Yellow Springs and Helplessness, Causing Havoc in the Netherworld

All three thousand Silver Dragons had assembled. Su Yu led them toward the Netherworld.

The Netherworld was located in a very unusual place. It lay beneath the Immortal Realm, yet it was not part of the Human Realm. There was no need to seek out an entrance to reach it; anyone with profound magical power could directly open a passage.

Su Yu opened a passage, then entered it with the three thousand Silver Dragons.

The passage led ever downward. The farther down they went, the darker their surroundings became. Before long, they emerged from the passage.

Su Yu and the others looked around. They were already underground. Everything around them was pitch-black, yet faint red light seeped through the darkness. Countless bones lay at their feet. After choosing a direction, Su Yu led them onward. The farther they went, the brighter the surrounding light became.

Before long, they saw an ancient-looking stone stele in the distance. The words "Netherworld" were carved upon it.

The moment the three thousand Silver Dragon Army soldiers appeared, the Netherworld was alerted. A man dressed in black and a woman dressed in white appeared at the entrance. Looking at Su Yu, they said, "Who are you people? The Netherworld is a place for the dead. Why have you brought so many subordinates here?"

Su Yu said nothing, but Cang Nan snorted coldly. "Our brothers were seized by your Netherworld and thrown into the Eighteenth Level of Hell. What is the meaning of this? Our brothers guarded the border for hundreds of years. Did they deserve to be sent to the Eighteenth Level of Hell after dying?"

As he spoke, Cang Nan excitedly pointed his spear at Black and White Impermanence.

All three thousand Silver Dragon soldiers stared at Black and White Impermanence with chilling killing intent.

Black and White Impermanence’s expressions turned ugly. One of them said, "The two of us know nothing about this matter."

"If you don’t know, then make way. I’d like to ask King Yama exactly what this is about!" Su Yu said coldly.

Black and White Impermanence said, "No. Without our lord’s permission, you cannot enter the Netherworld!"

"Hmph! Then I’ll fight my way in! Three thousand Silver Dragons, heed my command! Destroy the souls of anyone who blocks our path!" Su Yu snorted.

"This subordinate accepts the order!" Cang Nan said with clasped fists. A cold flash gleamed, and he raised his spear, slashing it at Black and White Impermanence’s heads. The two were so frightened that they immediately retreated again and again.

The two of them were merely Great Luo Heavenly Immortals. How could they possibly defeat Cang Nan? They exchanged a glance, then saw the surging killing intent in Cang Nan’s eyes. One look was enough—they knew he was someone they could not defeat. Black and White Impermanence immediately turned and fled.

Cang Nan laughed disdainfully. "I thought they had some backbone. Turns out they’re just cowards afraid of death!"

Su Yu walked into the Netherworld. "Move."

Everyone immediately entered the Netherworld. They continued forward, and soon saw a vast river. A stone stele stood by its shore, bearing the words "Yellow Springs."

Cang Nan looked at Su Yu and asked, "General, how do we cross the river? I heard the Yellow Springs are extremely strange. Even a feather would sink."

Su Yu smiled. "Then haven’t you heard of the Bridge of Helplessness above the Yellow Springs?"

As he spoke, Su Yu looked toward the Yellow Springs. "Meng Po, are you still planning to hide?"

As Su Yu’s voice fell, an old woman appeared before them. Bent at the waist, she held a bowl of Meng Po Soup in her hands. She smiled and said, "General Su, listen to this old woman’s advice. Leave the Immortal Realm quickly. Do not concern yourself with your subordinates either. Do not cause havoc in the Netherworld over certain people."

Su Yu smiled. "From your tone, Meng Po, it seems Huanglong Zhenren isn’t the old fool trying to deal with me this time. Then who is it? That old Jade Emperor… or those bald donkeys from the west?"

Meng Po was so frightened by Su Yu’s audacious words that she spilled the Meng Po Soup in her hands. "General Su, you must not speak so recklessly."

"Heh, I don’t have that many concerns. I won’t ask you who is trying to deal with me, but do you know why they want to deal with me?" Su Yu asked.

Meng Po closed her eyes, resembling an old monk in meditation. She seemed unwilling to speak, yet Meng Po’s voice sounded in Su Yu’s mind. "General Su, the tallest tree in the forest is the first to be toppled by the wind. The talent you have displayed has made some people wary… Seizing your subordinates is meant to make you rebel against the Heavenly Court of your own accord. Only then will they have a legitimate reason to deal with you."

After hearing Meng Po’s words, Su Yu said without revealing anything, "Since Meng Po is unwilling to speak, I won’t force you. However, we need to cross the river now. Please summon the Bridge of Helplessness."

Meng Po sighed. "Fine, fine. I can’t beat you anyway, and King Yama cannot control me. Go on across."

As she spoke, Meng Po threw the bowl of Meng Po Soup into the Yellow Springs. The bowl instantly sank into the river. In the next instant, a stone bridge rose from the Yellow Springs.

Su Yu walked onto the bridge, and Cang Nan and the others immediately followed. Just like that, they all crossed the Yellow Springs.

They continued onward. Before long, they saw a palace as black as ink. The plaque above it bore the three words "King Yama Palace."

Su Yu looked at Cang Nan and the others. "Cang Nan, come in with me. The rest of you guard the entrance. If anyone tries to flee, kill them on the spot!"

"Yes!"

After saying that, Su Yu and Cang Nan headed into King Yama Palace. The moment they entered, they found it resembled the courtroom of a local official in the Human Realm. Two rows of dead men holding iron chains stood around them. A table and chairs were placed directly ahead and in the upper left corner. A dark-faced burly man sat in the upper-left seat.

The burly man had a large beard and held a brush larger than an ordinary writing brush in one hand, along with a book.

Su Yu said, "The Judge Pen in your right hand, the Book of Life and Death in your left. Are you the only Judge here? Where is King Yama? Is he hiding because he fears death?"

The Judge stared at Su Yu. "Su Yu, this is not a place where you can cause trouble. You should leave quickly. Do not bring ruin upon yourself."

Su Yu knew the Judge meant well, but he did not care. He smiled. "Judge, tell me where King Yama is. I want to ask him why my subordinates, who guarded the border for hundreds of years, were thrown into the Eighteenth Level of Hell after their deaths!"

The Judge shook his head. "I cannot tell you where my lord is."

Su Yu sneered. "He likes hiding, does he? Fine. Cang Nan, notify the brothers. Smash King Yama Palace, then follow me to the Eighteen Levels of Hell and release every soul!"

The Judge’s expression changed dramatically. "Su Yu! You cannot release the souls within the Eighteen Levels of Hell. It will plunge the Immortal Realm into chaos!"

Su Yu tapped the Judge with one finger, directly immobilizing him with a binding technique. Su Yu looked at Cang Nan. "Go do it."

Cang Nan clasped his fists. "Yes!"

With that, Cang Nan left King Yama Palace. Moments later, the sounds of things shattering rang out from outside in wave after wave. Every one of them had a bellyful of resentment to vent.

They had guarded the border for hundreds of years, only to find that their destination after death was the Eighteenth Level of Hell. How could that not anger them?

Yang Qi rushed at lightning speed, tearing through the air and creating deafening sonic booms. His speed was already terrifying, but now, boosted by the terrifying karma of the Netherworld, he felt as if his body possessed infinite weight. Every step he took caused the earth to quake, and as he sprinted forward, he left a deep, charred trench in his wake.

"The King of Hell truly has fallen," Yanzheng muttered, his eyes wide as he gazed at the approaching figure. "Yang Qi has actually managed to borrow the power of the Netherworld."

Yanzheng was not about to just stand there and wait for death. He raised his hands, chanting an ancient incantation as black fog billowed around him, forming layer upon layer of heavy defense. Countless vengeful spirits wailed within the fog, clawing outward to form a terrifying barrier of flesh and souls.

"Break!" Yang Qi roared, his voice shaking the very foundations of Hell.

He did not dodge or weave. He simply threw a punch straight ahead, smashing directly into the barrier of ghosts. The impact was cataclysmic. The black fog shattered instantly, and the screeching spirits were pulverized into nothingness by the sheer, overwhelming force of his momentum.

Yanzheng’s expression shifted drastically as the shockwave hit him. He crossed his arms to block, but the terrifying impact sent him flying backward like a broken kite, crashing heavily through several obsidian pillars before finally coming to a stop.

Yang Qi stepped forward, closing the distance in the blink of an eye. He grabbed Yanzheng by the throat, lifting him effortlessly into the air.

"Your little tricks end here," Yang Qi said coldly, his eyes burning with golden light.
