God-Slaying Plan

Whoosh~

Fwoosh!

For advanced reincarnators who had entered the Third Tier, most had supplemented their mobility in one way or another.

Especially in an established gathering like the Far East Magic Society, nearly everyone had equipped themselves with highly mobile vehicles or abilities.

The group turned into several arcs and swiftly flew out of the covert military base, which no longer showed any signs of life, heading in three different directions.

Bai Cangshu and Artoria stood on a blue-and-white single-person craft, trailing clouds through the sky. Their flight speed was not particularly fast.

Tree Herder, meanwhile, flew through the sea of clouds without any support. The glowing green blood beneath his skin visibly began to flow, and his flying posture was remarkably relaxed.

"His Excellency Mercenary Tao, this God-Slaying Plan you mentioned… what exactly is it?"

Tree Herder possessed a special talent that allowed him to accommodate multiple bloodlines. Through a trade, he had ultimately acquired the Tree Herder bloodline from Sword of Amber.

This was a bloodline inclined toward technical capabilities. It could use the blood of various gods to create powerful divine envoys, while also allowing its bearer to control and command all kinds of creatures.

Tree Herder excelled at this style of combat. Through it, he could spread a vast intelligence network and place the reincarnators under his control into various teams.

It was an enhancement ideally suited to manipulating the bigger picture from behind the scenes.

He had once believed that he could grow like this all the way into becoming the hidden boss in the eyes of this generation of reincarnators, a canopy hanging over everyone’s heads.

He had never expected a single trip to B711 World to completely shatter his ambitions.

He had seen that before the unmatched power of those monsters, so-called schemes and manipulation were utterly meaningless.

If not for his good fortune, he would likely have died at Saitama’s hands, just like His Excellency Eternal Destiny, who had vanished.

Tree Herder had likewise been intimidated by Mercenary Tao’s arrogance. This was a monster who had dared trade punches with Saitama!

Tree Herder could not put into words the shock he had felt when he witnessed that scene through the human he had parasitized and controlled.

Even Supreme Experts would not dare openly make an enemy of Saitama.

Only a completely irrational madman would commit suicide in that manner.

Yet he knew perfectly well that Mercenary Tao was not insane, and… Mercenary Tao had ultimately survived!

That was why Tree Herder had accepted Mercenary Tao’s invitation to cooperate afterward. Upon returning to the space, he had directly spread the news that His Excellency had failed and that Chaos Sage had been destroyed by Mercenary Tao.

It cemented Mercenary Tao’s Fierce Reputation.

For the same reason, when Mercenary Tao contacted him before this mission, Tree Herder had immediately chosen to betray Solomon.

He could not imagine a future where he defeated someone like this. Neither could Solomon.

Bai Cangshu smiled.

"To slay a god, of course we have to pick a big one!"

Though Tree Herder had vaguely guessed the other man’s target before, he was still shaken at this moment.

"We’re going after… Odin?!"

Odin, the true God-King of Asgard and lord of the heavenly palace.

This was a quest line coveted by many reincarnators in this timeline, yet at the current level of reincarnator strength, very few dared to truly attempt it.

Odin was likely already very close to his death point in the plot. In other words, the Odin currently in Norway was a top-tier god on the verge of dying.

If they could kill a god of that level, then even if they could not obtain all the drops, merely acquiring the divine blood in his body would be enough to create a top-tier reincarnator!

Odin’s divine blood!

At his peak, Odin was a true Father-God Level cosmic powerhouse. Though this timeline had most likely been born from the cinematic universe—

Odin’s power level was still extremely high. Among the Plot Characters they could encounter, he was one of the very strongest.

Tree Herder could not resist such temptation. More importantly, the one proposing this plan was not just anyone—it was Mercenary Tao!

Looking at Mercenary Tao, who no longer wore that iconic pink robe, Tree Herder’s heart raced uncontrollably.

Bai Cangshu burst into laughter.

"He’s just a god about to die of old age…"

After flying for a while, Tree Herder suddenly noticed that Mercenary Tao’s blue-and-white single-person craft had changed direction and was descending beneath the sea of clouds.

What was going on? This should not have been Norway yet. Did Mercenary Tao’s craft need to replenish its energy?

After landing, they found themselves in a small town with a distinct European flavor.

He and Tree Herder landed directly in a park on a street corner. The park seemed to have gone untended for some time and had become rather dilapidated.

Only a few elderly people sat on benches beside the park lake. They barely reacted at all to the group’s arrival.

"His Excellency Mercenary Tao, we are…?"

Tree Herder had no idea what Bai Cangshu intended to do, so he could only follow behind him.

Then he saw Bai Cangshu walk straight into a public telephone booth.

He picked up the receiver, electricity flickering at his fingertips.

Bzzzt—

The coins in the coin slot immediately flew out and fell back in, helping Bai Cangshu complete the payment.

Bai Cangshu turned around and glanced at the Knight King, who was frowning as she surveyed modern Europe. His eyes held obvious amusement.

"Do you have the number for Stark Tech or the Avengers?"

Tree Herder froze. He had entered this world many times and had even left puppets behind in it, so such information was hardly a secret to him.

Given enough time, he could even obtain Tony Stark’s private number.

But he did not know what Mercenary Tao wanted to do.

A moment later, Bai Cangshu called Stark Industries.

"Hello?"

"Please tell Mr. Stark that before long, a group of Hydra remnants will be planning to attack New York. Their target is probably… hmm, the New York Sanctum."

"I hope Mr. Stark protects New York well~"

"Who am I?"

"An anonymous good citizen."

Click.

Bai Cangshu hung up, then separately called New York’s emergency line and the Department of Defense, repeating the same information once to each.

Tree Herder completely failed to understand what Mercenary Tao was trying to do.

Was he trying to screw over Jin and make his plan harder to carry out?

Or was it to make Group B’s feint attack more successful and draw in even more troops?

Bai Cangshu merely waved for Artoria to follow him. He led the knight lady, whose anger had yet to subside, into a restaurant.

He directly ordered a table overflowing with food.

Then, with great interest, he used the Chef skill to adjust the deliciousness of the dishes to an extremely high level.

Artoria swiftly fell to the food.

Bai Cangshu himself also began eating heartily at the other side of the table.

You consumed...
The level of your Gourmet Cell began to rise once again.

Tree Herder sat beside them, growing somewhat anxious.

"What exactly are you trying to do, His Excellency Mercenary Tao?!"

Bai Cangshu ate unhurriedly.

"Eat, of course. Didn’t Artoria tell you? A king needs to eat."

Artoria nodded, then continued eating.

Only when the restaurant television began interrupting its broadcast with news from New York, reporting that a group of rioters was causing unrest there, did Bai Cangshu stop.

He stretched and said to Tree Herder, "Didn’t you say you could get Tony Stark’s private number? Tell him Hydra’s real objective is to attack the British Museum."

Tree Herder froze. The British Museum?

What was there again? He rapidly searched through all the information in his mind, and soon, information about the Darkhold surfaced.

In an instant, he understood Mercenary Tao’s objective.

At the same time, he understood something else even more clearly: Solomon had likely betrayed the team as well.

He had directly abandoned the Scotland plan and used Jin’s operation as a feint for his own gain.

He himself was going to seize the Darkhold…
