Hell Lord
Hearing Dr. Richards—or rather, Human Torch’s—provocation, Tony cursed with a dark expression, "Human Torch, do you want your salary docked again?"
"Salary? Hmph, with my current strength, do I still need you to pay me? Tony Stark, you can retire now. Oh, and Captain, you can retire too. From now on, Earth will be protected by the Fantastic Four."
Dr. Richards burst into laughter and charged at another demon god in a blaze of dazzling fire. The demon god’s expression changed as it fought back with all its might, but it was no match for Dr. Richards and was sent flying about by the hammer.
Seeing this, the other demon gods hurried over to support it. Dr. Richards faced four alone, yet showed no sign of being at a disadvantage.
Dr. Richards’ calculations had been correct. After the fusion, he really was incredibly powerful.
"Retire?"
Tony’s face was as black as ink. If he could beat Dr. Richards, he would definitely teach that guy a lesson.
Tony silently swore that he would create the God-Slayer Armor. He, Tony Stark, was only fifty years old—retire his ass. Besides, even at eighty, Tony Stark would still be Earth’s Most Handsome Guy! Steve, on the other hand, took it calmly. He smiled at Carter and said, "I wonder if Bert is recording this. Once Dr. Richards comes to his senses and sees what he just did, he’ll be so embarrassed he’ll want to die."
"The legendary social death?"
Carter laughed. "I think we can make that happen."
"Carter, let’s go together," Steve said. "From the first time I met you, I wanted to fight by your side."
"So did I."
Carter smiled. "Though I mostly want to see the little guy make a fool of himself."
"Your little guy has become a big guy now. A big guy who’s super reliable."
Steve smiled slightly and attacked a demon god alongside Carter. The two worked together flawlessly and had extensive combat experience. The demon god was beaten back step by step.
"That’s a huge bowl of dog food. You two are so in sync—why don’t you practice that Lovers’ Swordplay Master once mentioned?"
Jessica complained, then asked Bucky beside her, "Aren’t you jealous? Someone stole your best buddy."
"Why would I be jealous?"
Bucky sent a demon god flying with one hammer strike, then said, "I used to worry that Steve would never find a wife. Now I don’t have to. The only problem is that they’re moving too slowly. I’m still waiting to become a godfather."
"A pirate godfather?"
Jessica rolled her eyes and focused on punching the demon gods. She was not clever. If she wanted to comprehend the Concept of Power, there was only one way—keep punching and destroy every enemy in front of her.
Jessica gritted her teeth. "Everyone else can do it, so I refuse to believe I can’t. I’m Blood God’s eldest disciple."
"Actually, I am."
Hellcat Trish, wearing the Serpent Crown, suddenly appeared. Then she split into four. One held a camera and filmed everywhere, while the other three borrowed the Fear Hammer from Steve and fought fiercely against the demon gods.
Trish had been among the first generation of Super Heroes. Though she had switched careers to journalism, her strength had not weakened in the slightest.
With everyone’s efforts, all hundred-plus demon gods were held in check. The Super Heroes were confident they could leave none of them behind. Hmph, not a single demon god that entered the Main Universe would be allowed to leave.
Meanwhile, Little Hela and the others were besieging Hela. Though Hela was powerful and could influence time, she gradually fell into a difficult position under the combined assault of Little Hela, Hulk, Carol, and Skye.
"Hela, although you can influence time, the extent is limited. As long as our attacks are fast enough, your time manipulation will be useless."
As Little Hela rapidly attacked with the Sword of Light, she shouted, "Hela, surrender now. You can’t defeat Master. The mere Four Ancient Gods are no match for him."
"Master isn’t here. Eye Demon and Chthon won’t lose."
Hela stubbornly shouted, "They will win, and so will I. The universe’s balance will definitely be restored."
"Hela, why waste so much breath on her? This woman has gone mad. Knock her down and hand her over to Master."
Carol said impatiently, "With Master’s schemes, the Four Ancient Gods won’t leave Earth alive."
"That’s because you don’t understand the power of the Ancient Gods. Adam is already close to defeat. Once Eye Demon frees up his hands, those Super Heroes will be no match for him."
Hela said, "And Chthon too. No matter how powerful Master is, he can’t possibly deal with Chthon using only one avatar. That is Chthon, the strongest Ancient God."
Skye sneered. "There’s nothing Master can’t do. With him here, we will definitely win. Hela, you’ve already lost."
"Then we’ll see."
Hela clenched her teeth. The reason she was still holding on was that she still had hope. Eye Demon and Chthon would definitely not let her down.
Let us turn our attention back to Adam. As Chaos Energy continuously poured into him, Adam’s expression became increasingly crazed. He shouted, "Shuma-Gorath, you won’t succeed."
"Why not? The Hell Power inside you is welcoming me. It wants you to become a true Satan too."
Eye Demon said. Strange’s heart sank. If this continued, they were doomed to lose.
At that moment, Eye Demon’s second tentacle regained its freedom. He smiled smugly and swung it toward the Hell Gate. Just then, Adam suddenly shouted, "Eye Demon, do you know? Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."
"What do you mean?"
Eye Demon blinked, not quite understanding. Then yellow light lit up on his body, and the connection between his consciousness and body was severed.
"It means that while you were influencing me, I was also influencing you."
Adam grinned and violently broke free from his restraints. Then, putting everything on the line, he rammed into Eye Demon’s massive body and pushed him toward the Hell Gate.
Eye Demon could not stop him. With his consciousness separated, he could not control his body at all.
Under Strange’s delighted gaze, Adam and Eye Demon flew into the Hell Gate together. Strange hesitated for a moment, then followed them in. Adam alone was likely not enough to deal with Eye Demon.
As the three departed, the Hell Gate slammed shut and vanished from the universe.
In Hell, Eye Demon’s consciousness reconnected with his body. He snorted and swung a tentacle at Adam. Adam suddenly vanished, reappearing several hundred meters away.
This was Adam’s home ground. He smiled at Eye Demon. "Eye Demon, were you satisfied with that surprise?"
"What a bore. I finally got into the Main Universe, only to be kicked out after a few minutes. That was an opportunity that comes once in ten thousand years."
Eye Demon looked extremely displeased. Though he loved surprises, he craved the souls of the Main Universe even more. This time, he had suffered a huge loss.
Eye Demon asked, "The Mind Stone is in your hands?"
"That’s right. While you were pouring Chaos Energy into me, I secretly used Mind Energy to separate your consciousness. Your attention was entirely on me, so you overlooked Mind Power."
Adam nodded. A yellow gem appeared on his forehead—the Mind Stone.
Strange slowly descended from the air and suddenly understood. "No wonder you seemed so weak. You were acting. Wait, the Mind Stone is with you—what about Blood God’s avatar?"
Without the Mind Stone, how could Blood God’s avatar possibly fight Chthon with his strength?
That was Chthon.
"Of course I was acting. If I were so easily controlled by Chaos Energy, I would have become a true Satan long ago. Hell Power and concepts have always been tempting me, but I have never wavered."
Adam said proudly. He was Blood God’s avatar. How could mere Chaos Energy possibly deal with him? Adam added, "As for Blood God’s avatar, don’t worry. Since he acted, he must be completely certain."
Strange was not reassured in the slightest. How could a god-level avatar defeat an Ancient God without the help of the Infinity Stones? And it was an Ancient God who had descended in his true body.
There was no way, even if he used his little finger to think about it.
"You’re much more cunning than the previous Satan."
Eye Demon said, "Adam, I will turn you into a Chaos Creature. This is your destiny—the destiny I bestowed upon you."
"You should first think about how you’re going to leave Hell alive."
Adam snorted. The entirety of Hell then sealed itself off. Unless Adam and Hell’s Will reopened Hell, even an Ancient God could not easily enter or leave it.
Sensing the changes in Hell, Eye Demon smiled disdainfully. "Though I don’t care about death, you alone cannot kill me. You are Adam, not Satan."
"Adam can kill you just the same."
Adam said with absolute confidence, but Strange was not as optimistic. Adam was only the new Satan, and there was a massive gap in strength between him and Eye Demon.
That was also why Strange had followed him here.
Adam did not waste time. He snapped his fingers, and dozens of figures appeared around them. Strange’s gaze narrowed. Every one of those figures was a Hell Demon King.
"You don’t think these Demon Kings can threaten me, do you?"
Eye Demon was initially dismissive, but then he said in surprise, "Oh? Wait, there’s something wrong with these Demon Kings."
"Of course there is. Other than the Succubus Lord, all the other Demon Kings are my puppets."
Adam said, "Otherwise, why do you think Hell has been so obedient? You tell them to protect humanity, and they protect humanity?"
"They’re all your puppets?"
Eye Demon and Strange were both quite shocked. Turning most of the Demon Kings into puppets—this Satan really knew how to play.
"Shuma, let me show you my true strength. Speaking of which, I originally intended to save this trump card for Chthon. Unfortunately, he was too useless. I barely put in any effort before he fell."
Adam laughed wildly as the Demon Kings entered his body one after another. It was the Fusion Concept.
In the blink of an eye, every Demon King, including the Succubus Lord, had fused into Adam. Adam’s aura surged madly, and his body rapidly expanded. At the same time, all of Hell shook, and countless demons knelt in this direction.
For the first time, solemnity appeared in Eye Demon’s enormous eye. He said, "Congratulations. You have become the true Hell Lord."
Strange asked in confusion, "Shuma, what do you mean? Wasn’t he already the Hell Lord before?"
"No. He was just an employee before. Only now is he the Hell Lord."
Seeing Strange’s bewildered expression, Eye Demon explained in detail, "Hell’s Satan is different from Ancient Gods like us. We are independent, while Hell’s Satan is a representative chosen by Hell’s Will.
"In your human terms, we Ancient Gods are chairmen of the board, while Satan is the CEO. He himself holds no shares in Hell. He is merely an employee. Everything he possesses comes from Hell’s Will, including concepts and the power of Ancient Gods. Hell’s Will can take them back at any time."
"I see."
Strange understood a little, then gave Eye Demon a strange look. Why did you know so much about corporate structures? "You Earthlings always think you’re the only civilized ones. I’ve lived tens of millions of years—do you think I wouldn’t know what a company is?"
Eye Demon sneered. Back then, Wang Bert had also thought Death did not understand science. In truth, Ancient Gods and Creator Gods understood everything. On one hand, they had lived long enough. On the other, it was easy for them to acquire knowledge.
If they wanted knowledge, they only needed to sweep their divine senses through a library.
Strange was a little embarrassed. He bowed and said, "I have learned something."
"Your attitude is decent enough."
Eye Demon continued, "So Adam was not a true Hell Lord before, but now he is. He joined forces with all the Hell Demon Kings—the company’s upper management—to sideline the chairman. Though the chairman is unwilling, it can do nothing but rage impotently."
Strange’s eyes lit up. "I understand. Adam has become the true Hell Lord, so he can control all Hell Power."
"That’s right."
Eye Demon said, "Previously, Adam could not use much Hell Power. That was one reason we looked down on him. But now, he can wield most of Hell’s power. Simply put, Hell has become his Prime Plane, just like ours."
"There is still a difference. You can control Timelines, but I cannot. After all, Hell’s Will is not dead yet."
Adam said. Notably, his eyes had turned black, filled with chaos and evil. In truth, if the Mind Stone were not suppressing it, he would have already been corrupted and become a true Satan.
To use Hell Power, one had to pay a price. The more power one used, the greater the price.
Eye Demon said disdainfully, "It’s not that Hell’s Will isn’t dead. You simply refuse to truly fuse with Hell and become the eternal Hell Lord. There’s something wrong with your brain."
Adam rolled his eyes. He was actually being mocked for having brain problems by a lunatic like Eye Demon. Too lazy to say more, he shouted, "Eye Demon, take this."
With that, Adam condensed an enormous sword from Hell Power and swung it at Eye Demon with the power of an entire layer of Hell. Space-time instantly warped, and the moment the giant sword appeared, it arrived above Eye Demon’s head.
Eye Demon threw time into chaos, and his enormous body abruptly appeared at Adam’s side. Then three tentacles, carrying violent Chaos Energy, smashed down toward Adam.
Adam had just tried to withdraw his sword when one tentacle wrapped around his lower leg out of thin air and lifted him into the air. Immediately afterward, two tentacles heavily slammed into Adam’s chest.
But to Eye Demon’s surprise, Adam did not move at all, as if the blows that struck him were mere illusions. At the same time, a mountain in the distance suddenly shattered with a thunderous boom, kicking up an enormous cloud of dust.
Eye Demon instantly understood what had happened—Adam had used the Chaos Concept and Hell’s authority to transfer the damage to that mountain.
Taking advantage of Eye Demon’s distraction, Adam swung his sword backward and slashed one of Eye Demon’s tentacles. Even Eye Demon received a deep wound, blood pouring down in torrents.
Eye Demon snorted and flung Adam away. Adam rolled through the air, steadied himself, and smiled. "Eye Demon, outside, I definitely wouldn’t be your match. But this is Hell—my territory."
