He Watches Over Earth
"Harvey was one of them?"
"How powerful was he, exactly?"
When Steve heard that one of those monsters he had seen was actually Harvey, he felt both awe and intense curiosity.
"I don’t know exactly how strong he is either."
"But it’s definitely beyond anything we can imagine."
"As for which one was him, once you head into the universe and visit Void Island on Xandar, the headquarters of the Void Cult, you’ll know."
"Now that you’ve joined the Void…"
"There are a few more things I need to tell you."
"Renoli and the others are all members of the Void Cult."
"They don’t know that Harvey is resting and enjoying himself on Earth."
"So when you refer to Harvey in front of them, you need to use another name."
Tony seemed to recall something and spoke.
"What name?"
Steve and Banner asked in unison.
"God of the Void Kassadin."
Tony also revealed Harvey’s alias in the universe—or perhaps it was his real name?
Honestly, he couldn’t be sure either. Given Harvey’s ability to change his appearance at will…
He could casually take on another face and create another identity.
So whether Kassadin was his real name or an alias remained a mystery for now.
"God of the Void Kassadin…"
Steve murmured the name a few times and committed it to memory.
"Kyle is also a member of the Void Cult."
"Then how long have they been members to possess such formidable strength?"
Banner silently memorized the name Kassadin as well, then asked the question that concerned him greatly.
"Kyle, Renoli, and the Precognitor have been part of the Void for over two years."
"But you don’t need to use them as a benchmark, because everyone starts from a different point."
"Before receiving the Void blessing, they were already renowned Bounty Hunters. They were extremely skilled and had vast combat experience."
"If I hadn’t used technology to overtake them on a curve, relying on my own body alone, I’d probably get crushed by all three of them."
Tony made no effort to hide his praise for the three. It wasn’t merely modesty—it was the truth.
After all, the three of them had been born with combat-oriented superpowers. They naturally had more combat experience than ordinary people and knew better how to control and use their own strength.
When Banner heard that the three of them could crush Tony, he realized that even if he unleashed Hulk, he would probably find it difficult to defeat any of them.
"Then what about Miss Lacey?"
Banner then recalled the tall, gorgeous blonde woman whose entire body seemed to radiate a soul-stirring charm.
"What, did you fall for her?"
When Tony heard Banner specifically ask about Lacey, he raised an eyebrow at him.
"I’m a normal man too. Appreciating beautiful women is human nature."
Banner said this somewhat embarrassedly.
"She is indeed a great beauty, but I’d advise you not to set your sights on her."
"As for the reason, I’m not too sure either."
"Kyle and the others didn’t explain why back then. They just warned me about it."
Tony wore an expression that said he understood, but he still offered a warning.
He didn’t know much about Lacey. He only knew that she was ruthless enough to swallow minerals whole in order to evolve faster.
Clearly, Lacey had an extremely high pursuit of power, and she didn’t care how painful the process was.
"Why? Does she have a fear of men, or did some man do something unforgivable to her?"
"But she didn’t seem particularly repulsed by men, did she?"
"On the contrary, she seemed to understand men very well and could easily make people like her."
Steve said with some concern.
"I don’t know either. Just don’t set your sights on her."
"Even I wouldn’t dare set my sights on Lacey."
"What are you two getting worked up about?"
"Of course, if you don’t believe me, you can try it yourselves."
"Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Like me, you joined the Void without going through any trials, so you don’t know the requirements ordinary people have to meet to join the Void Cult."
"But I can tell you that passing the trial is no simple matter."
"You need to unconditionally believe in God of the Void Kassadin without knowing the truth, and at first, no one will respond to you."
"You need to keep it up for at least a month before you can be acknowledged and join the Void."
"And during that process, what is tested is whether you possess sufficient devotion, sufficient patience, and the determination to seek power."
"The Void Cult currently has at least five hundred members, but only a handful of them are women."
Tony shrugged as he spoke.
He knew about Renoli, Kyle, and the Precognitor’s pasts.
But he knew very little about Lacey’s past. Lacey herself had never mentioned it, and neither had Renoli and the other two.
Although Tony could certainly find some information if he had Jarvis investigate.
As a companion, however, if someone didn’t want to talk about it, it was better not to pry too deeply.
"I never expected someone who looked so beautiful and friendly on the outside to be such a ruthless person."
After hearing Tony’s words, Steve’s interest immediately vanished.
"I should focus on figuring out how to control Hulk first."
After hearing that ratio, Banner had initially wanted to see whether he could learn more about Lacey, but now he no longer had the courage.
"Come on, I’ll take you to get something to eat."
"Let you experience the feeling of gaining strength after eating."
"As for Renoli and the others, don’t meet them for now. We can talk about it when there’s a chance later."
"As for Peggy, whom you’ve been thinking about, Steve, you can go talk to her afterward."
"See whether Peggy wants a longer lifespan."
"If she does, persuade her to believe in the Void."
"Harvey will definitely keep his promise."
Seeing that the two of them had given up on the idea, Tony rose from the sun lounger and spoke as he headed into the house.
"Don’t we need to notify Harvey first?"
Steve asked, somewhat puzzled by Tony’s words.
"No need. The entire Earth is within Harvey’s sight."
"Even now, Harvey is watching us. The only difference is whether he wants to show himself."
Tony shook his head, utterly unconcerned.
"…All right. I’ll go talk to Peggy afterward."
When Steve heard that Earth had always been under Harvey’s watch, he initially wanted to say that it was impossible.
But when he recalled those great existences he had just seen, each one like a god, the doubt in his heart quietly disappeared.
