Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Silver Dragon Emperor

Su Yu studied the cultivation arts Ya Er had transmitted into his mind. The names of these arts all seemed familiar to him; they should have come from the Myriad Realms.

After browsing for who knew how long, Su Yu finally took a liking to one cultivation art: the Evergreen Wood Longevity Art.

The first line of the Evergreen Wood Longevity Art read: Upper volume: seize the essence of heaven and earth’s vegetation and transform it into one’s own spiritual power. Lower volume: plants and trees become soldiers, flowers and fruits become generals; seize the essence of heaven and earth and cultivate the great path of longevity.

The Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix Spear had three moves in total.

The first move, Spear Exits the Cave, required thrusting at extreme speed. As long as the spear was fast enough, the instant its gleam flashed, the enemy’s head would already be rolling.

The second move, Hundred Birds Sing Together, also relied on the speed of the spear. Ya Er had modified the Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix Spear slightly, so both the hundred birds and the phoenix could be summoned.

These ten monkeys had now become Flower Fruit Mountain’s elders. Su Yu had divided the monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain into ranks, much like a sect. Sun Wukong was the Great King, Su Yu was the Second King, followed by the ten elders, then inner disciples and outer disciples.

After the monkeys began cultivating, they could take human form. But like Sun Wukong, they disliked doing so and remained in their monkey forms, though their builds had become roughly human-sized.

Su Yu looked at them and said, "My junior brother should be back soon. Have the Little Monkeys make preparations so your Great King can see how much you have changed when he returns."

Upon hearing that Sun Wukong was returning, the ten immediately became excited. They hurriedly said, "Second King, rest assured. We will make the arrangements and let the Great King see the results of our many years of cultivation!"

Su Yu smiled and nodded. The ten left excitedly. No matter what, Sun Wukong was their Great King. Thirty years had passed, so naturally they missed him.

A few days later, a cloud flew in from the horizon, and Sun Wukong’s voice rang out from the sky. "My children, your Great King has returned!"

"Great King! Great King! Great King!" The monkey descendants who heard Sun Wukong’s voice immediately shouted in excitement.

Sun Wukong descended from the sky at once and said, "My children, your Great King has already gone to see the Heavenly Court. It was nothing special. That old Jade Emperor must be blind to make me a mere Keeper of the Heavenly Horses! It truly infuriated me, so I returned! From this day onward, I am Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven!"

Sun Wukong’s voice echoed across Flower Fruit Mountain. The Heavenly Court’s Thousand-Mile Eye and Wind-Following Ear immediately reported the matter to the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor slammed his hand on the table in fury. "What audacity, Sun Wukong! He actually dared to rebel against the Heavenly Court and declare himself some Great Sage Equal to Heaven! If my true body were not in seclusion, I would slap him to death myself! Li Jing, where are you? Lead the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals to capture that monkey and bring him back!"

An elderly man holding an ancient pagoda stepped forward and answered, "This general accepts the order!"

With that, Li Jing turned and departed. He then assembled the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals and headed for Flower Fruit Mountain.

Sun Wukong looked at his disciples and descendants. Only after a while did he notice their changes. He immediately looked at Su Yu and said, "Senior Brother, thank you so much. You let them cultivate as well."

"It was nothing," Su Yu said with a smile.

Sun Wukong suddenly recalled something and said, "Senior Brother, since I have declared myself the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, you do not have a title yet, do you? Why not give yourself one too?"

Su Yu stroked his chin. "That could work, but let me think about what I should be called."

As he spoke, Su Yu truly began pondering seriously. After thinking for a moment, a nostalgic smile appeared on his face. "I have it. I’ll use my old one. From now on, my title will be the Silver Dragon Emperor. The three thousand silver dragons under my command shall all bear the title Silver Dragon War General!"

"Good, good, good! Senior Brother, your title sounds imposing too," Sun Wukong said with a smile.

Su Yu smiled. "Could it possibly be more imposing than your Great Sage Equal to Heaven? You aspire to stand equal to heaven. A mere silver dragon like me cannot compare."
