I, Izayoi Sakamaki, Joined the Chat Group at the Start – Chapter 246

He vanished from where he stood in an instant.

When Izayoi Sakamaki woke up, he could not help but frown.

"Ugh…"

Suddenly, Izayoi Sakamaki discovered that a group of strange and bizarre people had gathered around him.

They were the very group that had appeared in the Bone Tribe just now.

Izayoi Sakamaki looked around and found that every one of them wore an eerie smile on their faces.

They looked down at him from above.

Izayoi Sakamaki was not afraid. He merely smiled and said, "So this was what you were after."

"Where’s that pup that attacked me just now?"

Pink Starfish said lightly, "Tindalos has gone to stand guard."

"Don’t worry. With such an obedient watchdog keeping watch, no one will be able to disturb our ritual."

Izayoi Sakamaki gave a mocking snort.

"You could not even be bothered to change its name? You really are terrible at hiding yourselves."

Starfish smiled. "It’s fine. Everyone who knows about Tindalos is already dead."

Izayoi Sakamaki said casually, "You’re not about to say that includes me, are you?"

He tried moving his hand and found that he had been tied to some sort of stone slab.

The uneven patterns beneath him were extremely uncomfortable.

Izayoi Sakamaki frowned and put on a show of struggling twice before someone pinned him down.

"You’d better not move. It would be troublesome if this body got damaged."

Izayoi Sakamaki sighed, relaxed against the slab, and said, "It’s just an exchange of spiritual bodies. There’s no need to be this nervous, right?"

Even at a time like this, Izayoi Sakamaki was still trying to play dumb.

The Ishtar people clearly had not expected this. Everyone suddenly froze.

Pink Starfish said, "Ah, yes. This is our Clan Grounds, after all, so we’re being more cautious. We hope you’ll cooperate with us."

Seeing his expression suddenly turn kind and benevolent, Izayoi Sakamaki could not help but laugh.

"Sure. If you want to give it a try, I don’t mind."

He had already warned them. Since these people refused to listen, there was nothing Izayoi Sakamaki could do.

He casually picked out someone who looked like Yellow Sponge and told him to try exchanging spiritual bodies with him.

The other party excitedly pressed his forehead against Izayoi Sakamaki’s and burst into laughter.

"That’s right, he’s mine now!"

Who would have thought that the instant he made contact, Yellow Sponge suddenly exploded?

It splattered Izayoi Sakamaki all over.

Izayoi Sakamaki was dumbfounded.

He had a curse he was not sure whether he should say.

But the people around him did not seem to react at all?

Izayoi Sakamaki suddenly felt a strange fluctuation trying to enter his body through the yellow viscous substance.

He watched calmly until the Perpetual Motion Machine within him seemed to realize something and suddenly began operating wildly.

Izayoi Sakamaki felt something inside his body abruptly explode.

It was as though every cell had begun screaming warnings. Izayoi Sakamaki was immediately swallowed by white light.

The entire Great Race of Is was swallowed by it as well.

Outside the door, Mithras and the girl, who had just subdued the underage Tindalos, froze and exchanged glances.

As if sensing something, Tindalos let out a mournful howl and tried to break free of its restraints to rush inside.

The girl immediately opened her mouth wide in a threatening gesture, while Mithras firmly pinned it down to keep it from escaping.

Mithras asked, "Girl, can you sense what’s happening inside?"

The girl said impatiently, "How would I know? Anyway, Master isn’t dead."

Mithras dared not voice his anger, inwardly grumbling, If anything happens to Lord Izayoi, you’ll definitely be buried with him!

After passing through the flames within, Izayoi Sakamaki walked out.

The moment he emerged, he saw the two of them.

Mithras and the girl were both staring blankly at him as if they had seen a ghost.

Izayoi Sakamaki raised a brow and asked, "What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

The girl immediately pounced on him. "Master! Mithras thought you were dead! Wuwuwuwuwu!"

Mithras had just been about to nod with a smile when he heard her say that. He immediately panicked. "No, I didn’t! I didn’t, Lord Izayoi! I’m very happy that you came out safe and sound!"

Izayoi Sakamaki nodded casually.

He did not really care much about such things, but… "Girl, you’ve actually learned how to slander others. You’ve grown up, haven’t you?!"

Dogs Are Humanity’s Best Friends

After a while, the girl covered her face, which had been pinched bright red, and glared at Izayoi Sakamaki in tearful fury.

"Master, you’re bullying demons too much!"

Izayoi Sakamaki looked at her amusedly and said with a smile, "Aren’t you my Zanpakutō? Having rosy, tender cheeks isn’t bad. They look pretty."

After saying that casually, Izayoi Sakamaki looked toward Mithras.

More precisely, he looked at the battered little wolf pup beneath Mithras’s paw, which was still struggling endlessly.

This was indeed Izayoi Sakamaki’s first time seeing such a small Hound of Tindalos.

Mithras also noticed his gaze. He lowered his head, glanced at it with an apologetic look, and said quietly, "My lord, please forgive this unsightly display."

"This child may truly have been raised wild by the Ishtar people. No matter how I try to persuade her, she refuses to listen. I can only make her calm down for a while."

Izayoi Sakamaki noticed that it was glaring at him with hatred, as if he were the murderer of its father, and could not help but chuckle.

"Untie her. I’m sure she has a lot she wants to ask me."

It sounded like she was a little female dog.

Her fate after growing up definitely would not be pleasant.

After all, her mother had truly been torn to pieces…

There were probably only two possible fates for her.

One was to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a member of the Bone Tribe with her own bones.

The other was to become a breeding dog, used by the Ishtar people to mate with other races and produce more offspring carrying the bloodline of the Hounds of Tindalos.

Capturing a male Hound of Tindalos would have been even better, but even the Ishtar people knew that Hounds of Tindalos were things one could only encounter by chance. Having even one was already a blessing.

But this pup did not yet know her future fate. She only knew that the clansmen who had raised her had all been killed by the man before her.

Naturally, there could not be even a trace of goodwill in her gaze.

Mithras froze. "My lord, are you sure?"

Izayoi Sakamaki nodded lightly. "Even if you take her back, she’ll definitely find a chance to escape, or cause all sorts of trouble."

"Better to let her come to her senses here."

In fact, even without Izayoi Sakamaki saying so, Mithras had been thinking the same thing.

Although he was the Lord of the Hounds of Tindalos and also the most powerful Hound of Tindalos,

every Hound of Tindalos had its own means of escape.

They were a race that could merge into the void anytime, anywhere.

Therefore, it was not only Izayoi Sakamaki who wanted to settle everything this way. Mithras did as well.

Thus, after hesitating for only a moment, he removed Tindalos’s restraints and allowed her to speak.

Sure enough, the instant she was freed, Tindalos immediately tried to escape.

Yet just as she prepared to merge into Spacetime, she was forced back out.

Because the girl who had been rubbing her cheeks pitifully nearby looked over, and the pupils in her large, watery, innocent eyes suddenly narrowed into slits.

While the murderer of her father had his back turned toward them, the girl suddenly licked her lips at her and revealed an excited smile.

Tindalos suddenly felt as though darkness had fallen before her eyes, as if she were inside the mouth of some enormous ferocious beast.

It seemed that the creature could close its jaws at any moment and swallow her whole.

Tindalos went stiff and did not dare move.

She could only widen her eyes and watch the girl in the distance reveal an even brighter smile.

The enormous mouth was about to close.

But before that could happen, Izayoi Sakamaki seemed to sense something. He sensed the Morph, so he immediately reached out and patted the girl on the head, saying softly, "Girl, she really doesn’t taste good."

"After all, this girl wasn’t raised normally."

Mithras nodded, acknowledging Izayoi Sakamaki’s words, and said heavily, "The Ishtar people raised her entirely by cramming things into her. They never taught her anything else… though, of course, they wouldn’t know how to teach her either."

"To this day, she only knows how to use her ability to travel back and forth through Spacetime. That merely makes her more proficient at it than the others."

"If this person… ahem, had not stopped her, she might have already escaped."

Only then did Izayoi Sakamaki seem to notice that Tindalos was in the girl’s mouth. He said in sudden realization, "Oh my, Girl, how did you eat her?"

"What if you really swallow her? I remember Taotie only take things in and never let them out, right?"

The girl immediately put on an innocent expression. "That’s our nature, Master. But don’t worry, if I swallow her directly, there won’t even be any excrement."

Seeing the girl make such a solemn guarantee, Mithras’s face turned pale.

He immediately looked at Izayoi Sakamaki pleadingly. "Lord Izayoi, please show mercy!"

Izayoi Sakamaki said helplessly, "You can’t blame me for this. It’s simply Girl’s nature."

Mithras immediately understood what he meant.

He hesitantly glanced at Izayoi Sakamaki and saw only the other man’s smile.

Then he looked at the Taotie named Girl and found that her expression was unfriendly, and that she really seemed about to swallow.

I Want to Make You Die of Impatience

Although he could not see his little pup anywhere nearby, Mithras knew that she had definitely already been caught. Looking at that little Taotie, she might even already be inside someone else’s stomach!

Mithras immediately wagged his tail and pleaded, "Lord Taotie, Lady Girl, please spare our little pup. She’s thin and scrawny, she won’t taste good."

"You can eat me instead! I have plenty of meat! I taste good!"

Girl said disdainfully, "But aren’t you already old?"

Mithras said, "Don’t worry, my lady. Once we Hounds of Tindalos reach adulthood, we remain in our prime until the moment before we die, when we suddenly grow old and are devoured by Spacetime."

"So for the next ten thousand years or so, I’ll remain as I am now."

"Lord Taotie… Lady Girl, please let that little one go and eat me instead."
