woof woof!!"

The Huskies at his feet barked frantically. Just as Russell was about to soothe them, their entire demeanor abruptly changed. Their fur stood up like steel needles, and their bodies began to expand.

Seven Huskies ran with vigorous strides. As they ran, their body structures gradually mutated, shifting from moving on all fours to running on their hind legs. One after another, they transformed into gigantic Werewolves four meters tall.

Fangs and claws, inverted-triangle bodies, explosively muscular limbs, and grayish-white fur covering their entire bodies with a faint metallic sheen. Especially those sharp beast eyes—the coldness they radiated made people tremble with fear and unable to look directly at them.

"They… really are wolves!?" Ying Yingying stared blankly at Russell, her open mouth full of shock.

Why are you looking at me? How the hell would I know!

"Hmph! Of course they are. I told you from the very beginning…" Russell coughed lightly. "Well then, the battle plan has changed. We’re making our entrance another way!"
