Hidden Rating (Bonus Chapter)

"Little one, you still have an even more precious offering on you, don’t you? Why not present it as well?"

The Goddess narrowed her eyes. She seemed to be in an excellent mood after receiving five consecutive B-rank Anomaly Points as offerings, yet she still greedily wanted more—especially that rarer kind of information, that delicacy which was not usually easy to obtain.

"Goddess, I would like to know roughly what level my hidden rating in the Space has reached."

This was another piece of secret intelligence he had obtained from Heaven’s Will.

All Reincarnators knew that to enter the Goddess’s Abode, one had to possess Anomaly Points. Anomaly Points were the threshold for entering this place.

After entering, most of the time, the Goddess would only interact with Reincarnators through the limited options available. Reincarnators could make all sorts of requests and ask all sorts of questions, but the Goddess would only answer according to their permissions and ratings.

Ordinary Reincarnators, Star-rank Reincarnators, and Title-level Reincarnators were all special classifications the Goddess assigned based on the rank of Anomaly Points a Reincarnator could provide.

With ill intent, Bai Cangshu equated this practice to luxury goods salespeople in the real world issuing different VIP cards and providing different levels of service according to a customer’s wealth.

Yet few Reincarnators would probe into exactly what level of information each rating could obtain from the Goddess.

Only a handful of Reincarnators idle enough—or rather, meticulous enough—would do such a thing, and it required spending a large number of Anomaly Points on trial and error.

Bai Cangshu was now a 2-Star Reincarnator among the Star-rank Reincarnators, and the Goddess’s interactions with him were noticeably more accommodating.

He had also learned that at his level, he could actually obtain some valuable "hints" from the Goddess.

Just as the Goddess had previously told Bai Cangshu that there was no need to wait for talents to naturally anchor. In many cases, talents directly formed by Her were faster to take shape and just as powerful.

Heaven’s Will’s Mr. Mouse proved that point.

What Bai Cangshu wanted now was precisely a "hint."

The reason Reincarnators were always in danger while carrying out missions in the Space, and found it difficult to enter low-difficulty worlds to "farm points," was because the Space had established an evaluation system for every Reincarnator.

The better a Reincarnator performed, the higher their evaluation became, and the more difficult the world they entered in their next mission would be. Of course, high-difficulty worlds naturally possessed higher-level resources.

Conversely, Reincarnators of average strength gained very few rewards and would not easily be sent to high-difficulty worlds to become cannon fodder.

The Space squeezed every Reincarnator to their limits within the bounds of their own strength.

This evaluation system gave rise to two special situations.

The first was Farming Teams. When Reincarnators acted as a team, deployment was assessed based on the team’s combined strength and performance. Thus, the usual practice of Farming Teams was to constantly recruit newcomers, then constantly lose those newcomers in mission worlds.

The team’s average returns were mediocre, but the actual gains were all taken by the farmers. This "cancerous" model allowed the farmers to survive relatively more easily, but the team’s overall strength was terrible, making them highly prone to facing the risk of total annihilation in team battle worlds.

The second situation involved special newcomers like Bai Cangshu, whose true combat strength was exceptionally high and whose growth rate was too fast, causing major fluctuations in the Space’s evaluation system.

Taking Bai Cangshu as an example, his completion rates in the Dragon Ball World, Demon Slayer World, Jujutsu World, and The Boys World after entering the Space had all been quite high. He had also successfully escaped veteran Reincarnators like the Flame Demon and Moon Demon, and thwarted Kai and White Face.

As a result, the Space’s evaluation of Bai Cangshu had been greatly raised, far surpassing his true rank at his current tier.

That was why he had been deployed to the One Piece World and encountered that incomparably brutal large-scale team battle mission. Moreover, in that world, Bai Cangshu had been placed in the weakest first echelon.

This meant that in the Space’s judgment, this "super-tier newcomer," who had once thwarted Strong-tier elites like Kai and White Face, was a Reincarnator whose overall strength exceeded second-tier elites such as the Moon Demon and Flame Demon.

The Space believed that Bai Cangshu, together with those rabble who had started fighting among themselves and been instantly killed by Enel, could truly contend against teams like the Flame Demon’s, Critical Sniping’s, and the Lapis Lazuli Knight’s.

However, because of the Black King’s interference and the appearance of God Hand: Roland, Bai Cangshu’s mission completion rate in that world had been extremely low, and his clearance evaluation had not been high either.

Therefore, after that world, the Space lowered its assessment of Bai Cangshu’s strength. His next mission world became a more peaceful cooperative team mission, and its timeline was selected from the weakest point in the Naruto World—when Six Paths-level characters had not yet appeared, and even Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama were already dead.

The "hint" Bai Cangshu wanted now was to learn how much his rating had risen after the huge harvest in the Naruto Derivative World.

This could, to a certain extent, allow him to judge the danger level of his next mission world.

"What an unwise little fellow. Haven’t I been hinting at it since the moment you came here…?"

The Goddess did not say it outright, but Bai Cangshu understood.

"You are dangerous. Extremely dangerous."

The Goddess extended a finger. That enormous finger seemed carved from white jade. The moment it touched Bai Cangshu’s body, the Flame Dragon Scales on his back appeared and rose one by one.

It was an incredibly terrifying sense of crisis.

Bai Cangshu’s heart pounded like a drum, and his body swelled in an instant. His violently beating heart caused a great amount of lightning power to gather within him, while arcs of electricity coursed over his body.

But that sense of crisis vanished in an instant, and the Goddess returned to her languid posture.

Bai Cangshu frowned. He increasingly sensed that everything this Goddess did might carry some special meaning.

He looked at his talent.

Talent: Anomaly Anchoring, re-anchoring in progress...

This state had persisted through an entire mission world without changing in the slightest. Ever since he had entered that wondrous state in the One Piece World, the two similar descriptions previously anchored by his talent had disappeared.

"Goddess, my talent…"

Querying this information requires payment of D-rank Anomaly Point ×1. Proceed with payment?

A single question actually cost an Anomaly Point. Bai Cangshu became even more curious about the source of that "madness" of his.

You have lost D-rank Anomaly Point ×1

Only then did the Goddess speak at the appropriate moment.

"Every person’s talent in this world is a strange stone, a beautiful jade—each with its own shape, strengths, weaknesses, and uses."

"Yet a very small number of people possess special abilities different from others. Their talents are uncarved rough stones, unworked raw jade."

"To turn a rough stone into something useful, to reveal the form within raw jade, it naturally must be carved again and again."

"If a great existence such as I were to do it, it could naturally be completed very quickly. But if mortals like you wish to rely on your own innate gifts to carve it, heh…"

Clouds and mist drifted over, concealing the Goddess’s smile, but the mockery in Her tone was unmistakable.

Bai Cangshu automatically filtered out her tone and obtained the information he wanted from her words.

In other words, if he wanted to manifest his talent by himself, he had to keep using it, keep pushing it to its limits.

And in the Naruto Derivative World, since he had not encountered much danger, he had only entered that state a few times.

Once he understood this, Bai Cangshu had found his direction.

He turned and left without using up all his remaining Anomaly Points at once. This time, he had quite a few sought-after items at his stall, and he might very well trade them for useful abilities and traits.

He could return to strengthen himself before his next mission deployment.

Bai Cangshu turned and left the Goddess’s Abode. The moment he returned to the public space, he received a message.
