I, Izayoi Sakamaki, Joined the Chat Group at the Start

But if people could ride, why would they walk?

Mithras seemed to have started forming his own thoughts as well. During the time he had followed Izayoi Sakamaki, he had thought about many things.

Yet seeing how powerful Izayoi Sakamaki was still made him breathe a sigh of relief.

After all, whether he wanted to find his fellow clansmen or take revenge on the Ishtar people,

he needed Izayoi Sakamaki’s help.

The stronger the other party was, the easier it would be for him to achieve his goal.

Izayoi Sakamaki did not know much about what Mithras was thinking.

He stretched and said, "I can draw them out, and I can fight them, but if I make a move, that little pup might…"

Izayoi Sakamaki was not talking nonsense.

Once a battle began and things reached a critical point, no one would be able to hold back.

Moreover, that little wolf clearly trusted and relied on the Ishtar people deeply. Seeing them being hunted down, it would definitely rush in to help without regard for its own safety.

Izayoi Sakamaki could not guarantee that he would not kill it.

Having realized Izayoi Sakamaki’s nature, Mithras said in a deep voice,

"Our Hounds of Tindalos Clan will hold it back."

"Do whatever you wish, sir."

"But sir, do you have a way to attract the Ishtar people’s attention?"

Izayoi Sakamaki chuckled. "Of course. Those Ishtar people covet my knowledge greatly."

And his body.

Izayoi Sakamaki silently added that in his heart.

It was his instinct as a powerhouse. Although the Ishtar person inside Gilgamesh’s body had concealed it well,

he had still noticed something from the greed and desire in its eyes.

For all he knew, they might not want to return the body at all.

Izayoi Sakamaki could already sense the terrifying purpose hidden beneath the Ishtar people’s friendly facade.

That was also why he had watched from nearby as the Ishtar people exchanged bodies with the Chat Group members.

His strength was enough to ensure the group members’ safety anyway.

Besides, the Chat Group was with the members as well.

No matter where they went,

Izayoi Sakamaki could immediately use a Travel Card to reach their side.

Perhaps the Ishtar people had sensed this too, which was why they had put away their vicious fangs and faced them with smiles.

What a pity. Just the fact that they wanted to take Gilgamesh’s body was enough for Izayoi Sakamaki to sentence their entire race to death.

But those crafty fellows were not easy to track down.

Mithras asked curiously, "Sir, where should we go to find them?"

Even for a Hound of Tindalos, locating one of its own kind was extremely difficult.

Only hounds familiar with each other could do such a thing.

That little pup had not set foot in Tindalos City even once since its birth, so its aura had naturally never been recorded.

Izayoi Sakamaki smiled faintly. "Their race wants me too badly, so I should be able to lure them out."

Of course, he was not entirely certain.

Although the Ishtar people had repeatedly said they wanted to exchange bodies with him,

they had not done anything particularly unusual.

After all, there were simply too many people they had to fear.

The Righteously Indignant Ishtar People

Although they knew the Ishtar people were interested in Izayoi Sakamaki, they wandered through several universes and still could not find any trace of them.

As he flew, Mithras said in great confusion,

"Their aura was just here. Why did it disappear?"

"Can they run that fast now?"

Izayoi Sakamaki sat up as well and looked around.

"Yeah. They all vanished. What’s going on?"

"Could it be that I’m not attractive enough to them?"

As soon as he said that, the two of them looked at each other.

Yet with just that glance, they both discovered the problem.

Izayoi Sakamaki opened his mouth and said, "…Could it be because you’re here?"

"…" Mithras opened his huge mouth slightly, then slowly raised a claw to cover his face.

Unbelievable.

They were not that foolish, were they?

Why had they thought that with Mithras, the King of the Hounds of Tindalos, here, they could still attract the Ishtar people’s interest?

The moment they sensed Mithras’s aura, the Ishtar people had run as far away as possible.

There was no way they would ever encounter them.

After realizing their mistake, Izayoi Sakamaki had Mithras follow from far behind while he went ahead to scout.

Mithras said, "But you’re covered in my scent. They’ll definitely notice."

Izayoi Sakamaki had ridden on Mithras’s back through several universes, so naturally he was covered in Mithras’s aura.

However, Izayoi Sakamaki was not troubled by this. He gave Mithras a few instructions, then turned and strolled toward another world by himself.

Mithras watched him from behind with a deeply worried gaze.

But as he watched, Mithras could not help widening his eyes.

As Izayoi Sakamaki walked casually, a trace of black mist emerged around him.

Within it, the head of a Great Beast could even be vaguely seen.

Though Mithras had never seen such a strange being before, the fur all over his body stood on end, and he almost instantly returned to the hunting stance he usually took.

That was something capable of devouring him?!

Something like that actually existed in the universe?

As Mithras thought heavily, he saw that Great Beast turn its head and glance at him.

Its expression seemed full of mockery.

Yet it quickly withdrew back into Izayoi Sakamaki’s body and vanished from sight.

Mithras was afraid of leaving his aura on Izayoi Sakamaki again, so he did not dare truly focus his gaze on him.

But Mithras could still sense that his own aura had suddenly disappeared.

No wonder sir did not care much about him following along.

So he had such a powerful and insane Great Beast by his side.

Izayoi Sakamaki had no idea that Mithras’s emotions had suddenly become complicated. He patted the girl’s head and said,

"Good job, girl. I didn’t expect you to really be able to eat it."

What Izayoi Sakamaki had been thinking was that Mithras controlled Spacetime, so perhaps his aura also contained traces of Spacetime.

If so, would that not be perfect nourishment for the girl?

After all, it seemed he had not fed her in quite some time.

The girl licked her lips. "Master, he tasted pretty good. Can I go take another bite?"

Izayoi Sakamaki froze, then turned to look at Mithras.

He found Mithras wearing a terrified expression. When he saw Izayoi Sakamaki turn around, he even trembled before forcing out a somewhat pitiful smile.

Of course, on a wolf’s face, it still looked rather savage.

Izayoi Sakamaki looked at him, then at the girl.

He stressed very seriously, "You can’t eat him."

The girl pouted. "Why? You used to let me eat whatever I wanted! You don’t love me anymore! Wuwuwuwuwu!"

Izayoi Sakamaki had a terrible headache. He had not expected the girl to start throwing a tantrum.

Sure enough, Taotie became unreasonable whenever she was hungry.

He gently stroked the girl’s head and said, "You can’t eat him."

The girl muttered, "Fine, then. Once I catch one of his clansmen, I’ll definitely eat my fill…"

Izayoi Sakamaki guiltily glanced at Mithras again.

The look left the other party utterly confused.

Izayoi Sakamaki said, "Little girl, don’t get carried away just because I gave you a little encouragement. I’ve prepared other tasty things for you, so why are you so fixated on that wolf?"

Izayoi Sakamaki could say without any politeness

that Mithras only looked big. In reality, he was just very fluffy.

There might not even be much meat on him. Izayoi Sakamaki thought he probably would not be enough even for himself, so how could he possibly be enough to fill Taotie’s teeth?

Izayoi Sakamaki told the girl his guess.

When the girl heard it, she felt that he made perfect sense.

So she decided to shift her target and look for the "Ishtar people as thin and long as noodles" that Izayoi Sakamaki had mentioned.

Back in Gilgamesh’s world, she had been asleep and had not sensed anything that happened at all!!!

Chivalrous Izayoi

Izayoi Sakamaki took the little girl through several worlds. It was not as though they had been wandering around aimlessly.

Whenever he saw the aura of Outer Gods, he would lend a hand, so he had no idea where he had ended up.

But that was not a problem for Izayoi Sakamaki.

After all, he had seen quite a few interesting things along the way.

There were even worlds that were especially flat, with life living on both their front and back sides.

All in all, Izayoi Sakamaki had been quite satisfied with the journey.

Until he was intently cracking sunflower seeds in one world,

while the little girl clutched a bowl and chopsticks as she ate ravenously,

when someone walked over to the two of them.

Izayoi Sakamaki raised his head and gave the person a glance. It was an unfamiliar face.

Izayoi Sakamaki quickly looked away.

But soon, he looked back.

Because the other party said,

"Mr. Izayoi, what a coincidence. I didn’t expect to run into you here as well."

Izayoi Sakamaki put on an act of not recognizing him, but inwardly, he was practically sneering.

The adult male before him looked like an ordinary alien creature, but the consciousness inside his body had already been exchanged with an Ishtar person.
