Harvest Tally, Avenging Angels
"Start cultivating from scratch?"
Carol froze for a moment, then gritted her teeth. "No problem. As long as it can make me stronger, I don’t want to be defeated by men again."
"Carol, there’s no need to care so much about gender."
Wang Bert shook his head. Carol did not answer, but her gaze remained incomparably stubborn.
Dr. Banner asked curiously, "Bert, can you absorb energy from other dimensions?"
"I can. There are two dimensions that are fairly compatible with me. One is the Dragon World related to the Dragon Bone, where many Eastern and Western dragons live."
Wang Bert said, "The other is a little awkward. I’ll mention it when we encounter a powerful enemy in the future."
Carol thought of something and asked in surprise, "Master, when you fought Mephisto before, you didn’t use this move. Does that mean you weren’t fighting at full strength?"
"Not only was I not at full strength, I didn’t even use twenty percent of my power."
Wang Bert laughed. He had not even entered his light-man form, all right? Mephisto at thirty percent strength had been too weak—or rather, the current Wang Bert was too strong.
"You didn’t even use twenty percent of your power?"
Carol was dumbfounded. At this rate, when would she ever defeat her master? Wang Bert said, "Enough of that. Carol, if you have time, I can teach you how to sense space right now. It may be rather tedious at the start, so you’ll need patience."
Carol said firmly, "No problem. To become stronger than men, I can do anything."
Both Wang Bert and Dr. Banner shook their heads. At that moment, Hulk shouted, "Mr. Wang, is there a way to make Hulk stronger? Hulk wants to punch that bitch."
Carol shot Hulk a fierce glare. This guy was asking for a beating.
"Your potential is limitless, but the problem is that your power comes from anger."
Wang Bert sighed and said, "Hulk, up until now, you have never truly been angry, have you? The kind of anger where you lose all reason and only want to destroy everything!"
"Not really. Hulk is always angry, but Hulk has never truly gone berserk."
"If you want to grow stronger, you must become completely enraged. Hulk, go traveling. The universe is vast, and you’ll definitely encounter something that makes you utterly furious."
Wang Bert said. In truth, making Hulk stronger would not be difficult. He only had to kill Betty, and Hulk would immediately become the invincible Green Scar. The problem was, what good would that do Earth? What Earth needed was a Hulk who could control his own power.
"Go traveling?"
Both Dr. Banner and Hulk were very surprised. Dr. Banner said, "Bert, wouldn’t that be too dangerous? If Hulk really goes berserk, many people will die."
Hulk shook his head as well. "Hulk doesn’t want to hurt people."
Carol could not help glancing at Hulk. Though this big guy was irritating, he was not bad at heart.
Carol did not know that this was the result of years of hard work by Banner and Betty. They had successfully given Hulk humanity.
"Don’t worry. I’ll have Betty go with you. With her around, it’ll be fine no matter how angry you get."
Wang Bert smiled. "Besides, you don’t need to worry about Betty’s safety. I’ll place magic on her. If she is ever in danger, I’ll rush over immediately."
Wang Bert continued, "Dr. Banner, are you interested in taking an impromptu interstellar trip with Betty and Hulk?"
Dr. Banner said with some interest, "I am interested, but I don’t have any experience with that sort of thing."
"I’ll find someone to go with you."
Wang Bert projected an image of the Guardians of the Galaxy and said, "This is the Guardians of the Galaxy I just established. They’ll roam the galaxy upholding justice while promoting Earth Express."
Carol snorted. "Guardians of the Galaxy? That’s quite the grand name."
"The name is grand, but they’re really just temps, much like Earth’s Universe Brand Cigarettes."
Wang Bert laughed. In the movies, the Guardians of the Galaxy had also been temps—Xandar’s temps.
"Once I finish researching what I have on hand, I’ll go out with Betty."
Dr. Banner made up his mind and said with a blissful expression, "We’ll treat it as a honeymoon."
Wang Bert asked in astonishment, "You got married? Banner, you actually didn’t tell me? That’s really not cool."
"Before the expedition, I proposed to Betty in private, and she accepted."
Dr. Banner said somewhat sheepishly, "Betty and I don’t want a big wedding. We’ve been through a lot. We just want to be alone together, quietly leaning against each other."
The happiness radiating from Dr. Banner made the single Carol a little uncomfortable. She thought carefully and realized that she seemed to have been single for over twenty years.
"Get married after winning the war? Good thing I’m tough enough that the flag didn’t trigger."
Wang Bert was speechless. After thinking for a moment, he took out a pair of rings and said, "I still have to give you a gift. These are treasures from Tivan’s collection, called Teleportation Rings. Once worn, they allow you to teleport to each other."
"Thank you, Bert."
Dr. Banner loved this treasure and accepted it without hesitation. After all, Bert was a super-rich tycoon.
When Banner and Betty do it, will Hulk come out?
A dirty thought flashed through Wang Bert’s mind. He smiled and said, "All right, go make your preparations. When it’s time to leave, I’ll have the Guardians of the Galaxy pick you up. I’m sure your adventure will be very exciting."
"Too exciting wouldn’t be good either. My heart couldn’t take it."
Dr. Banner smiled, then left contentedly, while Carol stayed behind to learn spatial sensing from Wang Bert.
The facts proved that no one who could become a Super Hero was ordinary. Carol’s talent was exceptional, and in just a few days, she had already gained a basic grasp of it.
Wang Bert was very satisfied with this and told her to continue cultivating diligently.
In the study, Wang Bert began tallying the gains from this operation. It had to be said that the haul this time was quite substantial.
First came Earth’s gains—they would soon establish diplomatic relations with Xandar and obtain a Resource Star. For humanity, these were undoubtedly two important steps forward.
At the same time, Earth had proven its strength. Everyone now knew that Earth was not some primitive planet.
In addition, Wang Bert had intimidated the Three Great Empires. As long as he was alive, those major powers would not dare openly invade Earth—except Thanos. He was a lunatic.
Beyond that, there were the Dark Aster, the Skrull flagship, the Skrulls, and more. Earth had truly made a fortune this time, gaining enough technology to spend decades digesting.
Oh, and there was Gladiator. If he could be cloned, Earth would gain many powerful warriors. Even if he could not, Wang Bert could turn him into one of his puppets.
Those were Earth’s gains, but Wang Bert himself had also gained a great deal.
First and foremost was wealth. Tivan’s fortune had made Wang Bert the richest man on Xandar in one stroke.
In addition, Wang Bert had acquired Tivan’s collection and the Celestial Head. It had to be said that Tivan was truly a good man, having "sponsored" so many valuable items.
There was no need to say much about the Celestial Head. Once repaired, it might become the most powerful warship in the universe.
As for Tivan’s collection, nearly all of it was high-end. Some items could even rival the Ten Rings. Wang Bert’s reserves had instantly become incredibly deep.
Beyond all that, Wang Bert had another major gain: nine Spirits of Vengeance. The power of Ghost Riders was beyond question.
Wang Bert had also gained immense fame, prestige, and slaves. Blood God was no longer synonymous with a nouveau riche. Everyone knew that the Blood God was a Super Hero worthy of reverence.
"I gained a lot. I need to digest it properly."
Wang Bert smiled in satisfaction. At that moment, the Spear of God within him suddenly flew out on its own. Holy light descended, and nine sacred angels appeared within it, all kneeling before Wang Bert.
The Avenging Angels shouted in unison, "Greetings, master! We shall become your weapons, punish evil for you, and cleanse the world."
"Master?"
Wang Bert blinked. The Spear of God explained, "I cleansed their original memories. Their current memories are completely new, and they will regard you as their master, dedicating everything to you.
"However, the essence of their Spirits of Vengeance remains unchanged. In other words, they still loathe evil and still wish to cleanse sin."
"That’s fine. After all, I’m a good person."
Wang Bert smiled. Looking at the nine angels, he asked in surprise, "Wait, why are they all female angels? Is my luck really that good?"
"Master, angels have no gender at the beginning. Cleansing their memories was equivalent to resetting them and returning them to their initial genderless state."
The Spear of God said, "I know you like beautiful women, so I turned all of them into females."
"I didn’t expect you to be that kind of Spear of God, but I like it."
Wang Bert burst into laughter. "Next, we need to find suitable hosts for them."
"Master, there is no need to find hosts for them."
The Spear of God said, "The Demon Kings of Hell could not control them, so they kept them in soul form and indirectly controlled them through human souls. In fact, as long as they have enough energy, they can restore their bodies on their own."
Wang Bert asked, "So they can fight by themselves?"
"Of course. They are warriors sent by God to cleanse the sins of the mortal world."
"That makes things even easier. What kind of energy do they need?"
"Many kinds of energy will work, but Divine Power Crystals or purified Magic Crystals are best."
The Spear of God said, "Divine Power Crystals would greatly increase their strength."
"I really do have quite a few of those."
Wang Bert casually tossed a Magic Crystal to the Spear of God and said, "Purify it. From now on, you nine will be my Angel Guard."
"Yes, Master."
The nine Avenging Angels nodded in unison. Wang Bert raised a hand to have them stand, then asked, "What are your names?"
The leading Avenging Angel said, "I am their captain. My name is Annie."
Looking at Annie, the Avenging Angel with an angelic face and a devilish figure, Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. Having nine Angel Guards like these would certainly make him look impressive when he went out.
As a major figure renowned throughout the universe, he naturally needed some pomp.
Before long, the Spear of God finished purifying the Magic Crystal, then used it to restore the Avenging Angels’ bodies.
Within the holy light, a group of angels clad in exquisite, magnificent armor appeared before Wang Bert. He looked them over from head to toe, exceedingly pleased. They suited his tastes perfectly.
"You arrived at just the right time. Come with me."
Wang Bert remembered something, opened a portal, and led the nine Angel Guards through it.
Outside the portal, Annie looked at the somewhat desolate surroundings and said, "Master, this is not the Main Universe."
"This is the Dragon World. Well, I named it myself."
Wang Bert said, "I once devoured a fire dragon. After acquiring the Space Stone, I formed a connection with the fire dragon’s homeland."
The Dragon Bone beneath Manhattan had already been completely devoured by Wang Bert. His body contained the complete Fire Dragon Power.
Of course, given Wang Bert’s current strength, Fire Dragon Power was somewhat lacking. The Space Stone was simply too powerful.
"The Dragon World? The Dragon Dimension inhabited by dragons?"
Annie understood. She said, "Master, dragons are no good. They are extremely greedy and often invade other dimensions to plunder them."
Although the Avenging Angels’ memories had been cleansed, their common knowledge remained.
"Is that so? Then that’s even better."
Wang Bert was a little surprised, then laughed. "Go capture evil dragons. I hope their meat tastes as good as Extraordinary Dragon meat."
Dragons were immensely useful. Their meat could be eaten, their blood drunk, their bones used to cultivate qi, and their souls used to create Iron Fists. In fact, if he had not been so busy, Wang Bert would have come here to hunt long ago.
Wang Bert had three powers within him: Blood God Power, Fire Dragon Power, and Space Power. Space Power was now overwhelmingly dominant. He wanted to restore the balance; otherwise, he might become an incarnation of the Space Stone, which would be very bad.
Space Power was merely one type of power.
Furthermore, Wang Bert’s disciples needed large quantities of Dragon Bones and Dragon Souls. Disciples of Iron Fist also needed to become Iron Fists.
Mass-producing Iron Fists would be quite interesting. Wang Bert wondered whether the people of K’un-Lun would be frightened to death in the future.
"Master, we will hunt dragons for you."
Annie and the other nine Avenging Angels immediately shouted. Being able to serve their master while punishing dragons could not have been better.
"Very good. If you encounter danger, call for me. I’ll come help you immediately."
Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. Thinking of something, he continued, "Oh, right. Once you have adapted to this place, leave three people by my side. Your primary duty is to be my personal guard."
"Yes, Master."
Annie and the others nodded. Then they beat their wings and flew into the sky, beginning their search for evil dragons—it was not difficult for Avenging Angels to determine whether a dragon was righteous.
"Having subordinates is great. I don’t have to do everything myself. Heh, this Dragon Dimension is a treasure trove for me."
Wang Bert smiled and left the Dragon World. The reason he did not act personally was, on one hand, laziness. Since others could do the work for him, he could focus all his attention on the Main Universe.
On the other hand, it was because this Dragon World had Dragon Gods—more than one. If he acted personally, it would be easy to trigger a divine war.
As for whether the dragons would blame Heaven after discovering Annie and the others, that had nothing to do with Wang Bert.
