Grandpa Mo Appears, Battle Begins

Bai Cangshu had still overestimated Grandpa Mo’s patience. After Lin Qinfu posted those photos, he had thought Grandpa Mo would drag things out for a while longer, perhaps sending people to threaten him or negotiate. But none of that happened.

That very night, Bai Cangshu opened his eyes. He heard the sound of a camera shattering.

He rose and went to the window, only to see that the people Lin Qinfu had arranged to patrol the perimeter had vanished.

In the middle of the concrete courtyard, the woman who had been stripped naked and tied to a pillar kept shaking her head, terrified beyond measure.

Tap, tap.

A soft knock sounded at the door, followed by Lin Qinfu’s desperately lowered voice.

"Boss Bai… Boss Bai…"

"Grandpa Mo is here…"

Lin Qinfu had originally thought he was dead no matter what. He had gambled once—gambled that this Madman Bai was even more ruthless than Grandpa Mo—and that was why he had done such a thing.

But afterward, when he saw the photos he had posted spreading wildly across social media, he was gripped by lingering fear.

What he had done was a blatant slap in Grandpa Mo’s face.

He could not sleep at all that night. Hiding in the basement, he had kept listening to the sounds outside.

At one point, he clearly heard those heavy footsteps, just like when Grandpa Mo had returned from the mountain stronghold.

Trembling, he crawled upstairs. He was afraid Madman Bai might still be asleep, and though he wanted to wake him, he was also afraid Grandpa Mo would hear his voice.

The overwhelming terror even made Lin Qinfu forget the searing pain in his right wrist and cheek.

Creak.

The sound of the door opening was abrupt and terrifying in the night.

Lin Qinfu instinctively recoiled, but Bai Cangshu grabbed him by the neck and quickly went downstairs.

Bai Cangshu entered the courtyard, carrying Lin Qinfu over to the woman tied to the pillar.

He surveyed the surrounding woods but saw no trace of Grandpa Mo. Still, Bai Cangshu had already caught that faint fishy stench.

"Grandpa Mo! Since you’re here, show yourself and let’s talk!"

Bai Cangshu called out loudly. The next instant, he sensed killing intent locking onto him. He turned toward the woods to the southeast, where a gun was likely trained on him.

Yet he showed no fear. A wild smile curled across his lips as he exerted force and pressed Lin Qinfu’s face against the woman’s body.

The woman smelled that scent and knew Grandpa Mo had truly come. Feeling the heat radiating from Lin Qinfu’s body, she trembled uncontrollably, urine quickly spilling beneath her.

She knew full well that if Grandpa Mo saw this, she had no chance of surviving. Grandpa Mo possessed an intense sense of ownership; as for an "unclean" woman like her, he would only kill her or throw her to that thing in the backyard to be devoured.

Lin Qinfu was equally terrified. Even with soft flesh brushing against his face, he felt no desire whatsoever. He only shook his head frantically, hoping Madman Bai would spare his life.

Bang!

The sudden gunshot tore apart the silence of the night.

Bai Cangshu’s head jerked sharply, and blood sprayed from behind him.

Lin Qinfu’s face was splattered with blood, bits of flesh even striking his body. He had killed people and seen plenty of corpses, but this feeling still scared the courage out of him, making him scream in terror.

Sister Mei’s head had been blown apart by a single shot.

Bai Cangshu released Lin Qinfu, turned toward the muzzle flash in the distant woods, and sneered as he took a step forward.

Boom!

The ground shook, and Bai Cangshu vanished in an instant, moving so fast that the naked eye could not catch him.

The reincarnator hiding in the tree had his pupils contract. The other man had taken one step out from the courtyard’s light, and all he saw was a blur before his eyes.

Damn it, that guy really is a reincarnator!

Remembering Grandpa Mo’s warning, he immediately leaped down from the tree, turned, and ran into the dense forest.

The number of reincarnators in Northern Myanmar had been increasing lately. Many had set their sights on this region, where governmental power was weak, hoping to become kings here and unleash their power to their heart’s content.

But in a place like this, there were too many monks and too little porridge. There were only so many people who could pay protection money, and no one would readily give up their territory.

In the end, a bloody struggle was unavoidable.

This guy was not the first reincarnator Grandpa Mo had encountered, but he was the most arrogant.

Relying on the fact that there would be no cameras in the dense forest, the gunman made the firearm in his hand disappear. He moved nimbly and was highly accustomed to the forest environment. As long as he widened the distance, let Grandpa Mo kill the others in the compound, and cut off the power supply—

He could do whatever he wanted.

Whoosh!

A dark shadow swept past him. The next moment, the gunman saw a figure appear before him.

The man was handsome, perhaps a meticulously crafted Avatar. He wore only a loose T-shirt, and his youthful face made him look like a college student who had just graduated.

"You’re from East Xia?"

"Instead of staying in such a peaceful place, you came here to get yourself killed. That isn’t exactly a…"

The gunman pretended to negotiate, but a flash of light appeared in his hand. A silver Desert Eagle materialized, and with his pupils dilating, he pulled the trigger.

A smile curled across Bai Cangshu’s lips. His ears twitched, and he finally heard Lin Qinfu’s scream coming from the compound two hundred meters behind him.

He had deliberately fallen for the enemy’s diversion to force the person who had not revealed even a trace of killing intent to show himself. At this point, this half-baked shooting reincarnator was no longer of any use.

Watching the movement of the other man’s muscles, he tilted his head and dodged the bullet. When the other man pulled the trigger again, Bai Cangshu’s fist suddenly vanished.

Pfft!

His throat and cervical vertebrae were smashed together, leaving his head without support as it quickly drooped down.

Bai Cangshu watched even his opponent’s collapse unfold in slow motion, and his right hand vanished again.

Bang!

A burst of force pierced straight through the man’s skull, instantly pulverizing his brain.

Bai Cangshu turned and left as a scarlet card slowly condensed before him.

Bai Cangshu casually collected the Scarlet Drop Card, then swiftly returned to the compound.

He heard Lin Qinfu frantically begging for mercy.

"Grandpa Mo, I was wrong, Grandpa Mo!"

"That guy is a madman, I had no choice…"

Tears and snot streamed down his face, but the bear-like figure merely tossed him aside with one hand. Lin Qinfu crashed through the outer wall with a puff, twitched a few times beneath the bricks, and went still.

Bai Cangshu made a light leap and landed soundlessly. His clothes shifted, transforming into Mercenary Tao’s pink robe.

A true fight naturally required going all out.

Grandpa Mo stood with his back to Bai Cangshu, looking at Sister Mei, who had been killed by a bullet to the head. He exhaled a breath of foul air, murky and reeking of blood.

He let out a low roar. As he turned around, his body expanded once more, growing to nearly three meters tall.

But when Grandpa Mo saw who had come, he froze.

"Mercenary Tao…"
