Five Hundred Suits of Armor

"Is this 1943?"

After passing through the Dimensional Gate, Xu Jia and Chen Mu arrived in this world. Xu Jia looked around curiously.

Once they saw this world, the Dimensional Gate vanished.

The Dimensional Gate they had used this time was only temporary. To establish a permanent Dimensional Gate, they needed to find suitable locations and set up equipment on both sides.

Only then could the Dimensional Gate remain open long-term.

This time, Chen Mu had come directly to the world of 1943 instead of going to the space where Uatu was.

Chen Mu now knew that compared to the space where the Watchers resided, time passed incredibly quickly in the other multiverses.

He had stayed there for less than a few minutes in total, yet when he came out, half a year had already passed in his own world.

Chen Mu did not want to return to the multiverse in a daze only to find that decades had passed.

So if he could avoid going there, he would.

He would rather spend that time properly researching new technology and strengthening the military.

"Let’s go straight to Old Li’s base. We still need to deliver what we promised him."

Chen Mu smiled, nodded in answer to Xu Jia’s question, then took out his phone to check Old Li’s current location.

Every suit of Kirin Armor was controlled by the Hongmeng System, and naturally had a positioning system, so they could directly locate Old Li.

"Huh? Old Li went out to sea?"

After checking the location, Chen Mu could not help but feel curious.

According to the map, Old Li was actually piloting his Kirin Armor over the distant ocean.

"Hey, Old Li, where are you?"

"Huh? Brother Chen? Where are you? How can I hear your voice?"

Old Li’s curious voice came through the phone.

"I’m talking to you on the phone. Why did you run out to sea?"

"Phone? Do I have a phone line connected to me?"

"But I really am at sea right now. I just blew up two Little Japan troop transports. This armor is incredible. That one attack must have killed tens of thousands of those Little Japanese bastards."

"…"

Good lord, he was actually using the Kirin Armor to blow up troop transports. But with the Kirin Armor’s firepower, it truly was invincible in this era.

There were simply no anti-air weapons that could threaten it. Even in later generations, few anti-air weapons could pose a threat to the Kirin Armor. Destroying a few shabby ships was no pressure at all for it.

"On my way back to headquarters, I heard news about Little Japan’s troop transports and rushed over without stopping. Luckily, those bastards hadn’t landed yet. Otherwise, our comrades might have been in danger."

"It’s just a shame about Little Japan’s weapons and equipment. They all sank into the sea. Otherwise, we could have equipped another independent regiment."

Where did Old Li’s equipment come from? Hadn’t it all been seized from the enemy?

So when those weapons and equipment sank into the sea, it felt as though his own belongings had sunk with them.

It truly pained him!

"What would you want that trash equipment for? Let it sink. There’s nothing to regret."

Chen Mu naturally did not think much of the weapons of this era.

"Heh, you can’t put it that way. To us, Little Japan’s weapons are still very advanced."

Wasn’t that true? Which of the soldiers of this era had not emerged from the harshest circumstances? Their Fear of Insufficient Firepower had been cultivated from this very period.

To people of Old Li’s generation, every bullet was precious. Having them all sink into the sea really was a pity.

"I heard Little Japan’s Izumo-class aircraft carrier is nearby. I was planning to wipe them out first."

"By the way, Brother Chen, you’re back so soon? The equipment for that battalion you promised me…?"

Chen Mu had returned in less than a day, and Old Li truly felt uneasy about it.

He had come back so quickly. Could the equipment for one battalion that he had promised really be prepared so fast?

At any rate, Old Li was doubtful.

"Don’t worry. It’s already prepared. Once you come back, I’ll hand it over to you."

Chen Mu merely chuckled and did not take it too seriously.

"Since you’re still busy dealing with Little Japan’s aircraft carrier, I won’t disturb you. I’ll first hand the armor over to the other comrades…"

"Don’t, don’t! I’ll be right back. The Kirin Armor flies very fast. I’ll be back in no time. Wait for me."

How could Old Li possibly sit still after hearing that? He immediately prepared to set off and return to Chen Mu’s side.

"There’s no need to hurry. The Kirin Armor has another function I didn’t have time to show you before. It can open a portal. You can open one and go directly wherever you want. It’s very convenient."

As he spoke, Chen Mu used the Hongmeng System to control the Kirin Armor and opened a portal in front of Old Li.

"Holy shit, that’s damn amazing!"

On the other side of the portal was the Kirin Armor Old Li was piloting.

The armor was currently flying through the air. Seeing the portal appear, Old Li froze in place.

The previous weapons and equipment could still be explained as technological progress, but what the hell was this portal?

Though his mind was full of questions, Old Li still flew through the portal.

"Brother Chen, where’s the equipment for my battalion?"

To Old Li, nothing was more important than the equipment for his battalion.

With a smile on his face, Old Li stepped out of the armor and stared at Chen Mu, rubbing his hands together as he asked with raised brows.

"Where is it? Let me see."

Having personally experienced the armor’s power, Old Li could think only of getting the equipment, outfitting his troops, and driving every little Japanese devil in the country back into their mothers’ wombs.

"Find a place first, then I’ll give you the goods."

Chen Mu laughed helplessly. "I prepared five hundred suits of Kirin Armor like this for you. That should be enough for one battalion, right?"

Old Li’s independent regiment currently had only a few thousand men. Five hundred suits of Kirin Armor were more than enough to equip one battalion.

Besides, the Kirin Armor’s power could absolutely let one man stand against ten thousand in this era.

If these five hundred suits of armor were truly equipped by Old Li’s regiment, Chen Mu had every confidence that they could eliminate all the invaders.

"Five hundred suits?"

Old Li was so excited that his mouth stretched into a wide grin. With five hundred suits of armor, who cared what demons or monsters came their way? They would all be destroyed.

"Where are they? My five hundred suits of Kirin Armor?"

Old Li was overflowing with excitement, his face blooming with joy.

"Once you select five hundred soldiers, I can hand them over to you."

Chen Mu did not want to waste any time either. He looked toward Xu Jia, intending to have her help deliver all those suits of armor to Old Li’s troops.
