"Lord!"

At Vampire Castle, Gu Sheng was reading the history books of this world. He was thoroughly engrossed when a shout suddenly came from outside the door.

"Come in!"

Without even looking up, he merely waved his hand slightly, and the door opened on its own.

"This…"

Outside the room, Qi Lingyun was still holding his hand out as if preparing to grasp the doorknob. A flicker of surprise flashed through his eyes, and the look he gave Gu Sheng became even more respectful and yearning.

"What is it?"

Gu Sheng picked up the small porcelain cup beside him and took a sip of tea. This Eastern treasure was worth no less than its weight in gold in this world—though Victor, as a great lord who was hardly short of money, could naturally afford it.

"Mr. Victor sent word. A descendant of Corvinus has been found."

Qi Lingyun lowered his head as he spoke, but faint emotions flickered in his eyes. Clearly, he had thoughts of his own.

"Found?"

There was no joy or sorrow in Gu Sheng’s voice. He showed no interest in Qi Lingyun’s thoughts, merely tapping his fingers against the table repeatedly. After thinking for a while, he looked up and said, "Have them bring him to the drawing room."

Gu Sheng rose as he spoke, opened the door, and entered the bedroom. The Corvinus Family descended from Alexander’s third son possessed Perfect Blood, but that bloodline had been tempered by time and was already completely incomparable to the original.

For example, wolf venom and a bat’s bite were nothing to Alexander, but they had brought such immense changes to Marcus and William. Although they had both gained an Immortal Body, they had also suffered enormous side effects.

As for Alexander’s third son, the purity of the Perfect Blood in his body had most likely never surpassed Marcus’s. His descendants went without saying. Moreover, the Perfect Blood in their branch was recessive and had never been activated.

The greatest use of the Perfect Blood in this branch was to serve as a fusion agent, giving the bloodlines of the other two branches of the undead a chance to merge.

In other words, this bloodline was not actually all that useful to Gu Sheng. The power of this recessive Perfect Blood was mediocre and might not meet his requirements at all. If possible, what he most wanted was still the original, primordial Perfect Blood.

"So this is a descendant of Corvinus!"

When Gu Sheng entered the drawing room carrying a case with Liu Daimei, Marcus, Amelia, and Victor were already waiting there. Lucian and Sonia were standing beside them as well, serving as Gu Sheng’s attendants during this period.

In the middle of the drawing room, a young man was lying on the floor, bound tightly from head to toe. Tears trickled from the corners of his eyes, and with his mouth gagged, he could only make muffled whimpers.

"I’ve already verified it. There’s that particular scent in his blood."

Marcus nodded. Gu Sheng noticed that some Bloodline Limit still remained on the man’s wrist. It was probably the work they had just carried out.

"Excellent!"

Gu Sheng smiled and beckoned to Lucian. When Lucian approached, Gu Sheng took out a Syringe and drew some blood from Lucian’s heart, preserving three tubes as before.

Although Lucian’s bloodline was not of a high generation among the Werewolves, the first intelligent Werewolf naturally had something special about him.

Gu Sheng then walked over and crouched beside the fellow on the floor, who was nearly scared senseless. He pricked him with the thin needle, and a tube of blood was drawn out.

Liu Daimei had already assembled the microscope. Using the blood of Lucian and this man, along with Victor’s donated blood as specimens, Gu Sheng observed how the three samples mixed beneath the microscope.

"Perfect!"

Beneath the microscope, it was just like the scene in the film where the Werewolf scientist witnessed the process. Under the impetus of this recessive Perfect Blood, the Vampire and Werewolf bloodlines fused together, forming a new lineage.

"It worked. It’s him!"

Gu Sheng said with a smile. This time, he drew three tubes of blood from the man’s heart. It nearly killed him outright. He was only an ordinary human, after all, and had none of an undead creature’s recovery ability.

"Lucian!"

Gu Sheng sealed away the three tubes of inferior Perfect Blood, then beckoned to Lucian. Once Lucian came over, the tube of blood that had already been mixed was injected into his heart under Victor and the others’ watchful eyes.

"Thump! Thump!"

Lucian suddenly began to convulse violently. Changes appeared across his body without his control. This time, he looked neither like a wolf nor a bat, but something akin to an alien—the Wolf Ghost that the protagonist Michael transformed into in the film Underworld.

"Mr. Will, Lucian is…"

Victor watched Lucian’s transformation with considerable doubt. Why did this guy look so different from Marcus?

"Perfectly normal. This is the result of the Lycan bloodline making up the majority of the mixed lineage."

Gu Sheng shook the now-empty test tube. "There was only one tube of Perfect Blood and your blood injected into his body. As for how much Lycan blood he had in him, the transformation naturally had to be based on the Werewolf side.

"If you two were injected with his blood, you would transform more like Marcus. How about it? Want some?"

As he spoke, Gu Sheng pointed at the tubes of blood beside him. They had all been drawn from Lucian earlier. Only three tubes had been preserved because the Lord God only allowed three tubes of any one type to be brought along.

After all, if he brought hundreds of tubes of ordinary Werewolf or Vampire blood at once, certification would not cost many points. But if he brought it into the real world, the consequences would be…

"Sure…"

Victor glanced at Amelia. After exchanging a look, the two nodded at Gu Sheng. As the dark red blood was injected into their veins, they underwent a transformation like Marcus’s. Two giant bats appeared in the drawing room.

"Wuwu~~~ Wuwuwu~~~"

Mark Corvinus, lying on the floor, was terrified. He kept letting out muffled whimpers. What was happening today? Why had a minor noble like him been tied up and brought to this place by the lord? And what had those two giant bats just been?

"What an excellent feeling. Perfect!"

Victor and Amelia returned to their original forms. Having been prepared in advance, they had put on loose cloaks beforehand.

"Marcus, Lucian, come over here. I’ll draw all his blood in a moment. When he’s close to death, infect him."

Gu Sheng’s words made Marcus and Lucian pause. After exchanging a glance, they still walked over.

Gu Sheng’s idea was somewhat crazy. What kind of new species would be created by combining the Wolf Ghost and the bat monster? It was not that Gu Sheng was being cruel to this man. On the contrary, he was helping him.

The moment this descendant of Corvinus had fallen into the Vampire Castle, his fate had already changed. If nothing unexpected happened, he would be raised as a blood cow and have his blood drawn continuously by the Vampires.

If he was lucky, he might receive the first embrace after all the Vampires had been transformed. If he was unlucky, he would simply be drained dry and die.

What Gu Sheng was doing now was draining him dry all at once. Although it would harm his body, having him infected by the Vampire progenitor Marcus and the progenitor of intelligent Werewolves, Lucian, would at least give him greater potential and stronger power, allowing him to take control of his own fate.
