Gifts
"Are you really giving out gifts, Master? What gifts?"
Skye was overjoyed. Given her Master’s current status and standing, the gifts definitely would not be modest. After all, he was a Creator God—plucking out a single leg hair would still be thicker than someone else’s thigh.
"I don’t need a gift."
Carol shook her head. "Master, you’ve already helped me so much. Without you, I’d still be a frog at the bottom of a well."
"These are the rules. We’ll go one by one."
Wang Bert smiled. "First is Trish. Trish, have you really decided not to continue being a Super Hero?"
"Yes. With Jessica gone, there’s no point in being a Super Hero alone. From now on, I’ll focus on being a reporter and host."
Trish said, "Actually, that’s the work I truly enjoy."
"Fine, then. This is the Clone Demon God. After you fuse with it, you’ll be able to create a large number of clones. Then, you’ll never have to worry about not having enough time."
Wang Bert took out a ball of red light and the Serpent Crown. "This is the Serpent Crown. It possesses all kinds of strange abilities and can split into many small crowns. With it, your clones will not only be able to contact you at any time, but also teleport between each other.
"Trish, Earth is too small. The universe is your future."
"A Demon God and the Serpent Crown?"
Trish knelt before Wang Bert and said gratefully, "Thank you, Master."
Trish was truly grateful to Wang Bert. Without her Master, she would probably have already been eliminated by the entertainment industry. Not to mention that he had always cared for her so much.
"I told you already, people of the Dragon Subduing Sect do not kneel."
Wang Bert waved his hand and had Trish stand. Trish nodded, took the two items, and began fusing with them.
"Starting off with a Demon God-level treasure and a super divine artifact? He really is a Creator God."
Skye was full of anticipation. Even Carol was somewhat tempted. She did not care about ordinary things, but the things her Master gave were obviously anything but ordinary.
"Next is Jessica. To be honest, Jessica, I don’t know what gift to prepare for you."
Wang Bert turned to Jessica and said, "Because I don’t know what your dream is. After thinking it over, all I could prepare was a flask. I got it from a Demon God. The wine inside can never be drunk dry."
"A flask with endless wine? Master, you really understand me."
The alcoholic Jessica eagerly took the flask. She happily took a sip and said, "Master, I never had a dream before, but now I do. I want to become the Pirate Queen, roam the universe, and leave behind a legend throughout the cosmos."
"The Pirate Queen? Are you also planning to bury some treasure for future generations to find?"
Wang Bert teased her. After thinking for a moment, he took a red gemstone from his pocket and said, "This is Cyttorak’s Crimson Gem. Once you wear it, you can gain the Crimson God’s power.
"I’ve added the Concept of Power to it. If you can comprehend it, you may have a chance of becoming an Ancient God in the future."
"A chance of becoming an Ancient God? Thank you, Master."
Jessica was overjoyed and immediately accepted the gemstone. Skye asked, "Master, won’t borrowing a Demon God’s power lead to corruption by the Demon God?"
Wang Bert smiled. "Don’t worry, it won’t, because she’ll be borrowing my power, not the Crimson God’s."
"That’s good." Skye nodded and said no more.
"Next is you, Mindy."
With a flick of Wang Bert’s hand, the enormous Surtur’s Crown appeared in his palm. Then, with a thought, the crown rapidly shrank.
Mindy looked disgusted. "Master, you’re not giving me that, are you? It’s so ugly."
"You don’t know quality when you see it."
Wang Bert said, "This is Surtur’s Crown. In a parallel universe, Surtur became a Fire Giant taller than mountains and destroyed Asgard.
"The consciousness within the crown has already been completely erased by me. I’ve also added the Concept of Fire to it. Slowly absorb its power, and one day, you will become the Fire Lord."
To let Mindy understand how powerful Surtur was, Wang Bert even played footage of Hela fighting Surtur.
When Little Hela saw Hela get smashed into the seabed by a single sword strike, she immediately shouted in displeasure, "Master, don’t show this kind of embarrassing history, okay?"
Wang Bert laughed. "It’s Hela’s embarrassing history, not yours."
"So powerful?"
Mindy immediately snatched the crown away and said with a sweet smile, "Thank you, Master. I’ll definitely become the strongest Super Hero in the universe."
"It’s good to have dreams. Work hard."
Wang Bert nodded. Then, he turned his gaze to Little Hela and said, "Your goal—or rather, your ambition—is great. Master can only give you some help in terms of strength."
After saying that, Wang Bert took a white heart from his pocket. The moment it appeared, it shone with boundless light, making everyone unable to look directly at it.
The white light from the heart was no ordinary white light. It was a holy white radiance. Everyone felt as though they had been cleansed, as if they were floating toward immortality.
Little Hela sucked in a breath and said, "Master, don’t tell me this is God’s Heart?"
Everyone was shocked. Had their Master actually killed God? Wasn’t that a little too outrageous? Wang Bert clarified, "This is indeed God’s Heart, but I didn’t kill God. He gave it to me willingly."
Everyone looked unconvinced. Who would give their own heart to someone else?
Wang Bert said unhappily, "What kind of looks are those? Do you think I’m some kind of villain who kills people for their treasures?"
"Unfortunately, you are."
Jessica said this, and the women all laughed. Wang Bert glared at Jessica. He had spoiled this girl for nothing.
Wang Bert said, "Hela, fuse with God’s Heart. From now on, you will be the embodiment of light."
"This is much cooler than Hela’s abilities."
Little Hela beamed and immediately took God’s Heart, merging it into her body.
Because she had not fully absorbed it, Little Hela’s entire body glowed white, making her look like a deity. Hela did not care about that at all. She took out her phone and snapped a flurry of selfies, preparing to show off on social media.
Wang Bert could not help laughing. He turned to Carol and smiled. "Carol, I know you’ve always wanted to challenge me, but the gap between us is rather large. You’ll need to work harder in the future."
"Master, I won’t give up."
Carol spoke with great determination. Naturally, she would not give up so easily.
"You must walk your own path."
Wang Bert took out a glittering gemstone and said, "This is a Space Stone I refined myself. With it, you can not only comprehend the mysteries of space, but also absorb the power of the universe. It’s equivalent to a personal version of the Space Stone."
"A Space Stone?"
Carol was stunned. She accepted the Space Stone and said gratefully, "Thank you, Master."
All of Carol’s power came from the Space Stone, so the thing most suitable for her was naturally another Space Stone.
Wang Bert clapped his hands and said, "All right, that should be about it…"
Skye, who had been waiting for ages, hurriedly shouted, "Master, what about me?"
Wang Bert knowingly asked, "Don’t you already have King’s Glory?"
Skye shamelessly demanded, "That doesn’t count. Master, can you give me an Ancient God as a puppet?"
"You really dare to ask. What do you think Ancient Gods are?"
Wang Bert rolled his eyes. Then, he flipped his hand, and a small world appeared in his palm. He said, "This is the Dragon World. I’ll merge it into your body and completely transform you.
"Then, both your chi and your vibration ability will increase greatly. Not only that, I’ve fused the Concept of Vibration into it. If you can comprehend it, you’ll also have a chance of becoming an Ancient God in the future."
Skye was overjoyed and said gratefully, "I knew Master wouldn’t shortchange me."
"If I didn’t give it to you, would you start cursing me?"
Wang Bert shook his head and sent the Dragon World into Skye’s body.
Then, Wang Bert said, "The graduation gifts I’ve given you are merely paths toward higher realms. To reach the end, you must rely on your own efforts."
"We understand."
The disciples all nodded. If they did not work hard themselves, even the finest treasures would be useless.
"Very good. I’ve given you everything I should. From this moment onward, you have officially graduated."
Wang Bert said, "Perform well in the universe. Don’t disappoint your Master."
"Yes, Master."
The women respectfully saluted Wang Bert at the same time. Being able to take Wang Bert as their Master was the greatest fortune of their lives.
Wang Bert sighed in an old-fashioned manner. "From now on, it will be your era. Your Master can retire."
The women were speechless. They all gave Wang Bert the middle finger at once. He was only in his twenties, for crying out loud. What was he pretending for?
"Go back and tell your Grand Duchess Sarah that I will never join her side. No matter how many benefits you offer, I will not betray my friends."
Inside the embassy, Thor angrily drove away the Shi’ar Empire’s envoy. What did that guy take him for, coming here to buy him off? He was Thor, the God of Thunder, the most loyal and honorable man around!
The bearded dwarf Volstagg cursed, "Thor, you should have beaten him up. Asgardians never betray their friends."
"That’s right."
The other two warriors shouted as well. Only Sif asked, "Thor, are you really not tempted? The Shi’ar Empire promised to help you become an elder."
Thor said firmly, "I do want to become an elder, but I will never betray my friends."
"That’s Thor."
Sif smiled and did not try to persuade him. Though this was not what a qualified king should do, everyone knew Thor had never been qualified in the first place.
"Since he can’t become an elder, we can only ally with the Inhuman Kingdom. Skye is the Blood God’s disciple. With her around, Asgard’s interests won’t suffer."
After thinking for a moment, Sif said, "I’ll go find her and tell her about what the Shi’ar Empire just did."
"Wouldn’t that be inappropriate?"
Thor hesitated. Just as Sif was about to speak, the door was kicked open with a bang, and three figures swaggered in.
The figure in the middle radiated holy, dazzling light from her entire body, like a deity. It was Little Hela. The two beside her were Valkyrie and Brunhilde.
"Who dared kick down my door?"
Thor was furious at first, but then he recognized the visitors and asked in surprise, "Hela, why have you become like this?"
"Poor absorption. It’ll be fine in a few days."
Little Hela casually waved her hand and asked, "Thor, don’t you think I look a lot like someone?"
"Someone?"
Everyone was somewhat startled and stared at Little Hela. After a moment, Fandral cried out in horror, "You look a lot like Hela—like a younger version of Hela."
Everyone froze. Looking more carefully, they realized it was true. The reason they had not noticed before was, on one hand, because their temperaments were completely different, and on the other, because Little Hela was younger than Hela.
Thor said bluntly, "You’re sisters. It’s normal that you look alike."
"Idiot."
Little Hela cursed. "I am Hela. More accurately, I’m another Hela."
Little Hela briefly explained what had happened back then, leaving everyone astonished. Things were actually this complicated? Though they now knew the truth, no one held much hostility toward Little Hela. After all, she was not the Goddess of Death. Thor laughed and said, "So you really are my older sister. No, wait, you were born after me, so you should still be my younger sister."
"Isn’t your focus a little off?"
Little Hela complained. "Forget it, I can’t be bothered to explain. I came this time to help you deal with Hela. After all, I’m also part of Asgard. Oh, right, let me introduce them. The two behind me are Valkyries. The Valkyrie Army belongs to me now."
Thor’s eyes lit up, and he excitedly asked the Valkyries, "Valkyries? Really?"
"Why are you so excited? We already gave our lives for Odin once. We will not return to Asgard."
Valkyrie said with an annoyed expression. Thor waved his hand indifferently. "That’s not what I meant. When I was little, I always wanted to become a Valkyrie."
"Huh?"
Everyone present stared at Thor in astonishment. They had never expected this big, burly man to have such a hobby.
Valkyrie looked disgusted. Was there not a single normal person in Odin’s family? "What kind of looks are those? Back then, I didn’t know Valkyries had to be women."
Thor shouted unhappily. Then, he said to the two Valkyries, "I don’t know what happened between you and the Asgardian royal family, but I’m very grateful for what you did. Also, I respect your decision."
Valkyrie and Brunhilde’s expressions softened somewhat. Thor might not have much of a brain, but he truly was a passionate and righteous man.
Little Hela sighed. "It’s a pity you don’t have much of a brain. Otherwise, you would have been a good king."
Thor shouted unhappily, "Who says I don’t have a brain? Hela, I’m your older brother."
"You’re the younger brother."
Little Hela emphasized this, then asked, "Did the Shi’ar Empire send someone to see you just now?"
"Yes. They wanted me to participate in tomorrow’s competition."
Thor gave a brief explanation, then sneered. "The Shi’ar Empire really doesn’t know its place. I, Thor Odinson, would never betray my friends."
Little Hela glanced at Thor and said, "From Asgard’s perspective, you should participate in this battle."
Thor was puzzled. "Why? We Asgardians never betray our friends."
"Whether you admit it or not, Asgard has already declined. You could see it from how the various representatives behaved today."
Ignoring Thor’s dark expression, Little Hela continued, "If you want to restore Asgard, you must become an elder.
"Once you successfully become an elder, Asgard can rapidly grow stronger with the alliance’s power. It may even surpass the glorious era of Odin and become the third great empire."
"The third great empire?"
Everyone swallowed. Thor could not help asking, "Could there really be such huge benefits?"
Little Hela nodded first, then asked in disbelief, "Of course there are. Wait, don’t tell me you never thought of this at all before?"
The five of them immediately felt somewhat embarrassed. They truly had never considered it.
Thor had negative intelligence. The Warriors Three had nothing but muscles in their heads. Sif had decent talent, but because of Thor, she had become a muscle-bound woman, wasting her talent for nothing.
Little Hela and the two Valkyries all covered their faces. With a king, queen, and ministers like these, it would be a miracle if Asgard did not perish.
