Hell Skeletons, the Four Hell Races

Judge watched King Yama Palace being smashed to pieces, yet he could not move. Panic filled his heart. If King Yama Palace was destroyed, King Yama would definitely blame him too.

Before long, King Yama Palace had been smashed into ruins. Even its plaque had been shattered into five or six pieces.

Su Yu glanced at Judge and said, "Your immobilization technique will wear off in a few hours."

After saying that, Su Yu turned and left. "Brothers, follow me and storm the Eighteen Levels of Hell!"

"Yes!"

The group quickly left King Yama Palace and arrived outside a great city. The city looked extremely gloomy, and skeleton soldiers filled both the entrance and the walls.

The skeletons wore armor, which gave them a rather distinctive look. The arrival of the Silver Dragon Army made all the skeleton soldiers fix their gaze on Su Yu and the others.

The difference between these skeleton soldiers lay in the flames in their eye sockets. Some had red flames, while others had blue flames. There were dozens with red flames, but only one with blue flames. It seemed the blue-eyed one held the highest status.

Four red-eyed skeletons raised their halberds at Su Yu and Cang Nan. The blue-eyed skeleton spoke, "Who are you? Do you have King Yama’s writ?"

Su Yu asked curiously, "Oh? Skeletons can talk?"

The flames in the blue-eyed skeleton’s sockets suddenly flared several times larger. It said angrily, "Can’t we Hell Skeletons talk?! I hate immortals like you who always think the Hell Skeleton Race is some lowly life-form! If you don’t have King Yama’s writ, then get lost!"

Su Yu was utterly bewildered, and Cang Nan was equally bewildered…

Su Yu felt helpless. What did we even say for you to go on such a rant? Did we look down on you?

"Move aside!" Cang Nan said in an unfriendly tone.

The other Silver Dragon warriors also looked extremely hostile. The blue-eyed skeleton snorted. "Hmph! It seems you have no writ. Without one, no one may enter Hell City!"

The Dragongallbladder Bright Silver Spear appeared out of thin air in Cang Nan’s hand, and the atmosphere instantly became charged with the smell of gunpowder. Cang Nan said coldly, "Move aside. We do not wish to kill you, but do not force us!"

The blue-eyed skeleton seemed completely unafraid of death. It shouted, "Brothers of the Hell Skeleton Race, leave the city and repel the enemy! Archers, arm yourselves and take aim!"

In an instant, the City Gate opened. A large group of red-eyed skeletons and dozens of blue-eyed skeletons rushed out. The walls were also packed with red-eyed and blue-eyed skeletons. Every skeleton soldier held a bow made of bones, all aiming at the Silver Dragon Army.

Cang Nan looked at Su Yu and said, "General, please permit me to lead a hundred brothers to take Hell City!"

Su Yu spoke a single word. "Granted!"

Cang Nan clasped his fists, then turned to the Silver Dragon Army. "The first hundred men, step forward! Follow me and take Hell City!"

"Kill!"

Cang Nan led one hundred Silver Dragon warriors charging forward. The other side refused to yield and shouted as well, "Kill!"

Wherever the hundred men’s spears swept through, countless skeleton soldiers were smashed to pieces. These skeleton soldiers were merely Golden Immortals. How could they possibly defeat Silver Dragon warriors, every one of whom had reached the Great Luo True Immortal realm?

Seeing the skeleton soldiers below rapidly fall into a disadvantage, the skeleton soldiers on the walls immediately drew their bows and fired at Cang Nan’s hundred men.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Wave after wave of arrows rained down. Cang Nan and the others had no intention of defending at all. The arrows all struck their armor, producing a series of sounds.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The arrows fell to the ground, while Cang Nan and the others’ Silver Dragon Battle Armor remained completely undamaged. How could top-grade magical treasures be broken by such ordinary arrows?

After an unknown number of skeleton soldiers had been killed, Su Yu finally spoke. "Open the City Gate, and I will spare your lives!"

The blue-eyed skeleton from before said with righteous resolve, "In your dreams! Even if we all die today, we will never open the City Gate!"

Su Yu smiled. "Blue-Eyes, stop pretending. Did you think I didn’t know that even after you skeletons die, you can reassemble yourselves and revive? Were you planning to wait until we left before reviving yourselves?"

All the skeleton soldiers froze at once. To be honest, that was exactly what they had planned. During battle, they acted as if they would die for their country and people, but that was only because they could put themselves back together and revive afterward.

The blue-eyed skeleton still tried to sound righteous, though its voice was clearly less confident. "What do you mean? We will not open the City Gate anyway. Don’t even think about making us open it ourselves!"

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Su Yu’s mouth. He raised his hand slightly, and a shattered skeleton soldier was drawn into his grasp. Su Yu smiled and said, "I know you can reassemble and revive after dying. But what if there are no bones left?"

As he spoke, a ball of flame rose in Su Yu’s hand, and the skeleton immediately began to burn. Though it had already been smashed apart, it still cried out.

"Ah—no! Immortal master, spare me! Spare me…"

A moment later, the entire skeleton had burned to ashes. Su Yu smiled faintly. "If you still refuse to cooperate, then do not blame me for being rude. Don’t force me to burn the entire Hell Skeleton Race to ashes in one fire!"

The blue-eyed skeleton had no throat, yet it still instinctively made a swallowing motion. Then it immediately turned toward the skeleton soldiers on the wall and shouted, "What the hell are you all staring at? Hurry up and open the gate for the immortal masters! All you idiots do all day is sleepwalk!"

After that, the skeleton soldiers on the wall immediately scrambled down and opened the City Gate.

Su Yu walked over to the blue-eyed skeleton, patted its bony shoulder, and said, "Kid, you have a bright future. A wise man knows when to yield."

The blue-eyed skeleton smiled and waved its hand. "No, no, immortal master. Please enter the city quickly. Do not delay the important business of all you immortal masters."

Su Yu shouted, "Enter the city!"

The moment Su Yu finished speaking, three thousand Silver Dragon warriors marched into the city. After seeing Su Yu and the others off, the blue-eyed skeleton immediately let out a sigh of relief.

Another blue-eyed skeleton came to its side and asked, "Boss, we just let them in like that. Won’t King Yama blame us?"

"What else were we supposed to do? We couldn’t beat them, and that guy even knew we could reassemble and revive. If we really fought them head-on and the Hell Skeleton Race got wiped out, would you take responsibility?"

"Uh, true."

Hell City was the only city in the Netherworld. Various strange Hell races lived within it, and the entrance to the Eighteen Levels of Hell was located at the center of Hell City.

These Hell races lived here while also guarding the Eighteen Levels of Hell. Among them, the most famous were the four great Hell races: the Hell Impermanence Race, the Hell Ox-Head Race, the Hell Horse-Face Race, and the Hell Human Race.

PS: The Netherworld portions are entirely my own fictional creation. I’m saying this again because I’m afraid some people will comment that the Netherworld is not supposed to be like this, but should be like that.
