Ghost Rider?
Since Kyle had thought that the Goddess of Death could also use the Eternal Fire to create subordinates, he was not terribly surprised by Hellfire’s birth.
What he did not know was that the stronger the creature, the harder it was to successfully create through the rebirth granted by the Eternal Fire.
The materials the Goddess of Death used to create her undead army consisted of the loyal souls of soldiers who had once followed her, while the corpses came from Asgardian soldiers who had died full of resentment. Naturally, mass-produced creatures would not be overly powerful.
But the materials Kyle had used to create this creature were Abomination and the God of War!
When they had been alive, they had both been top-tier creatures capable of dominating an entire starfield, even in the vast universe.
Their pure physical combat strength had not differed much, and both were powerful creatures focused on enhancing their physiques. Their compatibility was practically perfect, and thus Hellfire, this one-of-a-kind fire-elemental evil spirit, had been ingeniously created.
Inside the hall, Hellfire could not speak. Its towering, muscular monstrous body stood like a guardian deity at the gates of hell, with only ghostly green flames coiling around its surface as they burned.
Yutong gazed at Hellfire, silver light flowing through her eyes.
The next moment, her delicate body trembled slightly. Her face paled as she said, "I can’t read its thoughts—once my telekinesis gets close, it feels like it’s being burned to ashes by those flames."
"Immune to psychic attacks?" Kyle stroked his chin. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly gave an order. "Raise your hands!"
Hellfire immediately obeyed. It raised both hands somewhat comically, its flaming eyes staring at him blankly.
"Attack me once with one hand." Kyle continued. He wanted to conduct a simple test of Hellfire’s strength.
Hellfire did not think much about it. Its raised left hand clenched into a fist, and it stepped forward before violently throwing a punch. The chains wrapped around its wrist clanged beneath the forceful strike.
Its movements were somewhat slow and heavy, but the ghostly flame on its left fist surged fiercely as a destructive pressure swept outward.
Despite having prepared himself, Kyle’s expression still changed slightly. Without using Venom, he met the punch head-on with his bare fist!
Two fists of vastly different sizes slammed together!
Bang!
It was not merely an astonishing collision of force against force. Green ghostfire and golden divine flame also erupted and clashed, instantly causing scorching shockwaves to burst through the room.
The entire Emperor Building trembled as if in an earthquake. Centered on Kyle and Hellfire, the powerful streams of superheated air shattered the floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the hall into fragments.
Yutong was forced to spread her hands, using telekinesis to form a repulsive protective barrier that blocked the flames and shockwaves while also shielding the Visi mechanical body nearby.
"Stop!" Kyle shouted.
Hellfire immediately withdrew its fist and took a step back, returning to its blank, statue-like state.
It was as if that punch, filled with violent and destructive power, had not been thrown by it at all.
Kyle let out a breath and lightly waved his left hand. The divine flames protecting his palm extinguished and dissipated.
So strong! It was absolutely no weaker than the Hulk or Abomination, and its offensive methods were even more varied.
That punch only carried around twenty tons of force, but it had the enhancement of high-temperature flames and was accompanied by passive psychic damage!
As expected of a creation of the Eternal Fire, the ghostly flames on Hellfire’s body could actually ignore part of an opponent’s defenses, indirectly scorching their soul and mind.
"Unfortunately, its self-awareness still isn’t high enough. It only has the intelligence of a six-year-old child. Luckily, it obeys my commands completely, so it’s more than capable of serving as a meat shield, bodyguard, or guardian. It just can’t fly, and its movements are a little slow…"
As Kyle thought this, he suddenly waved his left hand and drew out a card he had not paid attention to in a long time.
Rare Blue Creature Card: Black Flame Horse.
Kyle immediately activated the summon.
The next instant, a tall and majestic black horse appeared in the center of the hall with an enraged neigh. It was covered in dark armored scales and stepped upon black flames.
At the sight, Yutong and the three Artificial Intelligences within the mechanical bodies were all stunned, unable to guess what their Patriarch was plotting this time.
The Black Flame Horse stood beside Hellfire. The combination of a strange beast and an evil spirit somehow did not feel out of place at all.
Kyle’s eyes lit up slightly. He had previously felt that a flashy and eye-catching mount like the Black Flame Horse was useless to him.
But now, Hellfire was the perfect match for the Black Flame Horse. They could make up for each other’s weaknesses and become the Karl family’s strongest long-term guardian spirit.
"Hellfire riding a horse… wouldn’t that make it Ghost Rider?"
Kyle pondered to himself. By accident, he seemed to have created something extraordinary.
He even wanted Hellfire to mount the Black Flame Horse and give it a try right away, but after looking around at the devastated hall, he could only decisively abandon that extravagant idea.
If they tested it again, there would be no home left to test in.
Kyle’s interest remained undiminished. Just as he was preparing to change locations and try again, Visi suddenly received a communication request and issued a voice prompt. "Master, Nick Fury is requesting a communication link with you."
"Fury?" Kyle was surprised. After considering it, he nodded. "He wouldn’t call unless it was urgent. Put him through."
Ten minutes later.
Brooklyn District, Harlem Street, S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters building.
A private helicopter landed in front of the entrance. Before the cabin door had even opened, Fury, who had been waiting outside to receive him, strode forward decisively in a black trench coat. His bald head and single eye were unmistakable.
The cabin door opened, and Kyle, wearing sunglasses, stepped off alone.
Yutong had to arrange a place for Hellfire, so she had not accompanied him on this trip.
Kyle watched Fury approach and raised an eyebrow in mild dissatisfaction. "Fury. What happened that you couldn’t tell me over the phone? Why did you have to call me all the way to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters?"
"It naturally concerns an important future plan and decision for S.H.I.E.L.D. We need you, our Chief Advisor, to provide professional advice and guidance." Fury forced a gentle smile onto his fierce face.
"A plan?" Kyle glanced at him, then changed the subject. "By the way, where have you sent Steve off to this time?"
At that, Fury’s expression turned somewhat unpleasant. After hesitating, he said, "He’s overseas. One of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s ships was hijacked by pirates. The captain and Natasha are carrying out the rescue."
"A S.H.I.E.L.D. ship was hijacked by pirates, and you sent Steve?" Kyle was speechless for a moment, nearly suspecting he had misheard.
It was like a middle schooler getting bullied by an elementary schooler, then calling a college student to get revenge.
"Don’t worry. They can handle that trouble without issue." Fury let out a breath, patted Kyle on the shoulder, and led him into the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters building.
"What comes next is the real priority!"
Both men possessed S.H.I.E.L.D.’s highest clearance. Ignoring the complicated password checkpoints along the way, they passed through the ground-floor lobby and took the elevator down to the deepest underground level.
The wait lasted a long half-minute, as though they had descended more than a dozen floors.
When they reached the lowest level, the elevator doors opened.
Fury stepped out first and said in a low voice, "Kyle, I need you to tell me whether what we’ve built here is right or wrong."
Kyle frowned, then stepped out of the elevator. The enormous thing before him made his Golden Pupils contract slightly in astonishment.
