Hell Spider King

When Peter suddenly stopped, Harry’s heart skipped a beat. Pretending to be casual, he asked, "It seems Gwen wants to come to London to study abroad?"

Harry’s question distracted Peter. He sighed and said, "Yeah. A university in London can offer her a full scholarship, and she wants to study here."

Harry asked, "You don’t want her to come?"

"Who wants to live apart from their girlfriend?"

Peter gave a bitter smile, took a sip of cola, and said, "Mr. Wang said he could help her find a university in New York, but she wants to rely on herself. She’s very strong-willed, and she has an incredible thirst for knowledge. She even often researches…"

Harry asked curiously, "Researches what?"

"Nothing."

Peter smiled awkwardly. Gwen often studied his blood and hair. Sometimes, Peter even wondered whether she had become his girlfriend just to study him.

Otherwise, why would a nerd like him become the boyfriend of the school beauty?

Seeing Peter drink several mouthfuls of cola in succession, Harry sighed in relief and said, "You seem a little lacking in confidence, bro."

"It’s not that I lack confidence. It’s that Gwen is too good. She’s beautiful, has a great figure, and most importantly, she’s smart. Her grades are almost on par with mine, not to mention that she’s the mayor’s daughter."

Peter drank his cola as if he were drowning his sorrows. He had kept these words bottled up for a long time and had long wanted someone to talk to.

Harry said, "You’re not bad either. You’re Spider-Man, a Super Hero."

"Spider-Man, who is late for every date, isn’t exactly a bonus."

Peter shook his head at first, then suddenly realized something and asked in shock, "Wait, Harry, you know I’m Spider-Man?"

Harry only smiled without answering. At that moment, Peter suddenly lost all his strength. He could not even hold his cup, and it fell to the floor with a smack.

Peter collapsed onto the sofa and cried out in alarm, "Harry, you poisoned the cola?"

"That’s right. A special poison that even Spider-Man can’t resist."

Harry stood and took a large syringe from a nearby drawer. "Peter, don’t worry. I won’t hurt you. I just want to draw a little of your blood."

"Draw my blood?"

Peter instantly thought of Black Spider and hurriedly shouted, "No, Harry, don’t."

"I’m sorry, Peter. I’ll make it up to you in the future."

Harry did not waste words. He walked to the sofa and prepared to draw Peter’s blood. Though Peter had little strength left, he still struggled desperately. He did not want another tragedy like Black Spider’s.

Seeing this, Harry simply straddled Peter, then plunged the needle into Peter’s arm.

Peter cried out in despair and pain, "No!"

"I say, Peter, do you have to react this strongly? I just want to draw your blood, not do anything to you."

Even Harry was a little speechless. Why had this turned into something like that?

Peter pleaded, "Harry, don’t."

"I have a reason I must do this."

Harry pinned Peter down tightly as he began drawing blood. At that moment, the door suddenly opened, and Gwen rushed in carrying several bags.

"Peter, I bought you a…"

Gwen had just been about to show off when she saw Harry straddling Peter. The bags in her hands hit the floor with a smack.

Harry was startled and was just about to do something when Gwen angrily shouted, "You two are actually in that kind of relationship? You’ve gone too far!"

"That kind of relationship?"

Harry froze, then realized that his position with Peter was extremely suggestive. Especially since Peter was currently "weak and helpless," with dazed eyes, a flushed face, and disheveled clothes.

Anyone who saw them would think their relationship was abnormal, right? Gwen had not seen the syringe because of the angle.

Peter was stunned as well and hurriedly said, "Gwen, listen to me."

"No explanation needed. I never thought you were this kind of person. You got me to be your girlfriend just to hide your sexual orientation, didn’t you?"

Gwen said angrily, "No wonder you were so happy to come to London. So Harry is your true love. Peter, let me tell you, we’re done. We’re breaking up."

With that, Gwen turned and stormed away. Peter wanted to stop her, but Harry covered his mouth.

After Gwen left, Harry removed his hand from Peter’s mouth and said somewhat awkwardly, "Bro, I owe you one for this."

Peter glared at Harry. Could he ever repay this? His girlfriend had run away! And if she told others about this, would he have any reputation left?

Harry became even more awkward. Just as he was about to say something, the front door was kicked open with a bang, and three burly men rushed in, aiming guns at Harry.

"Damn it."

Harry hurriedly fled toward the back with the syringe. He was incredibly fast. Before the burly men could decide whether to shoot, he had already vanished.

"You go after him. Be careful, his speed isn’t normal."

The lead man gestured for his subordinates to chase Harry, then walked over to Peter and checked his condition.

Peter asked in astonishment, "Who are you?"

"They’re bodyguards from Watchmen Company, specifically assigned to protect you."

Gwen jogged in from the doorway and asked Peter anxiously, "Peter, are you okay?"

Peter asked in surprise, "I’m fine, just poisoned. Gwen, you didn’t misunderstand?"

"I admit that I did get the wrong idea at first, but I quickly realized something was off."

Gwen said smugly, "Your position was obviously strange. I’ve read so many Spider-Man and Electro comics, after all."

"Huh?"

Peter froze, then said indignantly, "You actually read those kinds of comics about me and Electro? You’re my girlfriend!"

Gwen was somewhat embarrassed and hurriedly changed the subject. "So I pretended to be angry and went outside to call the bodyguards. They were actually following us the whole time."

Peter was dumbfounded. "They were following us the whole time? How did I not know?"

"Because they weren’t hostile toward you. You’re a Super Hero of Watchmen Company. Normally, it wouldn’t matter, but when you travel far from home, Watchmen Company would definitely send people to protect you."

Gwen said, "Oh, right, Watchmen Company also specifically sent people to secretly protect Aunt May."

"Really?"

Peter was even more shocked. Thinking of something, he asked in confusion, "Why do you know everything?"

"Because I’m planning to become your part-time manager."

Gwen smiled. "I want to spend more time with my boyfriend, so I don’t have to go all day without seeing him."

Peter felt a little awkward, but he was even more touched. Gwen was so good to him.

"Sorry to interrupt your flirting."

The bodyguard leader said, "I’ve already called. The ambulance will arrive soon."

Peter hurriedly said, "No, I can’t go to a hospital. My identity will be exposed."

"Don’t worry, it’s a hospital owned by Mr. Wang."

The bodyguard leader smiled. "In fact, Mr. Wang has acquired most of the hospitals in London."

"Mr. Wang’s Money Power is getting more and more impressive."

Peter sighed in relief. At that moment, the two bodyguards returned empty-handed and said, "Harry got away. He’s an Enhanced Human."

The bodyguard leader asked, "Mr. Parker, besides poisoning you, what else did he do to you?"

"He drew my blood."

Peter said painfully. The tragedy of Black Spider was about to happen again.

"This is troublesome. I’ll report this to headquarters immediately and see if we can find Harry."

The bodyguard leader said hurriedly. Peter nodded and said, "Thank you."

Not long after, the ambulance arrived. Two medical workers lifted Peter onto a stretcher, while Gwen stayed close by his side.

In the ambulance, Peter was silent for a moment before saying to Gwen, "Gwen, can you stop reading those kinds of comics in the future? It’s really embarrassing."

Gwen’s eyes flickered as she said, "Don’t worry, I won’t read them anymore."

Peter asked, "Really?"

"Really."

Gwen nodded, and Peter believed her. He sighed. Today had truly been terrible. First, he had been betrayed by his childhood friend, then he discovered that his girlfriend liked reading special comics about him and others.

Harry, why did you steal my blood? What exactly are you trying to do?

"Ah!" In a mysterious place, Harry screamed with his upper body bare. As Mephisto’s projection pressed bloodstained needles into him, he said, "To gain power, you must first endure pain. That is an eternal truth."

Harry gritted his teeth and retorted, "When Blood God gained power, he didn’t suffer pain. He only gained a fortune that could rival a nation’s."

"I think you haven’t suffered enough pain yet."

Mephisto increased his strength, and Harry screamed again. He was utterly speechless. You were a dignified Hell Lord, so why were you so petty? After quite a while, Mephisto finally stopped. Looking at the Blood Spider tattoo on Harry’s back, he nodded in satisfaction. It seemed his skills had not declined. Other than the eight spider legs being uneven in length, everything else was perfect.

Harry was in so much pain that he was nearly collapsing. He fell to the ground, his eyes bloodshot as he asked, "Where’s the power? Why can’t I feel any power?"

"How could it be that fast? This is only the beginning. Did you think I was deliberately torturing you earlier?"

Mephisto said, "No, I was helping you get used to pain first. Next, it will hurt ten times worse than before."

Harry asked suspiciously, "Really?"

"Of course that’s a lie. I was obviously deliberately torturing you."

Mephisto laughed loudly. "Kid, you made a deal with a devil, and you still expect a good ending?"

Harry was speechless. He gritted his teeth and said, "Even if there is no good ending, I will still avenge my father."

"I like your determination. Then let’s begin."

Mephisto pressed both hands downward, and a massive Magic Array lit up. Then he shouted toward Hell, "What are you waiting for?"

"Mephisto, you’re getting off easy this time."

The many lords snorted coldly and projected their power into the Magic Array to sustain it.

This Magic Array had two functions. One was to hide its aura, while the other was to summon the Hell Spider King. If Mephisto presided over it alone, Kamar-Taj would definitely discover it, so the lords had to team up.

Everything was to kill Blood God.

As the Hell Lords projected their power, a pitch-black spatial rift opened. The Hell Spider King, covered in demonic energy and only palm-sized after deliberately shrinking itself, crawled out of the rift. It glanced fearfully at Mephisto, then crawled toward Harry.

"Harry, next, you must battle the Hell Spider King’s will. If you lose, your soul will be devoured by it."

Mephisto said, "On the other hand, if you win, you will gain all its power. Even in Hell, the Hell Spider King is no ordinary creature. If you obtain it, your strength will surpass that of most people on Earth."

"I will definitely win, because I want revenge. I want to kill Blood God!"

Harry shouted with a savage expression. The lords nodded in satisfaction. This was exactly the kind of spirit they wanted.

The next moment, the Hell Spider King bit Harry’s neck and injected its soul and power into his body. Harry screamed in agony, but his fists remained clenched tight, his eyes filled with hatred and determination.

A battle of wills had officially begun.

An hour later, the Hell Spider King disappeared. Harry staggered to his feet, his body overflowing with violent demonic energy. He clenched a fist brimming with power and shouted excitedly, "So this is power? Great! All that pain was worth it."

"Very good."

The lords were equally satisfied. Mephisto said, "Harry, whether you can kill Blood God depends on you."

"Don’t worry, Blood God will definitely die."

Harry said through gritted teeth, "Osborn Family, blood for blood."

Mephisto nodded and said to the void, "Birdman, the feather."

A black Fallen Angel feather slowly drifted down from the sky. Lucifer said blandly, "Because of that name you called me, ten thousand Fallen Angels will join Blackheart’s ranks."

Harry was speechless. Why was every one of these Hell Lords more petty than the last? Was that a Hell specialty?

Mephisto gave the sky the middle finger, handed the feather to Harry, and said, "Keep it safe. The demonic energy on you is too strong. You must use the feather to hide it, or Kamar-Taj will come for you immediately."

Harry said arrogantly, "So what if it’s Kamar-Taj? I feel invincible now. Mephisto, why don’t I just go kill Blood God directly?"

Mephisto sighed. This was a common aftereffect of fusing with a demon creature—when power increased too quickly, one became overconfident.

Fortunately, this aftereffect was easy to cure. Mephisto picked up a stick and smashed it down onto Harry’s head—one beating would do the trick, and the harder the beating, the faster the cure.

"Mephisto, why are you hitting me? It hurts so much! Huh, why can’t I use my power?"

"Mephisto, don’t, ah!"

"Mephisto, I know I was wrong. I shouldn’t have been so arrogant."

"Mephisto, screw your whole family! You’re still hitting me?"

Inside a villa, Spider-Man Peter Parker stared intently at a screen showing a young man slaughtering mercenaries.

Yes, slaughtering them. Demonic energy poured from the young man’s body as his hands became sharp blades, cutting off one mercenary head after another. Even more shocking, his face was full of excitement. He even licked the blood from his fingers, looking every bit like a murderous maniac.

Looking at that familiar yet unfamiliar face, Peter was full of pain. How had Harry become like this? "Judging from the demonic energy on him, he should have fused with a demon creature from Hell."

Wang Bert said, "This is not a good thing. The demon creature’s soul will affect his mind and gradually turn him into a true demon creature."

Peter hurriedly asked, "Mr. Wang, is there a way to save Harry?"

Wang Bert asked, "You don’t hate him?"

Peter said, "I’m angry at him, but I don’t hate him. Harry isn’t bad by nature. He must have been deceived."

"You really are good to him."

Wang Bert shook his head. "Unfortunately, he can’t be saved anymore. Fusing with a demon creature is irreversible."

"It’s all my fault. If I had been more vigilant and hadn’t let him get my blood, he wouldn’t have become like this."

Peter said remorsefully, "I made another mistake, just like with Black Spider. Why am I so stupid? Why do I never learn my lesson?"
