Industrial Garbage

"Either way, you’ll pin the blame on Loki afterward, won’t you?"

Chen Mu sipped his tea with great interest. He had also seen through the surveillance footage that Loki had been quite cooperative, allowing his compatriots to leave the battlefield without their lives being threatened. Naturally, Chen Mu did not care whether anyone else lived or died.

Chen Mu was no saint. He was just an ordinary person, an ordinary Chinese man. He only cared whether his compatriots were threatened. As for everyone else, he did not care in the slightest!

What did it have to do with him?

"…"

Wasn’t this a commonly used tactic? However, seeing Chen Mu secretly recording everything, Coulson had no way to stop him.

With Coulson’s intelligence, he had already guessed that Chen Mu would definitely show this footage to Captain America!

Chen Mu was dark-hearted. He did not kill people, but he specialized in breaking their hearts!

Letting Captain America know that dozens had died or been wounded because of him would probably leave him drowning in inescapable grief, wouldn’t it?

But what could he do even if he knew? Coulson had no solution. He could only watch helplessly as it all happened.

Chen Mu might have been openly recording with a smile, but for all Coulson knew, the video file had already been sent to the God Spear Bureau. In that case, what was the point of trying to stop him?

"Oh, oh, oh, is this your backup plan? An army of robots?"

Watching the developments on the surveillance feed, Chen Mu asked Coulson with great interest, "Were these made by Tony Stark or Ivan Vanko?"

If they were an army of robots made by Tony Stark, they might be worth watching. But if they were Ivan Vanko’s robots, then forget it. They were just a pile of industrial garbage.

"…"

Coulson’s feelings were complicated right now. The image of his idol had crumbled in his heart, leaving him with little desire to speak.

"Then it looks like they were made by Ivan Vanko. I wonder whether they can handle Loki."

Chen Mu shrugged. He loved watching chaos unfold, so he said nothing more and simply watched the monitor as though it were a Hollywood blockbuster.

Meanwhile, Loki seemed to be toying with the Quinjet’s pilot, rapidly dodging the bullets while the barrage relentlessly followed his apparently miserable figure.

Under Loki’s deliberate guidance, countless stray bullets struck the fleeing bystanders below.

The scene became even bloodier.

In truth, Loki’s real body had long since joined those Chinese people, sitting off to the side on a little stool and munching sunflower seeds. Though Loki looked like he was fleeing in great distress on the field, it was merely an illusion he had created.

Loki himself was invisible elsewhere, watching the show.

"Hm? Have reinforcements finally arrived?"

Seeing dozens of black dots flying over from the sky, Loki could not help feeling a little expectant. Hawkeye had said that S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed quite formidable. Loki wanted to see for himself how they compared to China, since they were both on Earth.

"Uh, so it’s this garbage?"

Once the little black dots in the sky rapidly drew closer, Loki looked at the robots, and the anticipation in his heart instantly vanished.

That was it?

Had they forgotten that Loki had remotely controlled the Destroyer to attack S.H.I.E.L.D.? Later, these very robots had arrived as reinforcements, only to be wiped out in a single blow by the Destroyer under Loki’s control.

No matter how many of this kind of trash came, they would still be garbage.

If S.H.I.E.L.D. had only this much ability, they wanted to stop him?

Were they dreaming in broad daylight?

"Seriously, making garbage robots like these is nothing but a waste of resources."

Loki curled his lip speechlessly. It was true that he wanted S.H.I.E.L.D. to capture him voluntarily, but they at least had to make it look respectable!

Sending an ordinary soldier had been bad enough, and now they were sending a bunch of garbage robots?

How little did they think of him?

Loki was somewhat displeased and directly manipulated the illusion. The scene on the battlefield suddenly changed.

All the ordinary people fleeing in every direction instantly turned into Loki.

Ivan Vanko’s robots used an extremely high-resolution camera for their "visual" systems, transmitting the captured images to a central computer, which then controlled the robots’ movements.

Loki’s illusion magic was practically the perfect counter to these robots.

By directly turning all the bystanders into copies of himself, the robots were instantly left at a loss.

Then every robot raised its gun and opened fire on the bystanders.

"Rat-a-tat-tat…"

This was far more vicious than using the Quinjet to kill people earlier.

Dozens of "advanced robots" indiscriminately attacked the bystanders below, causing unimaginable casualties in mere moments.

See? They truly were industrial garbage. They were useless against enemies, yet utterly merciless toward bystanders.

In just a few minutes, barely any bystanders in the area were still able to run.

This also made the Avengers in S.H.I.E.L.D., led by Nick Fury, look as dark as Nick Fury himself.

This was what you had sworn—that S.H.I.E.L.D. could solve everything and easily bring Loki to justice?

What kind of bullshit joke was that?

Tony Stark could not stand it any longer. Together with Black Widow, he donned his armor and flew out of the Helicarrier toward the battlefield to provide support.

This bunch of useless fools at S.H.I.E.L.D. truly could not be relied upon.

And they had said that Captain America and Ivan Vanko working together would be enough to defeat Loki.

Was this how they planned to defeat him? The Avengers’ first battle could not have failed more thoroughly. The scene was simply too horrible to watch.

Chen Mu did not even need to stir things up. Tony and Black Widow were already considering quitting immediately.

It was fucking humiliating!

Loki was clearly still not satisfied. Under his magical control, the robots also transformed into copies of Loki. The next moment, the robots flying in the sky began a frenzied free-for-all, attacking one another.

Through the images captured by their cameras, the computer identified every one of them as an enemy.

In only a few seconds, barely any robots remained in the sky. S.H.I.E.L.D. had remotely shut down their attack systems, leaving them hovering in the air like a bunch of idiots.

As expected of the First Mage of the Nine Realms, Loki’s strength was quite impressive. At any rate, dealing with these robots could not have been easier for him.

With nothing more than simple illusion magic, he had S.H.I.E.L.D.’s people spinning in circles.

Honestly, Loki’s illusion magic was not fundamentally much different from Mysterio’s future virtual-reality illusions.

One was a projection created through technology, while the other was an illusion created through magic. As long as they were used properly, both could unleash unimaginable power.

"Finally, two people who are at least somewhat decent have arrived."

After dealing with the robot army, Loki looked at the two people flying over from afar and finally nodded in satisfaction.
